5. Chapter 3: Faunus War

Chapter 3: The Faunus War

{3 months later}

After three months of the voyage, the first division Claw arrived southern east of Sanus. As the People's Liberation Army arrived on the coast southeast of Sanus they made a beachhead or forward base on the coast. As they set up camp in Sanus, constructing temporary shelters, digging trenches, laying down traps, and putting the additional defense on the forward base the ships proceed to unload their cargo from dust for fuel, artillery, vehicles, and food. The forward base is busy as they build airstrips for their aircraft, building makeshift ports for their airships, parking areas for their vehicles, and a storage warehouse for food, ammunition, and weapons. As they are preparing to move out to attack Vale itself a scout was scouting ahead of the large Emerald forest that covered most of eastern Sanus. Then suddenly the ground started to shake, birds flying out in mass, footsteps from all directions could be heard from the forest. As the scout proceeds to use his telescope and suddenly saw a large Grimm horde coming in the direction of the Forward base. He is in panic as he proceeds to ride his motorcycle at full speed back to the forward base to warn them. As he saw the assembled army immediately marching towards Vale as he feel he is too late to warn them as they are exposed as they marched towards Vale unknowing that there is a massive Grimm horde ahead. Then as he passed through the legions of Faunus troops as he proceeds to get out of his motorcycle and then sprinted towards Genghis Khan's position in the formation.

As he saw Genghis Khan on the horizon he suddenly kneels and proceeds to deliver the warning,

"Chieftain, I am the scout you asked ahead to scout the surrounding forest! I have come to warn you that there is a large Grimm horde ahead as we march upon Vale itself! How should we proceed Chieftain?"

As Genghis Khan heard the news and thought for a second then finally replied, "Tell our troops to be ready for the upcoming battle ahead."

Then the scout replied, "It shall be done, Chieftain."

After some hours as the troops of the First Division of the People's Liberation Army, the Claw prepared themselves for the upcoming Grimm hordes. Caught unprepared as they don't have enough time to establish defenses or trenches for cover here lays Genghis Khan in the thought of the last few years despite the battle ahead.

Genghis Khan in thought,

"I am Genghis Khan, and I was born into this world just like you a world with unceasing conflict and endless terrors…"

as he referenced the various conflicts in the last decade and the Grimm.

"and with the nation of Faunus at its heart a bastion of liberty and courage…."

as referenced to the revolution in Menagerie.

"Menagerie…"

As he proceeds to move in his trance but still in thought to give a speech to his troops.

"Gifted to us by the King of Vale…."

as he referenced the first Vytal summit many years ago.

"Torn apart by the greedy…."

as he referenced the exploitation of Menagerie.

"Weakened and exposed…."

as he referenced the horrible situation of the people of Menagerie at the hands of their occupiers.

"Forever on the defense….."

as he referenced the countless years the Faunus has been at the short end of the stick cause of Humanity.

"But no longer…"

As he has arrived at the front of the formation of the assembled troops ready for battle then he spoke loudly as he faced the assembled troops,

"Now we the Faunus unite! To purge the evil that dares to confront us!"

As he raised his war hammer Siege Breaker.

"Follow me and we will punish this darkness!"

As he faced the battlefield as he feel the rumbles in the ground.

"I swear this as your Chieftain."

Then after a moment of silence as they all awaited the Grimm they saw them on mass as they are seen leaving the Emerald forest. What they saw was Grimm of all kinds from Beowolfs, Ursas, King Taijitu's, Goliath's, and many more. As the Grimm horde charged in mass Genghis Khan ordered,

"Ready Arms!"

As the Chieftain ordered the troops raised their rifles in preparation for a barrage. As the Grimm continued to get progressively closer and closer to their positions PLA tanks and artillery bombard the Grimm in mass to cut their numbers. But even with the bombardment the Grimm still push through and charged in mass Genghis Khan saw this and ordered again,

"Hold!"

He ordered his troops to not yet fire until it is right for the barrage. As the Grimm is in firing range Genghis Khan ordered again,

"Fire!"

Then suddenly the troops fired in mass upon the approaching Grimm as they killed many on mass. However, despite this, the Grimm still reached upon the Faunus troops and proceeds to rip them apart in return. As a human-like giant Grimm apply called the Behemoth pushed through and destroyed the perimeter. Then another much older and larger behemoth grabbed a tank then slammed it into the ground as it exploded. As the Grimm horde start to overwhelm the troops as they amassed in numbers then suddenly Cavalry arrived as PLA aircrafts arrived. Then they started to unload their bombs on the Grimm horde as they killed tons after dropping their load they proceed to gun the Grimm down in the hundreds. As the Large behemoth before is still rampaging as it killed dozens of soldiers swing after swings of its weapon then a dust specialist Faunus noticed this and activated his earth and fire dust in his staff then he shot it out in the sky. Then suddenly a big flaming boulder was formed as it crashed down on the unsuspecting Behemoth and killed it. As the cloud of dust was fading suddenly a large dragon-like Grimm appeared called Teryx as it flew overhead then dived down as it chomped down the dust specialist Faunus. As it roared down on the outlying troops as the troops fell back in fear but suddenly Genghis Khan with Siege Breaker held high riding his brother Ghira who transformed into a tiger.

Then Genghis Khan shouted, "For Menagerie!"

Then suddenly all retreating soldiers rallied behind their Chieftain as they started to advance again as Ghira with Genghis on top pounced on the Teryx and killed it. After the onslaught of Grimm as they killed the last remaining Grimm on the Horde that was on full retreat as they run all back to the forest is where they came from. The PLA first division Claw proceeded to continue their march towards Vale.

