Chapter 1
AN: Whaddup, ya boi 9thUzerOfG.O.A.T. here! So I've been falling in love with a few ships, one of them being Izumina, so I'm gonna give it a go!
So this story is not going to be focused on action that much, mostly a high-school romance and drama. This is my first go at something like this, so bear with me! Oh, and Izuku would have had a Quirk already, but he will also have OFA. I will expound on that later in the story. Also, some of the backstories for many characters will change, as well as their personalities, which would make sense concerning a different outcome in their lives, eh? Hehe well anyway, in this AU mutant quirks are looked down on more and will be a focal point of the trajectory of the plot and characters. Also, Izuku will be more bitter, just because of the crazy stuff he's been through in the past two years, so he'll be a little more confident, but also...colder? He'll still be an amazing cinnamon roll of a hero, but there's definitely a change...again, I'll explain it all in the story.
So that's that...hope y'all enjoy this, I'm gonna really try and go a new direction with this AU, so...yeah, see ya on the other side!
UA High, the pinnacle of hero schools in Japan. At this school, high-school students with strong Quirks, bright minds and determined spirits push themselves to the limits under the very...involved curriculum at the prestigious academia. One such student, Izuku Midoriya, became a worldwide hero at just the age of seventeen after defeating All for One and the League of Villains, even travelling to America to pursue the fleeing criminals.
Of course, he'd say that he had the help of his classmates, but news videos of a being of green energy holding up buildings, crashing through forests and burning through every obstacle in his way- people could tell that the force of nature, the supernatural known as Deku, one-man-armied his way through hordes of villains, all trying to bring him down. It was a war that a seventeen-year-old should never have to see, much less experience. Yet Izuku broke past every limit and barrier, holding the weight of the world almost literally, as people watched, their fears and worries being taken on by one teenager, and being crushed by his amazing power.
It was no wonder that Izuku couldn't enter the front gates of UA on his first day of his third year here.
"Ohmygosh, it's him! Midoriya-senpai's right there!"
"Ughhhh, I have GOT to get an autograph!"
"He's so hot!"
"It's the Deku! Deku! HIIII!"
Izuku Midoriya sighed. He should've known he was going to be dealing with this. Even through all of the shit he's been through, he couldn't help a small blush coming to him. He was still anxious around a lot of people, especially when being the center of attention.
Trying not be rude, he mumbled "Excuse me" every five seconds, weaving his way through the crowd. Trailing him on his left and right were Shoto Todoroki and Katsuki Bakugo. During the war with All for One, they became close allies and grew a strong bond, as the Big Three depended on each other during many battles. While Izuku gained the lion's share of the glory, no one could question that Bakugo and Todoroki were close behind Izuku in raw strength, intelligence and combat ability. That being said, it was even harder to not be noticed when the three strongest and most popular students were walking together, right into the crowd of first and second-year students.
"Is that the Big Three? Can I get a selfie?!" some purple-haired girl asked, obviously used to being seen as a cutie and therefore used to getting her way.
"GET THE HELL OUTTA MY WAY, EXTRA!" Bakugo yelled back, not even caring to look the girl's way. Her insignificance was clear, and Izuku almost felt bad, but was grateful nonetheless for the unkind but timely gesture. Soon, The Big Three had an opening for them to move forward. Shoto side-eyed Izuku.
"I'm quite glad that the attention is on you. I would personally be doing a Flashfreeze Heatwave out of pure nerves...Actually, are you sure your original quirk wasn't being a woman magnet?" Shoto inquired. Izuku widened his eyes and gulped. How does he manage to look so neutral and relay such emotional and deep conversations? Being used to Todoroki's dead-panned face, Izuku scratched his cheek with his index finger.
"Ah, I d-don't know what you're t-talking about. I told you, my quirk was originally Living Fire before getting One for All", Izuku mumbled. Getting close to the main campus, Izuku could see the rest of his classmates. They seemed to go unnoticed by the younger students. It didn't mean their role in the war was insignificant- Izuku knew a select few that saved his life in more than one occasion- but he knew that people only looked to the one that packed the punch. He so happened to be the one with the literal power of All Might and then some, so.
