'Be on your guard, I can sense that the power within him is more active now than it was before. Perhaps it would be more accurate to say that it has 'awakened'.' was the warning that Sothis gave her the moment Byleth decided to approach Robin.

After her talk with the Archbishop which involved a history lesson about what the red canyon, Zanado, used to be before it became a ruin as they walked through the main building of Garreg Mach, Byleth decided that she might as well visit the amnesiac man in the infirmary just to see how he was fairing… and also to see if he had survived Seteth's interrogation.

She was admittedly a little surprised when she found him talking to no one in particular but after what she sensed earlier when they fought against the bandits as well as what Sothis had just warned her of, Byleth was starting to think that she might have an idea of what the cause of this man's strange behaviour could be.

"… How much of that did you hear?" the man asked once Byleth was standing next to the bed he was currently occupying.

"When you asked how it was supposed to be your fault" Byleth answered honestly, seeing that Robin didn't appear to be trying to hide the fact that he had seemingly been talking to himself.

'What do you mean by it has awakened?' Byleth decided to ask the girl in her mind while waiting for the white-haired man to say anything else, preferably to explain who it was he'd been speaking to… though admittedly it wasn't really her business to know that in the first place.

'That should be obvious. Earlier, I didn't sense anything from the boy until he had cast the lightning spell. You and I both felt it but afterwards, the power… or should I say the presence disappeared. But now, I can sense it again, stronger than it was before.' Sothis explained though one word in particular immediately caught Byleth's attention causing her to narrow her eyes slightly without even realising it.

'Hold on, did you say presence?'

'I did… however keep in mind that I might be wrong. From what I could sense, what is inside that boy might be more than just raw power. It's just a possibility but there's a chance that the boy is in a similar situation to yourself.'

'What do you mean?' Byleth couldn't help but ask for some clarification since most of the situations that involved her weren't exactly normal to begin with from a heart that didn't beat to a girl that existed in her mind.

'Shouldn't it be easy for you to figure- ugh, fine. What I mean is that there is a possibility that an entity exists within him, just like how I exist within you.'

Even though she was sure that her expression didn't show it, Byleth was in fact rather surprised by what Sothis just suggested. She knew it was only about a month ago that she found out about this girl inside her head that she could converse with but part of her believed that she was the only one in all of Fodlan to find themselves in such a predicament… the thought that someone else, the person right in front of her nonetheless, may be the same as her in that respect felt… surreal.

"Byleth."

Byleth was brought out of her musing when Robin softly called her name. She tilted her head slightly to tell him that he had her attention as she waited for him to continue.

"Do you have a voice that speaks to you inside your head?" the white-haired man asked after a few seconds of silence, his expression indicated that he was considering whether it had been a good idea or not to ask that question.

If Byleth was surprised earlier, she was downright shocked now. She blinked twice as she silently pondered how she should go about answering his question. Should she answer truthfully? It… admittedly would feel nice to have someone whom she could confide in about this rather peculiar phenomenon she had been experiencing recently.

'If I'm being honest, I would advise against telling him about me until we can be fully certain of what we are dealing with here. However, in the end the choice is yours child. Though perhaps it would be wise to first ascertain why is it that he would suddenly make such an inquiry.'

Byleth silently agreed with the girl, mentally scolding herself for not considering that earlier. It would be wise to first figure out what Robin's motives truly were especially since a small part of herself still considered him to be rather… suspicious.

"May I know why you asked that question?" Byleth asked softly.

Robin chosen to stay silent as a thoughtful expression appeared on his face. Byleth, once again, patiently waited for him to speak up and she didn't miss the way he winced suddenly before the thoughtful look was replaced by an irritated one.

Eventually, Robin let out a sigh before he stared straight into her eyes.

"I don't know if you'll think I'm crazy or not but the thing is… I have this voice in my head that's been speaking to me. It's not my own voice, but a different one entirely that sounds a lot deeper and gruffer. He also said that there was something within you so that is why I asked."

'So, I was right. There is indeed something that is one with the boy and he appears to be capable of sensing my presence just like I did with his.' Sothis concluded, sounding a little proud of herself.

