I rewatched the Idiot's Lantern the other day, and was really struck by the look on Tommy's face in one particular scene... "All of time was roaring in anger in that face."

It's after Berlin, 1939, that the Doctor realizes he's running out of time, and already run out of lives. Discussion of potential character death, mentions of Amy/Rory and Doctor/River, alludes to some things discussed in-show in S7, but set after "Let's Kill Hitler", fairly angsty with a dash of comfort

When Rose gets into a fight with Mickey, she goes to a local pub to think and get some space. Little does she know that the woman who sits down beside her is more connected to her than she could ever imagine. When River walks into the pub, she never expects to run into the girl that she has heard so much about.

The baackstory of the day the Doctor left his home with Susan for Earth.

The Tenth Doctor, traveling alone after the Waters of Mars, investigates reports of a mysterious planet that kidnaps and artificially ages lonely men. What he discovers proves to be difficult to resist.

Reality is a lie, the future is the past, dreams are just dreams and roses cannot last. With the Doctor floating aimlessly through the stars and Rose held captive by unknown perpetrators and her own dreams, will the Doctor realise what matters most? Will her captors bringend to life as they know it? Just how can a broken man's consequences be shattered - forever?

Rose and Hand-Man have finally grown their own TARDIS from the coral Donna and the Tenth Doctor gave them. The ship is stubborn, rejecting him because he is part human. When the Doctor tries to scan a hair left on one of Rose's shirts the young TARDIS forces a dead being back into existence to fill the role of Time Lord, and Rose is confronted with a friend she thought was lost.
