Some of things they will be doing will be kind of childish, but will be a projection of what Severus never got from his own father, and doesn't want his son to live without those memories. He will essentially be teaching Hadrian the things that most children learn growing up, but he didn't because he was never allowed to be a kid. Enjoy!
—-Severus' POV—-
I arrive at six in the morning as Tom and I planned. Hadrian will be up in about an hour, and will be down for breakfast two hours after that. We will all have breakfast together, then Hadrian and I will floo to Prince Manor.
"Good morning Severus."
"Good morning Tom. Were you able to get it?"
"Of course I was. I have tea set up in the other room. Let's talk more there." When we are settled, he looks at me expectantly. "Alright, with muggles, he doesn't know how to ride a bike, he doesn't know the rules to most sports aside from what they learn in school. He doesn't know how to fish or anything that is remotely outdoorsy. He is fond of gardening and cooking the muggle way, but those are really the only things he has ever done, and they have always been forced upon him. When it comes to magic, the only broom based game he has played is quidditch, he doesn't know most of the traditions and customs, he has never been to any muggle or wizarding attractions aside from the muggle zoo when he was ten, the quidditch World Cup with the Weasley's in his fourth year, and Diagon and Hogsmead."
"I really wish I could have been there Tom. I should have been there to raise him and show him all of these things as a kid. He deserves every last bit of happiness I could have given him and more. Now he's fifteen years old and he has had to be a grown up since he was five, and still grown up before then. I swear if I ever see that horrid woman again, she will only live long enough for Hadrian to get his revenge. Her family too."
"We both wish we could go back in time to change things. The prophecy was clearly a fake, which means I was the reason all of this happened in the first place."
"No it wasn't. You were tricked, and Dumbledore had caused you to go temporarily insane. If this wasn't my fault, then it wasn't yours either."
"Let's just agree to put the past behind us, and make the most of the future."
"Agreed."
—-Hadrian's POV—-
I wake up the same way as yesterday, and I let a sleepy grin pull at my lips.
"G'morning Tom."
"Good morning kitten. Breakfast will be ready in two hours, you're bath has been drawn, and your father will be joining us for breakfast. Oh, and Alexander sent your things last night. Severus said muggle clothing would be more comfortable for today. Your clothes are in the closet and dresser. Kipsy has taken a liking to you since you let him do your hair and makeup yesterday. I hope you are up for it today because he will be insistent."
"I really hope I got all of that. You really need to give me a chance to wake up more before giving me a daily rundown." I complain.
He responds with a laugh as he ruffles my hair. I sigh and climb out of the comfortable bed. After my bath, I pick out a muggle outfit consisting of black skinny jeans, a black t shirt, and a teal and black flannel. Kipsy does my makeup to make me look healthier again, and my hair is French braided into a crown and bun.
When I make it down to the dining room, Sev is sitting in the chair next to the one I sit in, which is around the corner of the table. As usual, Tom pushes my chair in for me, and soon, breakfast is being served. It is oatmeal with fruit, and I am able to finish the oatmeal and all of the fruit I took, even though I didn't take a ton. When everyone is finished, Tom sees us to the floo, and we go to Prince Manor.
"Alright, I know we haven't always seen eye to eye, so don't be afraid to tell me if you would rather not do something. I won't be offended."
"I promise whatever you have planned will be more than good enough." I tell him with a smile. He returns it and leads me outside.
"I hope you don't mind, but I gave Tom a list of things to see if you knew how to do them. He didn't dig, but he did check your mind to see. The thing is, there are some things that all kids do growing up, a lot of which is generally done with their father. I figured, you may be fifteen almost sixteen years old, but you didn't really have much of a childhood. Because of that, you missed a lot of your own milestones. The first one I thought of, was learning to ride a bike."
As he says that, we turn a corner to see a black bike with green trim.
"You want to teach me to ride a bike?"
"Is that a no?"