"Don't worry, I do not think of you as crazy… as matter of fact…." after debating with herself for a few seconds and trying to find any signs in the man's face that indicated that he might be just making it up, Byleth decided…

"I feel relieved in knowing… I am not the only one who has someone else residing within them."

And although she was sure that her expression didn't convey it, she really meant what she said. She had always been the odd one out, the one who had difficulty expressing herself, the one with a heart that didn't beat, and the one with a girl in her mind. It was… comforting to know there was an oddity about her that she had in common with someone else, it seemed that she wasn't alone at least in this regard.

"So is it true? There's really someone who talks to you in your thoughts?" Robin asked as his eyes sparkled with anticipation. Byleth simply gave him a small nod to answer his question but that was enough to cause Robin to sigh in relief.

"Thanks goodness, I thought I was the only- ugh!"

"Is everything okay?" she decided to ask while raising her eyebrow in confusion when the man winced all of a sudden.

"I'm fine, it just that the occupant inside me has an issue in keeping his voice down. He wants me to… I mean, he wants you to leave because of the presence within you; for some reason, it sickens him." Robin explained with a notably annoyed tone and Byleth couldn't help but be a bit grateful for her own mental resident. As much as Sothis liked to nag her, she at least never raised her voice all that much.

As if trying to prove her wrong, she found herself immediately wincing when Sothis' voice also went up by several octaves as soon as Robin finished his explanation.

'What?! How dare he call my presence sickening when we haven't even properly interacted yet! Does he have no manners?! What a brute!'

"I guess the voice in your mind didn't like what I just said huh? Sorry about that." Robin said with an apologetic look when he noticed the blue haired woman's slightly pained expression.

"It's fine… she's usually relatively calm but I guess because no one has ever insulted her directly, it never occurred to me that she is easily offended." Byleth replied with a shake of her head, barely making any attempt to hide her irritation.

Sothis merely grumbled something under her breath that even Byleth couldn't entirely register.

"So the one who talks to you is a she?" Robin asked while blinking, most likely not expecting for the one she spoke with to be a female.

"Yes and her name is-"

"We're back sir- oh professor! I didn't expect to see you here."

Before Byleth could tell the name of the girl in her head, Annette, who was carrying a tankard of water and a plate of sliced apples, and Mercedes, who'd brought a tray of warm fish soup, made their way the room. Byleth simply nodded to her students before giving them a confused look while staring at the food in their hands.

"Professor Manuela asked us to get something for Sir Robin to eat." Mercedes explained with a smile as she placed the tray on the table next to Robin's bed.

"And we didn't just picked out what tasted good, we made sure to take your nutrition need into account too." Annette announced cheerfully as she set her own load down next to the tray.

"Thanks you two, I truly appreciate it." Robin thanked the two girls as he grabbed an apple slice before promptly downing the whole thing.

"So, what were you guys talking about?" Annette said as she folded her hands behind her back.

Byleth couldn't deny that she was never the best when it came to lying… as matter of fact, she couldn't recall if she had ever told a single lie in her entire life. And obviously it was not a good idea to inform them about these voices that only she and Robin could hear in their minds.

'While your history of remaining candid is admirable it couldn't hurt to be able to fabricate a lie or half-truth when you need it either.' Sothis commented.

"I just asked her a little bit more about the Monastery in general." fortunately for her, Robin had already thought of a cover for them. Byleth simply nodded a little to 'support' his statement.

"Ah I see, perhaps we also can help the professor in answering some of the questions you have good sir." Mercedes offered to help while clasping her hands together.

"That would be great. Then to start off can you tell me more about the Officer's Academy? Byleth here is the professor of Blue Lions, right? And then Manuela is the professor of Black Eagles. Are there any other groups?" Robin asked as he grabbed another slice of apple, the man seemed to genuinely want to learn more about this studious institution.

Byleth remained silent as she allowed her students elaborate further on the academy and it's three houses. As Annette and Mercedes started to explain the difference between the three houses and what factors determined which one a student would find themselves in, all in a rather animated manner, Byleth couldn't help but wonder once again just who this man was. With the revelation that he also has a voice in his mind that spoke to him, more questions started to form in her head in regard to the white-haired man's forgotten past but one that she wished to know more about than anything else now was…

Did Robin's inner voice and Sothis have any connection? The fact that the voice found her presence to be sickening must have meant something at least, right?

