With Tauriel in Erebor, Kili's feelings for her are discovered soon enough, and he finds he must decide where his loyalties lie, with his kindred or an elf.

All she really wanted was pancakes but she'll settle on a dragon slaying quest. After literally falling into the lap of the dwarf king, Thia decides to give adventuring a try. Sure there is danger, the threat of death, and over all discomfort but what's a little inconvenience amongst friends? Not that they are friends... Yet.

After Ravenhill, his subjects, and some of his kin, lay dead on the fields of Erebor, and the streams ran red with the blood of men, Elves, Dwarrow. His Captain was nowhere to be found, and his son wouldn't, no, couldn't, come back. Mistakes were made, and words in anger said, but it was too late to mend.

Sending Kili and Fili scouting the watchtower had only seemed natural, Thorin hadn't realized it was a trap and that he'd just literally offered one of his sister-sons to the Pale Orc. While physical wounds heal eventually, psychological scars can run deep, and being feared wasn't an outcome Thorin had ever expected when he'd ridden up to Ravenhill, much less by his own nephew.
