As Elridian walks around the halls of beacon, he sees a poor fellow male dealing with a hyperactive orange-haired girl who seems to have an obsession with devouring pancakes. It sent shivers down his spine as he saw some of the similarities she had to his little rose. The red-eyed teen would be sure to keep them separate for his and the pink-eyed man's sanity. After walking by them, he found the person he was looking for and couldn't help but smile.
"Hey, beautiful," The dimension-hopping teen said while grabbing his little rose by the waist and bringing her into a passionate kiss and completely forgetting yang, which caused the blonde to twitch dangerously.
Summer saw Yang's reaction and smirked, "Awe, little Yangs jealous!" she giggled.
"She can wait for a bit longer." He replied
Summer groaned. "Im still not happy about what you're doing, El."
"Hey, gotta do what I gotta do. Plus, it's not like im using the girls, and you know that."
Summer sighed. "I know."
After several moments of passion, he reluctantly broke the kiss but was met with silvers eyes as they looked into his red ones. While the scythe wielder was blushing furiously, Ruby couldn't help but get lost in his red orbs and smile at him.
"You excited to kick some ass?" He asked with a grin.
"Yup, no more awkward small talk or getting to know you stuff as crescent rose gets to do the talking!" She replied and released her hold on Elridian to show off her weapon.
"You tell them, baby girl!!"
Elridian laughed at Ruby's antics and kissed her on the forehead. However, he felt killing intent, so he looked around to see Ruby's sister glaring daggers at him, and if looks could kill, he'd be dead on the spot.
"Oh hey, Goldie, sorry about that. I was just excited to see little rose her and slaughter some motherfuckin Grimm!!"
For a moment there, Elridian could've sworn he had seen Yang's eyes turn bright red. She managed to calm herself before she began to throw punches at her little sister's boyfriend. "Your all good there, pretty boy!" she chirped, and an evil smirk appeared on her face. "But next time you do that, im expecting a kiss to Ruby shouldn't be the only one getting your attention." she winked at the Red-eyed teen.
He smirked, and Summer rolled her eyes, wishing she could smack Yang across the head.
Ruby glared at her sister and protectively held Elridian. "Mine!" Ruby shouted.
Both Elridian and yang exploded into laughter, causing Ruby to pout at them cutely.
Elridian, feeling slightly bad for teasing his little rose, kissed her on the cheek, instantly making her forget everything that transpired.
"Anyways, what were you guys talking about?"
"We talked about how Ruby should try to team up with other people, as I want her to
break out of her shell."
Ruby pointed her finger at yang angrily." AND I TOLD HER I DON'T NEED TO BREAK OUT OF MY SHELL AS THATS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!"
Elridian nodded in agreement. "Little rose ain't wrong people are overrated."
"HOORAY FOR INTROVERTS!!!" Summer raised her fist in the air.
Yang laughed. "That's rich coming from you, ladies man."
"Hey, in my defense, im literally from a different dimension. I have an excuse to make friends. She, on the other hand, has you and me."
"See, he understands!!"
Yang rolled her eyes at the two lovebirds.
As the two ruby and yang talk, Elridian hears the familiar voice of a particular heiress, so he kisses ruby before he goes to greet Weiss and happens to be talking to a beautiful redheaded girl.
"Hello there, M'lady."
"Ugh, the Schnee.."
Weiss recognizing that voice, smiles and turns to greet the red eyes teen. "Hello, Elridian. It's a pleasure to see you," she said sincerely.
"Likewise," he replied while giving her a respectful bow causing the heiress to blush and the other girl to look at him out of curiosity. He then turns to speak with the green-eyed teen. "Hey there, names Elridian Rath the dimensions hopper. A pleasure to meet your acquaintance, miss-"
"Pyrrha Nikos," She giggled. "And Please, the pleasure is all mine."
Elridian smiled and turned his gaze to Weiss. "So, M'lady, did you sleep well last night?"
"Why, yes, I did thank you." Weiss's smile seemed to glow brighter. "How about yourself?"
"Indeed I did. How couldn't I? I've already met so many interesting people and made quite a few friends." Elridian said happily.
"Well, that's good to hear," Pyrrha replied with a friendly smile.
