Rosalie Hale
[Author's Note: Hey pals. Hope you're having an excellent week. Here's a little hint at what's to come. And also sorry this one is so long. I was going to cut it into two separate chapters but I'm too excited to get to the party sooo. I didn't. lol]
Without any precipitation, the night was incredibly quiet with only a soft wind whistling against the tower windows. Bella slept soundlessly, only occasionally murmuring whispered words or releasing small whimpers as she readjusted against Rosalie. The vampire stroked her spine very softly, gentle enough not to wake her, and she existed in a state of bliss for nearly the entire night.
That is until early that next morning.
Rosalie had nearly become accustomed to hearing the human's soft noises now, having listened to them for several hours two nights in a row. So when the brunette's whimpers turned to sighs and, eventually, to moans, Rosalie was suddenly very alert.
Bella's hands clasped the fabric on the back of the vampire's dress, her body pressing against the other woman's, her breathing suddenly heavy. "Mm," she huffed, "yes..please Rosalie.." She moaned breathlessly. "Please.."
Initially, Rosalie did her very best to ignore her. The tension between them had been extreme and she didn't blame Bella for entertaining her fantasies but.. it was incredibly hard to listen to, though she listened anyway. Hearing Bella say her name.. like that.. How could she not listen? Her expression of ecstasy was delicious.. But feeling her claw and pull at Rosalie.. that was too much.
Gingerly, the vampire lay her on the bed beside her. The blanket having been kicked off during the night exposed a large portion of Bella's sculpted abdomen. She was extraordinarily fit all over.. Rosalie's eyes began with her beautiful sleeping face, her smooth throat, a thin tee covering muscular shoulders, those abs and… As Rosalie scanned the brunette's form, Bella moved, still sighing and one of her perfectly toned thighs fell to the side.
Rosalie closed her eyes, sucked in a breath and reminded herself who she was and why she couldn't just.. just throw herself at Bella. She had to wait.. she had to take her time, she had to.. She began to quietly hum, hoping it would distract her. It didn't. Her eyes opened and went directly to the brunette's incredibly adorable panties and she groaned when she saw that the thin strip of fabric was glistening with wetness. "Goddamn," she mouthed, one hand drifting to the smaller woman's hip, her self control waning.
There were several decades where Rosalie reigned as a seductress. She and a companion of hers would bet on who could woo the most women. Rosalie always won. She was quite charming.. And she'd had enough women throw themselves at her that she considered herself rather skillful too. She knew with acute certainty that what she could do to Bella would be better than anything the brunette could ever fantasize. She could take her somewhere beyond thought where only passion existed.. And it would be easy, Rosalie mused, to woo her.. Bella would wake with a kiss and immediately be ready to go further.. She would beg for Rosalie..plead. And when Rosalie slipped her fingers inside of her, Bella would thank her.. She would weep for her.
The blonde's hand hovered over Bella's waist, her fingertips dying to touch the band of the thong, to pull them down to.. To.. Rosalie sucked in a breath and closed her eyes again. She had to get a hold of herself. She wasn't ready to do that because she knew if she gave in.. she'd go too fast, she'd go too hard.. She'd hurt her, bruise her, break her.. She'd been with plenty of women before but they'd all been vampire women. She couldn't take Bella like that; she couldn't take her tonight.. But she had to do something.
She opened her eyes again, leaned down over Bella and spoke into her ear. "Bella..Babydoll.. Wake up.." She felt a wave of lust crash over her when the brunette moaned again, tilting her chin, exposing her throat. She swallowed, shook her head and then put her hand on Bella's shoulder and began to gently shake her. "Bella," she tried again, "Isabella Swan." Her voice came out as more of a growl.
The brunette murmured and then her eyelids fluttered open. She was out of breath, her chest still rising and falling with each labored inhale. Momentarily she was confused, no doubt as a combination of the dream and Rosalie's frustration. Then, catching her breath she asked, "What's the matter?" Her eyes searched Rosalie's face, "Rose.. Are you okay?"
"I'm okay yes," the vampire replied, struggling to keep her tone even, "but I won't be if you keep moaning in my ear."
"Moaning?" Bella's jaw dropped and her eyes flooded with realization. "Ohmygod my dream.."
"Your dream," the blonde repeated. "Yes, your dream."
"I wasn't, um, saying things out loud was I?"
"You weren't exactly speaking. But you said my name and.. Please."
"Ohmygod." Even in the darkness, the park ranger's bright red blush was obvious. She reached down and fixed her shirt where it had ridden up and then, glancing down at herself, her eyes widened. "Oh fuck," she reached for the blankets and pulled them up over her legs. "I need pants. This is your fault for telling me to take them off."
"It's my fault? How is it my fault, Little Bell? "
"Well they were about you," came the human's excited rebuttal. "I didn't mean to get so.. So worked up."
"You mean you didn't mean to get so wet."
Bella bit her lip and the vampire growled under her breath. "Goddammit Bella," she muttered, "don't do that. Don't bite your lip." It was undeniable how out of sorts Bella made Rosalie feel. She'd come so insanely close to disconnecting, to walking the line between control and.. Whatever lay behind it. Her head was spinning. She didn't understand how she was doing it, but the small brunette laying beside her was doing something to her. In her 87 year immortal life, Rosalie had never felt so utterly dismantled.
"It is your fault though," Bella argued quietly. "You drive me crazy. I spend all day thinking about you and then all night wrapped up in your arms and you make me crazy. I barely think of anything but you. And the way you pet me and hold me and speak to me. Can you blame me for.. For fantasizing in my dreams?" The park ranger looked incredibly sheepish when she finished and her bottom lip now was formed into an irresistible pout.
