Bella hugged her arms around her as she stood on Elena's front porch. Elena and Jeremy's aunt was in Mckinley for the weekend, so it was just them. She can't believe that she killed Vicki. She hadn't gone home yet, she wasn't to make sure that Elena and Jeremy were okay, but after what just happened, she wasn't sure any of them were okay. Her shoulders were bare from the dress she still wore and she shivered lightly when the air chilled around her.
Damon walked up on the porch, coming to stand behind her. "It's not your fault."
"I feel like it is." Bella said, not turning to look at Damon, but she could tell he was standing close to her.
"You couldn't predict this any better than any of us." Damon said.
"Damon, I knew that she was out there. I just… maybe I shouldn't have even gone to that stupid ball."
Damon was quiet a moment. "It's not your fault." He said. "Someone turned Vicki. They did it without a care. Stefan was out there looking for her too. We were all- "
Bella turned then and looked at Damon, her dark eyes consuming his bright blue ones. "But I'm the one that killed her. Me, Damon. I did that and Jeremy and Elena were there to watch. Elena is hurt, because of Vicki. Because I fed Vicki my blood because I was testing a theory that I had, that couldn't possibly even be real." She said, her voice emotional.
Damon reached up a hand, placing it on her cheek softly. "You didn't kill Vicki. She died the moment she was turned. Whether she fed on your blood or not, she was already dead. I'm already dead… so is Stefan."
Bella shook her head. "I don't believe that. Damon, you are alive and here with me. Regardless of what, you are, I still believe that- "
Damon leaned down, his mouth covering hers, making her stop short. It was meant to be jus a simple kiss, but Bella kissed him back, surprising herself and him. His hands dropped, going to her waist and he pulled her against him, his tongue probing hers now as they kissed each other, very passionately. But he pulled away suddenly, moving away from her and turning his back.
Bella blinked in confusion, not sure why he stopped, but the front door opened and Elena stepped out. Her shoulder was bandaged from where Bella had bandaged it earlier, but she hadn't cleaned up yet. "Elena." She murmured, turning her attention to Elena now.
"Um… Jeremy he uh… is in so much pain." Elena said, swallowing back tears. "I don't know what to do or say. He loved Vicki so much, and now…"
"I'm so sorry Elena." Bella said, genuinely concerned.
"Vicki… she was… she was a vampire." Elena said the words out loud and they sounded bizarre as they left her lips.
Damon turned, blowing out a breath. "She was. She had just been turned. Blood lust can be hard for new vamps."
Elena looked at Damon. "And, you're a vampire?"
"Yes." Damon said. "It's not a secret that I pass around, so you'll forgive me if I'm not so forthcoming." He said.
Elena nodded but looked back at Bella. "She couldn't stop herself?"
Bella shook her head. "No. Stefan was trying to find her and bring her back somewhere safe. But…"
"Jeremy… he's never going to get over this. Not after losing our parents and now this…"
"I can make him forget…. I can take away the pain." Damon offered.
Elena frowned, sniffing a little. "What?"
"It's a gift. I can take away his suffering Elena. If that's what you want." Damon said, looking at Bella before he looked back at Elena.
"Does it hurt?" Elena asked.
Damon shook his head. "It doesn't."
"Okay." Elena agreed and opened the door and walked inside.
Damon came to stand at the threshold. "Um. You have to invite me inside." He said simply.
Elena nodded. "Come inside." She said, her voice cracking a little and Damon went inside and walked up the stairs towards Jeremy's room.
Bella walked to Elena and stopped in front of her. "I wish that I could have done something different."
"You saved my life." Elena said. "Vicki could have…."
Bella swallowed. "But I still killed a person." She said and looked away.
"Bella… I'm sorry."
"You shouldn't be sorry."
"But I am. You were helping, and… things just didn't go the way it should have." Elena said, wiping a tear that slid down her cheek. "Coach Tanner… he wasn't killed by an animal… was he?"
Bella shook her head. "No. I believe whoever turned Vicki, killed Coach Tanner. I don't know who is doing this, but I hope we can figure it out soon so people can stop being killed."
Damon walked back down the stairs, looking to Elena. "It's done."
