Tess glanced over at Jack, who was staring back inquisitively.
"I'm deciding what dog each of them is most like," she explained. The young woman tilted her chin in Arcee's direction. "She's a Jack Russell; small, but hella stubborn and brave. Definitely doesn't let her size stop her from accomplishing anything."
Jack digested the comparison before nodding, seemingly satisfied.
Tess pointed a finger at Bumblebee next. "Labrador. Smart and loyal, great with kids."
Raf smiled, clearly enjoying the comparison.
"Oh, do Bulk next!" Miko pleaded.
"Easy. Pitbull. Looks like he'll rip your whole face off, but is actually super sweet and a big softy."
"So spot on! Love it!" the younger girl enthused.
Tess glanced over to the little corner of the base designated to their medical equipment, where both Optimus and Ratchet were conversing. "Fearless leader is a Great Pyrenees. Ultimate guardian, largest of floofy boys. Looks like he's super sweet and a big softy, but can actually rip your whole face off."
She snorted then as her gaze landed on the cantankerous white and orange mech. "Ratchet is a Scottish Terrier. Loud and grumpy."
The little lot of them all choked back their laughter at the comment, trying and failing to hide their mirth as the grouchy bot turned a suspicious look their way. He 'harumph'ed and went back to work, which only made them laugh harder.
"What about Smokescreen?" Jack said after collecting himself.
All four of them turned to look at the youngest of the Cybertronians, who was hovering around Arcee, Bulkhead and Bee, clearly looking for something to do. Boredom was getting the better of him, his anxiousness nearly palpable.
Tess shook her head. "Zoomies for days and super sassy. Smokey is one hundred percent a Husky."
Having heard his nickname, said mech turned to look at them, head peering out from around the others before tilting in question. The action reminded the group of humans entirely too much of the aforementioned dog breed, and they were all thrown into peals of laughter once again.
