Spiderwitch2211 - ...yes? Sure, why not? Two birds, one stone.

That night after saving the bridge, Peter was back in bed, that little girl's name running in his mind. Then there was a storm happening outside, thunder seeming to slip its way into Peter's head.

"Nora!" Someone cried into his mind.

"Henry!" The cries of a panicked woman filled his head

He saw flashes, like literal flashes, of lightning running around the room and a man in a red suit standing over him. What was this? Some sort of memory?

"Run, Barry, run!"

Peter then gasped awake, looking around and wondering what he had just seen. Who are Barry, Henry, and Nora? Especially to him?

"Spider-Man has finally been given his name." The Watcher was happy to say. "Thanks to the help of one woman. This Mary woman would soon change Peter Allen's viewpoint of many things in his life. But only when she reveals who she is. But right now, the Lizard is his main concern...a friend who had been transformed with Peter's help."

The next day at school, Bobby showed off a paper from the Daily Bugle to show off how they have officially announced the name of the masked hero now known as Spider-Man.

"Spider-Man?" Bobby asked Peter as he and Gwen were sitting outside the school. "Not the name I would have gone with."

"I like it," Gwen admitted. "How'd you come up with it?"

"Just...a neighbor gave me the idea." Peter shrugged, knowing he should really learn where this Mary character lives. "Said it fits the whole spider theme I decided to go with."

Gwen nodded, understanding where he was coming from by going with the idea. "So... what was that thing on the bridge?"

"I'm not entirely sure," Peter admitted, getting to the new threat running around the city.

"Police say that they found lizard scales on the bridge," Peter said and started coming up with ideas. "Some...creature. I think it was created the same way I was."

"By a spider bite?" Gwen asks him.

"The accelerator," Peter explains and has an idea of how they could have been affected by lizard DNA. "And I might know where to start looking."

"What does the accelerator have to do with this?" Bobby wonders.

"That's how Max got his powers, and we have thoughts there might be more like him," Gwen explains. "Why?"

Bobby was surprised to hear that and looked down at his hands. "Nothing."

Peter looked confused as to why he would have focused on that and decided he needed to let it go as the bell rang and they needed to get to class. The three friends got up and got ready to face the day and find out the mystery of their lizard creature.

After school, Peter went into his suit and was getting used to not being known as Central City's vigilante and now being known as Spider-Man. As he swung through the city, his senses were still young and couldn't register every threat that came at him, meaning someone was able to watch where he was going and contacted someone to say Spider-Man was out.

Peter made it to Connors' house and walked up to the door. But when he reached the door, he was surprised to see that it was open. He wondered why it was open and looked inside to notice there was nobody around.

"Hello?" Peter called out to the room. Nobody answered and Peter took notice a syringe was on the table, and he recognized it as the one they injected into Freddy the mouse.

"It's not polite to snoop," Connors said, getting Peter to jump and see he was home. "What are you doing here?"

Peter put the syringe down and gestured to the door. "Door was open, I got worried." That seemed acceptable for Connors as he nodded and was packing a few things. "I just wanted to ask you something. How would a predator track a reptile?"

"Oh, they don't," Connors commented as he placed a few beakers in his bag. "Most reptiles are at the top of their respective food chain, kings of their domain."

"But they have some vulnerabilities, right?" Peter asks.

Connors then became curious as he turned around to face the boy. "Why the sudden interest in the cold-blooded?"

Peter had to think for a moment and come up with a plausible excuse that doesn't give away his identity. "Biology profiling for school." Connors seemed to believe that as he didn't look suspicious anymore. "So, because of their cold blood, would they react to sudden drops in temperature?"

"Well, you'd have to catch one first," Connors said as he picked up the syringe and closed it. "Did you know there's a rumor of a new species in Central City? Beautiful and quite large."

That got Peter's attention, wondering if he was talking about the thing on the bridge. "Have you seen it? What do you know about it?"

"No, it's still not classified." Connors was sorry to say and looked sternly at Peter. "But it can be aggressive if threatened."

