Unknown
A woman wearing a white cloak appeared in his mindscape. She was pale, wore black and red attire, and had bright silver eyes. Thoughs eyes drew him to her until she vanished.
He faded in and out of consciousness but what he could see was that it was dark, and he was somehow in the sky.
He didn't worry as he's survived worse.
"If you can hear me. Please say something. I need you-" the unknown female voice was cut off as he crashed into something.
And for once, it hurt like a bitch.
"Get up, Death-seeker. There are multiple hostiles surrounding you, and I'm pretty they aren't in the mood for a friendly talk." said the voice in the red-eyed boy's mind.
"Death-seeker, huh thats an interesting name for a kid." The unknown voice chimed in.
The both of them, ignoring the female voice, for now, decided to handle the situation they were in." Huh?" the teen got up, groaning in pain "why the fuck does everything hurt?" asked the confused teen.
"Mouthy too."
"Sorry about that, partner. Your healing factor is returning; unfortunately, it's not coming back fast enough."
"What, how was it off in the first place?" Death-seeker replied casually, not worrying about all the weapons aimed at him.
"I do not know, but what I do know is that we are in a different dimension. What or who put us here doesn't matter here anymore. What does matter is that we are no longer at full power anymore. How we lost it, I can't explain, unfortunately."
"Wait, hold up? What the heck did I just hear?! AND COULD YOU GUYS NOT IGNORE ME?! AND WHY DO I HEAR ANOTHER PERSON IN YOUR HEAD?!" She paused for a moment, "oh oum, I think im going insane..."
"Can't I gain it back how I initially did?" The teen asked, slightly worried, continuing to ignore the woman.
"Yes, unfortunately, gaining it all back will take far longer than back at home."
The teen, while relieved, was pissed off. It took him nearly seven years to become as powerful as he did back at home, and if it takes over a decade to return to his original state will only piss him off further.
And to make it worse, he's got another voice in his head. The gods must be getting some payback on him after all the shit he pulled back home.
"How long?" the teen asked with a growl.
For a moment, the teen's partner didn't reply out of fear of his reaction, but he knew if he stalled for too long, it would only further enrage the teen.
"sixteen years..."
"WHAT?!" The teen shouted, not realizing he stood up for all to see. "Sixteen motherfucking years, this is fucking perfect!!" he said sarcastically.
"Im so confused about what's going here..."
Elridian stood up from the ground, but before he could say or do anything else, he felt a sharp blade pressed against his neck.
"I wouldn't move if I were you, human scum." said a male voice.
Death-seeker scoffed at the man behind him. In a blink of an eye, he grabbed the man's sword by the blade and then snapped it in half effortlessly. Then as the teen turned to face his attacker, he saw it was a man with red hair with streaks of brown; he has had two similar horns in color and wore a small mask that covered only his eyes and nose. His attire consists primarily of black, with red added to the mix. He looked up at the taller man and gave him an ominous smile that sent shivers down the man's spine.
"WHAT THE HECK?!! THE WHITE FANG?!! HOW AND WHY DID YOU JUST SNAP HIS SWORD LIKE THAT?! IT WAS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL SWORD!!!!"
"You know it's pretty rude to interrupt someone's conversation."
The man was confused by the strange yet powerful teenager. "What do you mean? You're the only one here."
"And let's keep it that way unless you wanna my partner." The teen looks around to see that there are humans with animal-like traits surrounding him from all sides with their weapons aimed at him, ready to pull the trigger at the command of their leader. He looked back at the man and asked. "So, what's your name, stranger?"
"Adam Taurus, I'm the new leader of the white fang since you just killed the old one." The man known as Adam replied with anger in his voice.
"The fuck what, leader?"
"Look down, human."
He looked to see he had accidentally killed a dark-skinned woman with catlike ears. What was left of her as most of her body was turned into mush, leaving only the head undamaged. He then looked up to see a giant hole in the ceiling and concluded he had landed on her killing her instantly.
Today just wasn't his day.
"OH MY OUM, IF I COULD PUKE, I WOULD!!! OH, OUM!!"
"Huh, oh well, so you're the new leader, eh? Good, you're my bitch now, and you're going to tell me everything I need to know."
"Are we just ignoring that you turned that poor Faunus into mass potatoes?"
Adam growled at the teen's disrespect. "All you humans are the same. Thinking you can do whatever you want and get away with it, but that won't happen while I can help it and ill avenge our leader!!!" Adam shouted.
