The birth of Apollyon Bael caused an uproar in the Underworld. While the Bael Clan was a leading clan with the famous Destruction ability, it was his father's identity that made his birth so special, as well as the impressive scene shown at birth. Much like Sirzechs had at birth, Apollyon's total demonic energy and his Power of Destruction was much too large and difficult to control causing chaos. His power of destruction, while not as extensive as the scene of Sirzechs, was just as impressive. His clan trait had seemingly mutated into a purer and more destructive form, creating bloody lightning. The scene had caused underlying political turmoil, as his birth signified that of a prospective new Satan. The reason the issue of politics was so deeply entwined, was the fact that Apollyon was not just any Bael clan member, but the youngest son of of its head, and the Head of the Great King Faction; Zekram Bael.

His birth was after that of what was previously assumed to be the next heirs of Bael, Sairorg and Magdaran. Of course, now that Apollyon had been born, and with such great power and potential, their place as heir was undoubtedly his. His power could easily rival that of Mid-Class Devils from birth, and that was before his growth or peak periods.

Rias Gremory's birth 3 months later helped divert attention from him, however while talented, rias proved pretty average for a noble devil, disappointing the underworld's expectations. As a result, the attention placed on Apollyon returned with greater enthusiasm as Rias and later Sona also, made him look even better in comparison.

The birth of a new sibling had also excited Venelana once she had recovered from delivering Rias, and now had the effort to divert her attention. The Bael clan woman soon brought Rias along with her back to the Bael territory to not only greet her father and show him his granddaughter, but also to meet her new sibling.

While Rias showed incredible closeness with her mother, she was very vocal on her protests against Zekram Bael holding her. The young Sairorg was likewise rejected, whereas when Sara Balam had brought in her son, Apollyon, Rias had been extremely clingy.

Sara Balam was one of the last of the Balam clan's members, with less than a handful remaining in the underworld. She was also a rarity for her clan, as while possessing unusually high affinity with her clan trait of super strength, she did not suffer the rocky skin and slight deformities in appearance. Instead, she was an extremely slim and beautiful woman.

Her position had originally been just an ordinary member of Zekram's harem, neither his wife nor particularly favoured, however the birth of such a powerful son like Apollyon had made her position rise dramatically.

While old and more focused on politics than raising another child, apollyons prodigious talent was an exception to the old devil. His pride and political savvy was much to great to pass up such a powerful son. While of course he did love his son and family, his passion had dulled slightly over his many years as a devil, and favouritism was most definitely something prevalent among the higher nobility and especially him.

He had immediately named Apollyon heir, without consulting his son, the current Bael Clan head, if only in name. The protests and jealousy of his son was ignored but noted, with Zekram unwilling to allow his barely useful son to interfere with his youngest son over such matters. Once both of his sons were grown, then they could deal with each other, but should Apollyon be killed in the cradle, both literally and figuratively, he would not allow it, and would retaliate in full force, family or not.

What had excited Zekram the most about Apollyon was his occasional transition into pure lightning styled destruction energy. Furthermore, along the same lines of an energy body, Apollyon was immune to all physical damage. Zekram had not had magical attacks tested, considering Apollyon was still a baby, but the idea of immunity to damage and harm was extremely potent, and in this case seemed even more impressive than the Phenex clans regeneration ability.

Ten years quickly passed, covering a great deal for the young devils of the Underworld's new generation.

Apollyon had grown up very close to his two nephews Sairorg and Magdaran, but especially so with both Rias and his attendant Kuisha Abaddon. The Abaddon clan was an affiliated clan of the Great King Faction, and by extension, the Bael clan. The distinction between the two factions of devils did not affect Rias and Apollyon, despite their families being on opposing sides. Venelana spoiled Apollyon greatly, treating him just as well as Rias, and often inviting him to stay in the Gremory Estate. His mother had likewise taken a liking to the cheerful red head, and his loyal and considerate attendant Kuisha. Both girls were beautiful and very attached to Apollyon, who at ten had surpassed everyone's expectations for him.