That's when Peter finally got close enough to notice the scales on Connors' neck. Seems Connors noticed Peter's eyes traveling to his neck and covered it with a scarf, which was suspicious to wear in this weather.

"Doc, everything okay?" Peter asks.

"Never been better, Peter. Never been better." Connors said assuringly, even though Peter could easily see he hasn't been sleeping. "Now, I believe you can show yourself out. I need to pack. I have a new project to work on and I need to be alone." Peter nodded his head and started to make his way out. "Don't worry, Mr. Parker. I'll be back. Wonderful things are coming."

Peter wondered what kind of project he was working on as he left the home. Passing the garage, which was now open, he noticed something going on inside. Taking a quick look inside, he noticed the cages that held Freddy and Wilma. And one of the cages was broken open from the inside.

Walking over to the cage, he heard snarling and... crunching? That's when he finally saw it. Fred, the mouse they injected with the serum, was a giant snarling mutated mouse.

"Fred?" Peter was shocked to see the mouse looking up at him.

Meanwhile, with Bobby, he was waiting for Liz after her cheerleading practice. Letting someone know about what has been happening with him recently has put weight off his shoulders, even if it was just his cousin Caitlin Snow and friend Peter Parker.

While he was waiting near the bleachers, he took notice that Liz was talking to her brother, Mark. Seemed things were getting heated as the two started to shout and he stormed off.

Bobby was surprised to see this as Liz approached him. "Everything okay between you and your brother?"

"I don't know." Liz sighed, knowing she needed to tell someone about it. "I think he's gambling."

"Gambling?" Bobby asked, looking to where Mark walked off. "Didn't you say he quit that stuff a long time ago?"

"I thought he did, but I saw him talking to Matthew Norvock," Liz tells Bobby. "His old bookie."

"Huh. People still do say bookie," Bobbie was amazed to say

Liz then pulled a card out of her pocket and showed it to Bobby. "And I found this in his room the other day." She showed off a betting slit that Bobby saw was for a horse race. "Last time Mark owed this guy money, he stole a car."

Bobby thought of something and got an idea. "I think I might know someone who can try and help him."

Peter was standing high on a few buildings, watching how Connors wasn't necessarily leaving the city and he was questioning where he was going with all that equipment. Something was definitely off with the doctor and this whole ideal. Watching the man from a distance, everything added up too well. Peter gives Connors the formula to regrow limbs with lizard DNA and suddenly a giant lizard starts terrorizing the city. Not to mention those weird scales on his neck were definitely reptilian.

As a (trying to be) scientist, he can't ignore the evidence that lines him up with the fact that leads to the conclusion that somehow in some way, Curtis Connors is the Lizard. Following Connors through the busy streets, he watched the man enter into an alleyway. Peter kept him in sight, trying to hide from his line of sight but also trying to keep him in his line of sight.

But when Peter turned a corner, there was nothing to see but garbage cans and a manhole leading to the sewers. Dropping down to the ground, he looked around and wondered if Connors had gone into the sewer. And if he did, then why? What was down there that he would be able to do better than with a laboratory, like STAR Labs or something at his place?

While he was thinking of entering the sewers, an alarm suddenly went off in the area. Peter looked over to the manhole, knowing he doesn't have time to do both, Connors isn't a threat to anyone right now and he could look into what he was doing down there later. There would be a lot of sewers to check, and somewhere someone needs their help right now.

Peter started swinging around to where he heard the noise and was thankful that it was just a car chase as of now. He ran along the wall of the adjacent building to get a feel for what was going on.

Seeing where the car was driving, they stopped in a random warehouse as Peter landed and just missed as someone exited the car. Placing a camera, he dropped down and started to see if he could find where the thief went.

"Come on out, wherever you are," Peter called out.

He didn't hear anyone calling back when his senses went off and made him look around. He wondered why when a giant blast of energy sent him flying into a garbage truck. Looking up, he was about to laugh at the sight of Herman Schultz dressed in the uniform that the Big Man gave him.