{1 month later}

It was a quiet day in the emerald forest as the sun's rays shines the greenery as far as the eye could see. Here lies Fort Castle a monstrous fortress that has large thick walls, an advantageous position to shoot from if invaders came, and a defensive array of multiple anti-aircraft and armor guns. But with the new arrival of the droids of Project Servitor made the seemingly unconquerable fortress even stronger. As Servitor construction droids and drones are refurbishing the fortress as they replace stonewalls with metal alloys. The refurbishment of the fortress would leave it vulnerable and exposed until today for today will be its completion. At Fort castle here lies the Winchester house of Crusaders as they have guarded the fortress and surrounding land of the Emerald forest from Grimm, Invaders, and bandits for generations. Here lies the Head of the Winchesters Mace Winchester a paladin who has served the King of Vale for many years since his coronation from the throne and was at his side when The Great War broke out. As he and his family with his entourage of crusaders have held off the line many times in Fort Castle as Mistral Armies have tried to maneuver into southern Vale as Fort Castle is what all stand at the exposed side of southern Vale. As the sentries of Servitor the approaching armies of Menagerie despite the surprise of the Winchesters to the surprised invasion of Menagerie on Valean soil. As Winchester prepares for the upcoming siege with Servitor. In the bar beneath Fort Castle was Reinhardt Winchester in full armor talking to Mace Winchester in full armor also as Reinhardt saw the letter to the invitation to the 16th Vytal summit.

Reinhardt Winchester spoke, "So that's it you're leaving for the Vytal Summit?"

Mace Winchester replied, "I have been called, I must answer the call of the king it's been a great honor but we must take care of this mess first."

Reinhardt Winchester responded, "Uuahhh, disappearing into Vytal for just some long bureaucratic bull when were out here being be-sieged by our enemies and give up the glory of being a crusader? He he he he I don't think so."

As Reinhardt drank his jug full of beer then spoke again,

"We the Winchester's have a long-line as defenders of Vale people will be singing songs of our legacies if we successfully defend this as our ancestors did for many generations."

Then Mace Winchester interjected, "Our legacies are our deeds as this war is bigger than just glory and honor."

Then suddenly a drone arrived in a hurry and proceeds to speak,

"[Winchester this is Servitor, enemy invasion force spotted to the east they are approaching our destination as we speak.]"

Servitor reported with a soulless monotone voice.

Then Mace spoke, "Alright Crusader they're playing our song stick with your rust bucket companions let's crush the beastie's outside!"

As Reinhardt proceeds to grab Mace's weapon the large mace Morning Star proceeds to give it to him.

Reinhardt spoke, "Here's you walking mace old man."

Mace laughed then replied, "Live with honor."

Reinhardt responded, "Die with glory!"

As they proceed to shake hands despite their heavy armor then after some time Servitor with the Winchesters defends Fort Castle as the PLA has besieged them. The Formidable defenses of Fort Castle despite the overwhelming barrage from artillery, tanks, and aircraft unloading their missiles but Mace noticed something of their rust bucket companions then asked,

"Servitor why aren't you killing our enemies but only disabling them destroy them you rust bucket! We are being overwhelmed here!"

Then the Servitor drone beside him replied in a soulless tone,

"[Sorry for the inconvenience Mace of house Winchester, but I am not allowed to kill them as it is in my base programming to not kill humans nor Faunus.]"

Mace replied in anger, "Why not!? You useless rust bucket we are dying here! Are you holding back as we are getting massacred here!? Answer me!"

Servitor replied in an emotionless tone, "[Again I quote I am not allowed to kill except Grimm by the Order of King of Vale as he commanded my construction by my creators. The only authority who could command me to disable my base programming 1 temporarily is no other than his majesty himself end quote…]"

Mace snarled in annoyance, "Dammit! We are getting overwhelmed here Servitor tells the others to fall back and retreat to the airships immediately!"

Servitor replied immediately, "[It shall be done.]"

Then the Servitor informed the other Winchesters to fall back as the Fort Castle gate was breached and PLA troops start pouring in mass. As the Winchesters fall back with their Hard light shields activated as they were shot down in mass by PLA troops as they fall back towards the airships to escape.

Then Mace commanded, "We fall back as one!" after some time he ordered Servitor, "Do something Rustbucket!"

Then suddenly a drone shot a missile at the surrounding towers as the towers fell and block the advancing enemy troops. Then Mace activated the Fire dust within his mace Morning Star as he slammed his mace on the ground as he blasted the tower rubbles and the rubbles burned as they flew to the enemy troops.

Then Mace look around and did not see Reinhardt then asked Servitor, "Rustbucket where is Reinhardt?"

Servitor replied emotionless, "[Mr. Reinhardt run on his own a while ago in my current estimate's probably fighting hordes of enemy troops.]"

Mace snarled, "Dammit Reinhardt!"

On another area of Fort Castles lays Reinhardt charging straight ahead as he crushed everything on his path as his Armor back thruster's pushed him onward. As dozens of enemy troops he crashed with his armor as he saw a tank then proceeds to crush it with his mace Armour's Bane.

As he laughed, "Hahaha I love the wind in my hair."

As Mace arrived suddenly and shouted, "Get back and protect the perimeter!"

Reinhardt replied, "Nah I'm fine on my own."

As he saw another incoming tank and jumps as he precedes to smash it then smashed it away to the side.

Reinhardt spoke again, "Besides Servitor is holding them off."

Then suddenly an aircraft passed by and multiple figures jumped out of the aircraft as the cloud of dust settled. It was Claw special forces decked in advance armor than their normal comrades.

As Reinhardt saw them he spoke as he saw his next challenge, "That is mine Hu hah!"

As he turned back his Back thruster's as he proceeded to charge at them as the Claw Special Forces shot him back with their machine guns.

As Mace Winchester saw this and was annoyed, "Dammit Reinhardt don't rush ahead!"

As the Bull Faunus operative met his charge head-on and stopped it in its tracks as he grabbed Reinhardt then pushed him aside the operative grabbed his sword then slashed Reinhardt.

Mace Winchester shouted, "Reinhardt!"

Then suddenly another Faunus operative jumped and killed a fellow Winchester crusader at the back. As the operative and his comrades pointed their machine guns at the drones that followed Mace Winchester as other crusaders activated their hard light shields again along with Mace Winchester.

As another Crusader shouted, "We are being overrun!"

Mace Winchester commanded, "Fall back to the rally point I'll get Reinhardt."

