To say the Dawnguard hated Vampires was a given, like saying the sky was blue. Their viewpoint was just about as black and white a one as you were going to find. It's a shame in the real world there's only varying shades of grey.

A story of how Odahviing found a young and near dying Dragonborn in the middle of a snowstorm, somehow managed to raise her, lost her, and was reunited with her again, just not in the way he had planned. How he had learned to care about a mortal, the Dovah didn't know - after all, it had started out with an act of pity. AU. HIATUS IS NOW OVER!

Aela thought her acts toward the Dragonborn were just. She does what any true companion was expected to do, along with a few new things. It was perfectly normal. But the Dragonborn was left to wonder why the Huntress behaved so... strangely.