Death-seeker rolled his eyes and snapped his fingers. Then what transpired next horrified Adam as he watched nearly half his soldiers get torn apart by crimson tentacles. He watched as blood, guts, and bones got poured onto the ground or got splattered on the walls of the warehouse. The teen smiled at Adam's reaction as all he saw raw fear in watching his people being effortlessly dispatched. The ones who were left dropped their weapons and attempted to escape, but the same tentacles that killed their people stopped them by covering all the ways in and out.
"HOLY SHIT, WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?!!" The woman shouted in shock and fear. She couldn't comprehend how the boy known as Death-seeker could do this. He looked no older them her daughter.
"Now ready to listen?"
Adam nodded.
"Good. Now tell me everything about your world."
It took Adam a while to explain everything to the terrifying teen. Nonetheless, he was relieved he wasn't killed.
"Huh, alright, seems like I have a lot to work to do, huh, partner?" Death-seeker asked his partner out loud.
If one could see the woman's face, they'd see her eyes widen like saucers as she couldn't believe what she was hearing.
"Indeed, now what shall we do about the white fang?"
Death-seeker looked at the confused yet terrified Faunus and smirked, causing the white fang leader to shiver.
"It's your lucky day Adam. You get to live." he paused, "for now."
"T-thank you."
"Don't thank me yet. My kindness comes at a cost."
Adam looked at the teen in confusion.
"Don't worry about it. When I need you, ill find you." The teen got up from his seat.
"Where are you going?"
"Hmm, I guess I can tell you something considering I killed some of your people." the teen turned to face Adam. "It's obvious I'm not from here, and if I could return to my home, I would've already, but since that ain't the case, imma make some 'friends.'"
Adam scoffed and rolled his eyes. "And why does someone like you need friends? You don't seem like the type to need them."
"True, but I'm severally weakening; I'm in unknown territory, and I need allies in high places if I'm going to get anywhere."
Adam nodded at his response and tossed the boy a device. "You're going to need that then. It's called a scroll. It can be used as a phone, computer, a camera, and if you get bored, a gaming device."
Death-seeker looked at the device and then nodded at Adam. "Until we meet again." after that, the teen walked out of the building.
In the middle of nowhere
Now that the teen is away from the white fang's location, he decides to talk to the new voice in his head. "So who's the lovely sounding woman I heard earlier?"
"What, you can actually hear me?" The woman asked somewhat cheerfully.
"Death-seeker and I could hear you just decided not to interact due to the situation, but now we're alone." The other voice replied.
"Oh, I guess that makes sense..."
"So can I know the name of the beautiful sounding voice?"
"Im..Im..Summer Rose..."
"A pleasure to meet you, Im Elridian Vero Narakas, but just call me El for short, and the other voice you hear is Soul Shatter." He replied happily. "So im assuming you have questions?"
There was silence for a few moments, but then Summer broke it, "WHAT THE FUCK DID I JUST SEE EARLIER?!! WHERE ARE YOU FROM, IF NOT REMNANT?! AND WHY WERE YOU SO CAUSAL ABOUT KILLING SO MANY PEOPLE?!!" She asked rapidly, almost bursting the teen's head open with how loud she was.
He gently rubbed his temple. "To answer your first question, the being you saw that slaughtered a bunch of white fang members, Soul Shatter; he's my partner, but he's a part of me in every way you could imagine, but most importantly, he's all the family I got left now." He paused for a moment. "To answer your second question, im from a universe where war is a constant, and it got so bad to the point where a genocidal nihilistic maniac took drastic measures to end the war permanently."
"..did he accomplish it."
"Yup, by destroying everything that ever existed. I tried to stop him, but..you see how that went.." He said sheepishly.
"So you're the last of your kind?" She asked, feeling sympathy for the boy.
"Yup, last of my species, last member of my universe, and the last inheritor of a Singularity."
She looked at the boy for a moment. He had long spiky black hair, copper color skin, a lean yet extremely muscular build that was from years of training and had bright red eyes that were similar to a Grimm's in terms of brightness. He certainly looked human, looked unnaturally beautiful? Summer didn't know how to describe it; Elridian just didn't fit the average or above-average beauty standards. If she were alive and didn't have a husband, she probably would've jumped the boy herself.
"If your not human, what are you?" She asked curiously.
"Im, a Void walker, a species of humanoids that love fighting, fucking, power, conquering and were the only known species that could fuse with Singularities."
Before she could ask what a singularity was, the teen beat her to the punch, "and a Singularity is an extradimensional god-like species that are attracted to beings of chaos."
"Is that why they choose your species?"