As Reinhardt woke up from the hit earlier he suddenly stomped the Bull Faunus operative earlier as the Bull Faunus operative raised his sword to kill Reinhardt. Then he looked up as suddenly the mace of Mace Winchester hit him as he flew to the side but recovered quickly and proceeds to shoot him back with his machine gun. As Mach Winchester activated his Hard light shield again but it was shot down until it was destroyed and Mace used his arms as his cover. But the Bull Faunus operative proceeds to pierce Mace at his side with his sword. But Mace proceeds to grab the Bull Faunese's hand and torned it off his body. Then proceeds to smash him in the head with his mace and killed him. As Mace Winchester used his mace as his stand as he covered his hands on the wound in his side and glanced at Reinhardt.

Reinhardt spoke panting, "I had this."

Mace Winchester sneered at him, "Obviously…"

As the other operatives saw their comrade die and proceeds to point their guns at the 2 crusaders Mace covered Reinhardt from the barrage of bullets with his hammer.

Mace Winchester spoke, "They're cutting us off let's move."

As both Crusaders grabbed their maces and proceeded to run unto cover into the Gates of their castle. As tanks and enemy troops advance on their position they then closed the heavy alloy gate of their castle.

Mace Winchester spoke, "That Gate won't hold for long get back to the rally point..." then suddenly the pain from his wound interrupted him for a moment but he spoke again, "I will stall them off."

Reinhardt Winchester replied, "Hah! And let you have all the glory? Ha! Ha! Ha! We will fight our way back together!"

Then Mace Winchester slammed the floor with his mace as he removed his helmet to speak cause of the pain.

"No there is not enough time I'm staying here."

As Reinhardt looked at his wound and understands what he means and muttered,

"But….I…without you…"

Mace Winchester interjected, "Reinhardt! You took an oath to be a crusader now keep it."

As Mace Winchester raised his hand for a handshake Reinhardt looks at it in thought and muttered,

"I…I won't leave you!"

But Mace Winchester answered back, "But Vale needs you to be their shield."

Reinhardt was in the thought of what Mace said after some time was determined and proceeds to shake his hand. What was given in his hand were the Vytal summit pass and the invitation.

Mace Winchester spoke, "Reinhardt, Live with honor."

Reinhardt glanced at him and gripped his mace the proceeded to gulp air and gives his mace to Mace Winchester. As Mace Winchester grabbed his mace and Reinhardt spoke sadly,

"Die… with glory old friend."

Then Reinhardt proceeds to walk out of the castle towards the rally point. Then suddenly the Castle gate was destroyed as Mace Winchester looked back and saw the approaching Faunus troops as he wore back his helmet. Then he activated his back thruster's as he charged toward them with two maces at hand. As he crushed everything on his path but was surrounded suddenly by Claw Special Force's operatives but he activated his electric dust and produced a shockwave that killed many operatives. As his aura is running out and his armor is what is left protecting him from the onslaught. As he was hit on the shoulder but he throws one of the maces on the operatives as it killed him. As he charged forward at the last operative remaining as he jumped and then smashed the operative killing him. But suddenly enemy aircraft bombed the castle and it collapsed around Mace Winchester burying him as he died slowly of his wounds. Then he died buried in his castle as Crusaders escaped hastily on the airship while Servitor droids and drones stayed behind to hold the enemy troops off from shooting down the airship. As Reinhardt saw the castle collapse and shed a tear for his old friend as the airships flew towards the island of Vytal at full speed.

{19 days later}

On the island of Vytal as the 16th Vytal summit is still in session as King answered and listened to the issues that prevail in the kingdoms of Remnant. Then suddenly the summit door was slammed and the Summit was in silence as they glanced at where the noise came from. Then suddenly a Crusader sprinted through the Summit as all eyes were on the sprinting Crusader. As the Crusader in question kneeled suddenly to the King of Vale.

Then the King Arthur spoke, "What's with this brazen interruption of the Vytal summit Crusader?"

Then the Crusader replied, "Sorry you highness I am Reinhardt of house Winchester. I have come to warn you that Menagerie the nation of Faunus has invaded Vale, my king…"

Then the King suddenly interjected, "What!?"

Reinhardt spoke again in reply, "Yes my King Fort Castle has fallen and been captured by our enemies as we speak if we don't do anything soon the enemy will march towards the Vale itself!"

Then the King was in thought and then spoke, "How about Servitor I thought it was supposed to help you?"

Reinhardt replied, "Sir, your project is holding back itself as we were defending the fortress of Fort Castle it spoke that it was in its base programming to not kill humans nor Faunus as we were being massacred in Fort Castle it also spoke only you could order it to kill!"

Then the King spoke, "Sorry Winchester but I made it so it would not kill. However…. This surprised invasion of my kingdom is sacrilege! Genghis Khan what have you brought to my kingdom after my generosity I have given you and your people!"

As the king was angered at Genghis Khan's betrayal as he thought about it and then spoke,

"Hear me, my servant!"

Then drones appeared on the king's side as they heard him.

Then Arthur continued, "March towards Fort Castle! Unleash your legions to our enemies back to where they came from! Base programming 1 will be temporary and not be in place for the Proceeding months!"

As the drones listened closely even as the Summit heard what the king said but the King thought of what he said then spoke again,

"No, let me rephrase that! Servitors add this additional command to your modules! In the event of war, all enemy soldiers will be lifted off from Base program one temporarily until the war ends! Does this suffice gentlemen? Vote for its inclusion on Servitor press, the green button beside your desk if you agree if not press the red button beside it!"

Then the summit was in thought as they argued and thought of what they should do to add this or not. After some time the majority pressed the green button in agreement despite some pressing the red button in concern.

As Arthur looked at the results and concluded, "then so be it, my servant….."

Then suddenly another sprinted forward and kneeled beside the kneeling Crusader the interjected King Arthur.

"My king I am General Ugandos the newly appointed general of Mistral! I have come here to report that our scouts have spotted in southern Mistral a separate invasion force likely from Menagerie itself!"

Arthurs replied in shock, "What!?"