'I still couldn't that believe someone, or something, would be so discourteous as to describe my presence to be sickening just like that.' Sothis huffed in her mind, clearly still unpleased by how the voice in Robin's head wanted her to leave due to that kind of reason.

'However, I need to admit that you raise a good point, there might very well be a connection between myself and that brute in the boy's mind… a connection that I might have forgotten. Still, until we can get a clearer picture, I suggest you keep your guard up around him.' Sothis advised after letting out another irritated sigh.

On that, Byleth agreed… the man was proving to be more of an enigma than what she previously thought.

"And this is the Training Ground."

Robin hummed as he observed the area that he just entered with the blonde-haired prince. It was later in the evening, where Byleth, Mercedes, and Annette had long since left him alone with the (annoying) voice in his head as his only companion. Some time after their departure, Dimitri returned to check up on him and to see if he was allowed to freely wander around the Monastery. After getting permission from Manuela, Dimitri wasted no time in fulfilling the promise he'd made earlier… to give him a tour around the Monastery.

To be honest, Robin himself would have preferred if he could have continued his conversation with Byleth a little longer but the professor had excused herself not long after her students' explanation because she still needed to write her report in regards to her mission with the students for administrative purposes. Though, she promised to visit him again later which hopefully would be when they could discuss their 'shared trait' in greater detail.

So far, they have visited various places around the Monastery from the classroom of the Blue Lions to the Greenhouse, and now they were standing in the Training Grounds. Thankfully it didn't appear to be very busy as there seemed to be only three people present in the area.

"It seems fairly empty." Robin decided to voice his thought as he started to walk toward the large empty field in the middle; no doubt that was where most of the physical training must take place.

'Astute observation.' Grima commented in his mind, his voice was dripping with sarcasm. Robin decided to simply ignore him.

"Indeed, though that's more because today is Saturday as well as the fact that dinner should soon be served in the Dining Hall." Dimitri explained as he followed the white-haired man alongside his retainer, Dedue, who obviously didn't want to leave him alone with the stranger.

Robin hummed once again as he approached what was clearly a weapons rack. There were various weapons stored in the rack from spears to axes to bows complete with sets of arrows. Obviously, each of the weapon's edge had been blunted as these weapons were clearly meant to be used for training purposes only… and now he found himself questioning how in the world he could know about that?

Without even realising it, his hand gently stroked the rack as he silently narrowed his eyes. He couldn't explain but there was something… familiar about this rack… no, not the rack itself but rather the sight of the weapons neatly stored there, it caused a familiar feeling to stir within him. As if looking at a large cluster of weapons wasn't an unusual sight for him.

"Is something wrong?" Dimitri asked upon noticing the man's expression, one that seemed to be a mix of a thoughtful and troubled look. It was the prince's voice that reminded Robin that he wasn't alone at the moment and made him shake his head slightly.

"I'm fine Your Highness… it just, seeing all these weapons line up like this somehow has given me… a certain sense of familiarity." Robin admitted while giving the blonde prince and his retainer a sheepish look.

"I-I see." Dimitri blinked, admittedly finding it a bit strange that a weapon rack of all things would seem familiar to the man. Then again, perhaps it wasn't as odd as one might think especially since it might indicate something about the man's past.

Seeing the confused expression on the boy's face, Robin decided to try making his statement clearer to the prince.

"It felt like… how to explain it… the sight of these-" Robin paused to gesture toward the rack as well as the training weapons inside it "-wasn't exactly something unfamiliar to me, like the sight of these is something that I might have seen on a regular basis."

"Ah I see." Dimitri said with a nod, now he had clearer context on what the man actually meant.

"Perhaps that means you did some work in a barrack in the past or a training field similar to this one. Perhaps it even may indicate you're a soldier or something similar." Dimitri pointed out as the man returned to observing the weapon rack, his hand seemed almost want to grab one of the weapons that were neatly stored there.