"That came as quite the shocker, didn't it?" Herman asked as he walked over to Peter as he charged up another blast. Luckily Peter was quick on his feet and leaped out of the way, the blast sending the car flying into the wall and even denting it. "Hold still, son. So that I can put you out of your misery."

"Who the heck are you?" Peter asked as he had no idea what to think right now.

"Call me...Shocker!" Herman stated, only for Peter to recognize his voice.

"Wait. Aren't you Herman Schultz?" Peter asks as he landed on the roof. "Wow, someone got an upgrade." He then went in for a swing but was shot off of the impact hit only to be shot back and skittling against the ground. "Ow."

"Well, what do you know? I can get used to this." Herman said as he sent another shot to Peter, allowing him to get an opening, and instead of going in for an impactive hit, he landed and wrapped his arms around his neck.

"Don't get too used to it. They don't make yellow jumpsuits in the sla-a-a-a-a-A-A-A-A-A!" Peter was trying to mock him, only for his mocking to be interrupted by his suit shaking and causing Peter to let him go.

"I admire your moxie, kid." Herman complimented the slinger. "But you're apparently bad for business. Means I gotta do this."

Peter spun around and tripped Herman to get out of the way of his second blast and landed on the wall. "Who's business?"

"Can't tell you the who." Herman was sorry to say.

"Then why can't you tell me the why?" Peter asks. "What did your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man ever do to you?"

"Nothing personal, it's just my responsibility to bring him your head," Herman said as he shot out more blasts at the hero.

Peter then started to get ideas and saw that the building was condemned. Shooting webs out at the drapes around the room, he tossed them on top of Herman, trying to blind him for a moment.

"It's not wise to make a dangerous man look foolish!" Herman commented.

"Like you need my help!" Peter scoffed. "Look in a mirror lately?"

Herman kept shooting at Peter as he kept on mocking Herman while he kept shooting everything. "I can see why the Empire let you go. With that aim, you couldn't hit a Rancor in a cage!"

"Don't you ever stop talking?!" Herman asked, getting irritated by him now.

"Sorry, my fans expect a certain number of quips from me!" Peter commented as Herman set off a final blast that sent off the entire building, allowing the wreckage to fall and drop on top of Herman.

The suit was able to protect him from certain death, but it was also too much for him to be able to blast off like it was nothing. "And... scene!" Then his phone went off, causing Peter to stop gloating and make his escape to take it. "Hey, Bobby."

"Hey, Pete. I need you to help me with something." Bobby asked of him.

Mark Allen was walking into the bar, seeing Matthew Norvock there after being tossed in by their right-hand man.

"Where's my money, Allen?" Matthew asks.

"I don't have it. Yet." Mark tells him as he got off the floor. "But there's this horse. It's a lock."

"It's always a lock with you, Allen," Norvock commented when someone busted in through the doorway leading to the boss's room.

What stood there was a man dressed in a dark limestone green armored suit and also has a mask that resembles a twisted demon completed with yellow eyes. He held his security up in the air and tossed him into the bar.

"Well, it seems Herman Schultz was a total flop!" The monster said, scaring Mark at the sight. "Yes, it is I. The Green Goblin! Finally showing myself to the good people of Central City." He then called in his glider that flew in and knocked a few of the bigger characters down and made his way over to Norvock. "We're going to need to think bigger if we're going to bring down the Spider-Man."

"How big are we thinking, boss?" Norvock asks him.

The Green Goblin then turned his attention to Mark, who was trying to squirm away without being noticed and failing at it. He looked over and noticed the two of them were staring at him and knew that something wasn't going to end well for him.

The Watcher watched their interaction and eyed the monster. "The Green Goblin. Norman Osborn. He's one of Peter Parker's greatest enemies throughout the multiverse. Even the one to murder the hero in a few timelines...a monster that even someone as insane as Eobard Thawne would never have intentionally created. I don't know what the destiny of our hero will be with all of these villains coming for him."
