Things were pretty calm at the Autobot and Decepticon base. "Things will be much more peaceful now that Conquortrone is gone," Ratchet said. Medix his nephew pulled on his leg and reached up. Ratchet bent down and picked him up.
"Yes handling the droids should be easier," Knockout said.
Optimus sighed and Megatron took a deep breath. "We don't disagree with you two," Megatron said.
"But a small part of us wished we could've changed Conquortrone's mind," Optimus said.
"But it is too late for that," Megatron said.
"Optimus and Megatron his evil was not slain by either of you two, but by his own twisted and crazed arrogance!" Ratchet said holding the Cybertronian child close. Ratchet took a deep breath and let it out. "I'm sorry about that I know you both had quite a history with Conquortrone," he said.
"I know it too," Knockout said. "It would've been nice to see if he changed after all these years," she said.
"Yes but the Conquortrone Megatron and I once knew perished a long time ago when he chose to become a Conquerdriod." Optimus said.
"The droids maybe in disarray but they are not without leadership, while Maim isn't Conquortrone he was his closest lieutenant and his favorite soldier and loyalist and fiercest fighter," Megatron said. "He will continue to fight for the Droid cause in his fallen leaders name." he said.
"Hey check out what the kids are doing," Hot shot said.
They came over and saw the children working on projects. "Okay just a few more things to paste," Hannah said. "I am almost finished with my project and got the last bit research done the other day now I just have to put it together," she said.
"What was your project?" Cliffjumper asked.
"To see which one was more common in pets being left pawed or right pawed or being ambidextrous." Hannah said. "I ran tests on a variety of animals to find out which paw or foot they prefer to use. In dogs it's mostly fifty fifty, in cats there are more likely to be left pawed, and birds too, monkeys it's similar to people they are more likely to be right handed. My studies show that 40% of the animals I looked at are left handed and 56% are right handed and the remain 6% are ambidextrous," she said.
"That is a lot of work it sounds like," Cliffjumper said.
"True but it helps when your dad works in a vet clinic that sees many kinds of animals not just cats and dogs," Hannah said.
"Hannah you always finish before the rest of us when it comes to school work we are still working on the finishing touches on our projects and our vision boards." Tony said.
"Okay I am almost done with my solar system," Nathan said. "Just have to put it together with these wires," he said getting to work. "So hold them steady Breakdown," he said.
"I will," Breakdown said.
"Okay Demolisher it's time for me to finish setting up my invisible ink project," Lisa said. "Just be careful because the hair dryer will get hot," she said.
"I just have to add a few finishing touches," Tony said. "Hey where is the baking soda?" he asked.
"Here it is," Jazz said and spilled it. "Oops, sorry," she said.
"It's okay," Tony said and looked inside the box. "Don't worry you didn't spill all of it," he said.
"What are you kids doing?" Knockout asked.
"We are working on our school science fair projects," Hannah said. "I am finished with the experiment part I just need to put together the vision board." she said. "I am almost done," she said.
"I have just finished putting together my model of our solar system now I have to put together my vision board I had already typed everything out now I just have to put it put it together," Nathan said.
"I am doing invisible ink it's pretty cool," Lisa said. "Humans used this in the old days to send secret messages to allies when an enemy the paper looked blank," she said.
"I am doing a baking soda volcano it's a classic," Tony said. "I will clean up the baking soda," he said.
"Well you all better clean up your mess when you are done, because I like to keep this place tidy," Ratchet said putting Medix down.
Medix was looking at the hair dryer Lisa finished using. He was about to touch it. Lisa grabbed it quickly. "Whoa there little bot, that part of the hair dryer is very hot, don't touch it," Lisa said.
Medix started sobbing because Lisa snapped at him. "Sorry if I made him cry I just didn't want him to get hurt," Lisa said.
"Well you did the right thing in telling him no, I would hate to see my little nephew who I am the legal guardian of get hurt," Ratchet said.
"It's hard for many to see someone to hurt," Hannah said.
"I wonder what those droids are up to," Arcee said.
"No good I bet," Cliffjumper said.