"Perhaps." Robin agreed with a nod. The idea of him formerly being a soldier wasn't exactly a far-fetched notion, after all, he did cast a spell earlier when they fought the bandits almost as if such a thing were natural to him… although he was unsure if he could even do it on his own or if he required Grima's help since it was clear the spell he'd cast earlier was fueled by Grima's power.

'As if you'd be capable of casting a spell that powerful correctly on your own.' Grima snorted in his mind. Robin once again chose to ignore the voice, not wanting to argue with him when he wasn't alone since the last thing he needed was for Dimitri and Dedue to see him arguing with no one.

"Then why don't we put that theory to a test?"

Robin, Dimitri, and Dedue immediately turned around when a new voice reached their ears. The source of the new voice was a rough-looking man who leaned against a nearby pillar with his arms crossed over his chest. The man's expression was much like Seteth's, carefully guarded, but Robin could pick up on slight intrigue in the man's sharp eyes that might or might not directed toward him.

"Captain Eisner." Dimitri immediately greeted the man with a quick bow, an action that Dedue mimicked in silence. Robin, on the other hand, raised his eyebrow when he heard what Dimitri addressed the man as. Eisner? Wasn't that also-

"This is Captain Jeralt Eisner, the current captain of the Knights of Seiros. He is also the father of our class' professor." Dimitri introduced the man to him with a small smile on his face.

Well, Robin seemed to be correct in his assumption that the man was related to Byleth based on their last name though he had to admit that unless someone had pointed it out, the thought of those two being father and daughter would never have crossed his mind… Byleth must have gotten most of her facial features from her mother.

At this point, he had half-expected the, rather annoying, voice in his mind to tell him to kill this man on sight just like how he told him to get rid of both Seteth and Byleth. Curiously, Grima was silent instead of growling or snarling orders to him… he would take that as a good sign.

"I heard my daughter brought a stranger back here, I was planning to see you for myself later in the infirmary but now is a good time too." Jeralt stated as he pushed himself off the pillar and uncrossed his arms before taking a few steps toward the white-haired man. Much like with Seteth earlier, Robin could see that Jeralt was staring at him rather intensely, most likely also trying to judge whether he was a threat or not.

"I was showing him around the Monastery since I promised to give him a tour earlier on." Dimitri explained why the white-haired man was here in the Training Ground instead of on the infirmary. Jeralt only gave the prince a brief nod before he once again focused his attention on the man wearing a heavy coat.

"I also heard that you're suffering from amnesia."

"That's right."

"Then why don't you grab one of those. You said the sight of a weapon rack was something you might have seen regularly, maybe something else will come to you if you interact with the weapons." Jeralt suggested while nodding to the training weapons. Robin merely blinked, noting that the man must have eavesdropped on his conversation with the prince, before he shifted his attention to the wooden weapons with an uncertain look. While he was unsure if something like interacting with weapons would even work in jogging any memories, he-

'Just get on with already worm! I'm getting bored with all of this!'

'If you're so bored how about trying to see how long you can stay quiet if you're looking for something to do.' Robin replied sarcastically while also, mentally, rolling his eyes. Grima merely growled at him in response.

Deciding that delaying any longer would probably result in Grima giving him a headache, Robin grabbed a training spear and was surprised to find that just like Jeralt said, there was a sense of familiarity with it although not as much as with the sight of the weapon rack in general or when he'd cast the lightning spell.

Robin loosened and tightened his grip on the spear before he pointed the spear forward, oddly feeling like he has done something similar before. He pushed the spear forward once before looking at it up and down again. It felt familiar but not familiar enough to him, like it was something he has done only once or twice.

Shaking his head, Robin put the spear back before grabbing the training axe. Unlike with the spear, he felt zero familiarity with the axe which might indicate that he'd never wielded it before. After swinging the axe a few times, Robin put it back on the rack as it was quite apparent that it wasn't going to stir any lost memories.

He then picked up a bow… before immediately putting it back when just like the axe; he didn't feel even a hint of a connection to it.. That just left one weapon…

Both Robin's eyes widened slightly once he grabbed a training sword. There was certainly something incredibly familiar with the way he wielded the sword, heck, his hand was automatically adjusting his grip as he tested the weigh of the wooden blade. Robin then swung the sword around a few times before he inhaled some air as he looked straight ahead when an idea came to him. Robin narrowed his eyes, trying to visualise an enemy in front of him, like the bandit from earlier, and then, much like when he cast a spell earlier, his body seemed to automatically reacted on its own.

