A/n, this is a tag for "The Gatekeeper."
"Well, there goes a piece of history," Rossi said as they left The Benjamin. "There will never be another place like it."
"Come on," Jo said. "Give me a ride home, will you."
"I thought you drove."
"Nope, I rode in with Garcia, but she's taking Morgan home, and I'm not sitting in the back seat of her convertible and watching them flirt."
"Hey," Morgan said.
"Let's go, Chocolate Thunder." Garcia took his arm and led him away to her orange baby.
"You two want a ride," Hotch asked JJ and Reid.
"No, I parked down the street, and Reid took the train. I already asked him if I could give him a ride, but he likes walking for some reason," JJ teased.
They split off from the group and walked two blocks down the street to JJ's car. "You want to come for brunch tomorrow?"
"Sure."
"Good. Henry keeps asking for you. Also, your birthday was a couple of weeks ago, and you refused a cake. So I have something else for you."
"JJ!"
"It was Henry's idea."
"Henry is four, JJ."
"Yes, and he asked a lot of questions. He knows his fifth birthday is coming up, and he wanted to know when you have a birthday. I told him."
Reid knew he couldn't be a jerk if Henry were curious, so he said. "Fine. I will come over on Sunday."
"Good."

When Reid knocked on the door to JJ's home Sunday morning, JJ answered. "Hey, Spence. Come in. You're right on time, as Will is just pulling his masterpiece out of the oven."
Reid breathed in deep and smiled at the aroma of cheese, garlic, bacon, potatoes, onions, and other smells that told him Will had made his Cajun Breakfast Casserole. "Smells delicious."
"Uncle Spencer," said a voice to his left.
Reid turned to see his young godson hurrying to him from the living room. "Hey, Henry."
He crouched down to hug the boy tight. "I missed you."
"I missed you, too," said the little guy. "Can I show Uncle Spencer now?"
"Not until daddy says our food is ready, little man," JJ said.
Henry pouted a little, and then he said. "Uncle Spencer, can you do magic?"
"Of course."
Reid went to the living room and had time for two new card tricks before JJ said they were ready to eat. Henry grabbed Reid's hand and tugged him forward. "Hurry up, Uncle Spencer."
Reid followed Henry out to the kitchen and stopped short when he noticed several orange roses tied with a yellow ribbon sitting in a coffee mug that said. "The World's Best Godfather."
"Wow, they're beautiful."
"I picked them out," Henry said proudly.
"Well, thank you."
Reid crouched again to hug his godson and looked up to see JJ smiling as a tear slid down her cheek. He looked up at Will, who said. "Happy Birthday, Spencer."
"Thank you all."
"You're welcome."
After they ate, Will shooed them out. "I'll clean up."
JJ joined Reid on the sofa, and Henry made a beeline for his toys. Reid held his coffee mug and studied the flowers. "Did you know that orange roses mean friendship and love because they combine yellow and red roses?"
"Yes, but they also can mean "I'm proud of you, congratulations, and thanks. It's one reason why I was surprised that Henry picked them, but I'm glad he did."
"You are?"
"Sure. I am proud of you, Spence. You delivered a baby, for goodness sake, and convinced Tanner Johnson to put down his weapon simultaneously. You're amazing."
"I wanted to make sure the baby and mother were safe. It was – instinctual. I should be thanking you."
"Why?"
"Because you had Henry. I read up on childbirth to keep you and Henry safe, and I'm his godfather. If I didn't have this experience, or if you hadn't gotten pregnant, then I wouldn't have read up on childbirth, and who knows what would've happened. I know the medics made it in good time, but they would've needed to get past Tanner Johnson to help."
"Let's not argue about how everything happened," JJ said as Will came into the living room.
"Alright."
"Can you do more magic?" Henry said.
"Only if Spencer wants to," Will said.
"Definitely," Spencer said and got down on the floor with Henry. "What should I do first?"
