Guest - Did you not understand what the Watcher said at the end of the last chapter? I explained that Peter's mere existence in this universe altered things over the course of years.

"An eerie calm has settled over Central City." The Watcher continued to narrate as he eyed the cops and people turning back to normal. "With help from Peter and Bobby, the antidote was released from STAR Labs that has counteracted the Lizard toxin. They can all rest easy now that Dr. Curtis Connors, is behind bars."

In her apartment Caitlin was trying to call Bobby, wondering where he was. That's when the door opened and Caitlin looked shocked to see Bobby come in, with a bruise on his head, a cut lip, and an injured arm.

"Oh my god," Caitlin said as she went over to her cousin and looked over his injuries.

"Would you believe me if I said that I was saving my best friend from a giant lizard?" Bobby asked her, giving an innocent smile to her.

Caitlin rolled her eyes, feeling he was telling the truth, and just decided to look over his injuries and make sure he was okay.

"God, you had me worried." Caitlin sighed in relief.

Ever since her fiancé was killed in the incident, Caitlin had been living alone. Then a few days after the incident, she found Bobby living on the street. Angered by what his parents did, she took him in, no questions asked.

Okay, a lot of questions were asked, but she was willing to give Bobby a home. He helped her get through the pain of losing her loved one, Ronnie Raymond. Having someone who needs her and relying on her helps. Not to mention Bobby was a good listener and it was almost like having a younger sibling.

Back with Peter, he had made it home with a completely bruised face and injured body and met May in the kitchen.

May looked him over and pulled Peter in for a hug. "Oh, god. I was so worried about you over the past few months. I thought it was something terrible."

"Well, I think this still counts as terrible," Peter admitted vigilantism is still an offense.

"You still have to explain it a bit," May admitted.

The two then sat down on the couch and talked. Going back to the spider bite, Ben's death, his motto, just about everything. Even including Bobby's powers and help.

"Ben always did say with great power comes great responsibility." May sighed as she stood up and pulled Peter close to her. "I just think you just took it to a whole new level."

"Yeah," Peter admitted with a chuckle.

"I used to sneak out, too. You know?" May asked with a chuckle. "Except it was more for regrettable actions."

"You?" Peter asked with a chuckle. "I couldn't see that."

"Okay, no need to suck up. You're not in trouble." May laughed as she pats him on the back. "Okay, maybe a little. But I'll get over it."

"That's good to hear." Peter joked.

"You're a good kid, and you're a smart kid," May told him as she ruffled up his hair. But then she knew that it was time to tell him the news. "Which brings me to the other set of news."

"What?" Peter wondered.

"Turns out you were right." May finally tells him. "Henry Allen is your father."

"In the following weeks to come, Peter would need to deal with legally proving he is Henry's son before he could meet him." The Watcher monologues as he looks over the funeral of George Stacy. Grief-stricken Gwen Stacy looked around and noticed everyone was there but Peter. "And Peter kept his promise...keeping his distance from Gwen."

Peter was at least there, watching everything from the top of a nearby building. But he faces her. He needed to keep his promise.

But he didn't know was that Gwen noticed him, and knew they needed to talk. After the funeral was over, Gwen stopped by Peter's place to talk.

"Where have you been?" Gwen wonders.

"I'm sorry." Peter sighed in sorrow. "But...he...he made me promise to stay away. Before he died."

Gwen tears up and understood but was still upset with him. "So... that means this is over?"

"I'm sorry. I can't drag you along after that." Peter confesses, knowing he needs to be true to his word.

"Well..." Gwen then saw she needed to break the news. "Mom's moving us out of town in a few days. We're leaving for New York in a week at best."

Peter was sorry to hear that and did all he could do and hugged Gwen. "I'm sorry."

"So am I," Gwen replied.

The two then separated and Peter let her go. Gwen walked away and lets the tears flow.

With the day finally coming that Peter could meet his father, he was starting his day at school and looked over to Gwen, emptying her locker. As he was getting his things for the day, Flash came over to him and gave him a pat on the back.

"Morning, Parker," Flash tells him with a smile as he pushed Peter playfully.

"Hey, Flash." Peter greeted him happily.

"You coming to class or not?" Flash asked him.

"Yeah," Peter said when he noticed Flash's shirt with a Spider-Man logo on it. "Nice shirt."

"Yeah, dude's crazy. But he's an amazing guy." Flash said as he started to back away. "Chicks seem to dig him."

Peter nodded and watched as Gwen walked past. He knew this wasn't going to be an easy decision and yet was hard to watch her give him the cold shoulder.