Jeralt remained silent as he watched the white haired man take up a sword stance that he had never seen before. After making a quiet hum of consideration, the man then sighed as he grabbed a training spear before he stared at the youth who looked up at him in confusion.

Jeralt then nodded toward the field before he began to walk forward, not even looking back to see if Robin was following him or not.

"It would appear that he wishes to spar with you." Dimitri said when Robin merely stood on his spot with a confused look on his face.

"What? Why?"

The prince could only give him a confused shrug in response as he also didn't know why the captain suddenly wished to have a bout with the white-haired man.

Letting out a sigh, Robin decided to just go along with Jeralt's wish. He figured that he might as well see if he has some level of capability in combat other than his ability to cast a single spell though his reaction with this particular weapon seemed to suggest that he was, at least, familiar with wielding a sword.

"Despite the fact that you lost your memories, your body seems to still remember some of the things you have forgotten if the way you react to each weapon is any indication." Jeralt spoke up as soon as the white-haired man was standing a few meters in front of him.

"But what do you think fighting me will accomplish?" Robin asked while gesturing to the two of them.

"It's a spar."

"Same difference."

"You can think of this as my own way in interrogating you." Jeralt answered with a half shrug before he immediately assumed a fighting stance, seemingly really set on fight- on sparring with him.

'Finally some entertainment! Try to not get your arse kicked too much. In the likely even that you find yourself in a desperate situation feel free to cry and beg me to lend you some power. Depending on how pitiful you sound, I might be 'benevolent' enough to give you the edge you need to win.' Grima commented with a laugh, thankfully his laugh wasn't loud enough to pound his skull with a headache. So despite his arrogant words being damn near insufferable Robin preferred enduring them over the loud bellows that made his head ring like a bell.

Wait… how did he know what a bell was? He still found it bizarre how his head seemed full of so much general knowledge and yet not so much as a fleeting speck of information regarding his past.

'You make it sound like I was going to fight Jeralt to the death.'

'Unfortunately, it doesn't appear to be that kind of duel, at least then you'd have an excuse to kill him.'

Robin would have rolled his eyes if he had been alone. He then took a deep breath before trying to will his body to assume a fighting stance like earlier. Fortunately, his body listened and with that, Robin nodded his head to Jeralt to say he was ready. Hopefully, his body really did remember how to fight because his mind sure wasn't going to give him any pointers.

Robin's eyes widened for a bit when a vision of Jeralt lunging at him with a spear aimed toward his shoulder played in front of his eyes even though Jeralt himself hadn't moved from his spot.

'Fell Brand.' Robin tried to remind himself as, to his surprise, his body responded to the vision accordingly which allowed him to dodge the actual strike from the older man by stepping aside. Following his instincts, Robin immediately swung his sword upward with as much strength as he could muster and hit Jeralt's spear to send it upward while it was still outstretched, breaking Jeralt's guard. The man seemed to be surprised as Robin stepped closer and spun himself to gain momentum to deliver a slash aimed at Jeralt's torso but Jeralt still managed to leap back in time to avoid Robin's attack.

"Not bad." Jeralt commented once there was some distance between them before Jeralt immediately went on the offensive again. This time Fell Brand didn't activate itself which forced Robin to fully rely on his instincts to either block or deflect all of Jeralt's blow which the man delivered to him by thrusting his spear over and over.

Robin made a mental note, despite being assaulted heavily, about the fact that Fell Brand hadn't given any premotions after the initial one might demonstrate that it was not in effect constantly which meant in a battle, Fell Brand would only warn him of the initial attack and after that he'd have to rely on his skills afterward… or at least until the power gave him another warning.

'We only have to deal with such frustrating limitations because of your inferior mind! If it was mine then Fell Brand wouldn't be restricted like this.'

Robin ignored Grima to focus all his attention on his spar against Jeralt, noting that if even one blow managed to hit him then it would give Jeralt a huge advantage since it was clear the man's physical strength surpassed his and Robin wasn't sure just how durable his body really was.