He turned to face her. "Indeed it is, and please accept this as a sign of friendship." He extends out his hand, and a strange red and green flower appears in his hand.
She happily accepts his token of friendship and smiles at him. "Thank you. I'll be sure to take great care of it."
He smiled and nodded. "Well, I better return to my little rose." He bowed to both of them. "Good luck, M'lady and War goddess." he then walked away, leaving Weiss all giddy inside and Pyrrha slightly blushing at the nickname he gave her.
Emerald forest/ Cliffside
"For year's you have trained to become warrior, and today your abilities will be evaluated in the emerald forest." said the silver-haired headmaster.
"Now, im sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of teams. Well, allow us to end your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates today." Glynda stated.
"These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time at Beacon, so it is best you pair with someone you work well with. The first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years." Ozpin finished.
"See, I told you." said the pancake lover to the poor pink-eyed man.
"Make your way to the northern end of the forest. You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path, or you will die."
Summer sighed in nostalgia, "Good times."
This statement caused several reactions Jaune. It was fear, but for Elridian, it was excitement.
"Well then, if imma put some effort into this, im gonna make sure my favorite shirt doesn't get torn." Elridian then takes off his shirt and tosses it to the side, causing all the women except Glynda to turn as red as Ruby's hood.
Summer couldn't help but stare as well.
"Is that really necessary, Mr.Rath?" Glynda asked, somewhat annoyed by his actions.
"That's one of the few things I have left from home, so of course, it's necessary." He replied. "Besides, the wind feels nice." he smiled.
Ozpin just smirked but returned to his stoic expression. "Anyways, you will be monitored and graded for the duration of your initiation, but our instructors will not intervene. You will find an abandoned temple at the end of your path containing several relics. Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff. We will guard that item as well as your standing and grade you appropriately. Are there any more questions?"
"Yeah, um, sir-"
"Good!" Take your positions." Ozpin interrupted.
As the headmaster instructed, everyone got into positions, but one stood out from the rest, and that was, of course, the mysterious dimension-hopping teen. However, only four people have already seen the red-eyed teens shift into his Singularity form. However, what they saw next caught them off guard.
Red and Silver streaks of light violently emitted from his body which surprised the dimension-hopper, but he wouldn't overthink it. He would just chalk it up as a side effect of entering another dimension. However, the one shocking change was that his right eye was silver, causing Ruby, Summer, Ozpin, and Glynda's eyes to widen to unbelievable portions.
"Death-seeker, you have a silver eye." Soul shatter said in a monotone.
"Huh, cool?" Elridian replied, ignorant of what this meant.
Weiss was amazed by the sheer power that radiates from Elridian. A part of her knew he wasn't anything to scoff at, considering how he carried himself, but he was in a whole league that she hoped she could one day reach to gain his respect and, after a while of thinking, his affections but she would never admit that to another soul.
Blake's curiosity was piqued to the highest degree. She was amazed by his display of raw power and that his right eye was silver like Ruby's. She couldn't help but be terrified at the thought of the white fang gaining such an individual into their ranks, and she wondered what the mysterious boy's heritage was as it had never been recorded that there was another race native to Remnant. Whatever he was, she would have to find out and get close to the boy. This thought caused the amber-eyed girl to blush lightly.
Ozpin and Glynda knew what they saw back at that police station. They saw an ordinary teenage boy turn into a creature of horror that could give the oldest and most powerful Grimms nightmares. They knew he was a dangerous individual, but now matters are even more complicated as the boy possed a silver eye. It was well known silver eyes were extremely rare on Remnant, and it was a high possibility that Ruby was the last person on the planet to have such eyes. Having two silver-eyed warriors would be a tremendous advantage against the Grimm and, most importantly, Salem. They just hoped their faith wasn't misplaced, but the dimension-hopper was nothing but forthcoming with them, so for now, they wouldn't worry about it.
She was raised from birth to be a warrior. She trained day and night to perfect her skills in the art of combat and has never lost a fight before, and Pyrrha was nearly fearless until Elridian flaunted his power. After that, she felt what anyone else was feeling. She felt anxiety and fear but, oddly enough, excitement as she finally found someone who could beat her, and she desperately wanted to test her might against his.