Bobby walked over and patted Peter on the shoulder. "Women problems?"

"More like superhero problems." Peter sighed. "It's for the best."

"Eight months of fighting criminals. Six months of a relationship lead to heartbreak. But this was not the end..." The Watcher said as he looked down at Peter going through the halls in Iron Heights. "...just a new beginning."

Peter sat down and watched as his father was brought out of the back and sat down across from his son.

"Hi, dad..." Peter greeted him.

"Oh my god..." Henry couldn't believe his eyes as he looked over at his son. "Look at you, Peter." He then had tears swelling in his eyes. "I never thought I'd see you again."

"Yeah, well...I've been looking around for you when I found out the truth," Peter confesses to him and the two started to finally talk.

"You look just like your brother," Henry commented on Peter's appearance. "He would be happy to be here."

"Yeah, I've been looking forward to meeting him," Peter replied.

Then The Watcher turned his attention over to the doors of Peter's house where May was. Peter said he would like to meet his father by himself for the first meeting. Gwen walked up to the doors and knocked on them. Sighing, she wondered where Peter was when she heard someone nearby.

"He's not here." A voice said, getting Gwen to look and see Mary was sitting on the bench outside. "Went to go see someone."

"Sorry, and you are..?" Gwen wondered, never being introduced to her before.

"Mary." Mary introduced herself as she got up and shook her hand. "My aunt is friends with Peter's aunt."

"Wait..." Gwen started to remember the talk a while ago with Peter. "Mary Jane Watson?"

"The very same." Mary Jane confirmed for her. "People just like to call me MJ."

"That's nice." Gwen returned. "Well...I was hoping to see Peter before I had to leave. But it seems I missed him."

"Yeah, my aunt told me what happened to your father. Sorry." Mary tells her.

"Thanks," Gwen said.

"I've seen you and Peter for a while now," Mary tells her and gestures to the window next door. "You see a lot of things from the window."

"Really?" Gwen asks her, getting a little worried. "What have you seen?"

"Just casual everyday occurrences." Mary shrugged, relieving Gwen that she doesn't know. "Just...I have never had any real luck with guys over the years. Always end up going for troublesome bad boys." She then placed her book around her arms and crossed them around her waist. "What's your secret?"

Gwen smiled and saw that this Mary Jane seemed like a nice girl and remembered what Peter said about May trying to set him up. She then gestured with her head to the doorway of the Parker household.

"Easiest piece of advice I can give you...date a nerd," Gwen said as she then started to make her way home. "It just so happens, I know a sweet one who's recently single."

Mary Jane thought of what she said and looked to the doorway and remembered that dance that was coming up in a few weeks. She was going to try and snitch a way to get out of it, to help both her and Peter. But it seems that Gwen thinks that they might be good enough for one another.

"When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us." The Watcher quotes as he watched the two girls who will mean the world to Peter Parker. He then looks out to the universe and all the different variations of Mary Jane. From the classic redhead, across to the new girl Michelle Jones Watson. "MJ Watson is the woman that no matter the world, no matter the name, she will always be there for Peter Parker."

Detective Joe West and Eddie Thawne were looking over a crime scene in an apartment that they have never seen before. Which in this city is saying a lot. There was a man dead in the middle of the room, which isn't out of the ordinary. But the way that he was killed was where things got interesting.

Seemed that he was killed by the claws of some kind of animal if they had to guess.

"Seems the victim is one Hector Ayala." Eddie pulled out the ID they could find on the guy. "Father and mother deceased, but seems he had one other living relative. A sister. Ava Ayala."

"Where is she?" Joe wonders.

"Seems she was last seen here with her brother last night," Eddie commented and pulled a file. "Reports of shouting from the neighbors."

"Let's try and find her, see if she knows what happened here," Joe said, wondering where she would be.

Outside, someone was eyeing the crime scene and growled at the sight. Her brother had been murdered, and she did nothing but run. He told her to do it and tossed the one thing that couldn't fall into the killer's hands.

She looked down and eyed the glowing amulet in her hands that had the shape of a tiger-circled face on it with teeth. The teeth were more decorative if anything, but the amulet itself was the one piece of power.

"I will avenge you, brother," Ava promised as she placed the necklace on and felt the powers of a tiger surging through her. "I'm coming for you, Gideon."

With the speed of a tiger, she raced across the rooftops, claws emerging from her hands as she made her way upward and sniffed the air, looking for who had killed her last family member.