Maim was hoping Baritone had found Conquortrone dead or alive. "We need to find our leader," Maim said.
Snaplock came up. "Maim you're leader now embrace it," Snaplock said.
"Conquortrone must be found we need to find out if he even survived." Maim said.
"It's a waste of time if you ask me, I am going to see if I can find one particular store room may have what we are looking for. " Snaplock stated and went out with two other driods named Backstabber and Lockbreaker.
Then suddenly the alarm started. "It's the droids their on the move," Knockout said.
"It seems they are headed towards an abandoned human military base," Hot shot said.
"What could they want there?" Arcee asked.
"Who knows?" Rockslide said.
"Hot shot you are coming with us," Optimus said.
"Oh boy I rarely get to go out a missions," Hot shot said.
"Rockslide you are coming too," Megatron said.
"Coming Megatron," Rockslide said.
"The rest of you stay here and we will call on you if we must," Optimus said.
They went to the military base. Hot shot turned into a dragon and started sniffing. "They came this way and they are close," Hot shot said.
"Then let's get moving," Rockslide said.
They headed towards the base. They saw the droids looking around for something. "It's Snaplock, Backstabber and Lockbreaker," Rockslide said.
"I wonder what those three are doing here," Hot shot said.
"I believe they have something stored here at this abandoned droid base," Optimus said.
"I believe so too," Megatron said.
"But what could they be hiding here?" Rockslide asked.
Hot shot started to listen carefully to focus on what the droids were saying because he had sharping hearing than the others. "Those weapons we collected from around the universe got to be here somewhere," he heard Snaplock said.
"Are you sure you got the right place Snaplock?" Lockbreaker asked.
"Of course I do," Snaplock said.
"These are the right coordinates, they weapons should be dead ahead," Backstabber said.
"Hot shot what are they saying?" Optimus asked he figured Hot shot was listening to the driods conversation.
"They are after a stash of weapons they gathered from around the galaxy," Hot shot said.
"That's not good," Rockslide said.
"We must stop them," Optimus said.
"Agreed," Megatron said.
They got closer and saw the bunker. Hot shot narrowed the focus of his optics and he saw all kinds of weapons ranging from earth tech to even tech from the velgrox. There was even quintstession blaster which was very dangerous. "They have a variety of weapons there some are earth based, some things I think they stole from the velgrox and they even have quintstession blaster." Hot shot said.
"That's dangerous that could wipe out a whole city," Rockslide said.
"Let's move it," Megatron said.
"Megatron and Rockslide, the three of us will fight the droids, Hot shot you destroy the bunker and then we can gather any weaponry that may survive the destruction of the bunker," Optimus said.
They headed out. Hot shot got ready and hoped this time he was going to fly he had been trying for sometime he started to run and flap his wings. Then the droids noticed them and attack. Thinking fast Hot shot ran faster and flapped his wings harder and jumped flapping his wings down hard. Then the next thing he knew he was in the air and flying forward and upward. He was really flying.
Optimus, Megatron and Rockslide were keeping the droids busy and then Hot shot flew around and found the right spot. "Head's up!" Optimus, Megatron and Rockslide heard in their coms. Hot shot breathed down fire and the bunker blew. The bunker was in flames and pieces of it were in many places in the abandoned military base.
"Ugh mission failed droids retreat," Snaplock said. The droids disappeared after that.
Hot shot flew down and landed gracefully.
"Hot shot you finally flew!" Rockslide said.
"Yes I guess I did," Hot shot said.
"Good work Hot shot you should be proud," Optimus said.
"Thank you Optimus," Hot shot said.
"Now let's see if any of those weapons survived," Megatron said.
They looked through the bunker and found the quintstession blaster, a piece of velgrox tech, and couple of things from other Cybertronian worlds. They took the weapons to the base and had it locked up.
Meanwhile Maim and Baritone found Conquortrone alive but in bad condition and brought him back for medical treatment. Now on a medical table in coma Conquortrone was going to get medical care he needed.
"Now that we found our leader, now we can hope with right care he can pull through," Maim said.