"I don't blame you," Rosalie replied, knowing she'd be doing the exact same if she slept. "It's just new and I wasn't prepared for it." She narrowed her eyes and fixed Bella in an intense gaze. "Don't pout. I can't handle that either." She expelled the last of her anxiety and pulled the brunette back into her embrace. In response, she sighed happily.
"I'm sorry," Bella said again, softer, her voice muffled against Rosalie's shoulder.
"Don't be sorry," the vampire cooed then, much calmer than she had been a few moments sooner. "It's not like I hated it." She slid her hand up the back of Bella's shirt and began to softly rub that tender spot again and smiled when the brunette eased into her arms. "I do need to know though," she asked, "do you do sports Bella?"
"Yoga," came the response, "and Pilates."
"You're really fit."
"Do you like that?" Bella asked her, "Do you like fit girls?"
"I like you Little Bell." She paused and then admitted, "But yes, I like that."
A few moments tumbled by tumultuously and then the brunette asked, her voice a whisper. "How badly do you want to see how fit I really am?"
Had she asked that even a minute sooner, Rosalie would have toppled over into infinity. But she was past that. She was on a new level of self control. "Very badly," she answered, "more than you could even begin to know. Just not yet." She found Bella's temple with her lips and spoke the next few words against them. "I'm determined to do all the right things with you Bella Swan. To give you the respect you deserve. And I know you want it because," she kissed softly, "I can feel desire radiating all through you. I can smell it on your skin. I can taste it in the air. This tension between us is palpable, Bella, I can touch it." She snaked her other hand up the back of the human's shirt too, wanting to feel more of her warmth. "But I want to be in control when I act," she told her, "And before anything else, I want to kiss you first."
"When?"
"Soon."
They faded back into silence, though the tension remained at least partially. Rosalie could feel heat radiating off of Bella's skin, pushing through the vampire's dress and seeping into her cool skin. Nothing felt better than touching her, feeling her. The vampire lay marveling in it all until Bella fell asleep and she felt a hush of relaxation fall over them.
It wasn't until a knock at the door woke Bella up that either of them moved again. Her eyes were wide and her tone was anxious when she asked, "Who?"
"Alice," Rosalie revealed, "it's okay. You're safe. I won't let anyone hurt you."
Bella's eyes were still worried. "I.. I don't have any pants on."
"That's okay," the vampire purred, "come here." She pulled Bella to her, so that she was sitting up, her body leaned against Rosalie, her legs draped over the vampire's. Rosalie fixed the blanket so it lay draped over both of them. Then, rubbing her palms up and down Bella's arm to calm her she said in an even voice, "Come in Alice."
The lock turned and the door opened and the petite, short haired vampire came dancing into Watchtower 515 holding a steaming paper cup of coffee. She brought the beverage to Bella and put it into her hands, turning then to go to the desk and flip on the small lamp. She took the desk chair, angled it so that it was facing the bed and then took a seat elegantly upon it.
"Good morning Bella," she sang, "Rosalie. Have I mentioned how good you two look together?"
"What do you want?" Rosalie asked her, her tone pleasant but her patience dissolving. She wanted to be alone with Bella again, she wanted to test her resolve one more time before she had to leave for the day. "Why are you here, Alice?"
"To bring Bella coffee," the sprite-like vampire replied cheerfully, "and to see my beautiful sister and her new..friend." Alice winked. "And to swoon at the sheer romance of it all."
"And?"
"I had a vision, Rosalie," she finally revealed. "You are going to throw a party here in Forks. As soon as I saw it I knew it had to be for Bella just based on how happy you looked and-" she sighed enthusiastically, "it's a birthday party."
"Bella's birthday is on Sunday," Rosalie told her.
"Bella," Alice said sternly, "I can't believe you didn't tell me that your birthday is on Sunday. Were you even going to tell us before it happened?"
"Probably not," Rosalie quipped, still petting Bella's arm with one hand, the other slipping beneath the sheet to rest easily on Bella's thigh, the brunette huffing quietly in response. "And don't feel bad, Alice. Bella didn't tell me either. I had to get the information from Charlie."
"Charlie," Alice repeated, her tone amused, musical.. "Do you mean Carlisle's new best friend Charlie?"
Bella lowered the coffee cup, her chin raised probably in an effort to ignore the vampire's hand as her fingertips began to gently stroke. "Um, my dad is best friends with your dad?"
"Yes," Rosalie confirmed. It was innocent. She was just so smooth and soft and warm..
"Best friends forever," Alice sang.
"How?" Bella asked. She leaned her head against Rosalie's, her heart rate rapidly increasing. The vampire hid a small smirk.
"Your father is the chief of police," Alice explained cheerfully, "and ours is the new head doctor at Forks Hospital. Their paths were destined to cross." She smiled and her eyes twinkled. "But we digress. The party. I need all the details from you Rosalie. And Bella?"
The brunette's eyes had fallen to the blanket where, beneath, Rosalie had begun to draw patterns on the inner side of her left thigh. "Hmm?"
"I'm going to need a list of all the people you want to invite." She rose from her chair and returned it to the desk. Then she said, "But I won't keep you. I just wanted to stop by while I could get both of you together. Now that I have and I've seen how perfect you two look together I really want to get back to Edward and remind myself how perfect we look together as well. You can send the list with Rosalie, okay Bella?"
The brunette nodded without speaking. Alice blew them both kisses, flipped off the light and disappeared into the night.
"That's very distracting," Bella said, still leaning against Rosalie, breathing a little heavier than she had been. "It's hard to understand what your sister is asking me when you're.. You're touching me."
"I understand that," the vampire purred, taking the coffee from Bella and then moving her to lay flat on the bed. "But if you want me to touch you, I'm going to need to practice first."
They settled back together then, Bella loosely in Rosalie's arms, the vampire tracing patterns on her upper thigh, humming quietly into her ear.
