The Watcher looked around as Central City was preparing for the holidays that were coming up. "The holidays. The season of giving and the time for loved ones to get together. But this holiday will change everything for Peter Allen. Starting with Maxwell Dillon...becoming Electro."

Max ran out of Jitters and as he did, electricity was blasting off him and being conducted around the metal and poles around him. As he kept running, several police cars stopped him, causing Max to stop and start to panic.

"Freeze!" Joe West cried out to him. "Get down!"

"Wait! Stop!" Max cried in fear as they tossed a few canisters over that started to release gas around him. But then, Max's powers started to raise the canisters and short themselves out. "Stop!"

Max seemed to have had enough of everything and sent a giant shockwave out across the street that sent cars flying. One of them flew and almost crushed Joe West when Peter came swinging in and grabbed the car before it could crush him.

Peter just ended up falling on his knee, amazed that he was able to even catch the car and wasn't even prepared to be able to hold the car like he is right now. "This could have gone so wrong so easily! I didn't even know I could do that."

Joe was just shocked at what he was seeing, the masked man who's been bringing criminals in holding a car as if it was nothing. Peter on the other hand wanted to put the car down and slowly placed it on the street before turning back to Max's back.

"Yo, Sparky!" Peter called, getting Max's attention as he turned around and Peter was shocked to see the STAR Labs janitor and electrician has turned into a... technical-powered being. "Oh my god...Max?"

Max looked confused as it seemed this masked man knew his name and he wondered how that was possible. "How do you know my name?"

Peter then realized he almost gave his own identity away by showing he knew this guy, but he should have no real relationship with him. "Uh...I'm familiar with your work. At STAR Labs."

"My work?" Max asked, confused as to how he would know him. "I was the janitor."

"Yes," Peter confirmed, seeing he's only digging a deeper hole for himself. "Listen, my point is, I'm here to help."

Max looked down at his hands and saw his fingers sparking electricity. "Strange." He then raised his hands and watched the electricity spark off his hands. "I've got so much energy...I feel powerful."

"Yeah, I know," Peter said as he slowly approached him. "I can see you don't know what's going on. I know how you feel. I had the same thing happen to me."

"It did?" Max asked him as Joe was overhearing their conversation and was shocked to hear all of this.

"Yeah, I know it's strange. But I can help you, I can help you control this." Peter assured him.

"You can?" Max asks as while they talked, nearby on a distant rooftop, a sniper got into position and aimed at Max.

"Yeah, why don't we go somewhere to talk? Away from all these people?" Peter asked as he gestured to the cops. "Because I'm not really on their good side, so it's best if we both got out of here as fast as we could."

"Okay." Max agreed as he took a step back and stepped into a puddle that instantly shocked him. That set the snipper off as they shot, only for the bullet to ricochet off of Max and cause him to grow angry. "I said stop!"

That is when Peter tried to stop him, and Max sent a giant blast of electricity at the sniper's roof and caused pieces of it to go flying. Peter jumped in and webbed his hand, trying to stop him only for his powers to travel up the web and shock him backward. Peter slammed into the side of the police car he recently stopped from crushing Joe and looked to see that he had scorched one of his web-shooters.

Max started to grow increasingly angry as he looked around at all of the officers around aiming at him and decided to fight back himself. "My turn!" He then blasted off several bolts of lightning that flew at the cops. That's when Peter jumped in and webbed several screens from the store that he was near, using one web shooter and spinning them around and smacking Max with them.

"Alright, Electro, time to unplug!" Peter cried as he ran in, only to allow Max to shock him and send Peter flying through the side of one of the buildings and landing on the roof. "Ow."

And as if his timing couldn't get any worse, that's when his phone went off and he looked to see it was May. Groaning, knowing he can't just let it go to voicemail, Peter answered it as he dodged all of the lightning bolts coming for him.

"Hey, Aunt May." Peter greeted as he leaped and landed on the side of a neighbor's building. "What's up?"

"I was just wondering if you would be home soon. Something is going on downtown." May explained and Peter saw she was worried for him.