Summer couldn't believe what she was seeing. It was like seeing something mythical or seeing a warrior from legends. She didn't have much to say due to shock; however, a large part of her is glad that Ruby is no longer the only one who possesses a silver eye.
Yang couldn't believe what she was seeing. She would've never thought her little sister would score such a powerful hottie but one with a sliver eye? Her little sister had some unbelievable luck which pissed her off.
Ruby wanted to say something but couldn't. It was like something was stuck in her throat. For the longest time, she thought her mother and her were the only ones with silver eyes, but here was Elridian with one of his own. Sure he didn't have two but having one was awesome, and Ruby was burning with excitement.
One thing that all teens had in common was that they wanted this dimension-hopping teen on their team.
A moment later, all the teens except Elridian were shot into the air.
"One. Two. Three." After that, Elridian leaped into the air, leaving spider web cracks in the ground.
Emerald forest
A smile appeared across his face as he landed right by his little rose and pulled her into a passionate kiss, and broke it to look into her eyes.
"Hey, teammate. A pleasure to meet you."
Ruby smiled. "The pleasure is all mine." Then she changed topics, "AND OF MY OUM YOU HAVE A SILVER EYE LIKE MINE HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE DO YOU STILL HAVE YOUR OTHER EYE OR IS IT PERMANENTLY LIKE THIS?!!!!" She talked so fast that Elridian almost didn't comprehend what she said.
"I have a theory on how I obtained a silver eye, but that can wait. We need to head out."
"Right!" Ruby said excitedly.
As the couple ran faster than the human eye could follow, they saw Weiss up head and stopped to greet her.
"Hello, M'lady."
"Hey, Weiss!"
Even though the heiress didn't like the cookie lover, she had to give Ruby the benefits of the doubt, considering someone like Elridian took a liking to her, much to the annoyance of the blue-eyed teen. So to get on his good side, she decided it would be best to be polite to the younger girl.
She smiled at Elridian. "Hello, Elridian, and I like your new Eye, by the way." She complimented, then the heiress looked at ruby with a half-smile. "Ruby."
"Alright, let's hurry up and get to the temple."
Both girls nodded, and they lightly jogged towards their destination.
A few minutes passed, and nothing interesting occurred, so Elridian started a conversation. "So, M'lady, may I ask what your semblance Is?"
"Of course, I can create glyphs; they allow me to do a variety of-" She was quickly cut off as hordes of Beowolves surrounded them.
While Ruby and Weiss were getting into their fighting stances, Elridian had an ominous grin.
"This is what im talking about, baby?!" Elridian said in a deep demonic voice that sent shivers down the two females' spines.
"E-El..what happened, your voice?" When he looked at her, Ruby and Weiss shrieked in horror as Elridian's right eye was just like the Grimm's pure red.
"Nothing that you need to worry about, my little rose. Just let daddy take care of the big bad monsters!" Then with a flick of his wrists, hordes of tendrils appeared from the portals, and they began to slaughter every Grimm nearby, tearing them apart piece by piece. All that could be heard were yelps of pain coming from the beowolves. The two huntresses almost felt pity for the beasts. A few seconds later, there were parts of Grimm scattered everywhere. Some were hanging or stuck on trees, others were lying on the ground, and some were dragged into the portals. Nonetheless, Elridian was happy.
"Elridian..what was that?" She asked while her body was shaking from what she had just witnessed.
He turned to face Weiss and replied. "That m'lady was power." There was a long uncomfortable silence between the three of them until the red-eyed teen decided to break it, "come on, let's head out."
Eventually, the three of them got toward their destination, and they saw two familiar faces.
"HEY, SIS!! HEY BLAKE!" ruby said, running up to her sister to hug her.
"Hey, sis." She then saw Elridian and Weiss, of all people. "Hey, pretty boy. Hey ice queen."
"Hey!" Weiss shouted.
"Hey there, Goldie and Black orchid having fun?"
Blake shrugged.
"Eh, nothing interesting so far. How about you?"
"Same here slaughtered a horde Grimm; I honestly expected more of a fight." the red-eyed teen said disappointedly.