"Thank you…" Elena murmured, and Damon gave her a nod before looking back at Bella.
"I'm going to go home and change…" Bella said. "Do you want me to stay with you tonight?"
Elena shook her head. "No. I just want to shower and be alone. I have a lot to process."
"I can make you forget too." Damon offered.
Elena was quiet for a few moments. "No. I… can handle this. I'll be okay." She said and she wasn't sure when she said it, but she didn't want to have her memory wiped because now things made sense to her, with how Bella had been lately and with the mysterious animal attacks. "Thank you though."
Damon just nodded and he left, stopping out on the front porch. He waited until Bella joined him outside.
"Will Jeremy be okay?" Bella asked.
"He'll be okay." Damon reassured and then looked at her. "Are you okay?"
Bella swallowed. "I'm not sure yet." She said. "Can you… can you take me home please?" She asked, her dark eyes watching him. She was tired, with all the events of the night. She needed to shower and change then hopefully get some sleep. She assumed Stefan was taking Vicki somewhere safe away from being discovered by the people there in Mystic Falls, so she didn't question it.
Bella walked in her house, Damon behind her. He shut the door quietly and then stood there, watching her, curious as to why he was so drawn to her. He had other things to be worried about, but he was inserting himself into high school drama and issues, when he had a plan already in place. A plan that he shouldn't stray from, but for some reason, Bella made him stray.
"Say something." Damon finally said, the quiet causing some slight uneasiness.
"There's a lot I have to learn." Bella admitted. "You made Jeremy forget tonight, the pain. This is with the compulsion?"
"It is." Damon said. "Bella, you don't need to internalize anything. You need to talk it out. Maybe Stefan should-"
Bella cut him off. "Stefan is taking care of Vicki." She said and turned and looked at him. "I shouldn't be angry with him. The secret he kept… wasn't…"
"But you feel betrayed." Damon finished for her and walked over to her, stopping to stand in front of her. Her eyes drew up to his and he held her stare. She was beautiful, just like Katherine. But she was nothing like Katherine. Somehow, she was better. He leaned in, his mouth covering hers again like he had on Elena's porch. He tasted her, his tongue rushing over hers, his hands finding her hips.
Bella leaned into Damon, her eyes fluttered closed as she kissed him back. Her heart sped up and her brain tried to shut down on her, but she tried to hold back. Tears threatened now and she pulled away from Damon, turning her back on him.
"What's wrong?" Damon asked, his brows furrowing.
"I can't be like this with you." Bella said, her voice wavering. "I owe it to Stefan to not repeat his past. I owe it to you too."
"You think that it matters to me?" Damon asked. "You think that history repeating itself is even a thought at this moment?"
Bella sniffed, fighting back tears. "It's not fair."
Damon shook his head. "Life isn't fair." He said, his tone a little clipped.
Bella frowned and looked at him. "Why are you upset with me?"
"I'm not the hero." Damon said, taking a step toward her. "I don't do the right things. I'm not the good guy Bella."
"I don't…. I don't understand."
Damon's eyes were intense. "I don't think about consequences and I don't care about them. Stefan isn't even a thought in my head right now. You are. I know that you like this too, because I can tell by the way your heart speeds up." He took a step forward, getting closer to her and she backed up slightly. He kept doing this until he backed her against the wall. "I can tell, by your very scent, how aroused you are when my lips touch yours. You want me. Admit it."
Bella stared up at him. "And if I don't?"
"Then I'd say you're not being truthful to yourself." Damon said, his hands going to her hips and sliding up her sides. She shivered under his touch, her body responding, even if she didn't intend for it to. "You want me to rip this dress off you and take you to new heights. I can ravish you… make you feel things, I know you haven't felt before." His eyes were seductive and so was his voice.
Bella stared up at him, knowing that every bit of what he was saying, was true. There was a desire there, but would that be betrayal? Her and Stefan were on a break. So she could think things through and figure out how she felt about the situation. Did that mean that she should run to Damon? His older brother and repeat a cycle that the two already endured with Katherine?
"So?" Damon asked, his brow raised.
