Chapter 1 System Online

After ten years since the first Vytal summit, the Post War Grimm Crisis is still not over, even with the introduction of the Huntsman from the Huntsman Academies. Then King Arthur is en route to Vytal Island to see the progress of the project after 10 years. After some time, the bullhead that the king rode has arrived at Vytal. In the Airfield of the island, he was awaited by Watts and Pietro themselves.

Then Watts spoke, "How was the journey, your highness?"

The king replied, "It was fine, albeit quite bumpy with all the Air-type Grimm chasing us."

Pietro spoke on Watts's behalf, "If so, your highness, soon enough it won't be a problem any longer."

The king gets what he means and replied, "Is the project ready yet?"

Watts replied, "Yes, your majesty, all it awaits is your command and permission."

Arthur replied, "Good."

Then Watts spoke again, "Shall we proceed to the Tour of the facility, your highness?"

Arthur replied, "Yes, we shall proceed as planned."

Then both Pietro and Watts proceeded to guide the King to the facilities. After some time walking, they were in the Droid factory. Arthur saw many types of droids being manufactured in assembly lines that are pumping out finished droids in the thousands.

Arthur could not help but say, "Very impressive."

Watts replied happily to the compliment, "I hoped you would be pleased."

Then they proceeded to walk more in the factory.

Then Arthur spoke again, "Is it up to the specifications I asked?"

Watts replied, "It is up to your specification, your majesty. These droids could think efficiently and Utilitarian approach to things. You will find them immensely superior to Huntsmen and soldiers, while they could think creatively they are still vulnerable to human errors that cause lives. It does not fear or any kind of emotion, for it is a machine as you have asked and will face the Grimm head-on without fear. Hence, a very effective weapon against Grimm that could sense souls, emotions, and life, for it is soulless."

Arthur listened and nodded in approval and proceeded to walk more in until they are out in the factory. Then they entered to Testing Facility, as they walked Arthur saw Droids of all kinds and varieties being tested in combat against captured then released Grimm. He saw their combat efficiency and killed Grimm without hesitation as soon as it appeared in front of it. But despite that, he still feared it may cause collateral damage.

Then Watts spoke, "We take great pride in our Combat education and training programs. This accomplishment is our greatest, as we will look on our demonstration."

Pietro ordered the demonstration scientist and engineers to proceed with their test.

Arthur then saw something and spoke, "Why are they in the combat field test? They should move out, or they will be shot at or be eaten by the Grimm?"

Watts giggled and replied, "My lord, just watch."

Then the test started Grimm was released then suddenly the droids themselves move to extract the scientist and also shot at the same time with great accuracy even with the scientist on the way with the Grimm behind them. The droids shot them all without harming the scientists.

Watts said, "With all those in place, we can make sure to avoid collateral damage in the most minimum way possible."

Arthur is impressed but still asked, "How about buildings, how does it deal with them on the way?"

Pietro replied instead of Watts, "Thanks for mentioning we have inputted all kinds of data on what to shoot, what is dangerous to shoot, calculating how it will damage a building in the least way possible. If destroyed or damaged a building, it will repair it after it has been damaged to ensure public safety."

Arthur was delighted to hear that, but still asked a question, "Repair? So do you mean there will be construction droids?"

Watts replied, "Yes your majesty not only construction droids but also repair droids for on the site repair for damaged droids and lastly Rescue droids for transporting, evacuating, and healing humans or Faunus on-site at the front or in the back lines."

Arthur said, "Intriguing! Nevertheless, let's proceed to the other sites." Pietro and Watts agreed then they proceeded to walk more passing through the Experiment labs, Grimm Prison complex, and the software programming lab.

Then they entered the resource conversion centers and Dust to energy generators, then the King asked, "How about resources? How vulnerable will it be against supply and energy disruption?"

Watts looked at Pietro sweating then nodded, then he spoke, "Unfortunately It is still its weakness, it is vulnerable to supply disruption and could affect its performance. Nevertheless, we can't do anything as long as we are being supplied by the SDC for Dust and Armstrong Steel Inc. for raw materials."

Arthur asked, "SDC and Armstrong Steel Inc.? Huh? So the former royals are already transitioning from their loss of power, hmm. So Adrina is also getting well off huh, maybe I should visit her soon along with Hazel. What are your plans for in case of disruptions?"

Watts spoke, "We are thinking of making the droids self-sufficient by building and collecting its resources after its release by your command. Then the energy weakness could be mitigated temporarily through an energy-saving mode. They will be heavily defended, but despite all this they're still vulnerable to supply cuts and disruptions."

Arthur glances at them and thought for a moment, then spoke, "You still have a good Job despite its apparent weaknesses. But in a front-to-front battle against the Grimm, Who would come out the top without the disruption of supplies?"

The king glanced at them and saw a grin on their faces as they spoke in unison, "They will be annihilated to Dust your majesty in a direct battle" Arthur spoke, "Good. Good. Good."