Izuku eventually noticed a few more things as he walked up to his friends and allies of the past two years of his life. It's not surprising that he so quickly analyzed his situation- he had to spend months surviving as a vigilante trying to get close enough to All for One to remove him from the equation before battling Shigaraki.
Okay, first thing- Uraraka seems a little more...thin? I hope she's alright...Izuku noted internally. Her mannerism is totally different too, like she's about to burst. That smile could've fooled me if I wasn't paying attention, though.
Alright, next. Goddammit. Izuku sighed, one full of pain and anger. He noticed that a few classmates of 1-A, his friends with mutant quirks, were standing off to the side and almost out of sight from the others. This was a hard feat since many of them had some sort of mutation, leaving over half the class trying to hide from the scrutiny of others.
A hard part of life that everyone tries to ignore. Mutant quirks were seen as...unbecoming of someone, like as if they were doing something wrong by looking different. Izuku had to admit, some mutations were kind of creepy, but he didn't think any quirk, or the mutation that accompanied it, was evil. In fact, he thought it was fitting that the body developed such a mutation to accommodate and raise the potential for one's quirk. But no one was like Izuku Midoriya. Society found a way to villainize the mutants that had monstrous, alien-like quirks.
It was not unlike something he heard in middle school concerning two racial groups going to war in the United States. That was only a couple hundred years ago, and it's like the population turns from one enemy to the next. You'd think that after the creation of Quirks and actual villains, superficial things like mutant quirks would end.
Izuku hated that mutants were treated horribly. He also hated that everyone pretended like it wasn't happening.
Maybe the one thing that pissed him off more than anything was that the media placed a crown on his head while blaming the mutants in Class 1-A for being incompetent. No one had any idea the danger his class was in. Izuku purposely went rogue, many times, to protect his friends. But they still fought. No one knows the lengths Tokoyami, Asui, Ashido and Shoji went to when helping him dig out Shigaraki from the underground.
At least the non-mutants of 1-A were good people. They didn't treat them bad, and sometimes stood up for them when others pulled some bullshit.
Izuku finally stopped musing over his thoughts and waved a hand at Uraraka and Iida. They were his first, and probably his best, friends. While Izuku considered himself friends with everyone, he mostly hung out with Iida and Uraraka, as well as Todoroki and Tsuyu. While Izuku was able to fix his relationship with Bakugo, they were more like rivaled brothers now. Izuku was also just too socially awkward to talk to anyone else, especially...Mina Ashido.
Izuku noticed that his mutant friends were slowly moving away from the class, and gasped when seeing some unpleasant looks. He knew hostility between mutants and non-mutants existed in the school, but not in Class 1-A. They were so much closer than that. Or at least he thought.
Fuck. I don't anyone to feel left out. I'm a hero; I should be able to make everyone feel like this world has a place for them. Besides, I know what it's like to not belong, Izuku thought. Then he frowned. Why was he thinking about all of this now? He was always bothered by the treatments his friends received, but it seemed to reach a peak recently. How was he going to address it? How was he suppose to-
"Midoriya, you alright? You're talking to yourself again", Uraraka said, tilting her head at him. Izuku pulled himself out of his trance, looking up at his closest friend. Ochako Uraraka looked even thinner up close. It wasn't something that was very obvious, nor was it something to be seen as outrageous, but Izuku was not used to Uraraka looking so thin. Her usually round cheeks were a little sunken in, and her usually healthy hips and thighs were not as pronounced. Considering the fact that she did not grow a centimeter, Izuku could guess she wasn't stretching out. It was like she wasn't eating. She mentioned her family not being very wealthy- is she not eating enough?
"I...I'm okay, how about you? Are you excited for the school year?" Izuku replied, trying to get a hint on her changes.
"I'm doing great! I'm so glad everyone's here again!" Ochako beamed. It was a little too sudden and cheerful; at least, that's what Izuku saw.
