A/n, this is a tag for" Memorium."

Reid hesitated outside the hospital room. He wondered if he should knock first or go inside. Maybe he should go away and wait to see JJ when she returned to work?

He sighed and straightened to his full height. It was ridiculous to stand outside the door like a frightened child. He compromised by tapping on the partially open door and sticking his head inside. His heart sank and began to thump when he saw that Will sat next to JJ's bed.

"Hi, Spencer," Will greeted. "Come in."

"Um, I didn't mean to intrude. I can come back."

"No," JJ said, and she smiled.

Her hair shone in the light from the windows, and her blue eyes sparkled with happiness. For a minute, the old feelings rushed back despite Will's presence. Reid nearly turned around and left because the thought of Henry as Will's child was overwhelming. It took a considerable effort, but he managed to get control and force a wide smile.

'Hi," Reid said and was relieved that his voice did not have a quiver or squeak.

"I'm so glad you came this morning. The doctor's releasing Henry and me in a few hours."

"Oh good," Reid said and kicked himself for not saying something more intelligent.

"I am so glad. I can't wait to get home with my guys."

"You're going straight to bed for some rest," Will said.

JJ laughed. "I think we're both going to be missing a lot of sleep in the next few months."

"Doctors say you should sleep when the baby does," Reid blurted out.

"I hope it's that simple," JJ said.

Reid came closer and held out an arrangement of roses he'd bought for her and Henry. "This is for you and Henry," he said.

"Oh, Spence. They are beautiful."

"Yes," Will said. "Let me take them and find something to put them in," he offered. He lightly slapped Reid on the shoulder as he took them.

"I love white roses," JJ said as Will left the room. "Thank you."

"You're welcome. White symbolizes purity and innocence, and that's Henry."

"I'm so glad you're here, Spence. I wanted to thank you again for agreeing to be his godfather. I know you're going to love each other."

"I am still a bit discombobulated about that," Reid said. "Why me?"

"Because you're the best example of what a man should be, next to Will. You're kind, compassionate, empathetic, but intelligent and strong. You survived so much, Spence."

"I hope I can be what you think I am," Reid said, and for a minute, they held eye contact, and Reid thought he saw something in JJ's gaze that made his heart race.

Were there – feelings in her eyes? No! Don't be stupid, she just had a baby, and the release of certain hormones is havoc on her emotions. It's nothing more than that.

"There," Will said from the doorway and broke their connection like shattering ice. "Found a vase."

"Oh, they look so beautiful. Thank you, honey."

Will set them on the bedside table. Reid studied them for a minute. He didn't know what to say. He wanted to make an excuse to leave when a nurse came into the room with Henry.

"There he is," JJ said.

Henry wore a knitted blue cap on his head and had a matching blue blanket about his tiny body. Reid could see that he slept when the nurse transferred him to JJ. "He's doing perfect," said the nurse. "The doctor will be in any minute with your last checkup before you leave."

After the nurse left, Reid said. "Um, I should go."

"You don't have to leave, Spencer," Will said as he watched Henry sleep.

"No, it's fine. I have a few errands to run."

"Spence, I want to hear about what happened in Vegas. Morgan told me a little, but I know there's more."

Reid shrugged. "Alright, but later. You guys need your rest."

"Call me in a couple of days, Spence."

"I will."

Reid said goodbye to Will, waved at JJ and Henry, and hurried out of the room. He could feel his eyes stinging again. He wondered if the day would ever come that he could look at JJ without love and jealousy warring in his gut.