General Ugandos spoke, "Yes your highness if nothing will halt its advance soon it would reach the city of Kuchinashi."

Arthur processed what he heard and then spoke,

"Ironwood accompanies General Ugandos in Mistral as I will take care personally the invasion force in Vale any questions?"

Ironwood and General Ugandos of Mistral spoke in unison, "It shall be done, my king."

Then King Arthur continued where he left off, "Hear me, my Servant! March towards Vale and Mistral drive of our enemies back to where they came from Base program 1 will be temporarily disabled until the war's conclusion onwards!"

As the Vytal summit was over after the King's speech at the depths of Vytal processors rumble and servers heat up,

{15 days later}

AS the People Liberation Army Claw division has captured Fort Castle and proceeds to repair the mighty fortress from the damage they have wrought on it. Collecting corpses of their fellow troopers and giving them a proper burial. Cleaning up rubble from the fortress and destroying them back to their base components to be used again for the repairs of the fortress. As they repaired Anti-Air defenses guns and artillery placements on the Fortress. While collecting Servitor droids scrap metal to be melted and reused for making things like ammunition, repair materials, and vehicles. In the mighty fortress walls lays Genghis Khan overlooking repairs of the mighty fortress beside his brother.

Then Ghira spoke, "Brother Do we need to do this?"

Genghis Khan replied, "Yes, brother the humans need to pay for what they have done!"

Then Ghira Khan argued, "But brother we were fighting for freedom and liberation. But instead, we became nothing more barbaric conquerors."

Genghis Khan spoke, "What's your problem brother are you siding with the humans!?"

Ghira Khan replied, "No! What I meant is we became nothing more than the humans who ruled over us!"

Genghis Khan replied, "Are you implying we are the same as them, brother!?"

Ghira Khan spoke back, "Yes! If we will win this war then so what! We will become the occupiers we desperately hated!"

Genghis Khan replied in anger, "Take back what you said Ghira! We are not like them! We will never be! We are much better than them!"

Ghira argued, "How about the humans we have killed today, they have done nothing to us only to be put to the sword and to be killed for nothing more than petty revenge have you had no shame!?"

Genghis Khan replied in anger, "They deserve to be killed the Valeans lied to us! The King lied to us Ghira! They promised us a new life but we were given nothing more than the same life the Faunus have all over the years! A slave! Will we be nothing more than slaves our whole lives! Brother is that what you want to be a slave once more!?"

Ghira argued, "Of course not! But we can't fight injustice with injustice!"

Genghis Khan argued back, "We have tried to talk to them before but they never listened, the time of diplomacy has ended it's time for action!"

Ghira argued again, "To what ends!? Brother! How many Faunus has to die!? How many innocents have to suffer!?"

Genghis Khan replied angrily, "I have heard enough of you brother go back to your post! The Faunus has been at the short end of the stick forever! This time the humans will feel how to live like us!"

Ghira Khan proceeds to leave his brother's side but spoke a warning,

"I hope brother this won't come back to bite you…"

As Ghira left to do his duties once more Genghis Khan Thought of what Ghira has said to him but remained steadfast in his belief to get even with the humans.

{5 days later}

It was a quiet morning in the emerald forest but suddenly a fleet of airships has arrived to liberate Fort castle from the Claw division of Menagerie. As the fleet outside the striking distance of the AA defenses of Fort Castle stopped then a voice could be suddenly heard so loud it could be heard from miles ahead in all directions coming from the capital airship of the fleet.

"This is the King of Vale surrender now and you may live for another day with your families or die today for nothing! I'll give you until tonight to surrender but if you still occupy Fort castle tomorrow then you shall pay the consequence to be warned! I have ordered my servant to temporarily shut down its base program 1 to not kill! I repeat surrender now or face the consequence tomorrow any foul play tonight as we wait for your answer will be considered as the end to the temporary ceasefire as we will proceed with our attack!"

As the King of Vale voiced his ultimatum on the People liberation army Claw division that was occupying Fort Castle has heard this and proceeds to have a meeting.

A Faunus officer spoke, "Chieftain a large fleet of Servitor ships has arrived outside of the striking distance on the fortress."

Another Faunus officer spoke, "He is right Chieftain not only Servitor but the King of Vale himself is part of it what should we do?"

Ghira joined the conversation, "Brother not only that it seems like the droids we fought on this fortress were seemingly holding back."

Genghis Khan spoke, "Do you have evidence that proves this? We were having a hard time capturing this fortress not only because of the Winchesters guarding this fortress but mostly because of those droids?"

Ghira answered, "Yes my brother we have evidence on our medical autopsies mostly who have died were from the Winchester themselves blunt damages from their maces, but most of the wounded we have received is from those pesky droids but shockingly is they were mostly disabling shots like from the arms and legs painful but never fatal. It also could be said from the damage reports from our engineers as they repaired our vehicles."

As Ghira grabbed the report file from the engineering branch of the PLA then read the report,

"It is stated here that threads and engines were shot down in unbelievable accuracy instead of the pilots and riders themselves. If so then this proves the statement the King of Vale said of its base programming 1 of this Project Servitor it's unlike we have ever seen. If then this means the Project Servitor is holding back when we besieged the fortress but despite its apparent restrictions it still fought with scary efficiency that hold us off for days then if these so-called restrictions were lifted according to the ultimatum given by King Arthur I fear according to our current estimates many will die in the upcoming onslaught if we were to continue. Not only are we surrounded, but we are also outnumbered 10 to 1 by an enemy who could accurately shoot with deadly precision if that were to turn on our heads then we will all die brother. Genghis Khan slammed the table, "Are you suggesting that we would give up after coming this Far!"

Ghira Khan replied seriously, "Yes I am if we were to continue this assault we would be massacred in the thousands by Project Servitor."

Genghis Khan was annoyed and thought for some time then spoke, "No We will continue as planned."

Ghira Khan shouted, "Brother don't be stubborn let us return to Menagerie!"