"Er- glad to hear. Look, Iida, Uraraka, I'll catch up with y'all later, okay? I just need to do a few...things." Smooth. Izuku gave a sheepish smile, scratching the back of his head. Totally forgetting Iida was there, Izuku hoped by mentioning his name he'd clear up the awkwardness between him and Uraraka. Iida looked down at Izuku and raised an eyebrow. Izuku always walked with them to class, and he never had to anything beforehand. Of course Iida would pick on something bothering Izuku. Whether or not he would mention it was unclear, until Iida smiled.
"Thank you for telling us this ahead of time, Midoriya! Be wise with your time and we will see you when class starts." Iida had definitely chilled out over the past couple of years, no longer so hardcore and strict.
"But if you are late, I will not hesitate to reprimand you, Midoriya-san! You have a reputation to uphold!" Iida couldn't help say, chopping his arm a couple of times. He quickly relaxed, looking at Uraraka. She seemed to look past Izuku, as if in a trance. Before Izuku could say anything, she turned and walked away, holding Iida's hand and pulling him away, much to his surprise. Izuku didn't waste time pondering on it; he amended that he'll have to talk to her later. But he had more important things to worry about.
Mina's group was still there, outside of the school. Since the dorms were constructed, getting to school was no sweat, Class 1-A sometimes getting to the school 30 minutes early. Izuku was glad everyone he wanted to talk to was there; it'd be too much for him to say the same thing to everyone. Mina and her friends were also known as the "zoo club" to the other students at UA. It included Ashido, Shoji, Tokoyami, Toru (though she wasn't considered a mutant), Jirou (she wasn't one either), Koda and Ojiro. They were truly an eccentric group of students, but Izuku had nothing but respect for them. They stepped up for him in his darkest times. They were, in his eyes, an amazing group of heroes-to-be. So the fact that he felt he needed to address any sort of divide between them broke his heart. He sighed, hoping that his nerves wouldn't get the best of him.
Mina Ashido was a mutant. Fuck, why is that the first thing that people see, huh? Mina Ashido was not very smart. She was not strong, focused or resourceful. She was overly energetic, ditzy at times and flirtatious. Nobody like those things about her. It just added to how much of a freak she was. Mina thought going to UA would prove she was more than who she seemed on the outside. She forgot that UA was still a high school. In fact, her time at UA was worse than the past 14 years of her life.
It started with the girls. The comments on her looks and the jokes about her being too ugly to get a boyfriend. It moved onto rumors about her being a sex worker. It made her popular with the guys, who'd offer her money in exchange for her services. It all reached a peak when Ashido was caught with Kirishima in her room. She was villainized, like as if she forced herself onto him. Kirishima didn't help by dumping her.
It only got worse when some in Class 1-A started to believe the things others were saying. It got to a point where she was avoided. She was tagged as the school skank, the class cunt-bag (whatever that was), the whore of the hallways and the prestigious prostitute of the prestigious UA. Even other schools like Shiketsu knew about her reputation, and somehow people believed it enough to ask her what her hourly rate was. Even when she'd tell them to fuck off, they somehow got others to believe that she was still in business and they were able to get a hit with her. She was just an exotic trophy to guys and an easy bitch to the girls. If only they knew her life...
Mina Ashido was a mutant. She knew it all her life. It was obvious that being a mutant was wrong when her parents disowned her, just deciding to travel the world in order to avoid their alien daughter. Leaving Mina at home with bills paid and allowance, her parents would leave or a two-week trip to another country, only coming back home to unpack and repack, heading right back for another escapade. It took Mina three years to stop crying herself to sleep, and five years to learn how to hide her pain. Mina was never home during her middle school years. She couldn't stand being home alone, left to see the traces of her parents in every picture, piece of furniture and fine wine on the counter. Mina made friends with Fumikage, Mezo and Ojiro, fellow mutants that were also ignored by their parents. They gained a reputation in their neighborhood for being the outcasts. After school, they'd hang out in the streets, finding things to do, some illegal. That's when Mina found out drinking was fun, and eased her inner turmoil. In fact, middle school was where Mina learned her place in the world and how cruel it truly was.