His power had remained unruly for a good too many years, and so Venelana used training him in his powers of destruction as an excuse to spend more time with him, and to abduct him to the Gremory territory occasionally. His Balam clan traits had also shown exceptional progress and comparability, with his physical aspects of strength, speed and durability being immensely greater than any devil his age, but more importantly, with both his clan traits, and his body, the speed of which he improved both naturally and through training was phenomenal. Perhaps as a side effect, his growth had been prematurely stimulated, with Apollyon looking slightly older than his actual age, and being taller and more muscular than his peers.

Even at the young age of ten his appearance was beyond the norm. Devils, and the Bael clan especially were very attractive, but Apollyon seemed to be in a whole other tier. His charm affected nearly every woman who met him, and coupled with his power and status, he was truly irresistible. Thankfully for him both Rias and Kuisha were always keeping an eye out so he had yet to be harmed by a crazy admirer.

His relationship with Sairorg, unlike the rest of his family was still pretty strong. Sairorg' she strength outside of his clan trait was starting to show, with his age advantage allowing greater physical advantages, but not to the extent of beating Apollyon any time soon.

Sairorg had also joined in his training sessions with his mother at times, but soon stopped as it was more focused on the Balam clan trait, and his mother had been quite annoyed at the interruption of her private time with her son. His mother was to an extent a son-con. While remaining pure in her motherly duties, she doted on him heavily and tried to spend as much time with him as possible. As such, she was especially argumentative with Venelana and even Rias and Kuisha at times. The four occasionally argued over him, with varying degrees of jealousy at different displays of affection and intimacy. However, both Venelana and Sara got along usually, especially when discussing how cute their children were, with Apollyon being the main subject. The four often found excuses to bathe with him, to the extent that even at the age of 10, he had yet to have a bath alone.

His father, while distant, did show up often enough to form a relationship with him. He also made sure that Apollyon was properly instructed on the knowledge for noble devils, especially his heir. Politics, etiquette, general studies, history and tradition were all crammed into his head nonstop. His father often called him to his office to question his progress, and to play chess with him. Zekram believed the game a good way to secrecies and stimulate the brain while also testing and improving one's tactical ability, whether for leading troops, or in politics and daily life.

While especially prodigious in physical skills and training as well as unrivalled in talent for demonic energy and power of destruction, Apollyon's talents elsewhere, while still plenty were severely lacking in comparison to his primary talents and focus. While slightly disappointed, Zekram did not care too much, for the sole reason that from the beginning of time until now, might makes right, and power was also the priority. With enough strength, nothing else mattered, and so while every other noble focused more on honing their high class bearings, Zekram instead focused on milking Apollyon's talents for all they were worth. Training was usually unorthodox for high class devils, with the majority being too lazy and proud, however, as an old and experienced devil, Zekram knew its importance, and also said the exaggerated effect it had on his son, and ignored the current status quo of noble devils not training. Thanks to this, his other lessons were reduced, much to Apollyon's happiness. He found the other lessons especially tedious.

By this point, his power, in both categories of demonic power and physical power had reached the middle ranks of the Ultimate Class, completing outclassing the devils of his generation and even the generation above his. Riser, who had been in the limelight recently, his debut and few victories showcasing his talent and Phenex abilities, was insignificant in front of him.

His crimson destruction lightning had developed to an extreme level, as had his control over his elementalised form. His speed has surpassed his strength, even with his clan trait and extensive physical training, due to be able to travel at lightning speed. His lightning form of destruction power and his ability to elementalise had also improved his control and malleability of the power to improve beyond compare, especially when the lazy and untrained Rias could only use hers in mere clumps of energy, tossing them haphazardly. His physical talent had led him to learn many martial arts and close combat skills from his mother and the other members of the Bael clan and Great King Faction. Every six months since he was 7, he also had a spar against his father, who tested his progress and then trained him and pointed his flaws out. His father quite enjoyed the time, as not only would he be pleased by his son's prodigious progress, but it allowed him to stretch his old and weary bones.