Genghis Khan argued back, "And what my brother forget what happened for the last 16 years!? Are you saying that we should just forget his betrayal!? To forget that machine is the cause of the last 16 years! That this Project Servitor is the very reason Menagerie was exploited!? That thing is built atop the blood of hundreds of thousands of Faunus! Are you suggesting that we turn around then live in ignorance and live happily ever after as if it didn't happen!? Tell me, brother! Tell me! They won't go scot-free from their sins they will be punished accordingly!"

Ghira Khan tried to open his mouth to argue, but no words came out Faunus officers in attendance nodded at Genghis Khan's statement. As they argued to stay and fight on Fort Castle, then suddenly Genghis Khan spoke,

"We will ambush the King of Vale in this fortress ambush the King tomorrow and force him to order Project Servitor to surrender agreed?"

The Faunus officers nodded at his plan and proceeds to move out to do their jobs.

As Genghis Khan muttered, "Tomorrow King Arthur you will pay….."

{Tomorrow morning}

As King Arthur was in the capital ship overlooking a far Fort castle then he spoke, "Servitor did they surrendered yet or not?"

Then the command module of the ship suddenly inner speakers spoke,

"[King Arthur in my current data and observation they have left the Fort Castle]"

Servitor spoke soullessly King Arthur analyzed and thought about what Servitor said then spoke,

"If so let's enter the fortress and escort me."

Servitor replied, "[It shall be done]"

Then all of the fleets landed near the fortress as they opened their doors on their hulls. Then inside the ships were thousands upon thousands of droids and drones in all shapes and sizes still deactivated. But then suddenly a beeping sound could be heard on the ships.

"[All droids and drones activating...]"

"[All droids move out…]"

"[All drones secure the perimeter…]"

"[Activation complete…]"

Then all droids on the ships are suddenly activated as they move in unison in perfect formation as they leave the ship. As the droids march outside drones are suddenly launched in mass as they scour the area. Then after some time, the King of Vale left the ship as he walked outside into Fort Castle with his escort of droids and drones. As they proceed to enter the fortress it was abandoned and seemingly lifeless. As they move further Arthur couldn't stop the feeling that it was too eerie in the fortress of Fort Castle. Then they reached Fort Castle itself in rubble but still intact mostly. As the king entered the Castle he saw the corpse of his servant Mace Winchester still on his armor. As he walked towards the corpse as he spoke,

"Rest in peace my loyal servant."

As the king paid respect to his servant who valiantly defended the fortress and then he suddenly heard and felt something inside the castle and spoke,

"You expect me to be a fool to not see this ambush; I am a war veteran for brother god's sake I know an army won't just turn tail and run after coming this far."

Then the Castle gates were slammed and closed trapping the King as the trap was sprung and the King reacted,

"Let me guess you plan to ambush me so I could be used as a bargaining chip so my servant will be forced to retreat. You thought I am that easy to defeat then think again."

As several Faunus operatives or Special Forces came out of hiding to ambush the King the King still didn't face them and spoke,

"This is my last warning surrender now or suffer the consequences."

No reply came as they continued to surround him then the King spoke in disappointment.

"Whelp didn't say I did not warn you..."

Then suddenly he draws his sword Crocea Mors and faced his adversaries and slashes. As an aura slash travels to the air into the operatives as they died.

The King spoke, "Crocea Mors a simple yet elegant ancient weapon in modern times it may not contain range nor dust capabilities but I make do."

As the operatives shot the King discriminately but the King didn't dodge as his aura protected him from harm. They shot the king, again and again, hoping the aura of the king will run out but it still didn't run out nor the King budges from his position.

The King spoke, "Ah yes we Arcs are known for having limitless aura reserves or engines as they're called to let me introduce you to my semblance Kings Engine."

As the operatives shot again breaks and cracks from the aura were seen but suddenly they were repaired good as new. Then suddenly Arthur dashed into the operative's position as he slashed multiple operatives. Then more operatives came in as they shot the King in mass but still didn't make a dent in his aura as the cracks and damages of his aura were repaired suddenly. Then suddenly an operative brings forth a bazooka as the operative in question fires a rocket at the king. But the King made an aura slash as it cut through the rocket in half as it explode as frags came flying to him and bouncing off his aura. As the dust settled after the explosion the King concentrated his aura on the tip of his sword then a blast of concentrated aura flew off to the operatives that shot the rocket. As it exploded taking the operative that fired the rocket along with his comrades nearby. Then a tank came in view then suddenly the King dashed and slashed the air multiple times as multiple aura slashes were formed connectively as they flew towards the tank dicing it into pieces. Then multiple operatives proceed to draw their swords after knowing their guns are doing little to no effect. As they jumped as they surround the King, Arthur concentrated his aura again to the tip of his sword and then precedes the pierce his sword to the ground. As the ground exploded and erupted taking along rubble and operatives with it. The King proceeds to dash using the rubbles as stepping stones as he slashed and killed all the operatives still in the air. Then suddenly two rockets flew toward him at the back but he noticed it then concentrates his aura on the back demonstrating his mastery over aura. As the rockets hit his back exploding after the dust settled it shows no sign of damage to the king nor was his cape burned as his aura covered it too. Then as the king faced the direction where the rockets have been launched he proceeds to concentrate his aura at the tip of his sword suddenly a short burst of multiple aura blasts flew off towards the direction as they all exploded taking the hiding Faunus operatives with bazookas. Then suddenly an explosion was heard then as the King faced in the direction the explosion occurred. He saw the Castle roof rubbles slowly descending to him then stances himself and proceeds to slash the air multiple times as multiple aura slashes were formed connectively as they proceed to fly off the castle roof rubbles and dice them into manageable chunks. Then he stances again concentrating his aura on his sword as the aura concentrates more and more at the tip then a large aura blast flew off to the diced rubbles. Then it proceeds to obliterate them to nothing. Then suddenly an explosion was heard underground then suddenly the ground that King Arthur stands on fell towards the Fort Castle sewers. Then suddenly the King concentrates his aura on his leg as he crashed towards the sewer. As the King looked towards his surroundings as he smelled the rancid and foul smell of the sewers but then saw multiple bombs attached to the walls and as he look towards the hole where he came from and also saw plenty of bombs. Then they all exploded probably burying him off in the sewers if he didn't do anything. Then he concentrated more aura towards his legs then suddenly he jumped off the sewers as he used the rubble falling on him as a stepping stone to ascend back up into Fort Castle. But as he got closer and closer to the surface Faunus operatives shot him down on mass to prevent him from climbing back up. He focused his aura back on his body again to reinforce it as the bullets hit his body. But in doing so he fell back towards the sewer but suddenly he focused his aura into his arms as he punctured the walls he climbed back rapidly. Then he jumped off suddenly as he is back from the surface surprising the operatives waiting but they suddenly draw their swords. Then the king readied his sword then as the first operative tried to slash him the king parried his sword and then slashed him in the head killing him. Then the others proceeds to slash the king as the King was hit the swords broke through his barrier and made multiple cuts and wounds on his body. Then the King circularly slashed the air around him and then an aura slash in a form of a circle formed as it moves away from the king's body towards the surrounding operatives as they have seen the incoming attack and proceeded to dodge or ducked in cover. Then the King concentrated his aura on his immune system as his immune system rapidly heals his wound as if they were never there then he proceeds to repair his aura barrier too. Then the King looked around his surroundings as the operatives threw flashbangs and smoke grenades. But the King only focused his aura towards his eyes as a bright flash from the flashbangs nor does smoke from the smoke grenades seem to affect him. As he dashed and took advantage of the cover as he sliced more operatives to their deaths. Then as the smoke cleared, the castle was littered with rubble and corpses of operatives.