Every one of Jeralt's strikes were fast and strong as the ones that Robin blocked always managed to push him backwards, and honestly, it would be a better option to put some distances between them for Robin to regain his composure instead of counterattacking.

Fortunately, Robin soon managed to leap back when one of the strikes that he blocked pushed him back even further, giving him the chance to actually put some distance between them. Obviously, Jeralt immediately chased after him, unwilling to give him any breathing room.

However, Robin was ready this time…

As Fell Brand had once again activated itself and given him a warning on what Jeralt about to do.

Robin raised his sword as Jeralt thrust his spear forward, aiming at the white-haired man's chest; but Robin managed to avoid the strike by half spinning himself out of the way before he slamed his sword onto Jeralt's spear, bringing it down and giving Robin a chance to immediately swing his sword upwards, hitting the unprepared Jeralt in his face. Unfortunately for Robin, his attack was only enough to push Jeralt back slightly but not enough to prevent Jeralt from spinning himself and delivering an immediate counterattack that Robin barely managed to block yet still managed to send him flying regardless.

"Not bad, not bad at all." Jeralt shook his head to get rid of the pain of being hit in the face while Robin landed on his back with a groan. Robin immediately stood back on his feet but was a little surprised to see Jeralt hadn't gone on the attack again and instead stood still on his spot, watching him carefully.

Then without warning, Jeralt suddenly charged at him once again and this time instead of playing defensive, Robin decided to meet Jeralt head on despite knowing that Fell Brand wouldn't help him until later. As Robin deflected an attack that was about to hit his shoulder, he couldn't help but think that it was strange how it felt as though this battle was something that he had done before, he felt as though he'd faced a similar opponent in the past. Perhaps Jeralt was right, his body clearly remembered more about his past or at least it remembered that he wasn't a stranger to fighting.

The two of them kept going for awhile, dodging, blocking, and deflecting each other attack though it was very clear that Jeralt was the one with the advantage as Robin was soon starting to get overwhelmed by the sheer might and speed of the captain of the Knights of Seiros. Yet despite that, Robin also didn't give up easily, managing to land more blows on Jeralt, thanks to Fell Brand, even if it seemed that his attacks barely slowed the man down.

Eventually, their spar came to an end when the sword that Robin wielded broke into two when he blocked yet another thrust from Jeralt which allowed the spear to finally hit the white-haired man's shoulder with enough force him to send him flying again. Robin landed on the ground with a painful groan as he held his shoulder, it felt as though it'd been dislocated though he was sure it was just the pain making him imagine that.

'Tch, you still lost despite using my power. Pathetic.' Grima taunted him, sounding more amused than offended, but Robin once again ignored him, hoping that if he paid no heed to the unpleasant entity's words then perhaps that would eventually stop Grima from constantly mocking or taunting him… or so he hoped.

"You okay?" Jeralt asked as he approached the young man. He was about to kneel down to check on the white-haired man but stopped when Robin sat up on his own with one hand still nursing his shoulder.

"Aside from the fact that my shoulder feels like it's been popped out of place, I'm fine." Robin replied before he tried to stand up but stopped when he realized Jeralt had offered his hand. Accepting the offer of help with a smile, Robin allowed Jeralt to help him back onto his feet.

"You're right, my body seems to remember who I was very well even if my mind can't recall. I must have fought quite a lot for my muscles to still remember about my own fighting style instinctually, huh?" Robin concluded as he looked down at his hands, clenching and unclenching his palms. Now the idea that he used to be a soldier seemed to be more likely than ever.

At first, Jeralt seemed to only watch him with an expression that didn't give away what the man was thinking but before he could open his mouth, the sounds of clapping attracted both Robin and Jeralt's attention.

Turning around, the two were greeted by the sight Dimitri, Dedue, and a man in silver armour that Robin didn't recognize; it was this man and Dimitri who were clapping.

"That was an amazing match. It has been a while since I saw anyone last more than a few seconds against the Captain's skills. I was really impressed." The man praised him with a genuine tone, quite enamoured with the skills that Robin displayed. Robin couldn't help but scratched his cheek sheepishly at the sincerity.