"Well, I always wanted to learn. You really don't have to do all this though. What's the point of learning it now anyway? I'd just be waisting your time."
"Hadrian, you are never wasting my time. And the point of learning is for the experience that comes with it. Come on and give it a try."
I walk over and get on it the way that I've seen Dudley and other kids do it. He helps me practice balancing it for a little while, then has me try peddling. I don't get very far before I crash.
"That is a lot harder than riding a broom." I say when I get up. He laughs and brushes off my shoulders.
"That's cause bikes don't use magic to stay up."
"It's all wobbly though."
"It was your first try. I will hold onto it this time so you can get a feel for it easier."
We try it a few more times, always laughing when something goes wrong. One of the funnier moments was when we were trying a turn, and I tried to simply shift my weight and tilt the handles slightly like a broom. I stopped peddling in order to do this, and all that happened is me falling straight sideways. It took us both a little while to catch our breath after that one. Having gotten used to peddling while trying to balance as well, he is having me try it on my own. It's shaky at first, but I get the hang of it after one close call.
"Hadrian you're doing it!" He exclaims excitedly.
I start to turn around, and I start off alright, but I still fall. He runs up to me and helps me up.
"Did you see that? I was doing it on my own. And I only fell when I turned!" I say excitedly.
"I saw. I'm very proud of you Hadrian. Good job." My chest becomes tight with emotion for a moment, and then it clicks.
"I think I understand what you were talking about earlier. About the experience I mean. Thank you."
"No, thank you for giving me the chance to share these experiences with you. I was heartbroken when I had to leave you, even if it was to keep you safe. A lot of these things that I have for us to do together, are things I wished I could have done with you growing up. It would have been better if you weren't raised in such a horrible environment, but at least we can do things like this together. Now go try again. Don't make such a tight turn next time."
We keep it up until it's time for lunch. We put the bike in the shed where I see another bike. Catching what I was looking at, he mentions that one of these days we'll go on a bike ride together. We have a light salad for lunch, and he makes me take my potions. Then we go out to the garage where he has me get in the expensive looking car.
He drives through a portal, and we come out of an alley in muggle London. Fifteen minutes later, we are parked outside of a movie theater. I look to him in surprise, and he smirks back at me. After purchasing two movie tickets, he takes me to the concession stands and we get popcorn, soda, and a few different kinds of candy. When the movie is over, we go to a local arcade where he teaches me how to play some of the older games that he knew how to play, as well as teaching me to play billiards. When we leave, it's already getting dark so we get carry out Chinese food and head back to the Manor. We sit on the porch swing and eat while looking for constellations, and making some up when we've found all we could. Each made up constellation gets a funny backstory and my sides have stitches in them by the time I have to go back to the Haven.
Before I go through the floo, I turn around and give him a tight hug, which he returns happily.
"Thank you for today. I had fun."
"So did I. If you want to, you can come over whenever you like, especially when Tom works. We could even have a summer project to do in between our other activities. I am pretty good with muggle tools and woodwork. And there's this really good oak tree a little further onto the property. We could build a treehouse up there if you want."
"Really?! That would be so cool!"
"It's a plan then. What do you think about Thursday? It's two days from now, and Tom will have to work. You could even spend the night if you really want to."
"I would love to. I will let Tom know the plans."
"Alright. Have a good night."
"You too."
When I get back, Tom is waiting for me while working on paperwork. I walk over to him, plop myself down right on his lap, and snuggle into his chest.
"Hadrian? What's this about?" He asks as he wraps his arms around me and pulls me closer.
"I never thought that I would say this, but thank you for looking through my mind without my permission."
"You're welcome. I take it things went well then?"
"Yes. He taught me how to ride a bike, we had lunch, then we went to the movies and arcade. When we were done at the arcade, it was getting dark and we picked up some Chinese, which is fantastic by the way, and we ate on the porch swing while looking at the constellations. I'm going to spend the night on Thursday, and we're going to build a treehouse over the course of the summer."