At age 12, Mina Ashido was addicted to weed and drank two to three times a week. Fumikage refused to do either, though he never scolded her for it. Mezo was a hard smoker, and drank less often than her. Ojiro was the biggest drinker, though he held down his drinks well, almost never drunk. This motley crew found a home in an underground club, where most of the people were mutants. They offered them money, drugs and alcohol as long as they did errands for them. It was dangerous, but Mina didn't mind. Her past was numbed by the highs of the weed, the joys of the bottle and the strobes of the club music. It gave her sick satisfaction to know she was being the disappointment her parents saw in her.

Mina Ashido laid in the corner of a room in the underground club, Demon Zoo. After being here for two years, Mina caught the attention of many of the male patrons. Mina pretended to not notice and ignored the warnings of her friends. Tonight, she stayed at the club while her friends went home. She was too high and drunk to notice the men slide into the booth with her.
There were four of them. There was one Mina Ashido, vulnerable in her intoxicated state. It was easy to take her to a private room with no fight from her. It was easy to undress her and woo her in her high state. It was east for those four, sick motherfuckers to take advantage of her. Even when she did scream, the music was too loud for anyone to hear, and even if someone did, they would chalk it up to a normal day in the private rooms. That's what they were for, anyway.
Two hours later, Mina still had blood and semen on her. She was sober now, but she couldn't move. She was paralyzed by the revelation that she was just raped. She felt like trash, like prey, like a worthless piece of shit, a glorified hole with a nice body for these men to get themselves off. But they did more than that. They hit her, choked her, slammed her against the wall. They took turns, and spent themselves multiple times, sometimes inside of her. They weren't mutants. They most likely got her pregnant. They laughed in her face. They enjoyed it, and for some sick reason her body started to enjoy it after a while.
That's what scared Mina the most. Her body reacted with pleasure; it felt good, even through the pain and the fear and the torment.
-/-/ 2 years ago... \-\-
Mina Ashido lost all of her faith in mankind. Coming to UA was her dream, but it was no longer to be a hero. It was to prove a point. As Mina stood in front of the gates to UA, she promised herself she'd show the world that she was more than a mutant. That she was more than what the world wanted to paint her as. She defined who she was, not the rumors, the media or the social norm.
During her time at UA, Mina had started to learn two things: One, high school was even worse than middle school, even without the weed and the Demon Zoo Club. Two, Izuku Midoriya was the best person ever. Even after being known for having a super-strong quirk, he was still a humble guy, even getting flustered when being at the center of attention.
Mina developed an attraction to him early on in her first year at UA. Seeing him push himself to the limits, hearing him encourage others, including herself, to go Plus Ultra always made Mina feel like she could take on the world. Mina loved everything Izuku seemed to do. When he was in battle, when he was nervously stuttering and muttering to himself, when he first tried dancing, when he led Mina, Uraraka and Mineta to victory in the Joint Training Battles...yeah, Izuku made Mina's heart flutter. At least, he used to. Things changed after the summer of her first year.
Things had calmed down for Class 1-A, since Shigaraki was forced underground after AFO's death. Everyone wanted to enjoy each other's company and the short-lived peace, so a retreat was planned. Momo's parents decided to pay for a two-week trip to San Francisco, a city in the United States. Everyone was excited to go, even Todoroki was smiling and was caught buying beach toys at the mall two days before the trip. Mina was excited for other reasons. She had wanted a chance to talk to Izuku without school, training and villains to get in the way. They never talked often, so Mina was hoping to get a chance to know Izuku better.
In the days leading up to the trip, Mina would, with little subtlety, try to bump into Izuku on random occasions. Knowing how nervous Izuku gets around the opposite gender, Mina was expecting him to get all red and flustered, stuttering incoherently and flailing his arms. So it was a surprise when Izuku only gave her a cold side-eyed look and walked away. He still blushed and looked unsure of himself, but he never outright walked out on a girl, much less give them a look with such annoyance.