"It truly was quite a spectacle; I thought you were just a mage but it seems I was wrong. The way you handled the sword certainly shows you have experience with it, to think you're capable of fighting almost evenly against an opponent like Sir Jeralt. You're incredible." Dimitri added with a nod, clearly as impressed as the man in silver armour.

"You two will make me blush if you keep praising me like that." Robin muttered with a sheepish smile which prompts the man in silver armour to laugh aloud.

While this spar confirmed that he has some combat skills outside of spell casting, it unfortunately wasn't enough to draw any solid conclusions regarding his identity as he was sure there are tons of people out there that could fight like him. Still, it felt nice to be able to finally identify something useful he could do… even if he was unsure if having combat skills could land him a job.

'Why even bother trying to find a job when it's much easier to simply take what you want?'

'I am not becoming a bandit Grima.'

'And who's to say you weren't one in your past?'

As much as he wanted to reply that, Robin knew that the possibility was open as much as he wanted to deny it. Damn this annoying smartarse voice.

"In conclusion, while I am still unable to make a concentrate opinion on that man, I don't think he is faking his amnesia as I am unable to detect or found any hint of deceit in his expression, voice, or body language. Furthermore, Professor Manuela is also convinced that the man is genuinely suffering from amnesia. And as for his goal, it seems now he simply wishes to find a way to sustain himself by looking for employment." Seteth concluded his report. The man was still a mystery but for now Seteth was at least willing to believe that he was being truthful about his memory loss.

"Thank you Seteth." Rhea said with a small nod before she shifts her attention to the other occupant of the Audience Hall.

"Jeralt, would you mind telling me about your opinion of our guest?"

"Overall, my thoughts are the same as Seteth's. I don't think the boy is faking his amnesia though from our spar earlier, it was clear that while his mind has forgotten, his body hasn't. He was well-trained in the art of swordsmanship, very well trained in fact, even though he merely relied on his instinct, he held up against me better than most of the knights here." Jeralt reported with a small shrug.

Although Rhea made sure to not outwardly show it, she was rather surprised that someone who only relied on impulse could last longer than her knights against Jeralt, the strongest knight that ever served her up to today.

"I admit that I was holding back against him but I was seriously trying to pressure him. He managed to catch me off of a guard a few times and honestly I only defeated him because his weapon broke mid-combat. With better equipment, and preferably his memories, he might be able to hold up against me even longer. It's a sign that he might have constantly been involved in battle before losing his memories. But overall, I don't think he's a threat especially since he appears to wear his heart on his sleeve." Jeralt finished his report.

"I see. Then we are in agreement that Sir Robin is not a threat to the Monastery and its residents?" Rhea asked, seeing that they both appeared to regard the Monastery's latest arrival as someone who was being honest about their circumstances. Rhea might not have met the man personally but she trusted the opinion of both Seteth and Jeralt thus if they deemed the amnesiac man as someone who was not a danger then she was more than willing to welcome him.

"Very well, then I give him permission to stay at the Monastery until he can fend for himself." Rhea declared after the two men nodded their heads. There should be an empty room in the dormitory area of either the staff or the students so finding him a place to sleep wouldn't be the problem. The real issue was…

"Seteth, do you think there is any role you can offer him to at least start to help him gain the means to support himself?" Rhea asked, not really sure herself if there were any divisions within the Monastery that required more staff at present.

"About that, if I may Your Grace."

Rhea, as well as Seteth and Jeralt, turned their attention to the last occupant of the Audience Hall that hasn't spoken up until now. Rhea gave the man in silver armour, Alois, a nod to tell him he had her permission to speak up.

"Considering his skills as well as the fact that the students told me how he can cast a powerful spell that killed a wyvern in a single shot then if I may have your permission…"

Rhea raised her eyebrow in intrigue when Alois finished what he wanted to propose in regard to their guest.

"I want to take him under my wing."

I don't think that how Amnesia works but I have heard an object, especially one that is familar, can help jog memories. Also, while Robin doesn't mention it, unlike Divine Pulse that Byleth can activate consciously, Robin can't do the same with Fell Brand which activates on its own based on the circumstance around Robin. I hope you all like and enjoy the chapter, see you in the next chapter.
