I woke up dizzily and started to panic as I saw that I was in complete darkness. I remember reading some Harry Potter fanfictions and going to sleep in my bed as always. But I've ended up in some sort of dark void. Suddenly a blue box appeared in front of me.

Getting confused, I tried to guess my name, but I couldn't come up with it. I don't remember who my parents are. I know I have a sister but her face is blurry and her name is not clear. But surprisingly I was clam. It was as if my mind didn't want to panick. I realised that I held no hold to my past world. So I looked back at the box.

I selected Harry Potter knowing that I have most knowledgeable of it. I was a Potterhead as many call it. I've read many fictions alongside the canon.

I have played Dungeons and Dragons along with other RPG games, So I knew how it works. I was always sceptical about how Harry was able to defeat Voldemort at 17. I mean he didn't have any training in dueling and he didn't learn extraordinary magic, whereas Voldemort was a 70 year old dark lord who went deep into Dark Arts and studied whatever he could. The plot armour had always protected Harry. The screen flashed again and the writing changed.

There were many perks listed and some of them quite tempting. I chose [Parsel tongue] that would permanently give me the ability to speak to snakes because I still wanted the ability after the horcrux in me was removed. [Occlumency] was next. It didn't give be perfect shields or anything. It just gave me basic shields that could prevent passive scans and hold back an average wizard from reading my mind. I would have to continue to develop this skill till I have perfect shields through meditation. The last one was [Eidetic Memory] . It would allow me to remember everything that I read, see or hear. Satisfied, I selected these three perks.

'Ouch'. My head was hurting. Memories flood into my mind and I used Occlumency to sort them. Going through them I realised that I have memories of Harry Potter till he was 10 including the ones with his mother and father, before they were dead. Checking again I saw that I had my memories of my previous life but still no mention of my name. Looking around I noticed that I was in my cupboard, wel Harry's cupboard, but now I guess it's mine.
"Status" I said quietly. A blue screen popped up.

'Dang it' I knew that Harry was Malnourished, but his strength, dexterity and endurance are very low. I would need to level up fast before hogwarts. Atleast I have Intelligence and Wisdom. My charm is low, so I need to look good to impress people.

'Gladly' But before that I checked if I had the Inventory option. I did. So that will allow me to store food there. I had to cook for those pigs anyway, so it would be easy to take some into my inventory. My Aunt knocked loudly on the cupboard door and ordered me to cook after unlocking my door. I went to the kitchen. Vernon was reading newspaper, Dudley was sleeping since it was summer vacation, Aunt Petunia went to wake him up. Taking the opportunity, I touched some snacks and thought Inventory. And it vanished infront of my eyes. After ensuring that Uncle Vernon didn't see, I took some bacon and started cooking. There was enough snacks in the fridge that no body would notice if some went missing. Petunia would think that Dudley ate those.

Since it was summer vacation, I will be given chores around the house. And later I would be lent out to neighbours so that I could offer my services to them. But some did give me money like 5 pounds. During previous summers, Dudley and his gang would steal it from me, but now I could just put it in my inventory. If there's no work for anyone, then I would be let out on my own saying not to comeback before dinner, as they didn't want to tolerate my presence more than necessary. I planned on practicing magic and work out during that time, as I wanted to build up strength and some form of offence. I knew martial arts from my previous life, but it would be of less use as my body was weak. I then was allowed to take care of my daily needs. I went to take a bath. Afterwards, I pulled on some of Dudley's castoffs which was my only dress.

I got down and wanted to groan hearing the call.
"BOY! Come here now"
Vernon's voice rang through the house. Clad in his business suit, he waited at the doorway with one eye on his gaudy watch.
Harry sighed. 'Let's see what the whale has drudged up for me to do in this summer'
"Coming uncle"
"Listen up boy, summer has started and I don't want to see you lazing around. You have to earn your keep here. I have talked to the neighbours and you will be doing chores for them like last year."
Vernon growled softly before turning to leave.
"And you better do a good job. One complaint and you will be back in your cupboard with no food for the rest of the summer. Am I clear?"
"Yes, Uncle Vernon" I bobbed my head.
'I hope I get some quests on these chores.' I sighed 'Well it's going to be a long summer.'