As a member of devil nobility, and due to his close relationship with Rias, Apollyon also gained a close friendship with Sona Sitri and Seekvaira Agares. Rias and Apollyon's love of anime matched Seekvaira's, although his dislike of Mecha directly clashed with Seekvaira's own views, causing a recurrent argument between the two, although the two had grown to treat it as a habit more than an actual debate, with both recognising the stubbornness of the opposing party. While quieter than the other two girls, Sona was also quite cheerful and energetic, with her occasional displays as a magical girl under her elder sisters influence. The sight was always amusing for the four friends. Kuisha Abaddon also got along well with the three girls, as even though she was a member of the Extra Demon Clans, she was still a member of devil nobility, and of high rank within the clan. She was an orphan despite her high status within the Abaddon clan, which was why she had been sent to serve Apollyon from such a young age. She had practically been adopted by Apollyon and his mother in all by name by this point, and she had grown up with him, Rias and the other two, leading them to all have a close relationship. Despite also having a favourable impression of Apollyon, both Sona and Seekvaira had yet to grow a crush on the golden boy of the underworld, so watching Kuisha and Rias fight over him was always highly entertaining to the two.

Later, when Rias had received Akeno, and Sona Tsubaki, they too joined the friendship group, although not to the same extent. Due to their status, and their initial inferiority complexes, the two were not as closely integrated, remaining close only with their respected saviours.

Apollyon's appearance was very much in line with the Bael claim traits of dark hair and purple eyes, but he was unique in his appearance past his otherworldly attractiveness. His eyes while purple, blended into a red hue around his pupils, and his pitch black hair had some crimson streaks and tints to it, with his hair and eyes occasionally emitting sparks of crimson lightning. He had his hair in a high ponytail with a few loose strands framing either side of his face, the crimson streaks more obvious in his longer hair. His perfect features and long hair would have made him look feminine, if it wasn't for his tall and strong body for his age, even at a young age the traces of hard work he had put into his body being evident. While his features were masculine enough, his sheer beauty made him look more androgynously ambiguous. His skin was especially key in his androgyny, being smoother and creamier in complexion than even Rias. While his body was taught with developing muscle, it did not prevent it from being just as silky as his flowing black hair. The contrast between his hair and skin likewise painted a beautiful image, one that diminished his masculinity somewhat, yet remained extremely attractive. His skin still had a healthy glow to it, not being pallid or near transparent. His lack of masculine features was more a result of his still immature body and face. Once he had grown and developed more muscle, and his features had sharpened, his charm would change, and perhaps somehow even grow. The crimson traits he had gained in his eyes and hair were attributed to his immense demonic energy and incredible affinity for the Power of Destruction, which was too much for his body to contain and so bled through into his physical body, leading into the theories garnered over his ability to elementalise.

As such, the star of the underworld was now the sole attention of the crowd watching the Evil Piece Ceremony.

His incredible appearance and noticeable features stood out greatly among the few devil heirs and noble children present, with those in his generation were all receiving their Evil Pieces now they were old enough.

Among them were Apollyon, Rias, Seekvaira, Sona and a few other noble devils. The likes of Diodora, Zephrydor and Sairorg were slightly older and had already received their Evil Pieces.

As the son of Zekram Bael, and his renown, Apollyon was invited to the stage to receive his pieces first. Wearing noble attire befitting his status, and with the Bael clan crest sewn into his clothes, he looked extremely aristocratic, and much more mature.

Apollyon smirked at Rias before making his way up to the stage, where the Four Maou and his father stood. They were the pillars of the Devil Faction in power and politics, and considering the status of the ceremony's participants, were all in attendance.

Apollyon stood in front of the large stele, a symbol of the King piece and what would bind him to his Evil Pieces. His father had informed him of the King Pieces, illegal pieces used to promote Devil power between 10-100 times. He had said that one was reserved for him for when he was older, as his body would not be able to handle its power at the moment.

One thought on his mind was however, why did his father or the Satans not use it? Or even those close to the Satans?

"Step forward and place your palm on the King Piece."