Bella bit her lip, thinking about the consequences, as Damon's hands moved over her body more, brushing behind her to the zipper on her dress and he unzipped her, the dress loosening and drifting lower. She swallowed, her heart rate spiking from excitement and he took the sign to go. He let the dress unzip all the way and fall to the floor. She stood there in front of him in just her panties and bra now. Their eyes never left each other, as he reached and unsnapped her bra next, letting it fall away. Her breast were perfectly plump, begging for him to taste them, but he stayed as he was, staring her down. "Take me upstairs." She murmured finally, her heart nearly leaping out of her chest.
Damon did as she said, taking her in his arms and moving her upstairs quickly, tossing her on her bed, her breast bouncing beautifully as he pulled his shirt off over his head and then stepped out of his pants. He pulled her panties off in one swift movement, before his mouth seized hers again, their bodies naked in the bed now. His hands ignited her, her throaty moans, sending chills through Damon even. His mouth moved over her body, her breast, sucking a nipple in his mouth, getting a gasp from her, his hands playing with her, rubbing over her clit, stimulating her towards her peak. He traveled his mouth down lower, nipping at her hip, before his tongue found it's playground in her folds, getting more gasps and moans from her as he savored her, tasting every part of her. Her hips shifted to his mouth as he drove her towards her first orgasm. Her hands finding their way through his hair, moaning as his tongue did incredible dances over her little nub.
"Oh!" She gasped as the sensation flooded her, her orgasm breaching the surface and it was intense. She shook, her body vibrating with pleasure.
Damon smirked, his fangs coming to the surface, but he leaned back, his fingers playing with her as he watched the pleasure play over her face.
Bella looked at him, the darkening veins under his eyes signaling a different type of arousal and she suddenly wanted to know what it felt like to be bit. "Damon!" She moaned as his fingers pushed her orgasm farther. "Do it! Bite me! Please!" She called out.
Damon smiled, his mouth going back down, his tongue flicking over her more as she purred more with the pleasure he was giving her. He shifted his mouth to the inside of her thigh, finding the right place, and he sunk his fangs in, piercing her. Her blood hit his tongue and it was sweet, filling him with incredible energy. He moved his mouth away, moving up her body, his hard cock dripping to taste her as well. He pressed the tip against her folds before sliding inside, gathering more moans from her. He pushed all the way inside, feeling how she quivered around him, her fluids rushing over him again. He thrust into her deep and fast, jolting her with every push, as she moaned more, like a continuous roller coaster of emotion.
Bella felt like her entire body was alive, drinking in the pleasure like she longed for this sort of pleasure. He made her feel things that she hadn't felt before and when he bit into her, it felt amazing, sending her spiraling and wanting more. She leaned up suddenly as he moved inside her, her mouth finding his. Their tongues meshed together and she tasted herself, but it didn't matter to her. He moaned against her mouth as his cock tightened inside her. His thrusts grinding into her, making her shutter again, she threw her head back, her neck exposed and Damon moved his mouth there, kissing her first before his fangs pierced the surface. Her blood filling him. He only sipped, knowing better than to drink too much. He moved his mouth away from her neck as he felt himself getting closer and closer.
"Damon!" She moaned out as another orgasm rippled through her and she squeezed around his hard cock. It sent him spiraling then and she felt him thrust deep inside her, his cock pulsing as he emptied himself.
Damon moaned, resting his forehead to hers, as they stayed locked together. He hadn't felt like this, not for a long time and he wasn't sure if he would ever be able to resist her again. He could hear how hard her heart was working, pounding in her chest and her breathing was still labored from their encounter. What they shared, was extraordinary and he knew that she felt it then too.
Bella whimpered when he slid out of her and it made him grin, as he lay her back on the bed. Her neck was bleeding a little, but it wasn't too bad. Her thigh was fine, he had been neater there. Her heart was calming down, while she lay there, reeling from the encounter.
Damon lay next to her in her bed, the silence falling around them. He wondered what she was thinking, but he didn't get a chance to ask because she settled in the bed next to him, her body relaxing and she was asleep. He smiled, looking over at her sleeping face. He shifted, pulling the covers up over them and he turned on his side to face her completely. He watched her for a while, thinking about what happened tonight and with her, before he found himself sleeping too.