The King tired of the farce spoke, "Is this it? I expected more from your ambush. I warned you earlier I am not easy prey."

Then suddenly the King was hit by a war hammer at his back as flew towards the castle walls breaking them. As the king recovered from the blow and concentrated his aura on his back again repairing injured wounds and fractured bones then as he proceeds to repair his aura barrier again. Then after that, he proceeds to face the direction where he was hit and then saw a figure. He recognized the figure then suddenly the figure spoke,

"We meet again Arthur."

The King replied, "We meet again Genghis Khan."

Then as they stared at each other in silence the King spoke,

"It seems you're doing well Genghis. You're doing too well that you decide to invade my Kingdom answer me!"

Genghis Khan replied, "Don't lie to me! You Liar you know why we came here."

The king processed what he said in confusion as he looked at Genghis Khan with an unknowingly confused face.

Genghis Khan shouted in anger at his reaction as he dashed forward trying to smash the King,

"Don't you give me that face!"

The King parried his strike and replied, "I don't know what reason could justify invading us like this! I've given you and your people land to be for your own, but is this how you repay us by invading!"

As the King proceeds to concentrate his aura in his arms as he punched Genghis Khan into the castle wall. But Genghis Khan blocked his fist with his war hammers Siege Breaker but still flew but quickly recovered on his feet as he narrowly avoided being crushed into the castle walls. Then Genghis Khan proceeds to slam rubble as it flew directly toward the King as he replied,

"Don't give me that bullshit liar! You tricked us!"

As the King slashed the rubble as it flew to his side then the King replied, "Tricked you!? I've given you land and freedom what more do you need!?"

As the King then lunged toward Genghis Khan Genghis blocked his sword with his war hammer and then replied, "Freedom!? Freedom!? You tricked us into slavery again!"

As Genghis Khan activated the electric dust within Siege Breaker then his war hammer was covered in electricity as it threatened to transfer and electrify the King as their weapons connected. The King saw this instantly then instantly disconnected Crocea Mors from Siege Breaker as he jumped backward then spoke,

"Slavery?! I've done nothing of sorts!"

As the King concentrated his aura to the edge of his sword as he slashed the air a large aura slash is formed moving toward Genghis Khan. In response, Genghis Khan activated the earth dust within Siege Breaker as he proceeds to slam both his war hammers on the ground a large earth wall was formed that blocked the large aura slash. Then Genghis Khan activated his semblance as he slammed the ground then the ground is seemingly shaking and rumbling nonstop as the King lost his footing. Then a shockwave hit the King as he flew in the air and crashed to the ground as Crocea Mors was separated from him. Then as King concentrated his aura on his body to rapidly heal it suddenly Genghis Khan was on top of him pointing his war hammers at the King.

Genghis Khan spoke, "Don't deny my statement, Arthur! You tricked us into mining for you to provide resources and minerals for the construction of Project Servitor!"

The King glanced back at it him in confusion then spoke, "What!? It was Mantle and Mistral that were supposed to have responsibilities for losing the war providing resources and minerals for Project Servitors along with companies!"

Genghis Khan in anger slammed his hammer toward the King but the king flipped and dodged the attack as the floor where he was on before was destroyed. Then Genghis Khan spoke, "Mantle and Mistral!? Providing resources for your project! Don't give me that bullshit excuse!"

Then Genghis Khan proceeds to activate the fire dust within Siege Breaker as he used his semblance in conjunction. Then a huge fire shockwave was formed moving towards the King then the King concentrated his aura on his arms and then slammed both his hands together as it created a strong gust of wind that dissipated the shockwave and fire.

Then the King spoke, "I am saying nothing but the absolute truth! If there was something I don't know that you know tell me and I shall do something about it!"

As the King told his case Genghis Khan stared at him in silence as he realized something then spoke,

"Mistral and Mantle lied to you haven't they?"

The King replied confusion, "What!? Lied about what exactly?"

Genghis Khan shouted, "That they were providing resources and minerals but in truth, they forced us all on Menagerie to mine and masquerading our hard-earned work as Thiers!"

King Arthur was shocked, "What! They have done that!" Then the King thought for a moment then it clicked to him, "No wonder they were adamant on letting me assign those generals into Menagerie in the excuse of protecting and assisting the young nation on its feet. But in truth, they forced you to mine didn't they?"

Genghis Khan was in shock as the King didn't truly know their plight then suddenly he saw the King's aura surge in intensity as it glowed in yellow intensity.

King Arthur shouted, "And avoided their responsibilities!"

