Edward looked very stressed tonight. He was on the back to back calls since he had come back home. I saw him heating his dinner twice in the microwave and leaving it right there to attend another call.
I wasn't aware of all the projects in Cullen Inc., but I guess something really critical had come up today.
"Is this Microwave even working?" he asked in frustration when he came out of the office again and found that his food was cold, "I just heat it."
"That was around thirty minutes ago!" I said.
"Oh, I didn't realize that!" he said and turned on the Microwave again.
"You seem very stressed. Is there anything I can help?" I asked.
"I think we're going to lose the project Aspect to the Denali Inc." he said.
"What happened?" I asked.
He gave me the high level overview of the problem and soon we were discussing it in detail on the whiteboard in his home office.
"I think some of the damn mistakes are going to cost us millions." he said, "We're trying to figure out how can we save this."
"Hmmm yeah, it seems difficult." I said as I noticed the mess on the whiteboard. I could see why he was so upset!
"Riley Biers..." I highlighted on Riley's name after we discussed few more things. "If we can get his firm onboard, I think our position will be really strong."
"Already tried that." he said, "They won't be able to get onboarded so late."
"Riley is Rosalie's second cousin and they're on really good terms with each other. I can check with Rose if something could be done." I said.
"Call her now." he said.
We spent the next hour talking to Rosalie and Riley, and well, the things had started to look positive!
"Thanks, Bella. Really, I couldn't have asked for a better partner!" he bent his head to kiss me, "Let me follow-up on this. I'll be back soon." He quickly kissed me one more time before he left the room to make another call.
This was the first time he had stolen a kiss, and well, I liked it!