They then heard screaming and turned to see a Grimm collapsing to the ground, where the pancake-loving teen climbed down the Ursa.
"Awe, it's broken."
"Nora, please never do that again," said the poor male who was heavily panting.
"Did that girl just ride on an Ursa?"
"I like her style." Elridian grinned.
"Me too!!" Summer chimed in.
"Of course you would, Pretty boy."
They then heard more roaring as they saw Pyrrha and Jaune fleeing from a deathstalker.
"Did she really just run all the way here with death stalker on her tail?" blake asked incredulously.
Elridian sighed in Nostalgia. "This brings back childhood memories. Good times."
Pyrrha was then tossed towards them, and Elridian quickly caught her.
"You alright there," He asked the green-eyed teen.
She blushed and nodded.
"Alrighty then" he lets her go.
"Great, the gang is all here now. We can die together," Yang said sarcastically.
"Not if I can help it." Ruby was about to rush towards the deathstalker but was quickly stopped by Elridian as he grabbed the end of her hood.
She looked back to see her lover, "El?"
"As much as I'd love to see you fight, little rose. I think you should let daddy handle this." Elridian said as he casually walked towards the deathstalker.
"What are you doing?! Are you insane?!!" Yang said dumbfoundedly.
"Yup!!"
"It's time to show them what true power is, Death-seeker."
"Ya know, for once, im excited to see your form!!! It's so TERRIFYINGLY COOL!!!" Summer.
He chuckled at his new partner's antics and replied to Soul, "Couldn't agree with you more, buddy." Then he unleashed the beast.
Everyone watched in horror as Elridian turned into Soul shatter. What Ruby saw back at the police station wasn't his complete form, as it was too massive to fit in such a tiny room. There Elridian was standing at ten feet six inches, had more spikes protruding from his body, had two large horns at the top of his skull, and had silver lines across his body which were new but most importantly, Soul shatter had wings. His wingspan alone was large enough to carry four teams of students on each side. None of the students could comprehend what they had just seen, and neither could the ones watching the initiation. However, they could understand that Elridian effortlessly tore off the death stalker's tail and then used its tail to impale the Grimm.
Before anyone could say anything, a Nevermore appeared, flying down towards them.
"El!! Look out!!"
Elridian response was to roar at the Nevermore and fly towards it, giving it the same treatment as the deathstalker as he ripped the top part of its skull off. Afterward, Elridian transformed into his original state and saw that everyone was looking at him in shock.
"Enjoyed the show?" he asked with a shit-eating grin.
"You..have a lot to explain." Yang, blake, and Weiss said at the same time.
After promising to explain everything to them later, they headed back to Beacon.
Where the teams would be selected, and to his surprise, a notable exception was made for him. Usually, a team would be comprised of four members, but for him, he was in a group of five and was made the leader of team RWBYE, much to his and the four girls' excitement.
"For once, im questioning Ozpin's decision." Summer pinched the bridge of her nose, knowing what Elridian would do being in a team with four attractive girls.
Dorms
After team selection, the five of them made their way to their dorm, which was significantly larger than the others for obvious reasons.
"Well, then today was one hell of a day!" he picked Ruby up bridal style and carried her to the nearest bed.
"El!!"Ruby shouted, blushing furiously.
"Not sorry, wanna sleep." he laid Ruby down on the bed and began to use her as a pillow.
"Hey, what about what we fucking saw earlier?!!" Yang shouted.
"I'll tell you when I wake up." He then passionately kissed Ruby, who melted into the kiss. A moment later, he broke it and rested his head on hers. "Night, my little rose," he said as he closed his eyes.
Ruby smiled and wrapped her arms around him as she also closed her eyes. "Good night."
And just like that, the two young lovers fell asleep, much to the annoyance and jealousy of the three older teens.
Summer groaned at the adorable scene.
Yang sighed. "Despite his scaring ass transformation, he's a pretty awesome guy and hot.." The blonde smiled.
"I agree he's quite intriguing. Ive never seen a semblance like his before."
"Oh, he doesn't have an Aure or A semblance," Yang replied reluctantly
Both older teen eyes widened and looked at Yang incredulously.
Yang shrugged her shoulders, "as he said, he'll tell us more later."
