Hobbits believe that in order to gain, something of equal value must be lost. Bilbo Baggins is born blind but his gift allows him to see through the vibrations of the ground he walks on. Not that anyone outside of the Shire knew of the gifted ones, which made it all the more confusing at to why Gandalf would want a blind hobbit for a burglar.

One-shot set between Kindred Horizons & Small Beginnings. By order of Thorin, Bilbo searches the lower levels beneath the treasure hall for the Arkenstone. After a couple of hours, and some unfortunate circumstances, he finds himself lost in the royal crypt where no one can hear him. Friendship fic.

During the Battle of the Five Armies Throrin realizes his love for Bilbo while Bilbo watches him fight for life after the battle. Now both with help from the other members of the company try to subtly inform the other about their intentions to court them. However all is not that simple as Bilbo must return to the Shire while Thorin faces the prospect of an attack on Erebor.

Set in the year TA 2894, 47 years before the Quest. In Ered Luin, a terrible fever begins to strike mercilessly on dwarves. The fever hits close to home for Thorin Oakenshield when a young Kíli is afflicted. Faced with no known cure and running out of time, it may be only a determined Fíli who holds the wisdom to stop the illness. Slight AU

As he's starting to hit rock bottom a gang rides into town. He knows they are bad news, but he can't deny the strange pull he feels to a silent blond with frighteningly intense blue eyes.

AU: Smaug was killed when he attacked Erebor. The line of Durin reigns under the Mountain, with Thrain as the king. But "something is rotten in the state of Erebor" as a power, as destructive and dangerous as any dragon, grows. Each Durin faces tough decisions. Is family and the bonds that tie stronger than evil and power? Set roughly the same time as the Hobbit.

One hundred and seventy years after losing almost everything to Smaug, Kelda joins the Company of Thorin Oakenshield in order to take back Erebor and return to her home. But is home really the Lonely Mountain or is her real home actually a person? (Thorin/OC)

All those long years ago in the midst of Battle and flames a child was born. An Heir to the throne of Erebor, a once great and powerful Kingdom under the mountain. Too Bad that Kili has married someone else and she was no better than a half-breed bastard.

There is nothing wrong with writing 'A girl falls into Middle Earth' stories, as long as your character isn't what is known as a 'Mary Sue.' This is a parody. Do not take this seriously. I am purposefully making a very cliché young lady, as the protagonist.

Thorin accompanies a trading caravan to Rohan. They are ambushed and his brother-in-law is killed and Thorin is gravely injured. He dreads telling his sister and his young nephews.

Thranduil punishes the beautiful Xexilia and her father.