"Yup"
"...so does that make you a god or something?"
"If we're gonna get technical, then yeah, I was one but only due to Soul Shatter. If it weren't for him, I'd be dead by now."
Summer was overwhelmed by all the information that was causally given to her but had one important question to ask. "So from what I know so far, your weakened to such a degree that it will take you sixteen years to get back to your original state, am I correct?"
"That is what Soul said."
"A lot can happen in sixteen years, El, and how you said you were gonna make friends concerns me. What are your plans precisely for Remnant?" She asked somewhat aggressively.
He thought for a moment before replying and decided to be honest as she'd find out either way, "Summer, Im not like my people where I wanna kill, fuck, and conquer everything I see. I want stability in my life, but for that to happen, im gonna have to do a lot of questions things to get to that point. I'll kill who deserves death or who gets in my way, and I'll take whatever I want when I want. However, I can be reasonable depending on the situation. Think you can deal with that?"
She was silent for a moment, but a minute later, "Yes." She said softly, knowing she had no choice in the matter.
"Good, now do you know the direction to the closest City?"
Vale
Before he got to Vale, he encountered some Grimm along the way. A few hours later, he got to the City and walked around the city of the vale. Death-seeker couldn't help himself but stare at the planet's moon. He found it oddly comforting that he wasn't the only thing around that wasn't broken, and in his opinion, he saw the moon all the more beautiful. It was sad, considering the city he was in was complete shit but still had its own 'charm. The teen didn't have much to say after that, as the only thing on his mind was he wanted some action, and he needed it badly.
And as if some supreme deity was reading his thoughts, he saw several armed men in suits entering a shop called "From dusk till dawn." The teen grinned and rushed towards the shop with two swords appearing in his hands. Then as he got close enough to the shop, he saw one of the armed men going through the window, shattering it into pieces. The boy would've been disappointed, but a girl around his age stood a few feet away from the unconscious man.
She was short, fair-skinned, had silver eyes, and had short black hair with red highlights. Her attire, much like Adams, was primarily black with red, complimenting it. She wore a red hood and had a silver rose emblem attached to her side. However, what caught his attention was the giant scythe she wielded.
Summer gasped, "Ruby?..."
"You know her, Summer?"
"Thats Ruby, my daughter.."
"Well, Summer, I think im in love with her daughter." He chuckled with a grin.
Summer narrowed her eyes at the boy too, but he couldn't see it. "Your lucky I can't smack you."
"Or stop me from getting with Ruby!"
There was nothing but silence for a moment until his partner replied. "Teenagers."
"Agreed." Summer replied with a long sigh.
Death-seeker smirked but noticed the girl was looking at him. He smiled at her, and she smiled back. The red-eyed teen appeared right beside her, catching the girl off guard.
"Names Elridian."
"Ruby Rose." She lightly blushed.
"Oh no, I already see it!" Summer groaned.
After introducing themselves to one another, several armed men rushed toward them, and Elridian quickly dispatched them before anyone could react, causing ruby eyes to widen in glee.
"OH MY GOD, YOU'RE FAST. WANNA HAVE A RACE LATER?!" The girl asked, leaving a trail of rose petals behind her as she was nearly nose to nose with a red-eyed teen causing him to grin.
"Sure, but you gotta do something in return."
"OK! WHAT IS IT?! WHAT IS IT?!"
Elridian smirked as he had the girl where he wanted her and slowly leaned closer, causing the girl to turn red. "Gotta give me a kiss," he said flirtatiously.
Ruby's face was now the same color as her hood as no one had ever been this direct with her before, let alone flirt with her, and it didn't also didn't help that Elridian was a good-looking guy.
"I-i uh um uh-"
"Well, since you two are busy, ill just do us all a favor and-" before the orange-haired man could finish, he quickly raised his cane and shot at the two teens. The teen moved out of the way and looked to see the man disappear. Both teens looked around to see where the man was, but Elridian quickly spotted him climbing on a ladder. "He's heading towards the roof."
Ruby nodded and looked at the owner of the shop.
"You ok if we go after him?"
"Uh-huh." was all the elderly man could reply.
"Alright, let's-" she turned to see Elridian was gone. "and he's already up there." ruby said awkwardly.
"Glad to see you made it," Elridian said with a playful tone.
Ruby glared at the boy. The teen thought it was pretty adorable. "You left without me!"
"Don't worry, my little rose. I'll gladly make it up to you later."
Ruby blushed at her nickname and muttered. "Better."