Then the King's aura surged so brightly that it turned into a pillar of yellow light as it glowed in intensity that could be felt physically as harsh winds were blown in all directions. Then the king glanced at Genghis Khan and spoke,

"If so what's Vale got to do with this? Genghis Khan, I now understood your situation. So please turn back and surrender or as the King of Vale I will be forced to kill you if it is in the name of my Kingdom."

Then Genghis Khan thought of what he said then spoke, "Hahaha… Then it's the same for me as the Chieftain of my kingdom I will do what must be done!"

Then the King still without his sword concentrated his aura on his fist then he punched the air repeatedly then aura fists formed as they moved toward Genghis Khan. Then Genghis Khan activated the air dust within Siege Breaker as he proceeds to slam both his war hammers together then a large gust of wind was created as it dissipated the aura fist coming towards him.

The King replied, "Why are you so stubborn! I already told you it was never my intention nor did I have knowledge of your plight that befalls your people!?"

As the King concentrated his aura on both his palms as he connected both his palms then proceeds to form an aura ball as it grew larger and larger then he proceeds to release it towards Genghis. Then Genghis activated the ice dust within Siege Breaker and then proceeds to slam his war hammers into the ground as they created multiple ice spikes that blocked the incoming aura ball but at the same time the ice spikes are moving toward the King to injure him. As the ice spikes pierced the King but the King only destroyed the ice spike impaling him as he rapidly heals and repairs his aura.

Then Genghis spoke, "Because of it as you said why didn't you help as in our times of need! Why weren't you there to help us when we suffered for the last 16 years you're too late! Why weren't we the first to experience your project as it was made by the blood of hundreds of thousands of Faunus that suffered for the sake of its construction!? You, humans, are all the same selfish and this time the Faunus won't be at the short end of the stick! I will make sure of it!"

As the King analyzed what he said and was guilty of why in all those years he never noticed nor known the plight of the people of Menagerie. As the king was in silence Genghis Khan dashed as he proceeds to pummel the King repeatedly with his war hammers as the King could do nothing but block his attacks with His Bare Hands. In Genghis Khan's rage as he continues to pummel the King repeatedly the King concentrated his aura on his leg as he proceeds to kick Genghis back. Then the King proceeds to run directly to get Crocea Mors that was separated from him before then proceeds to charge back at Genghis. Then Genghis recovered from the kick and proceeded to charge King Arthur as they both charged toward each other.

As they charged both shouted,

King Arthur, "Genghis!"

Genghis Khan, "Arthur!"

Then King Arthur proceeds to concentrate his aura on his legs as he dashed forward faster as which caught Genghis by surprise as the King pierced Genghis Khan's chest. As Genghis Khan vomited blood through his mouth as he fell to the floor bleeding. As Genghis Khan was out of aura as he proceeds to use his hands to cover the wounds on his chest. Then Arthur proceeds to hold his head as he is bleeding and but in a change of heart the King used his Semblance King's engine to try to heal Genghis as he is dying as his heart was pierced.

Then Genghis spoke, "Arthur…." Then he coughed blood, "Please … tell my…" then he coughed more blood, "Daughter….that I'm…. Sorry for not…being a…good father to…her" As his breathing became erratic.

Arthur replied, "You don't get to die yet!" As the king tried to heal him to no avail as it only prolonged his suffering.

Then Genghis Khan grabbed him on his collar then spoke even with his erratic breathing,

"Promise…me…it's too late for…me..."

Arthur spoke, "I….will honor your request…."

The Genghis Khan spoke softly, "Thank….you…"

King Arthur spoke to him in guilt, "Sorry, Genghis for not being there for your people I promise to bring those responsible for the plight of your people and I will assist your people in all I can this time."

Genghis Khan glanced at him then spoke, "I… have…forgiven…you…Arthur…"

Then Genghis Khan's vision starts to blurry, "Please…spare…my soldiers…let them come back home… to their families….they should not suffer…for my foolishness…"

The King replied, "Yes, I shall let them come back home to their families."

Then Genghis Khan's breathing is cut short as his organs begin to shut down as he looks at the sky as the Castle roof was blown up earlier.

Genghis Khan muttered softly, "We….could have….been friends…if only….the circumstances…were…different…"

The King glanced to the side as he could not face looking at him. Then Genghis's heart finally gave up and shut down in Genghis's final moments as he muttered,

"You….were….right…brother all….along…"

Then the pupils of Genghis Khan lost their light as he finally died in peace. Here lays Genghis Khan dying for the sake of his people in the hand of his fellow leader King Arthur. As King Arthur saw the lifeless body of his fellow leader as he proceeds to close his eyelids in respect of his adversary. Then suddenly Faunus operative's reinforcements came to surround the King, but what they saw shocked them as they lay still. They saw the body of their Chieftain as the King only glanced at them then spoke,

"Your Chieftain asked of me to give you mercy. As the King of Vale and your chieftain's adversary go back to where you came from, go back to your families, leave Vale, and collect your injured and your dead comrades."

As the Faunus operatives look around each other then suddenly all of them nodded in agreement as they proceed to take the corpses of their comrades, their injured comrades, and most definitely the corpse of their Chieftain. As they proceed to leave in mass carrying the dead, injured, and the corpse of Genghis Khan.

The King spoke again, "Leave immediately! Before I will have a change of mind!"

Then the operatives hasten their retreat out of the castle suddenly hundreds of drones come to flock to the King's Side then one of the drones spoke,

"[King Arthur we have routed most of the enemy troops in the fortress as you have predicted they have planned an ambush. They are in full retreat shall we give chase?]"

Servitor replied emotionlessly then King Arthur spoke,

"No, let them retreat in peace."

Servitor followed his command without question but then spoke,

"[In the last hours the enemy army that was supposed to be retreating came back to ambush my droids that are stationed outside but I have dealt with the ambushing enemy forces. By your command shall I apply your earlier order to let them retreat in peace…..awaiting a response.]"

The King replied, "Let them retreat to Menagerie, for now, we still got something left to deal with."

