Her apple scent filled his nose. He blocked out the copper of her blood and focused on the sweet fruity smell that she always carried with her. She shifted to rest the bridge of her nose on his throat, bringing his head up to look around them. It was the final battle and Cora had lost. Good had won, but it wasn't without causalities.

Regina sat in bed, watching the two men in her life walk out. The further they got, the smaller her smile became, and the tighter her chest seemed to feel. She reached up and rubbed the skin over her heart, frowning as the feeling only got worse and worse with each passing second. She couldn't help but feel like they were never coming back.

"Mom? Emma?" "No!" Emma cried out as she opened her eyes and saw Regina sit up and turn towards the door, the Mother in her instantly coming to life. The blonde pounded her fists on the bed underneath her and tears gathered in her eyes at being so close to having all her tension melt away under Regina's unsurprisingly magical tongue. "Yes Henry?"

He gazed the worn, barely-held-together bear with a scrunched face, trying to remember if it had indeed been his at some point. Eventually he slowly shook his head. "No, I don't think so." He then shrugged and started to leave the room, throwing his blonde Mother a quick, "Maybe it's Mom's." before going down the stairs to set up the table.

Bedtime Series 13: Pricking her finger, Regina let a drop of blood fall into the potion she mixed together. Instantly the clear water became murky before a blue coloring tinted the outer edges of the bowl. Regina dropped her head onto her crossed arms that resting on the counter top. The tests of this world and that of the last confirmed what Regina already knew.

"I forgot to wash my socks. I figured you wouldn't mind if I stole a pair of yours." Emma shrugged. The newly reinstated Mayor closed her eyes and breathed out before looking down at the bronze chip in her hand. The once sharp numbers were now cracked with age, showing how long it's been since Regina received her eight year chip. "It's my AA recovery chip."

"She obviously knows what that potion does and doesn't want her son to see the effects. She's a lot of things, but a bad Mother isn't one of them. If she doesn't want the kid in here, it's for a good reason." Emma looked at Henry, not so surprised to see tears in his eyes as he stared to his Mother. "Henry." The boy sniffled and turned to look at her. "Go wait in the hall please."

Emma saw her eyes clear for a moment as she only just saw what she and Cora were doing, but the wall, as damaged as it was, shielded her once more. "I'm sorry for taking Henry. I'm sorry that my Mother told your secret. I'm sorry no one ever fought for you. I'm sorry that…that I didn't try to love you, like you tired to love me." But you're true love was Daniel.
