"It'll be our secret."

January, 2015.

The two childhood friends spent time together as usual, doing nothing, on the bed with their backs on each other. The brunette were lying on his stomach with the ravenette resting her head against his back. She scolded him every time he would unconsciously kick his feet in the air. "I'm reading," she reminded him. He rolled his eyes at her. She always read books around him. Why did she even bother to come over? He silently criticized her as he fiddled with his phone. He suddenly got a message.

"Have you ever kissed anybody?"

"What? You baka."

"It's Aoi. He's currently on a date."

He handed her his phone. She went red in the face as soon as she saw the pictures that were shared by his friend in their group chat. He secretly took pictures of himself kissing his girlfriend from behind her back. His friends quickly flooded the chatroom with some quirky replies. "Well, do you want to try it with me?" he asked her. She got up from the bed and she immediately threw his phone at him. He winced in pain as soon as it hit him on his forehead. He cursed under his breath over his pains.

She got off the bed as he repeatedly rubbed his forehead. She ignored him as she rushed towards the door but he grabbed her before she could twist the doorknob. Her face grew redder when she felt his arms around her. "You baka, you creep, you pervert," she mocked him before she pinched his arms. It simply made him tighten his grip around her waist.

"You better let go."

"Doesn't it ever make you wonder, Mio?"

"You just want to boast about it to them."

"It'll be our secret."

She almost lost her footing when he suddenly twisted her body so that they could face each other. She quickly casted her eyes downwards. His eyes worked wonders on her. They would captivate her every time she looked at them. "I promise," he promised her. She bit her lower lip. His sudden curiosity did make her curious about kissing but she could not bear the thought of him treating her in the same way his friend treated his girlfriend. She did not reply to him. He loosened his grip on her.

"You'll kiss just anyone?"

"I don't know about that."

Her question took him by surprise, however, he answered her as honest as he could. What's more. Her sudden action surprised him more. She somehow grabbed his arms just before he could let go of her. She tugged at them as she stared at him. Her stare made him shy for unknown reasons. He was hit by a sudden realization when he noticed his heart beat insanely fast. "All I know is, right now, you're the only one," he told her.

"...okay, Ritsu."

"What?"

"Make it quick."

She honestly did not know what came over her by the time she finished processing his words. He made her feel something she never felt before. It felt right and she wanted more. He made her want to explore deeper into the unknowns. "You can always push me away," he reminded her. He kept his eyes on hers as he moved his arms. He took her hands in his and he then intertwined their fingers. She did not push him away, instead, she pulled him closer towards her. He simply took the invitation.

They unconsciously shut their eyes as soon as their lips met for the first time in forever. The contact gave them shivers. It took them a few seconds to fully process the newfound sensation. She opened her eyes first. She studied him. She never noticed his long eyelashes. It made her jealous. She helplessly smiled into the kiss when he awkwardly tilted his head to deepen their first kiss. She did not mind the sloppy kiss.

They were reluctant to break the kiss, however, they could no longer hold their breaths. They both gasped for air as they stared at each other with their faces flushed from their first kiss. He did not let go of her hands although he recovered first. She could barely catch her breath when he pulled her into his arms. "Again, Mio," he begged her. She looked up at him. She looked into his eyes. They were dilating and so did hers.