Apollyon followed the Maou Beelzebub's instructions and placed his right hand on the smooth cold stone, soon his demonic energy flowed outward automatically, lighting up the grooves around the stele in pulsing crimson light, before it stopped as suddenly as it began.

"Step back."

Ajuka took out an ornate wooden box and handed it to him, "Push your demonic energy into this."

Still following his instructions, Apollyon did as he was told and soon enough the box briefly glowed crimson and soon enough, Apollyon felt a slight connection between 15 objects within the box.

His father strode forward, "Congratulations my son. Open your box, let us see your Evil Pieces."

Apollyon opened his box revealing the crimson Evil Pieces within, with 7 of them looking slightly different from the other generic eight. His Queen, three pawns and one of his Bishops, Rooks, and his Knights each were mutated.

His father grinned, while Ajuka raised a brow, the two ignoring the surprise and muttering of the crowd and nearby audience.

"Seven mutations? How rare. Worth studying."

Zekram gave Ajuka a brief glance, his meaning obvious before patting his son's head.

"You are indeed my son! Now go back into line so we can continue."

Rias, Sona and the others soon followed, each receiving their pieces and receiving one or two mutations if any. They had initially pouted at having so few, but seeing others not receive any, and the quiet explanations and reminders that mutations were extremely rare and precious, calmed them down. Instead, their admiration for Apollyon only grew, especially Rias who turned from pouting to a smug grin, proudly acting as if Apollyon's achievements were her own.

Soon the Evil Piece Ceremony was over, and it transitioned into a young devils gathering. However, just as everyone was changing venue, Apollyon collapsed holding his head, groaning loudly in pain. A foreign soul and memories were bombarding him, making his brain feel like it was splitting in half. Gritting his teeth, Apollyon fought back, claiming sovereignty over his body and soul. His pride and self preservation refused to give in allow him to be replaced by someone or something else. In desperation, he elementalised and sent his destructive ability through his head, hoping it would harm his foreign invader. Luckily, it seemed to have an effect as the foreign soul weakened its offence, and Apollyon gained an advantage. Soon enough, the soul was overwhelmed and Apollyon managed to relax, his pain now being soothed as the defeated soul was left in remnants that was slowly being absorbed by Apollyon's own soul for repair and improvement of his mental and soul faculties.

As he did so, he slowly let go of his body and gradually got back up, ignoring everyone around him as he felt a rush of memories and knowledge that wasn't his in his mind. Brief memories of a different life, with the faces, names and exact details rather vague. The only recognisable fact was that the memories were from a male and a a teenager. What had his attention the most was the anime, manga and light novels in the memories, in particular three. The most notable was Highschool DxD, which seemed to be about the future of his own world, or at least a version where de doesn't exist. The thought of Rias and some pervert asshole and a useless pervert both having claim over her infuriated him to an astonishing degree, surprising him. The other anime and manga that caught his attention was called One Piece, where a villain had the same abilities as him, in regards to his immense lightning capabilities and elementalisation. The use of abilities within it were rather rewarding and something he noted down. The third anime and manga was merely a better version of Drag-so ball, called Dragon Ball. The matter of Highschool DxD was the most important and worrying however, as even if he only currently had a brief and vague understanding, he knew it was not a good future awaiting him. The idea of another world viewing his life as an anime had not yet crossed his mind, but regardless the odd situation and the worse memories had panicked him.

He was brought out of his thoughts and worries by Rias and his father, both of whom had panicked seeing him collapse and the subsequent changes in expression.

"Pollo-Chan, are you okay?"

"My name is Apollyon. But, yes I am Rias, it was just a really bad headache. Thank you."

Rias was clinging to him, and separated only after his confirmation, while his father let out a sigh of relief before nodding sternly, "Straighten up. Prepare yourself. This gathering is unofficial, but it is your first chance to prove yourself as superior and to also gain friends, allies and peerage members."

Apollyon nodded to his father just as seriously, his momentary sense of alienation to his current family and friends passing quickly due to his memories and feelings of Apollyon surging back to cover the oddity from the foreign memories influence. Rias' and his father's care helped him recover his stability and identity crisis. The instance had also made him mature by the way, as well as giving him a better overview of the world around him, even if sugar coated and biased. The memories of future events and people was also useful, and he was glad he had remained friends with Sairorg considering that he had been the Number One Devil of the younger generation in the future.