"RUBY, NO?! NOT MY BABY GIRL!!" Said Summer, which caused Elridian to chuckle lightly.
Elridian smirked and looked at the orange-haired man. " So will you come quietly, or will I have to skin you alive? Either way makes no difference to me."
"Well, aren't you a violent one.'"
"You know it." A sword appears in the red-eyed teen's hand. "Now, make a choice."
The Oranged-haired man smirked." How about-" a large aircraft appears, and the man quickly enters it and tosses a grenade toward the teens. "screw off!" then he shot at the grenade, hoping to take them out but before anything could happen an older blonde woman appeared protecting them from the blast.
"I'm just meeting all kinds of people today, aren't we?" Elridian commented.
"ITS GLYNDA!!" Summer shouted happily.
"Indeed, we are Death-seeker."
"Who are you talking to, Elridian?"
He looked at the cute silver-eyed girl and smiled. "I'll tell you later. Now let's watch the show."
"Shouldn't we help her?"
"Nah, she's got this." He replied, making his weapon disappear.
Police Station
After the short battle, the orange-haired man escaped with a woman wearing a red dress. Then Elrid and Ruby were brought to the police station and put into one of the interrogation rooms.
"You alright, little rose?"
"No, I'm nervous! And really could go for some cookies right now!"
Elridian chuckled. "Well, then we'll get some cookies later then."
"YAY!!!"
Both turned their heads to see the woman who brought them here in the first place.
"So, can we go now?"
The older woman glared at him, and Ruby was scared for her and her new friend's safety.
"What you two did was incredibly reckless and dangerous!" she scolded.
Elridian scoffed." Please, that wasn't even child's play. I've faced hordes of creatures of unimaginable horror that would either eat you, kill you or rape you! Hell, sometimes it was all three at the same time! So don't tell me shit about this being dangerous!" Elridian barked back.
"Jeez, and I thought my childhood sucked." Summer commented.
Both women stared back at him, complete shock and horror across their faces.
"I'm so sorry that you had to go through that, Elridian!" Ruby shouted, hugging him. It amused him, but he wouldn't decline a hug from a pretty girl, so he returned the hug.
After a moment, they broke the hug.
"If I may ask, where are you from exactly?"
"From a different dimension," he replied truthfully, seeing there was no point hiding his origins.
Both were surprised by his response.
"Excuse me? I don't understand, Mr-"
"Rath," He lied," and I'm not from your dimension. I can't tell you much as even I don't know myself, but I was sent here by someone or something for unknown reasons that I don't care to find out."
"Well, I'm sorry, Mr.Rath, but I find that extremely difficult to believe. Do you have any proof to back up your claim?" the woman asked, placing her hands on her hips.
"Sure, Ruby, you might wanna back up. You are about to meet my partner." The red-eyed teen said with an ominous grin that sent shivers down the two women's spines.
Doing what she was told, she quickly appeared by the older woman. Despite the blonde looking cold and calm, ruby noticed the woman slightly shaking. It terrified the silver-eyed girl as whatever could scare a veteran huntress was something one shouldn't cross. The girl felt lucky that Elridian was on her side.
For a moment, Elridian appeared normal, but a second later, bright red marks appeared across his face and clothing. His eyes burned red with traces of red electricity violently flowing from the sides of his eyes, but then it all changed into an eldritch-like creature. It was unlike anything that the two women had ever seen. It towered over the both of them; it had no eyes, no nose or ears, and had a spine-chilling smiling that could send experienced huntsmen/huntresses or Grimm running. Its body was blood red, with spikes protruding from its face, back, arms and shins. Lastly, it had claws that looked like they could tear through nearly anything, but the two women didn't know if that was good or bad.
"I'm Soul shatter pleasure to you," he said in a deep raspy voice.
Then a second later, Elridian transformed into his normal state.
"So, what did you guys think?"
Both women stood terrified, silent, not wanting to move or say anything as it felt like death was staring them in the eyes. Then an older man appeared behind them with a plate of cookies in one hand with a glass of milk in the other and placed them on the table.
"I won't lie to you, Mr. Rath, that display of power was terrifying, but it has the potential to do great things."
Elridian transformed back. "And who might you be?"
"Im, Professor Ozpin, headmaster of beacon academy, and id like for the both of you to come to attend my school."
"I'll go if my little rose goes."
Both males looked at the silver-eyed girl waiting for an answer. She and the older woman broke free of her shock, and ruby's terrified face shifted into excitement, forgetting what she saw earlier.
"YES, YES, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!" Ruby yelled, hugging Ozpin and then hugging Elridian. "This is going to be awesome!!!"