"Yeah, I just thanked the Stacy's for dinner and am making my way home now," Peter said, most of that being mostly true and hid from behind a Buildboard. "But don't worry, I'll be home under the hour."

"Okay. I larb you." May told him.

Peter chuckled at the joke and sighed. "Larb you, too." Then he finally hung up and he was ready to get back at it. "Alright, Electro!" He leaped out from behind the board and looked around to see no sign of Max. "Oh...I'm alone."

With that, he shot his webbing to yank his camera over to him and made his leave before any of the officers tried to shoot at him with Max now out of the way.

After he made it home, May was relieved he was able to make it home okay. Luckily most of the injuries he gained during the fight just made him more fidgety. Nothing was really different.

The next day, he left home earlier than he would usually to look at the photos he took of himself and the fight. Only when he looked at it did he see that there's a camera flare from all of Max's blasts. Not only couldn't he help Max from going crazy, but he couldn't even get pictures of himself to sell to help his aunt.

Sighing in defeat, Peter rubbed his head and then looked down to his wrists where his new web-shooters were. He needed to work out a way to make them less magnetic if he was going to have to go against Max again. And from that look of anger and hunger last night, something made Peter think he would definitely need to be prepared for a rematch.

As he was thinking to himself, he suddenly felt the room temperature begin to drop drastically. He wondered if someone had opened the door and it was just a breeze and looked to the door and saw it was still close.

As he was facing the other way, his senses went off for some reason. Some guy came past him and there was a small spill on the floor that suddenly froze over, causing him to slip.

Peter reacted as he spun and caught him by the elbow. Once then, he grabbed his cup and directed his arm to catch the drink. Once the cup had filled up, the lip fell and landed on top of the cup. That action surprised a lot of people and even earned him small applause from the coffee shop.

"Whoa." The guy who he just saved both physically and financially said in shock. "How'd you do that?"

"I have amazing reflexes." Peter shrugged and handed him his cup as he helped him stand up. That's when he got a good look at the guy and started to recognize him. "Hey, aren't you Bobby Drake?"

"Yep," Bobby confirmed with a smile. "And I know you, Peter. We have Mr. Harrington's class together."

"That's right," Peter remembered as they've been going to the same school for a few years. "How you been?"

"Let's say...better." Bobby sighed, causing Peter to notice he had a visible breath. "My parents...they basically disowned me."

"Wait, what?" Peter asked in shock as he closed his computer. "Can they do that?"

Bobbie scoffed and rolled his eyes. "Leave it to them to figure it out."

"So... where have you been staying?" Peter wonders.

"I've been staying with my cousin," Bobby answered him. "She's pretty nice. But she's usually out, taking care of a special case-patient."

"Patient? She's a doctor?" Peter was curious to hear.

"Yeah," Bobby confirmed when he noticed the time. "Shoot. We gotta get going unless we wanna be late."

That's when Peter also noticed the time and agreed. "Oh, yeah, you're right." With that, he closed the computer and started to pack up. "Hey, you wanna...hang out after school or something sometime?"

"Sure." Bobby liked that idea and the two walked out of the door together and made their way to school.

The Watcher looked to see the two of them walk off and knew that this was one of the many moments that will define the hero. "More than battles won or lost, its relationships that truly define a hero."

He then looked through the multiverse to look at all of the other realities and relationships that Peter has had throughout all of the realities. In the original reality, when he met Ronnie and how he became his best friend. Later on, that relationship started to grow to the point that he meets Cisco, Caitlin, and Barry.

"The people who shape them, their stories."

In other realities, Peter meets Courtney Whitmore, setting the two of them on the path of becoming a team and friends...and possibly more.

"In this reality, Peter Allen becomes friends with the outcast known simply as Robert Drake." He then looks to other moments in history that led him to meet other people: Harry Osborn, Johnny Storm, all other branches that could have led them down different paths. But this is the path that he chose and only time would show how things pan out from there. "Cast out by his family, shunned for what he can do, Peter was going to learn there was more to Robert than what meets the eye. Cousin to the doctor looking after his brother, this relationship will begin light, but will be what causes a lot of...cold moments in his life."
