The Watcher saw as Peter was making his way back home as he did a hundred times before. But today was different. Because it's the day that he finally gains his power.

"The metamorphosis had begun to take place." The Watcher monologues as Peter started to become very jumpy at every slight noise. "Peter Allen was finally becoming the hero he needed to be."

Peter kept trying to make it home, feeling he was still shaken up from the near-death experience earlier today. As he kept going, he felt something wrong just as a neighbor dog came up and barked at him.

Peter was usually okay with this, it is an everyday occurrence, but today the barking felt like a police siren going off right in his ear. He was distraught by it so much he tripped and fell against a nearby car. That ended up causing the alarm to go off and Peter to cover his ears from the noise.

"Hey." Someone called, getting Peter to look up and see someone with rose-red hair wearing a small hat in her hair. Short cut-up jeans, wearing a matching jean jacket that was cut at the shoulders and a long-sleeved multicolor sweater under it. "You okay?"

"I...I don't know." Peter told her, feeling like his head is going to explode.

"You need some help there?" She asked him.

"Please," Peter begged her, and she kneeled and held her hand out so he could take it and lifted him off the ground. "Thank you."

"Don't mention it." She told him as she started to help him get home. "You live nearby?"

"A few more houses," Peter said and gestured to his home.

"Okay. I can get you there. I live a few houses down so I was heading this way myself." She assured him. "I'm Mary."

"Peter." Peter introduced himself to her.

"Nice to meet you, Peter," Mary said as she helped Peter up and got him home. "Think you can take it from here?"

"Yeah. Yeah. I'm good." Peter promised and walked upward to the steps and made his way inside.

Once he made it inside, his head started to buzz, and closing the door sounded like an explosion to his ears. Walking into the living room, he saw that Aunt May and Anna May were in the living room.

"Hey," Peter called as he walked in.

"Oh my god." May sighed as she ran over and hugged him. "I was so worried."

"I know. I'm sorry." Peter apologized when he felt something coming and reacted. "Watch out!" He called out and grabbed whatever it was that caused him to react only to discover it was just a fly. Staring down at it, Peter wondered what he was doing with this and how he was able to catch it.

"That's a fly, Peter," May mentioned.

Peter just let it go, as he had no idea what just happened and started to become jittery. "I'm sorry I kept you worried. I'm insensitive. I'm irresponsible." He pecked May on the cheek. "And I'm hungry."

Peter made his way over to the kitchen, an unquenched hunger rising in him. He made it in the fridge and started to unwrap the leftovers and started to eat it cold.

May was getting concerned and looked over to Anna May. "You think he's on something?"

Anna May nodded her head negatively, knowing Peter wasn't the type of kid to do things like that. "I don't think so."

"This is your turkey meatloaf," Peter said in joy as he chowed down on the meatloaf. "This beats all other meatloaves."

"Something is seriously wrong," May whispered.

"Yeah. Nobody likes turkey meatloaf." Anna May agreed with her on that part.

May look over to her, taking her eyes off of Peter for a second. It was shocking when she turned back, Peter was carrying an entire family's worth of food and walked upstairs with it. Balancing it all in his arms and didn't drop anything on his way up.

"Did...did he take the frozen Mac and cheese?" May questioned, wondering if she saw that correctly.

"I...I think so." Anna May replied, no idea what to make of that.

Peter went to the bathroom and washed his face, trying to cool down. When he looked in the mirror, he noticed something on his neck.

Reaching down on it, he discovered it was a sort of spider web. Trying to find where it was located, he discovered it was attached to the back of his neck. Pulling on it, it detached from a hole on his neck, causing Peter to wince in pain as he dragged the web out and discovered that there was a spider attached to the web.

Across the city, Barry Allen was unconscious and being treated in the hospital with his foster father watching over him as the tv was going on about robberies in Starling City.

Iris came in and saw that Joe is staying awake and had a coffee. "Dad, it's been a week. You barely eat or sleep. You should go home."

"I'll go home when Barry does," Joe stated.

Just as he said that Barry started to flatline and the doctors evacuated the room and had no idea how he was seizing without a heart rate. As Joe watched the doctors fail to save him, a figure approached him in a wheelchair.

"They can't save him." Harrison Wells called to Joe, who looked over to him. "But I can."

"I know who you are." Joe recognizes him easily. "You're that scientist that Barry's obsessed with, the one who blew a hole in the city."

"Harrison Wells." Harrison greeted him. "And interestingly enough, my facility is the very place I would like to take him."

"You're out of your mind," Joe stated.

"I'm not gonna try and convince you with promises," Harrison said as he moved his wheelchair over towards him. "But, Detective, give me a chance.'

"I think we already know what you're capable of, Doctor. You hurt a lot of people that night." Joe stated dead set on not letting him touch his kid.

"So those doctors in there are good enough?" Harrison asked as he looked in the room and saw they were all struggling to learn what was going on with Barry. "The best in the city, best in the country? Look at them. They have no clue of what's going on with him. They're baffled, and the reason for that is what's happening inside Barry is a mystery and they don't have the tools to solve it."

"But you do?" Joe questions.

"That's right," Wells confirmed. "Millions of people used to look at my lab, and what did they see? They saw the future. Well, let me take that technology, let me take that know-how into ensuring that your son actually does have a future. Detective. Let me save him."

Joe looked inside the labs and saw how they were struggling to save Barry and didn't know what they were doing with Barry in this case.

"Then save him." Joe gave in and pleaded.

Connors was resting in his home, sound asleep at his desk with the flu of sorts when he was awoken by something. STAR Labs was shut down, so he never got to see the end of the experiment to see if it even worked. He felt a pain serving through his body as he woke up and rose his arm up. But to his amazement, he was stopped.

When Connors looked down, he noticed there was a cocoon wrapped around his regrown arm. He tore off the cocoon to see that there was indeed a new arm in the place of his stumped arm.

Shock emerged through him as he reached down and picked up a pin with his hand and poked himself with it. To his joy, there was pain from the pin, and he laughed.

The noise seemed to attract his wife's attention as when he did laugh, Martha came in and was surprised to see her husband with both limbs.

"I..." Martha whispered as she took his hand and felt it across her own. "I can't believe it!"

"It worked," Connors said in joy as he hugged his wife with both arms.

But what Connors missed were the scales that were already forming underneath the sleeve of his arm.

The next morning, Peter was awoken by his alarm, and he reacted by swinging his fist around his bed and immediately crushing the alarm with one swing before going back to bed.

Later on, Peter finally got up and started to use the bathroom, going to brush his teeth when he squeezed the paste too hard somehow and sent it spraying on the mirror.

Peter took no meaning and was too tired to care about that. He just wiped some off and went to activate the water. Except he somehow lightly tapped it, causing the handle to come off and water to explode everywhere.

Peter reacted and tried to reattach the handle, and when that didn't work, he just ended up placing the towels on top of it. Trying to get out to fix it, Peter grabbed the door handle and just ended up breaking it off.

Trying it again with the second handle, Peter carefully opened the door and sneaked out to fix the bathroom before May discovered it.