"That sounds wonderful. I am glad you two are getting along so well now."
"So am I." I yawn
"Alright, well before you head to bed, I have something for you."
He hands me something wrapped up. When I open it, there is a journal in it.
"It's a two way journal. I have the other one, and whenever one of us writes, the other journal will light up and vibrate, but only once there isn't anyone to notice it. Then I can still tell you good morning and good night no matter where you are."
"Thank you. I love it."

"Hadrian slow down. You'll give yourself a stomachache." Tom chastises as I eat.
"I'm just really excited."
When I woke up this morning, I dressed in muggle clothes that would be good for the warm weather. I am wearing jean shorts and a white tank top with a pair of sunglasses on my head my hair has been pulled up in three buns, one on top of the other, and the bottom two were braided. Kipsy agreed to teach me how to do my hair as long as he was still allowed to do it for me or help me the majority of the time.
"We have all day. Spending an hour to eat will not kill you. Eating too quickly and getting a stomachache will only keep you in your room all day."
"Fine." I start putting food in my mouth in slow motion.
"Smart ass."
"You wouldn't have it any other way."
When breakfast is over, I am given an official tour of the Haven, including all of the secret passageways he had installed in case of emergency. There was a training room, an indoor pool and spa, the kitchen, the dining room, Tom's study, and the sitting room on the first floor. The second floor had our bedrooms, several guest bedrooms, and what is essentially a man cave.
The last one on the second floor is a room that Tom had cleared out and converted into my own study that holds the start of my personal library, lots of comfortable looking places to curl up and read, and a fireplace hooked up to the floo that I have to give permission for anyone to use. There is a desk in the corner, but even that was made to look as comfortable and relaxing as possible. The colors are all shades of blues, creams, and sand browns, and every piece of furniture has rounded corners to have sort of a relaxed wave sort of a look. One wall is actually a window, and it shows the forest next to the house. To complete it all, he charmed the room to smell like the weather outside. If it's bright and sunny, you can smell the flowers and plants, if it's raining, you can smell it. If it's snowing however, the air becomes a little warmer and the smell of cinnamon rolls and hot cocoa will fill the room. I decided to call the room the Nook because of the comfortable atmosphere he created in it.
When it's time for lunch, we grab a picnic basket from the kitchen, and Tom blindfolds me. After walking for a while, I notice that plants are brushing against my legs, meaning we are in the forest. Finally, he stops me and starts to untie the blindfold.
"And now we begin," he pulls the blindfold off quickly for dramatic effect. "our second date."
I open my eyes to see a sight that, even after all these years in the Wizarding World, knocks the breath out of me with how magical it looks and feels. There is a large pond that sparkles in the sunlight. An ancient looking willow tree is sitting at one end, radiating magic like a beacon. On the end closest to us is a stone gazebo that has a small deck on it, a small canoe tied to it and swaying gently in the water.
"Oh Tom, this is just... wow."
"Do you like it?"
"I love it. It's beautiful." I answer as I turn into him and peck his cheek.
"I'm glad. I know that muggles are always talking about the first dates, but it's different in the Wizarding World. First dates generally have an awkward feel as both people are trying to get a feel for each other. First dates are always public, while second dates are private and secluded. That's why wizards and witches celebrate the anniversary of their second date. Because of that, I wanted to make it special for you."
"Oh Tom, this is so sweet. Thank you." I kiss his cheek, then he sets up the picnic.
There is the traditional red and white checkered blanket, a wooden basket, warm ham and cheese sliders under a heating charm, several dishes of fruits and vegetables, potato salad, and wine to drink. He flicks his wand and a few instruments appear and play music. As we eat, we laugh and joke about things like the length of Dumbledores beard or Fudges stupidity. When we are done with lunch, he pulls treacle tart out of the basket, no doubt finding out it's my favorite from searching my mind for Sev. As I finish eating, him having finished a moment ago, he stands up and offers his hand with a bow.
"May I have this dance?" He asks formally.