Apollyon glanced at Rias beside him, wondering just how different the future would be now he was here. The memory of devil heirs being betrothed also made him wonder if he would be subjected to an arranged marriage, and if so, with who?

Shrugging, he followed his father and allowed himself to be teleported to the Young Devil Gathering while pondering his future peerage. Unlike Rias and Sona, who were planning to make Akeno and Tsubaki their respective Queen's he was unsure of making Kuisha his. It was not that he disliked or looked down on her, but with his power, potential and knowledge of the future, he now believed he could get someone more powerful for his Queen, someone like Tiamat. His Queen was mutated, and it just felt like a waste at the moment. This worried him, as he didn't want to upset her by saying no to being his Queen, but he also didn't want to waste his options due to it.

Seeing they had arrived, Apollyon pushed the matter aside, and strode forward alongside Rias as they looked around the hall. The hall was filled with devil nobles from the ages of 10 like them all the way to 16.

Looking around, he saw Sairorg being ignored in the corner, with the occasional glare of disdain or disgust thrown at him, while Riser Phenex had a pretty large crowd around him.

Rias tugged his arm, having found their friends, and pulled him over to them. He allowed himself to be led over, also preferring to meet Sona, Seekvaira and Kuisha.

"I'm so excited to finally have my Evil Pieces. I can't wait to start building my peerage, what about you guys?"

Sona and Seekvaira grinned too, both excited, although their enthusiasm paled considerably compared to Rias'. Kuisha also smirked, although hers was rather smug, as she considered it her honour and advantage to be a part of Apollyon's peerage rather than building her own.

"Yes, you build you peerage and leave Apollyon and I alone. I'm all he needs, that's why I'm going to be in his peerage and you aren't."

Rias reddened slightly, angry and jealous, "Hmph! No, Apollyon loves me most!"

"No, he loves me!"

Wincing slightly, Apollyon slipped away, to Sona and Seekvaira's growing amusement. He then wandered around the room, greeting the many other nobles, although only briefly as most were intimidated or too obnoxious, the rare bearable few were already busy and so he was left with the scum and trash. Bored already, he searched for Sairorg, hoping to cheer his older nephew up and speak to someone he actually likes.

As he neared Sairorg, he found him being insulted by Riser.

"Why are you here, you waste? Your presence dirties the air that Riser breathes."

"Riser! You better shut up! Sairorg is not trash, and even if he is, it has nothing to do with you. At least he knows how a walk like a normal person and not someone that has forgotten they are not a child. Are you worried we will forget your name? Is that why you have to keep reminding us and yourself what it is, or do you forget who you are sometimes?"

Fire burst along Risers hands and cuffs as he tried to control his temper. He was infuriated, but knew better than to insult and challenge Apollyon, the 'Great Prince'.

"Sairorg, follow me."

Sairorg followed behind while Apollyon sighed and walked off, calling over his shoulder to Riser as he did so, "I will show you your place in the competition later Riser, so don't be too excited."

"Sairorg, don't listen to them, once you train some more, you will show them that not only are you not a waste, but that we Baels are more than just the power of destruction. Won't it feel better beating them with your fists, and feeling your fist hit them, than throwing some power of destruction around?"

Sairorg nodded sullenly, but still somewhat depressed about his being bullied by the other nobles. He was discarded everywhere, whether at home or in public, with only a rare few who still were friends with him. It made him value his relations much more, but also made him extremely lonely and saddened. He was still young, and was working to overcome it, but the hurt still remained.

As Apollyon was trying to cheer his nephew up, they heard Zekram's voice calling out to silence everyone.