Some part of Mina wanted to break. Izuku, the most compassionate, considerate and kind person in the world rejected her. Mina should've given up then; it wasn't like he'd respond better by her coming more. But she couldn't bring herself to forget Izuku- her feelings were still strong for that green-haired bastard.
Izuku was now right in front of Mina and her friends. He turned his gaze to her and gave a small smile. There was that same glint in his eye, one of kind resolve, much like that one day...
Mina was sitting on a dock, crying. To anyone else it would be weird for her to be crying- Ashido was probably the brightest personality in all of UA, and this was a trip to the beach; who's think otherwise of Mina? But to herz this was normal. On random days her past will just come back to the surface, threatening to overtake her in grief, pain and self-hatred.
Mina didn't notice Izuku walking up to her. Sitting down next to her, he didn't say a word until she seemed to stop. By this time, the sun was gone, and the hanging lights on the dock were on.
"H-hey, Ashido...I noticed you here alone; d-do you want t-to talk about it?" Mina looked up, nose purple and eyes puffy. There was that beautiful viridian-eyed boy she loved.
"L-look, I know we don't talk...at all. But I don't want to see you like this. You don't have to go into detail, but I at least want to be here for you. I have moments where I feel weak, too, and I didn't talk to anyone about it. So, y-you know what? Let me be there for you." Mina didn't say anything, mostly because she was too distracted with his eyes. They were so determined, shining with a deep conviction...
"Mina? A-are you okay?" Izuku waved his hand in front of Mina's face. Snapping back to the present, Mina finally realized she was standing in front of her greatest weakness. She gulped, trying to forget how good he looked, or the flutter of her heart under his gaze.
"Uhh, hey Midoriya."
"I th-thought I lost you f-for a second", Izuku said sheepishly, scratching the back of his head.
"Sorry, just a bit distracted." Mina looked to her friends, hoping for assistance. Fumikage closed his eyes and left with his dramatic air. She wasn't surprised. The shadow-loving mutant had the most resentment against Izuku.
"Er- wait! Umm I kind of wanted t-to talk to ev-everyone." Izuku stepped forward, holding his hands up in surrender. Tokoyami stopped, turned to Izuku, and kept walking. Izuku deflated, his eyes dimmed and he shoved his hands in his pocket.
Before Mina could say something, Izuku tossed something. Before the projectile could hit Tokoyami's head, Dark Shadow's arm came out and caught the apple.
"I don't know what caused such a rift, but let me remind you that I am Izuku, your friend", Izuku said, all stuttering gone. Tokoyami looked close to smiling, but opted to just cross his arms and wait for Izuku to speak. Izuku straightened, looking at everyone in front of him.
"Look, this is our third year at UA. We have been through so much, and have found allies in each other during many hard times. But, I do understand that things have changed afterward, such as the fact that anti-mutant sentiment has grown. Guys, I don't know when you believed I bought into that bullshit, but let me remind you yet again- you are all dear friends to me, and amazing heroes. I am no longer willing to stand by and see this division. We are Class 1-A. We define the next generation of heroes. What we do, the rest will follow. So...will you help me make this society better?"
Mezo snorted. Izuku looked, surprised that he made such a sound. Mezo walked up to Izuku, stopping a few inches from his face.
"I don't know what's funnier- that you were clever enough to not waste your breath on apologies or the fact that you just gave us a pep talk." Izuku bristled. Mina decided to step in before the tension rose, but Jirou beat her to it.
"Izuku has a point. We are going to be heroes whether Japan likes it or not, right? Why not act like it now, and show those fuckers who we are?" Jirou looked around, her face surprisingly hopeful. Ojiro looked uncomfortable. Swishing his tail, he mumbled, "It sounds good, but this is going against an ideology. Is it worth the trouble?" Izuku sighed.