Then they proceeded to walk more until they reach the ginormous tower. Arthur asked them, "What is that tower's Purpose?"

Pietro answered, "It is a prototype for a large transmit system based on the smaller radios used by Mantle soldiers to communicate with each other at long distances. But what makes this different is it will be a continent-wide range. The Cross-Continental Transmit System still won't be finished, maybe 30 years from now, it's still in its developing and prototype stages."

Arthur nodded and asked, "If so, how does it correlate with the droids?"

Watts replied, "It will be used to transmit orders from the server to the droids wirelessly. While the Cross Continental Transmit System will be used to essentially transmit data and orders around the world instantly, it is still a prototype. However, we used a smaller type of transmission system that will be built on a droid. They remain stationary or in the move, so they could connect to the servers where they will form a long line, so they could extend the range of the transmission. Unfortunately, like what you asked as last time, it is vulnerable to disruption and could render an entire droid battalion without control."

Arthur thought, then spoke again, "So what are your precautions?"

Pietro answered, "We are thinking like before that the droids will be creating Transmit systems after their release. If a droid is isolated, It will wander back to somewhere with a signal again or will carry out the mission with its built-in basic command modules. It could move on its own without the need of the central core, impressive, but it could not coordinate effectively with the rest of the battalion. It would not act according to the rest like one organism, but will be on its own and vulnerable to being picked off one by enemies."

Arthur said sadly, "Well we can't remove all of its disadvantages, we make the Grimm work for it, right?"

Watts said, "Yes, your majesty, they will be heavily protected."

Then they proceeded to go underground and in a sealed facility only authorized personnel were allowed to enter. Then Arthur saw a large computer processor with lots of processors and modules pulsing with heat. He also felt the freezing temperatures in this Area as it cooled down the hot servers and processors, then he spoke,

"Is this it? Is this Servitor himself?"

Watts said, "Yes your Highness this is him,"

Arthur said, "If so why it is not activated yet?"

Pietro replied, "It needs your blood and registration, your majesty."

Arthur was appalled, "Blood!? For what purpose?"

Watts replied, "It needs an owner who could use it, and the only one we could think of to offer this responsibility without fear that it will be used selfishly is you and your family. The Arc Bloodline has a very long history of heroes and not one yet turned to crime and selfishness. So we conclude that you are the best candidate, your majesty."

Arthur glanced at them for a moment and thought then spoke, "Then if so what should I do?"

Pietro answered, "Place your hand on this scanner."

Arthur listened and then proceeded to look for the said scanner. He saw it and proceeded to place his hand then Watts spoke;

"Excuse us your majesty, but this will hurt quite a bit"

then Arthur wondered what they mean then suddenly he felt a stinging pain and pulled out his hands fast. Then Arthur saw the Core activating noise being heard as it's turning online, heat and energy could be felt as it is activating.

"[Energy connected…]"

"[Transmit system online….]"

"[Establishing connection to outlying droids…..]"

It birthed unto existence. Upon seeing its surrounding, it calculated and analyzed the surrounding data. It saw three figures which are calculated to be humans. Two of which are his creators and the figure in the middle which he recognized as his owner based on the blood data inputted earlier. Its camera's focused on the said person its core processors heat up; it knows its purpose at the moment, it knows its objective for being made into existence without question without emotion without a doubt.

A soulless and monotone voice spoke,

"[I am Servitor at your service. Arthur Arc, how could I be of service?]"

Then the king glances for 4.0 seconds approximately, then speaks,

"What is your objective?"

It processed the question instantly and answered,

"[I am Project Servitor made to protect humanity from the Grimm, to eradicate the Grimm with extreme prejudice, and to assist humanity in its endeavors.]"

Arthur asked again, "What are your basic commands and programs?"

The machine replied without fail instantly,

"[Base program 1. Don't kill people,

Base program number 2. Help Humanity and its problems,

Base Program 3. Eliminate Grimm with maximum prejudice

Base program 4. Create new Technology

Base Program 5. Redacted

Input: additional command on the self through the advice of people on the summit, hence and adding the additional commands through three requirements:

*agreement of the Vytal Summit Council

*permission of an arc

*vote of the people

Hence, after three requirements are acquired, hence add additional commands to existing base programs.

Arthur glanced at the core again, glancing back at Watts and Pietro who both speak up their minds,

"Is it up to your specifications your majesty?"

Arthur glanced back at the core and spoke, "Yes, it is up to my specifications"

Then they proceeded to go out of the core chamber and will walk toward the staging area. As Arthur walked upon the balcony of the staging area, what he saw amazed him. Droids of all kinds marching towards their destined transports, large unmanned sea ships carrying said transports, and then numerous drones launching off from their launch bays swarming the skies.

Then Watts spoke, "Magnificent aren't they?"

Arthur just glanced in agreement with him. Tomorrow will be the day it will be revealed.