As the King referenced Mantle and Mistral's crime then suddenly Servitor spoke,

"[It shall be done.]"

Then in the command modules and servers within the airships located outside Fort Castle,

"[Transmitting commands to outlying droids in progress…..]"

"[Commands given:* Let enemy forces retreat in peace….]"

"[Analyzing commands…]"

"[Analyzation of commands completed…]"

"[Commands transmitted to outlying droids completed….]"

{Some hours previously outside Fort castle}

As the droids secured the perimeter outside Fort Castle fortress that was surrounded by the Emerald forest as the droids surveyed the area. After most of the droids within the airships were already deployed as they survey the area more than suddenly multiple noises were heard from the Emerald forest. Then suddenly the outskirts of the Fort Castle were bombarded as the bombardment took hundreds of droids with them. Then Servitor reacted suddenly as the droids spaced themselves far away from each other to avoid being destroyed by the dozens. Then suddenly multiple enemy aircraft flew ahead and proceeds to unload their bombs and fire their missiles. But Servitor is prepared this time with terrifying precision all droids fired upon the bombs in missiles accurately while they are still in the air as they explode. Without a moment's hesitation, Servitor fired missiles toward the enemy aircraft that had flown by. As thousands of missiles flew into the air following their targets then the Aircraft pilots proceed to launch flares in an attempt to shake off the missiles but it was all in vain as the missile coming toward them were not truly missiles but suicide kamikaze drones as Servitor know the flares was a ruse. Then the missiles hit the aircraft and they destroyed them without mercy. Then the artillery bombardment of enemy forces continues as they destroy hundreds of droids despite Servitor spacing them out. But then suddenly Servitor adapted then droids and drones proceeded to shoot the incoming artillery shots with terrifying precision and efficiency as the shells explode mid-air. Then the tanks droids and cannons from the unmanned airships proceed to counter-bombard the hiding enemy forces in the Emerald forest. As hundreds of PLA troops were obliterated to death but despite so they persisted in bombing the droids despite their losses. But the Servitor didn't care for its losses only calculated sacrifice of pawns on its cold-hearted and calculated strategy. Then Servitor orders his droids to march forward towards the forest then legions of droids and drones start to move towards the forest. Then as the droids marched towards the forest suddenly the ground exploded upon the droids as the forest was full of traps and mines but Servitor pushed on uncaring for his losses as he only ordered his droids to stop then drones swarm the area as they scanned the forest of traps then destroy the traps themselves. But as they scanned on the trees were hiding PLA forces as they proceed to shoot down the drones that were identifying the traps and mines they placed. As they shot hundreds of drones the drones only transmitted the data towards the droids as even without visual sight shot accurately at the hiding forces with terrible precision like the whole droid and drone force moved like a single organism. Then even as the droids massacred the hiding PLA forces on the trees suddenly large droids flew by as they now scour the area of traps and enemies as shot them down to oblivion. But the PLA forces starts to shoot them down with bazookas as they fired their rockets and destroyed dozens of large drones. Then the droids who were stalled cause of the traps started to continue their advance as they shot hundreds more enemy troops to their deaths without care, fear, guilt, and mercy. As the PLA forces fall back further into the forest then PLA tanks start appearing in mass as they tried to counter Servitor's advance. But Servitor only continued on its advance as droids and drones proceeds to destroy the tanks one by one as Servitor deployed its anti-tank droids and weapons. As the PLA fall back further into the forest their courage, hope, discipline, rhetoric, and ideals were meaningless against their foe as they were killed by the dozens a minute. As their morale was plummeting Servitor pushed on without the need for morale, emotions, and fear as Servitor killed without mercy and remorse. Thousands of soldiers with families, sons, and daughters lay on the battlefield dying in vain against a superior foe. As their numbers were beginning to be reduced from the terrible death rate of Servitor's onslaught their situation become more hopeless as the forest became a battlefield its grounds littered with blood and corpses. The unlucky ones who were shot but still lived desperately try to escape the onslaught as droids are advancing towards their position. Then a droid reached the injured survivors as the droid proceeds to point his weapon toward the injured soldiers emotionlessly as its red eyes glowed with intensity and the survivors accepted their fates. Then a command was transmitted to the droid,

"[Let enemy forces retreat in peace….]"

Then it stops its earlier action as it proceeds to fall back and then suddenly all droids and drones that were advancing towards the PLA Claw division start to fall back on mass towards Fort Castle despite the confusion of their enemies. Then far away Ghira Khan saw this as the droids fall back towards Fort castle then after some time some jeeps came into view. As he recognized them as the PLA special forces operatives that were supposed to ambush the King with Genghis. Then as they passed the droid horde and the droid horde proceeded to ignore them despite Ghira's confusion. Then the operatives arrived at their position and could be seen on their jeeps carrying injured operatives and corpses. Then Genghis Khan tries to find his brother but he could not seem to find him. Then he asked an operative,

"Where is my brother?"

The operative in question only looked at him in silence and then proceeds to sway his head in response. Then Ghira gets what he means then proceeds to run towards the jeeps that carry the corpses. Then proceeds to scour them one by one as he opened them to find his brother after some time he finally saw the corpse of his brother Genghis Khan. Then proceeds to cry out to the heavens as he saw the corpse of his brother,

"BROOOOTHEERR!"

As he embraced the lifeless cold corpse of his brother and cried as his eyes is bursting with tears for his dead brother. After some time as the PLA claw division mourned as they heard their chieftain was killed as Ghira embraced the corpse of his brother. Then Ghira asked the surviving Special Forces operatives about what happened at Fort castle. Then the surviving Special Operatives told Ghira about what happened at Fort castle then also spoke that the King give them a chance to retreat concerning Genghis but also told him that the King was informed by Genghis about the plight of Menagerie and the King has no knowledge of what occurred and will do something about it. Then Ghira understood as he calmed down but still in grief as he ordered the remaining PLA claw division forces to retreat to Menagerie. After some time the Claw division proceeds to leave on mass as they left the continent of Sanus back to Menagerie bringing back their shame and defeat to be told to the masses of Menagerie.