Elridian smiled. "I couldn't agree with you more, little rose."
"However.."
Both teens turn to look at the headmaster, who has a serious expression on his face. "I need to know your intentions. The power you displayed is something that I haven't seen before in a very long time, and even I find myself uneased by it."
He didn't hesitate to answer. "Eh, what I want is pretty simple. I wanna kick ass, make friends, and eventually have a family." It wasn't a lie but wasn't the full truth either.
Ozpin looked at the boy for a moment. "I see. Well then, as long as you are cooperative, I see no issue." The headmaster then smiled at him.
Elridian smiled back.
Several hours later
"Look at the view, El!!!" Ruby said while planting her face on the window staring in awe of beacon academy. "it's huge!!"
"I can see where your daughter gets her enthusiasm."
Summer laughed, "Yeah, thats my little girl.."
He smiled at Ruby's innocence, something he lost long ago. "Sure, is my little rose."
Ruby turned around with her cheeks red and looked at Elridian shyly. "Why do you keep calling me that? Not that I don't mind. I like it. No one has ever talked to me like you have before." she then looks down at her feet, pressing her fingers together.
"Well, I thought I was pretty obvious." He smirked
Summer glared at him.
Ruby looked back up at the teen, confused.
"I like you, Ruby." He said casually.
His response caused her to go immediately go red as she never thought a boy would outright admit they liked her. "B-b-but you barely even know me! We're still practically strangers, and ive never been-" before she could say anything else, Elridian gently kissed her, then pulled away after a few seconds.
"I wanna be happy for my daughter, but I also really wanna tear your head off." Summer growled.
Elridian grinned on the inside.
She placed her fingers on her lips and looked at Elridian with her eyes glowing brightly. What she didn't expect to see was his eyes shining brighter than stars as red sparks burst from the sides of his eyes.
"I'll be honest with you, little rose," he paused," when I see something I want, I don't do the whole waiting game. I don't second guess my feelings or deny them. If I feel something, I embrace it. If I want something, I take it, and I won't let anything get in my way. If I see a threat, I take it out. Fuck making things overly complicated," he placed his hand on her right cheek, "when I saw you, I wanted you..No, not the right word. I need you."
She and her mom's eyes widen." You need me?" She asked quietly.
He nodded. "I need you by my side, and I need your help. I promise as long as Im alive, I will do everything in my power to make you happy, protect you, support you, I will always be by your side in battle and life, but most importantly, I will never give up on you..so will you be by my side?"
Ruby smiled."Of course, so long as you promise, then ill do the same!" she excitedly replied.
"Good, glad I can count on you." Then he pressed his lips onto her kissing her passionately, and she melted into it, forgetting the world around her.
"AHEM!"
Ruby broke the kiss and quickly turned around to see her sister smirking, and her entire face went red.
"OH MY GOD, ITS YANG!!!" Summer really needs to stop shouting. It's giving the void walker a headache.
"Yang?"
"Stepdaughter."
"Ah."
"Hey yang," ruby said sheepishly." guess who's coming to beacon!"
"No, no, you're not getting out of this; who's this hottie, and why didn't you tell me about him?" the blonde said while looking at Elridian up and down.
Summer sighed. She should've expected this by now.
"Names Elridian Rath pleasure to you," he said while holding his hand out.
Yang smirked and shook his hand" Yang Xiao Long Ruby's older sister."
Elridian grinned and gently kissed Yang's hand. "Well then, it's a pleasure to meet my little rose's sister."
"Wow, hot and quite the charmer, better careful, sis, I might steal him from you." the purple-eyed teen said teasingly.
Summer groaned, "El."
"Yes," he asked in fake innocence.
"Don't even think about it," she said with a growl.
He smirked.
Ruby glared at her sister, knowing yang would attempt to do that.
She grabbed Elridian arm and pressed herself against him. "Mine!"
"Well then." Elridian chuckled. "I didn't know you were the possessive type, little rose."
Ruby blushed and rubbed the back of her head sheepishly.
"So, pretty boy, how long have you and my sister known each other?"
"Barely a day."
"What?!" yangs eyes widened.
"Yup, we met fighting some thugs, chased their leader. He escaped, then got yelled out by some middle-aged huntress; then the headmaster invited us to attend beacon academy, we accepted, and boom, here we are, becoming monster slayers!" Elridian explained excitedly.
Before yang could say anything, a hologram showed a familiar face.
"Roman Torchwick, huh? Guess we'll be doing some hunting later."