"Forget I said anything, I'm sorry for wasting your time. I-I just...I want you guys to be smiling with us, like we used to!" Izuku exclaimed. "But I know it's easier said than done. I'll s-see you in c-class..." Izuku walked away, head hung.
Fuck it. Mina didn't know what she was doing anymore. She followed Izuku, hoping to catch up to him. At this point, I don't care what our last was like. That bastard is going to stop looking sad with his cute ass.
There were so many emotions running through Mina. Part of her was joyous; Izuku somehow knew how to ignite every cell in her body with bright, fluffy things. But she was also sad; Izuku may not know it but he has broken her heart over and over. Another part of her argued that Izuku did know and was pissed that he would try to pretend nothing happened. The hopeful Mina inside of her was hopeful that he would come back into her life, only to be met with the pessimistic part of her that protested that he would never want some loser like her.
See, Mina had some moments with Izuku where they would be together, looking at each other or holding each other, unsure how they ended up where they were, but always sure if the feeling in their chest. At least, that's what Mina felt. Like as if the world stopped; as if everything Izuku engulfed Mina in warmth.
These moments didn't happen often, but they meant the world to Mina, which she hated sometimes. She was sure Izuku would call them mistakes, but they were beautiful mistakes if anything. Good Lord, Mina could still remember the sight of Izuku's chest in vivid detail...
Cavallo Point Lodge was reserved for the whole of Class 1-A, with some others from Class 1-B and General Studies. One week into the stay, Momo's parents hired party planners to host a pool party at the resort. The venue was decorated with hanging lanterns, floating flower arrangements and large spreads of delicacies.
All of the students were dressed in swimwear much to the delight of the boys. Izuku was dressed in his green trunks, self-consciously putting his arms in front of his torso. He kept himself occupied by talking to Iida.
Mina was currently with Toru, trying to get the nerve to talk to him. Watching the others dancing to the music and rough housing in the pool, Mina knew she had every chance to walk up to Izuku and start a conversation. She was wearing a leopard bikini with no shoulder straps with a white sheer overskirt.
Neither Mina nor Izuku knew that they were both checking each other out and trying to find the courage to approach one another. After ten minutes, Mina finally decided to go big or go home. She took off her overskirt, revealing her healthy pink legs. Holding her beer in her hand (Kirishima and Bakugo found a way to smuggle alcohol), Mina boldly sauntered over to Izuku, who was hanging at the snack bar at the time.
"Midori, you thirsty?" Mina nodded her head to the bottles of beer sitting at the table.
"I-I have never uhhh d- I don't drink", Izuku stuttered, taking a step back. Mina felt a bit better knowing he wasn't walking away from her anymore.
"Aww, you've gotta live a little! It's really good, and it will loosen you up!" Mina nudged Izuku with her arm, causing Izuku to go red in the face. Offering him her bottle, Mina let Izuku take a taste. Taking a sip, Izuku quickly pulled the bottle away and swallowed hard, eyes wide. "It's...surprisingly good" Izuku said, handing Mina the bottle. He grabbed one from the table, staring at the label.
"I guess it wouldn't hurt to try. My mom will kill me though, so don't say a word!" He popped the top and took a large swig. By this time Mina was cheering for him along with some other students, pleasantly surprised that Izuku decided to partake in the fun.
1 hour later, Izuku was properly drunk, with Mina not far behind. After playing pool volleyball and eating and drinking more, the DJ decided to pump the music. Deep based music strobed throughout the pavilion and pool dock, with lights planning over the crowd now gathering to dance. Izuku, in his intoxicated state, was clear of all nervousness and just looked around with a dopey grin on his face. Feeling a hand on his shoulder, he turned to see Mina wearing a sultry grin. The pair started to move. It wasn't slow or fun-loving; it was full of swaying hips, grinding and shameless fondling. Mina had her back against Izuku's front, causing his little head to get full. Putting her hands on his hair, she lowered herself swaying in time to the beat. It was all happening so fast, yet it seemed time had slowed for the dancing duo.
