A girl is found on Iroh's ship . She has no memories of how she got there, but she knows what she has to do. She finds herself stuck with the fire nation due to her admiration towards Iroh and for that same reason, she ends up following Zuko on his journey to restore his honor. Seeing how desperate he is, she thinks to herself, 'Why not help him…for now...' (ZukoxOC)

Prompt for Kataang Week 2021 Fri July 30: Healing, Katara is the healer of Team Avatar, and it's a burden that weighs heavily. Some pain just can't be healed, especially Aang's whose trauma and pain linger even after the war.

After everyone has returned safely from the comet, Katara realizes she's been having trouble sleeping without being near Aang and decides to confront her fears with a late-night talk. Written for the Kataang Week 2021 prompt: Healing.

"I just—I have to know you're okay, Aang. That's all. It's not a big deal." Aang blinked, her words sinking into his heart like a stone into quicksand. "Know I'm okay," he repeated, "or know I'm alive?" When Aang falls, Katara is always there to catch him. But maybe that's part of the problem. In the weeks after Ba Sing Se fell, he died every night. Every time she closed her eyes, his death was pressed behind them. It multiplied until the room was choked with it, until she could scarcely see his living form through the specters of his death. Maybe it was inevitable that she wouldn't be able to shake them all.

Azula had left the fire nation and took up work as a bounty hunter. She was good at it, able to standover all those pleading to be let free. Yet one drink, caused what most would guess. A child born to Azula the only one who showed her unconditional love. Still fate deals the cards, yet no matter the cards the backs are always blue.

It was then Katara's turn to stare up at the fiery sky, the multitude of clouds glowing in red and orange glory. "Aang," she murmured, his name falling from her lips like a prayer. "Please." Zuko wants to confess to Sokka, but he isn't sure how to do so. He accidently wakes up someone when he's trying to figure out his emotions. Sokka, it turns out, woke up, and decides to stay with him.