"Indeed, Death-seeker." Soul shatter replied.
After that, Elridian and Soul shatter began to plan with Summer listening to their conversation as she had nothing better to do, leaving both sisters in the dark. Then after several minutes went by, the girls started to get worried for Elridian, so a pair of purple eyes appeared in front of his red ones.
"You alright, pretty boy? You spaced out on us for a while there."
"Yeah, I'm fine, just thinking that's all."
"What you thinking about Elridian?"
"Hunting."
Both sisters looked at one another and shrugged.
Beacon
Now that the three teens are on the academy grounds, the two girls couldn't help but be in awe, while Elridian couldn't care less as he was much more interested in the weapons being carried around by the other students.
" A lot of cool weapons. Too bad there primitive compared to my dimensions."
Both girls looked at him.
"Oh yeah, pretty boy, then why don't you put your money where your mouth is and show us what you got." yang said, pressing her finger against his chest.
Elridian smirked as a red portal appeared on his left side. Yang's eyes widened, and her jaw dropped to the ground. Ruby jumped around in excitement. Elrid put his hand into the portal and began to pull out a sword. Red electricity was covering him while he continued to pull out the weapon. The bottom of the sword had a small double-edged blade; the handle was wrapped in red cloth. Then what felt like an eternity, Elridian had the entire sword out for all to see. The sword wasn't long or short but good enough for the red-eyed teen. It was double-edged, had glowing red engravings of unknown symbols, and red electricity began to engulf it violently.
"Now thats one hell of a weapon there," Summer commented and was in awe of the sword.
Elrid then held it out towards ruby. "Wanna hold it?" he asked with a shit-eating grin.
"YES!!!!" Ruby quickly grabbed the sword out of his hand. She and yang looked at it in amazement. "Wow, it's so light.."Ruby carefully gave it a couple of swings. "What's your swords name?" she asked while still swinging it around.
"God-Eater."
"Why God-Eater El?" Summer asked.
"Well, isn't it obvious? It literally kills gods" He chuckled on the inside.
"Interesting name, pretty boy."
"I feel-"
"Invincible." Elridian finished for Ruby.
"Yeah." She then reluctantly gave God Eater back to Elridian, who then placed his sword back into the red portal.
"Now, shall we head to orientation, ladies?"
"Yes!"
"Actually, Im gonna go catch up with some friends later!!" Yang, in the blink of an eye, disappeared.
Summer shook her head in disappointment.
"Yang!!!!"
"Guess it's just us."
Ruby looked at Elridian and smiled. "Yeah, guess so." She then grabbed his hand, and both ran towards the Academy, but before they could do that, they accidentally ran into a cart carrying a bunch of luggage.
"What are you two doing?!!"
Both turned around to see a pale-skinned girl teen who had pale blue eyes with a scar running down her left eye vertically and had white hair.
"Sorry about that, M'lady. We didn't mean to run into your luggage" he quickly placed all of her belonging onto the cart. He held out his hand, giving her a gentle smile. "May I know your name?"
She slightly narrowed her eyes at the teen but shook his hand. "Weiss Schee heiress to Schnee Dust company."
"Ugh, Schnee's.." Summer really didn't like Schnee's.
Elridian knowing the drill, kissed her hand gently and looked deep into her pale blue eyes. "Lovely name for a lovely girl. Names Elridian Rath."
Little did Elrid know Ruby and Summer were glaring daggers at him.
Weiss slightly blushed and pulled her away somewhat reluctantly. "Well, all is forgiven then, but please be careful next time. I wouldn't want any of my valuables breaking."
"Of course, m'lady." Then a white lily appeared in his hand, and he placed the flower behind her ear. "Looks good." He smiled at her before turning around grabbed Ruby's hand gently. "Until we meet again." Then both teens walked away from the heiress.
"What was that?" Ruby asked angrily.
"Awe, is my little rose jealous?" He teased.
"Shut up," Ruby replied with red cheeks.
He had her face him and looked into her silver eyes. "It doesn't hurt to be nice. Plus, would you prefer her to bitch at us?"
"Guess not still not happy about it."
"Neither am I," Summer added.
He kissed her forehead and brought her into a hug. She, in return, wrapped her arms around him, hugging him tightly.
"How am I already so attached to you?" She asked, and her mother was wondering the same thing.
"My mom said I always had a particular effect on women." He chuckled
"No kidding."
"Guess she wasn't wrong." Then a thought popped into her head. "She must be really worried about you right now," she said sadly.