It was silent for a moment until the heiress decided to break the silence, "so Yang, how long have they been dating?"
"I think two days now. I haven't been keeping track."
Blake and Weiss's eyes widened.
"And they're already like that?" Blake pointed towards the young sleeping couple.
"Yeah, he has that effect on women." Yang chuckled.
"True, I mean..look at three of us," Weiss added nervously.
"Wonder if sis would be willing to sharing?'
The two girls looked at Yang as if she had grown a second head.
"What?"
Elridian mindscape
While everyone else decided it would be best to get some rest, Summer and Soul chose to get better acquainted.
"Sooo...I can do anything here, huh?" She asked the Soul who was standing right beside her.
"Indeed, the only thing that limits you is your mind." He then turned the empty
mindscape into a tropical forest, then into a wide-open field with the sun shining above them.
"Wow, I can actually feel the warmth of the sun..." Summer said quietly, "Is this what you do when Elridian doesn't transform into you?"
He nodded.
"Doesn't it ya know? Get boring?"
"I rather enjoy solitude. It puts me at ease," Soul looked at Summer, then looked back at the sun, "but im not against the idea of sharing it with you."
Summer was taken aback by his statement looking at him with stars in her eyes. "REALLY?!!!"
He nodded. "You're an entertaining individual. The humans back home were never this lively."
"What were they like?" Summer asked while playing with her hood.
He smirked at her antics but replied, "I believe Death-seeker put it best. 'A bunch of cock sucking cunts.' He always did have a colorful vocabulary." Soul chuckled.
She giggled and nodded her head in agreement. "So why do you keep calling him Death-seeker?" Not once has she heard Soul call Elridian by his actual name.
"It's relatively simple. The young void walker seeks death."
Summer didn't know how to reply to that revelation, so she let Soul continue.
"Whether he realizes it or not, he has a death wish. If there's a possibility, he'll get injured or may die..he'll throw himself into danger without a second thought. It's just the way he was born, unfortunately." He sighed.
Summer places a hand on his spiky shoulder, "I know I barely know him, but im sure he can handle himself. I was nowhere near his level when I was his age, so im sure he'll be fine."
He nodded, but a thought came to his mind, "When Ruby, Yang, Ozpin, and Glynda saw that one of his eyes was silver he got quite the reaction. Care to enlighten me?"
Summer froze for a few moments but reluctantly replied. "Well...before th huntsmen and the four kingdoms, there were a group of legendary warriors who all had silver eyes. The eyes allow us to kill Grimms with a single look or blind them or turn them into stone. It all depends on the type of Grimm."
"I see. Then that explains a lot, but if thats the case, why didn't the others react like you or the other four?" He asked, looking at Summer.
"Well, it was an ancient group of people, and being born with silver eyes is extraordinary rare amongst the people of Remnant, " she paused, " add the fact it isn't much known about us and that we're being hunted down to extinction doesn't help our case either." Summer growled at the last part.
"I see then, in a way, Death-seeker and individuals are similar."
Summer tilted her head in confusion. So Soul decided to elaborate, "back home, only two individuals with red eyes can coexist simultaneously."
Summer's eyes widened. "Woah..."
"It's how Death-seeker and I came to be, as Singularities saw them as the ultimate beings of chaos, and we're the only ones worthy of inheriting our power."
"So does that mean Elridian...is a bad person?" She shuttered at the thought.
"Not necessarily, as he said, he's on the grey side of things and will only kill if one is deserving of death. The same can't be said for his older brother, though."
"He had an older brother?"
He nodded, "a real cunt he was. Fortunately, he's dead, but unfortunately, our home was destroyed in the process, but one universe being destroyed is better than all of creation evaporating."
Summer's mouth dropped to the floor. "What do you mean by that?"
"There's a reason why there are only two individuals with red eyes. One is to persevere creation, and the other seeks to destroy it. There must always be a balance."
"So Elridian perseveres creation?" She sighed in relief, "THANK GOD MY DAUGHTER ISN'T DATING A GENOCIDAL MANIAC!! YOU KNOW HOW TERRIFYING THAT WOULD'VE HAVE BEEN FOR ME?!!."
Soul chuckled. "I could only imagine."
