"May you have a lifetime of joy, love and success together." Edward's grandfather Marcus Cullen raised a toast. He was quite a magnificent man. I'd love to have this much energy at his age! He was the founder of Cullen Inc. and he's known as a ruthless, visionary businessman. Edward really looked up to him. He said he was his hero and he had so much to learn from him. I also couldn't wait to learn everything from him.
The party was going great! People thought Edward and I made a great pair, well, I had to agree with them!
I smiled as I saw Edward chatting with my brother. Emmett and Edward were going to get along really well. They had met quite a few times at business conferences and social events, but I guess they were really going to be good friends now, just like Rosalie and I were! They had many common interests. They were very extremely ambitious and really passionate about their work. And they both liked sports; I was sure they were going to have many Tennis sessions together now! They wanted to take their respective businesses to the new heights. I was sure they were going to get benefitted by each other's contacts. Overall, I could see just how fruitful over marriage was going to be!
I noticed that Jasper and Alice were chatting and laughing with each other in corner instead of socializing with others. I guess I would never be able to understand how could anyone be so ambitionless, and that too, when he's born in such a privileged family!
"Oh Bella, I just remembered something. I've an invite for New York fashion week. Would you like to accompany me?" Esme asked when were on the dinner table after some time, "I'd have like Edward to go with you, but he hates fashion shows, don't you, Edward?" she chuckled.
"Oh, I really hate them." Edward said.
"Oh, you said you didn't get the invite this time." Alice chimed in.
"I got it today." she told her and then turned her face towards to me, "So, would you like to come with me, Bella?"
Jasper put her arm around Alice's shoulder and squeezed it. It seemed she wanted to go. May be I should give her a chance to go? Or may be not! It might actually be helpful for me to attend this event with Esme. I could really make use of some new contacts! And if Alice wanted to go and Esme didn't agree to take her with her, well, Esme must have had some reasons behind that!
"I'd love to accompany you," I smiled.