I accept with a blush, letting him pull me to my feet effortlessly. One of my hands finds it's way to his shoulder, the other grasped loosely in his free hand, and we sway gently with the music. A warm breeze blows through the air, and I relax into his hold, leaning my head against his shoulder. When the song ends, and a more upbeat one starts playing, I am suddenly being twirled around under the willow tree, unsure when we got to this side of the pond.
I laugh when he lifts me in a spin, then sets me down. In a moment, our laughter stops along with my breathing. Our eyes are locked together and the music is simply background noise. When our lips can't be any closer without touching, he stops.
"Is this alright, or should I stop?" He asks quietly.
"Don't stop."
As soon as the plea leaves my mouth, his lips are attached to mine in a tender, loving kiss. My hands on his shoulders move up, my arms wrapping themselves around his neck in an attempt to be closer to him. His tongue brushes my lower lip before pushing its way into my mouth, giving me the chance to stop it if I want. By the time we break the kiss, my cheeks are warm with blood, and my breathing is heavy. Tom's cheeks are flushed, and his breathing is slightly heavier, but he is otherwise unaffected by the length of time we were kissing.
"I don't think you realize how amazing you are." He tells me.
"Thank you, but I doubt that I'm as amazing as you seem to think I am."
"Let's just agree to disagree for now. What do you say we head back and I show you the garden and backyard?"
I grin widely, and take his arm when he offers. He calls for a house elf to clean up the picnic an leads me back to the house. We walk around the corner from the door we came from to find a huge garden with arches of flowers and flower beds everywhere, the path consisting of steppingstones. There is a huge fountain in the middle, the kind where the water comes from openings all around it as well as the mouth of a fish statue in the center. The only thing off about the garden is a large rectangular space of dirt right across from the fountain, and on the other side of it as a set of double doors leading inside. Tom catches my confused look.
"That spot is there for you if you want it."
"What do you mean?"
"When I looked into your mind, I saw you like to garden. You are welcome to the whole garden, but I noticed you like vegetable gardens as well. You don't have to, but if you want one, that is there for you."
My eyes light up at the prospect of having a vegetable garden that I could actually eat from.
"So I could grow stuff and then you and I can actually eat what I grow?"
"Absolutely."
"That's amazing thank you! I'm so excited! It's bigger than the ones at the Dursley's! I could grow lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, radishes— oh! Could I grow watermelon and cantaloupe?!"
"Anything you want. If you run out of room, we will clear a bigger space."
I hug him tightly and peck his lips with a blush. Smiling at me, he takes me inside and down the hall to get to a sitting room with sliding glass doors leading outside. When we walk out, we are standing on a large patio with several cushioned chairs scattered about, a large round table with an umbrella and six chairs around it, and a covered area that appears to be an outdoor kitchen/bar. There is a large, expensive looking grill, a fridge, deep freeze, sink, stove, and lots of counter space. There are shelves of alcohol that are charmed to be the right storing temperature. Right outside of it, facing the rest of the patio is a counter with stools like a bar. Past the patio is an enormous in-ground pool, with a large stone fixture with a waterfall. On the other side, there is a large hot tub that could fit twenty five people comfortably.
"Let's go put on a movie and relax. I have invited your father for dinner tonight, he will be here in a couple of hours, and we will be grilling tonight. We can swim too, if you'd like."
"Ok. Can I cook? I know it's usually the elves, but I like cooking."
"Of course you can. Here, write down what you'll need and the elves will have it ready for you when it's time."
He hands me some parchment and a quill and I start writing things down. When I am finished, I send it with a house elf and we settle in for the movie.
An hour and a half later, Tom and I walk outside and I start preparing dinner. My dad joins us shortly after that, and the three of us talk while I am cooking. My mind wanders to how much things have changed for the better since that night. I'm happier than I ever remember being, not that I have much to compare it to. Sensing my line of thought, Tom smiles warmly at me.
Yeah, I can get used to happy.
