What happens when a twelve year old dies in a car accident only to find himself as a baby elf that's the younger brother of a certain moonshadow assassin from his favorite cartoon?
He trains the greatest moon mage in history, of course. Even if he split his soul by accident that one time.

'Ugh, what happened? Where am i? Why is everything so blurry?'
"He's awake." Asked an unfamiliar voice softly
"*gasp* wait, let me call Rayla. She'll love him." Said another voice excitedly before running off to bring this 'Rayla'
'Rayla? Who are they talking about? Why can't i move?'
Soon, he heard the voice of an excited toddler.
"Here, Rayla, say hello to Zill, your baby brother"
For a split second he saw the clear image of the toddler's and suddenly, he remembered everything.
'What?!'

He used to be just a normal orphan whose orphanage was kind enough to set up entertainment for the kids in the shape of a smart TV.
On that TV, he watched a show called "The Dragon Prince."
He loved that show, but never did he think that he'd find himself inside it after a car accident.
Tiadrin and Lain, though he only got their names after dying, were great parents and in only year began loving them to death. Same went for his sister, Rayla. She always tried to act like the responsible older sister even if she didn't always succeed.
On top of his new family, knowing that he was now an elf, he obviously tried using magic shortly after gaining enough control over his arms and hands.
He's got some good news and some bad news.
Good news, he was a moon mage. Bad news, he accidentally split his soul in half by using the wrong spell rune and now the other part is possessing his shadow while still having both share one memory and a telepathic connection. Sadly, this wasn't the same for his personality as each half had its own incomplete personality that became more distinct from the other over time.
He later learned that moon magic can make connections with spirits and has some power over the veil between the living and the dead which his mistake took advantage of to force half his dead soul to become a spirit possessing his shadow. Whether it's good or bad, the same spell could never be replicated no matter how hard he tried.
The family called Zill's living shadow, Shade. They believed it was a guardian spirit watching over him. Which, with the half personality Zill inherited from the original soul, he really needed.
Alas, with all of this, he still loved his new life and family and with his knowledge of the future he'll do all he can to help them.
This is his adventure.