Mina woke up, feeling her source of warmth leave her. Wanting to know why Izuku got off the bed, Mina feigned sleep as she watched Izuku sit on the edge of the bed. Last night was...explosive, to say the least. They didn't have sex, but they still did...a lot of things.
Izuku was talking to himself. Holding his head in his hands, he looked distraught. Mina wanted to get up and see what was wrong, but she wanted to see if she could glean anything from his words. Mina bit her lip as she stared at Izuku's back, enjoying the view.
"Stupid...drinking...on purpose...mistake...my fault...worthless... ughhh!" Izuku grumbled, getting up from the bed. He grabbed his sandals and walked out of Mina's hotel room.
Mina spent the rest of the day crying, only stopping to return calls and texts with the excuse that she was hungover. Izuku didn't bother to stay with her or talk to her. He basically called their night a mistake and walked out on her.
Mina finally caught up to Izuku, grabbing his shoulder.
Cries of pleasure left Mina's mouth as she gripped Izuku's shoulders as he nicked her neck...
"Izuku!" Mina exclaimed. He turned around, face flushed. His eyes were soft, in a way that was only expressed for Mina.
Izuku flops next to Mina, throwing the sheet over their tired bodies. Even while drunk, Izuku's eyes were still full of light, the green orbs looking right back at Mina's golden suns, lost in orbit like planets in the black of her sclera...
"Y-yeah, Ashido?" Izuku asked, seeming to be uncomfortable that Mina said his first name.
"Look, I know things have been...weird for over a year, but I don't hate you. I mean, yeah, you've done some shitty stuff and I don't think I can ever forgive you, but I'm willing-"
"W-what w-wait! Me? An ass? What did I do?" Izuku raised his voice, putting his hands to his chest.
"Oh? Do you really want to know?" Mina scoffed. Izuku crossed his arms.
"I do." Mina glared at Izuku. She walked up to him until she had to look up to see his face.
"You treated me like I was an annoyance to you, always telling me to respect your boundaries and have respect for myself; it took me months to realize that you believed those shitty rumors about me!" Mina stabbed her finger in front of Izuku's face every few seconds.
"Then, you walked out on me after that night in San Francisco! You avoided me the rest of the trip, and fucking humiliated me! And when you finally knew how I felt about you, you decide to give me the biggest 'fuck you' and date Uraraka! But no, what did you do wrong? I'm sorry, Mr. Perfect here isn't in the wrong when he cheats on his girlfriend, or when he runs my reputation through the mud, or when he uses his glory to throw us mutants under the bus! You know what? I think I do hate you, because no matter how much I try to show you my love for you, you only break me down! YOU ARE A SELFISH PIECE OF SHIT! I looked up to you! I LOVED YOU! FUCK YOU, IZUKU MIDORIYA!"
Mina's chest was heaving from the force of her sobs, causing her breaths to come out in horrendous moans. Izuku wasn't moving, but he dropped his arms and tears were streaming cheeks. His fists were clenched, shaking from the strength of his grip.
The dead body laid at the feet of Toga. Blood was everywhere, even on the ceiling of the small room. Izuku stood at the doorway, clenching his fists. Green lightning whined, One for All powering up around Izuku's body. Toga smirked, crouching into a fighting stance, knives in hands. The lightning flared into the form of flames, threatening to flare out at Toga. Izuku screamed, tears falling from his cheeks before evaporating.
He took a deep breath. "M-Mina...you have no idea, do you? I want to believe that those rumors aren't true, but I know better. I saw the texts, the lies, the games...but who am I to say anything? I played you too."
"Me? Play games? You were the only person I could be my real self with! And what do you mean by texts, by lies? Don't put that shit on me! You are the one in the wrong here!" Mina took a couple of steps back. Izuku reached a hand to her, only leading to her walking back.
"Don't bother. Don't bother trying to pretend you're a hero, or that you care about us mutants, or that you care about me. And don't worry; I don't want anything to do with you anymore, so you don't have to feel guilty about never talking to me again." Mina turned and walked away.