"Doubt it. My mom died when I was four," he replied, not knowing how to feel.
Ruby hugged him tighter. "I'm sorry. My mom died too when I was younger."
"Don't be sorry we weren't that close anyway, but come on, still gotta get to orientation."
Ruby looked at him with sad eyes but shook it off.
Both walked away but little did they know a certain Faunus was watching them.
Night
After an eventful day, it was late at night, and many were heading to bed, but a few decided to stay up for a bit longer.
"Hey Goldie, any good at braiding hair?"
"Of course, pretty boy."
"Good need you to make a small braid on each side." The red-eyed teen replied while putting some of his hair into a short ponytail while leaving the rest to drop below his shoulders.
"Alright." Doing what she asked, she wanted to get to know the boy who won the heart of her hyperactive, socially awkward sister. "So, pretty boy, where you from?"
"From a planet called the 'deathlands,' you would've never heard of it, considering it's located in a different dimension."
Yang stopped for a moment and looked at him to see any trace of sarcasm. "You really aren't joking, aren't ya?"
"Nope, did you forget my little stunt earlier?"
She thought for a moment, and her mind was blown. "True, ive never seen anything like that happen before. I kinda thought it was a part of your semblance."
"Nah, don't have an aura or semblance. What I have is better than that?"
Yang scoffed. "That's rich!"
"He's not joking, sis," Ruby replied, sitting by them. " it was AWESOME and terrifying...it even scared Miss Goodwitch!"
Yang looked at Elridian like he had grown a second head. "SHIT, SERIOUSLY, YOU GOTTA SHOW IT TO ME!!" The blonde said excitedly.
"You'll get to see it in the morning when I tear apart a bunch of Grimm. For now, you have to wait."
Yang pouted. "No fair." Yang looked at her younger sister and then back at Elridian as she worked on his second braid. "So Ruby, make any new friends!"
"Sorta." ruby replied sheepishly.
"His name is Jaune Arc, aka vomit boy, also a wannabe ladies' man."
Yang giggled. "Better than nothing, I guess." A moment later, she finished the last braid. "And done."
"How do I look, ladies?"
"Hot as always." Yang gave him a wink.
"Looks great, El!" Ruby said with a blush.
"Awe, she's doing a 'you' summer," he chuckled on the inside.
Summer groaned.
"Good, I haven't had this hairstyle in a while." He looked around the room they were in, and his eyes landed on a girl wearing a bow. She had long black hair, had amber eyes, was fair-skinned, and was reading a book. "Speaking of making friends." Elridian nodded his head towards the amber-eyed girl.
Ruby glared at him, and Yang smirked at her sister's reaction.
"Hey, wanna make new friends or not?"
Ruby sighed. " Yeah, I do."
"Good, let's go introduce ourselves."
The three of them made their way there.
"Hey there!"
"Hi," replied the amber-eyed girl.
Elridian couldn't help but quietly laugh while his two female companions tried to converse with the disinterested book lover.
"Jeez, and I thought I was terrible at socializing," Summer said, watching this disaster of a conversation.
"So, what you're name?" Yang asked.
The girl sighed and looked at the two girls," Blake."
"Well, Blake, I'm Yang. This is Ruby," yang looked at Elridian, "and he's Elridian, my sister's boyfriend!" yang teased.
"Yaaaaang!" Ruby groaned.
"I don't hear either of you denying it," Yang smirked.
Ruby blushed, and Elridian exploded into laughter.
"WHAT'S SO FUNNY, EL?!" Ruby asked, glaring daggers at him while her cheeks were puffed. It was honestly adorable to the red-eyed teen.
"Oh, nothing," He chuckled.
Ruby stomped towards him and poked his chest. "Meanie," she replied before placing her head on his chest.
He laughed before kissing the top of her head. "Alright, let's leave the poor girl alone."
Both girls nodded, but before they walked towards their sleeping bags, Elridian stopped. "Actually, why don't you guys walk ahead? I'm curious about what book she's reading."
Yang shrugged, and ruby gave him puppy dog eyes which made him chuckle.
"I'll be back in a minute, alright?" He kissed her forehead to reassure her.
"Ok, better hurry."
"Of course." Then he made his way towards blake, and once he was by her, he leaned against the wall.
She glanced at him but continued to read her book. "Can I help you?"
"Depends. Are you a friend? Or are you an enemy?"
Blake, not expecting such a response lowered her book and looked at the younger teen, confused by his question. "Excuse me?"
"I saw you were watching us when I pulled out my sword, when I talked to the Schee heiress, when Ruby and I walked towards orientation and when yang was braiding my hair." He answered casually.