"Quiet! Good. Now, we are here for our annual Youth Gathering, where you all can meet each other to recognise the future of our race, and to also introduce the newer members to our ranks, and check on the progress of the rest of you. Riser Phenex currently holds the championship for the Devil Youths, and today we will be holding another solo competition to gauge your abilities. Today is compulsory for all present, while in six months is an informal competition for you and your peerages to compete and practice with. That will be optional, and will require a certain number of peerage members to apply. Today's competition is not public, but the group competition will be. In three years, we will hold an official and public set of competitions for the underworld to see and to showcase you all, so consider this practice for that. Remember, do your best, we do not want to see any pathetic or embarrassing behaviour."

The crowd shuffled uncomfortably, nervous and unwilling, bar a small few like Riser or Apollyon who were confident in themselves. Apollyon glanced at riser, only to see the Phenex scumbag glaring back at him, and then smirking smugly, as if imagining humiliating Apollyon publicly, and in front of Apollyon's father.

The matches passed by rather quickly, with most devils not, putting up much of a fight, and with limited capabilities. A good few managed to impress the crowd, with Riser being one, and Apollyon, Sona, Rias, Seekvaira and Kuisha also proving capable. Some had gained nicknames, especially Apollyon and Rias. Apollyon had gained a few, with one already having been rather prevalent, but more so now; The Great Prince, in reference to his status and ability as the prodigious son of 'The Great King'. His other more recent epithet, and based off his brutal and efficient fights was 'Blood(y) Lightning' and 'Crimson Thunderer'. His crimson lightning was used rather easily to maim his opponents into surrender, of course, he held back and aimed at non vital parts, but still every time his lightning thundered, blood splashed. The blood and lightning painted a rather gory but beautiful scene at times. To the devils, he was awe inspiring, and it inflated his reputation and fans incredibly.

Rias meanwhile, had also used her powers and natural talent to win several matches and gain her titles of Crimson-Haired Ruin Princess and Princess of Destruction. She quite enjoyed that they had wcasing their abilities, and especially so since they were similar, and therefore matched in her opinion. The matching of Prince and Princess was the thing she picked up on most, claiming of course they were the Prince and Princess pair of Destruction.

Surprisingly to most, Sairorg was also a strong competitor, showing decent strength and capabilities, however he had struggled against a few of the higher ranked heirs due to their better mastery of various clan traits, or greater demonic energy. His lack of long distance attacks held him back somewhat. Unfortunately, Sairorg was defeated around the middle of the tournament, which while pretty good considering his age and lack of clan trait, was not good enough for a high ranked member of the Bael clan. Zekram most definitely had not been pleased. His brother, Magdaran had fared no better which had infuriated both the father and grandfather. Luckily for zekram, but to Lord Bael's chagrin, Apollyon was good enough for all three of them.

Apollyon easily made his way all the way to the final, matched against Riser, much to both of their satisfaction.

When the match began, Apollyon simply elementalised and rushed forward, moving too quickly for Riser to react to or even notice. His crimson lightning fist slammed into Riser's face, sending him flying back and slamming into the wall, cracking it in the process.

The fight continued with Riser tanking every hit thanks to healing soon after, while Apollyon simply ignored anything Riser somehow managed to get through whilst struggling to defend himself. Soon enough, Riser accumulated enough pain and minor injuries, as well as being low on demonic energy that he was forced to surrender. Apollyon's improved power of destruction worked more effectively in damaging and destroying, affecting the recovery ability of Riser's Phenex constitution.

Seeing Riser's surrender, Apollyon smirked, "Don't call others trash, when you can't even beat a ten year old child. My Bael clan is not low enough for someone like you to be interfering in and insulting. If it happens again, next time you won't even be able to surrender."

His father was smiling slightly, his pride evident yet attempting to maintain a serious impression.

"Apollyon Bael is the victor of the match, and the Champion of this year's Youth Competiton."

The crowd cheered, with few disgruntled at the child's victory. Apollyon was a poster boy of the devils and was celebrated as such. Even the other clan heirs accepted and acknowledged him, although barely. His victory over Riser, six years his senior only cemented this.

Rias, Kuisha, his mother and Venelana were all screaming and cheering the loudest, all especially proud. Rias and Kuisha were blushing madly, looking almost obsessed, while even Sona and Seekvaira were moved.