"Mina..." Izuku stood there, his hand still outstretched.
Izuku was walking as far and as fast away from UA as possible. His head was down to hide the tears. Sorry, Aizawa-sensei, Izuku thought. He willed flames to coat him, green fire making him appear as a human sun. Blasting into the sky and leaving a scorch into the sidewalk.
The door to the dorm room slams open, Izuku stomping in. Extinguishing his flames, a nude Izuku continues to rage, throwing the little amount of furniture in the room. Izuku long since grew out of the All Might merch he used to obsess over. All that was left was the bed, desk, dresser and pictures on the wall.
Izuku threw open the top drawer of the dresser, pulling out his hero costume. It was an upgraded version of his Gamma suit, with Mei-augmented versions of Red Gauntlets from Melissa Shield, metal gloves from America fitted with hydraulic mini-pistons to provide support from Izuku's punches. Gran Torino's cape was still hanging from the neck, and the Iron Soles we're still there, but we're now attached to upgraded shin and calf support armor, making Iron Boots.
Izuku found that patrolling the streets made him calmer and cleared his thoughts. He has now patrolled the whole of Musutafu, the use of flight and brutality keeping him from slowing down. Izuku didn't discriminate; whether they were pickpocketers or Yakuza caught laundering, Izuku would slam down on them, beat them senseless, and leave within a minute. The whole time, Izuku continues to cry and think about what Mina said.
If Izuku was honest with himself, he had feelings for Mina the moment he saw her. Her happiness was contagious, and she was always uplifting. Izuku used to think that she may have thought the same thing, but he was too nervous to risk asking her out.
When the rumors about Mina spread in UA, Izuku didn't want to believe that the Mina that was always nice and flirty with him was probably just playing him. He wouldn't give in to the rumors, that was until Kirishima talked to Izuku.
"I don't know what to do, man. I thought we loved each other, but she just wanted the sex. And now people are going to run my reputation through the mud, and what if I can't be a hero?" Kirishima was looking at Izuku with a forlorn look, waving his arms.
Izuku tried to match the Mina he loved with the one that hurt Kirishima. It didn't help when others also came forth and talked about her services. It only made Izuku mad when Mina came around him and flirted with him. He was just another victim to her.
Izuku didn't know why he even thought to spend the night with Mina. He blamed it on the alcohol, that he wasn't in the right mind. But it was amazing, he couldn't deny that. The feel of Mina, the sounds she made, the confessions of love. But Izuku knew it was another play from her when he woke up.
Izuku woke up to a bright San Francisco sun. Groaning, he trudged to the sliding door and slid the curtains closed. It didn't really help. He looked back at the bed behind him, drinking in the sight of Mina still in her bikini, the sheet not really covering her. Izuku started to reminisce over their night, the kisses, the cries of- Mina's phone going off. It was a text. Curious, Izuku silently padded to the phone and picked it up. He saw three notifications from Toru.

Izuku was confused. He swiped up on the phone and was surprised to find it wasn't password protected. He decided to scroll the texts, only for his eyes to widen in horror and anger.

Izuku set the phone down and set on the other side of the bed, pulling his thoughts together. How could I be so stupid? Izuku thought.
Mina was barely able to stop crying by the time she made it to the classroom. She still couldn't believe how hard it was to stop trying to go into Classroom 1-A instead of Class 3-A. Walking in and muttering greetings to fellow students, she was surprised that Izuku wasn't among Uraraka and Iida.
After a few minutes of blanking out, Mina finally snapped to reality when she heard a slight commotion among her peers.
"Huh, I wonder what happened?"
"Yeah, he's always here."
Aizawa-sensei walked into the classroom, causing everyone to shut up and get into their seats. It started to become painfully obvious what the problem was. Izuku Midoriya was not in the classroom. Izuku Midoriya is never tardy, and is only absent when he's sick, which is rare. Besides, he was right in front of the school arguing with Mina. Mina started to get sick in her stomach.