Blake's eyes widened. "How did you-"
"You're not as sneaky as you think, plus I have a three hundred sixty degrees view of my surroundings. For example, Ruby and Yang are watching us, and the Schee heiress is also looking towards us with a resting bitch face," he stated while looking directly into her amber eyes.
"Oh."
He then squatted down to her level and whispered. "I also saw your bow twitch."
Blake's eyes widened and began to go pale. Her reaction caused Elridian to grin ominously. "Hey, don't worry. I won't say a thing. I know how others treat your people, so I understand your pain."
She narrowed her eyes at him. "And how could you possibly understand?" Blake said somewhat aggressively.
"I may not look like it, but I'm also of a different species, and before you ask, I'm not a Faunus."
Her eyes slightly widened, and she raised an eyebrow. "Then what are you?"
He smirked. "I'll tell you eventually, but you still didn't answer my question. Are you a friend or foe?"
She thought for a moment and replied. "Friend." she slightly smiled.
He smiled back, and a strange black flower appeared in his hand. "Then please take this as a token of friendship."
She took the strange flower and smelled it. Blake smiled and looked at her new friend, with her cheeks being slightly red. "Thank you."
"No, thank you." He stood back up. "Well, better head back before Ruby drags me over there and gives me an earful." He chuckled.
She nodded.
"Later, black Orchid."
As he walked away, Blake couldn't help herself but stare at him out of curiosity and awe.
Ruby glares at him while yang, amused by her little sister's jealousy, can't help be feel jealous herself as she didn't exactly like how comfortable the bow-wearing teen got around Elridian.
"Yes, my little Rose?"
"You gave her a flower."
"And?"
"Why didn't I get one?" She asked as she childishly pouted.
Elridian smiled while rolling his eyes. "That's because it's a token of friendship. It's how my people did it back at home. Girls received flowers while Boys received a small knife." A small knife appeared in his hand. "I've had this knife since I was six." He smiled as he looked at the blade, remembering who gave it to him.
Who gave it to you?" asked Yang.
"It doesn't matter anymore." His smile disappeared as the knife in his hand disappeared, and he looked at Yang. "Speaking of token of friendships." A golden flower appeared in front of yang. "I forgot to give you your token, Goldie." he chuckled.
Yang blushed but gladly accepted the flower. "Thanks, Elridian..this means a lot to me."
"Hey, no need to thank me." He smiled and looked at Ruby. "Hey, little rose."
"Yeah, El?"
"Tilt your head. It's time I give you a token of my own." Elridian grinned sinisterly.
Ruby and Yang blushed at his implication while Summer glared at him.
Assuming the worst she gets in his face."Hey, don't be leaving Hickeys on my sister!" Yang accidentally shouted in rage, causing everyone to stare at the three of them.
Yang's eyes widened, and she blushed in embarrassment. "Sorry, ignore my dumbass."
She laid down.
Elrid laughed his ass off, causing Yang to glare at him. "Ah, that was fucking great, yang." He wiped away a fake tear. "Anyways, that's not what I meant. I wanted to leave a mark on her so that if she was ever in danger, I could track her down."
"Oh, ok! Then sure!" she tilted her, but on the inside, she was slightly disappointed she wouldn't be 'marked' in the other way.
His finger glowed bright red and began to engrave several symbols onto her neck. "Alright, do you feel any pain?"
"Nope!"
"Good, now people will know that you belong to me."
"What?
"Ya see, I could've marked you anywhere, but I decided the neck was the best place since it's more personal," Elrid answered with a shit-eating grin.
"Ugh, El!!"
"Oh, be quiet, don't act like you don't like it.
Ruby blushed and pouted. " Meanie."
Elridian smiled and pulled her down with him. Her head rested on his chest, and he wrapped his arm around her waist. While her face was red, Ruby couldn't help but smile and embrace it.
"Hey, El?"
"Yeah, little rose?" He replied with his eyes shut.
"I'm glad im yours."
He smiled. "Me too."
After that, he fell asleep happy, enjoying the sweet moment he had with his little rose Elridian knew this wouldn't last forever as, just like his old life, pain followed him.
"Hey, Soul."
"Yes, Summer?"
"Will my daughters be in any danger around him?" She asked, concerned.
Soul was silent but replied a second later, "it all depends on circumstance, but as long as they never betray him, he'll do everything within his power to defend them even if it means his life."
Summer was somewhat satisfied with the answer, but she would still worry.
"I hope so.."
