"Is it bad?" she asked, fearing whatever they were doing was making everything worse.

"I do not know. What I feel for you is… confusing me. All I know is that you opened my eyes in the past few days. Bringing the best out of my miserable situation. Although I am sorry, I do not mean to burden you with it."

"No, you don't burden me with it at all! I just wanted to know where we stand" she said as she scratched her neck nervously. This was the moment when her phone started ringing, her ringtone filling the air.

I don't know what to do and I'm always in the dark
We're living in a powder keg and giving off sparks

She picked it up fast, especially that it was her mother calling. Which always meant bad things.

"Hi mom" she greeted her mother as she accepted the call. "It's really not a good time to talk. I'm in the middle of something extremely important" she said looking up at Megatron, whose eyes widened by her exclamation.

"Oh, am I disturbed a date? Who is it this time? Is he a wealthy man? A good looking one? Or is it Merlin?" Here they came. Her mother's annoying questions.

"No, I'm not on a date! And yes, I'm with Merlin, who is wealthy and good looking, but that's not the point! Why did you call?"

"Family dinner on Saturday. Merlin is welcomed too. But by the way, when are you going to date a normal guy? Everyone at your age is slowly giving birth to their first child and you're not even married!" That was it! The last straw for Elisabeth. But before she could shout off her mother's head of why this topic was on the menu right now, Megatron just simply took the phone out of her hand and started to speak.

"You might be Elisabeth's creator, but you have no right to disrespect her!" He sounded really angry which shocked her as she stopped midway while reaching for her phone to take it back.

"Is that you, Merlin?" she asked on the phone, surprised by the happenings.

"I think the least of your concern is who I am. You should rather focus on not to mock her at every chance you get!"

"Hey, give me back my phone!" she ordered as she tried to snatch her phone back from him, only to fail, because he held it high enough for her to not reach it.

"Can you give the phone back to my daughter? I have to talk to her" Elisabeth's mother said as she tried to sound polite. But to think about it, if she was anything like her daughter, she won't give up here.

"No" he declared then ended the call while Elisabeth was still trying to steal it back from him. "You are welcome" he looked at her as he held out the phone for her to take.

It took Elisabeth a minute to realise that Megatron just scolded her mother like it was some everyday thing for him. And on the top of that he hung up on her!

She didn't know whether she should be angry or not. On one hand he totally enraged her mother which was not the thing she was hoping for. How can she now explain themselves out of this situation? On the other hand, those words were something she wanted to tell her parents for a long time. Of course, not this aggressively. But she was really afraid of confronting them about these sensitive topics. So that he 'solved' this problem was one of the best things that could happen. In the end, she was proud of him and thankful for his help. And to show him her gratefulness she grabbed his gunmetal grey jacket, pulled him closer and placed a quick kiss on his cheek while she took back her phone.

"Thank you" she whispered, letting go of him. "But anyway, we should go, because we have to also speak with Merlin's brother personally and that will be one heck of a conversation. I'll tell you everything in the car" she said as if the past few minutes never happened. And this confused Megatron greatly.

They didn't bring up what happened in the car, instead Elisabeth started to talk about Merlin's brother Ambrose. She told him that the Fistburn family were controlling one of the biggest mobs in the country for generations. She also told him about how Merlin stayed far from the family business, especially after his parents' murder, which made Ambrose the head of the mob.

So, arriving at the bar named 'Seven sins' he was aware of everything he needed to know.

Elisabeth went for the back door as even she didn't want to set foot in the strip bar, let alone with him. It would be a catastrophe for both of them. But her plans of getting straight to Ambrose were short lived as there were not one, not two, but three guys guarding the door.

"Is this a good idea?" Megatron questioned her plan and she wasn't even surprised. Even she was questioning it right now.

"Rather go into the mass of people in the club?"

"No," he answered after a few seconds of silence.

"Good, because I don't want to either. So be quiet and let me do the talking."

"Hey, girlie!" greeted one of the guys as he finished his drink. This is going to be one hell of a plan. "Where's the ride?" he asked as he started to giggle in his words, like the drunk man he looked like.

"To Ambrose. We want to speak with him" she looked at him confidently as the other two started to smile as they looked at each other in amusement.

"You want to see the boss already? What a brave girl you are…" chirped one of the other one as he stepped closer to her.

"We want to see him," she then pointed at Megatron. "This is his brother, Merlin."

"Merlin, you say?" the third one said. "Boys, do you remember what the boss said about a certain Merlin Fistburn?" he asked the other as he cracked his knuckles.

"I remember! Beat the shit outta him!"

So, yeah. Shit just hit the fan and both Elisabeth and Megatron knew that.

"This is going to be even harder than I imagined" she whispered to him as the first and probably most drunk one lunged at her.

Though she had the time to avoid him, Megatron was not that lucky with the other two who were very keen on beating him up. And they did it very efficiently by trying to hit him everywhere they could. Elisabeth felt guilty for not trying to help him, but she was also busy with her attacker. It was not how it was supposed to happen. She thought they could sneak in or like something, speak to Ambrose, get what they needed, then go home. But after two long minutes she heard a loud crack and fearing it might be him, she looked there, only to find one of the guys shouting in pain as he was holding his limp arm. Then she saw him grabbing the other's head and smashing into the brick wall, knocking him out. It seemed Megatron was really enjoying himself which made her uneasy.

Though her curiosity came with a price as her attacker pulled out a knife and went for the kill. But when he tried to stab her, Megatron was before her grabbing the guy's wrist and twisting it until he let go of his weapon. Then he took it from him and with a swift move he was behind him, knife on throat. Elisabeth tried to say something, but it was in vain.

"Don't kill…" it was late. Megatron just slit the guy's throat before her eyes, without any hesitation.

Then he let the dead guy fall into the ground around him forming a smaller pond from blood. Looking up with horror in her eyes Elisabeth saw that Megatron's irises were somehow shining crimson red. And also, with the intention to kill more.

"Holy shit, you killed him!" came the voice of the one whose head was smashed into the wall. He really shouldn't have shouted, because now he was his next target.

However, Elisabeth recovered from her shock fast and had enough strength to stop him by grabbing his wrists.

"It's enough!" she shouted trying to hold him off as best as she could. "Snap out of it." Then he looked straight into her eyes, anger radiating from him.

"This is who I am, Elisabeth."

"You do not know me. Neither how many I killed."

"This is not who you are," she told him with sadness and disappointment in her eyes. "You are better than that. Please…" she begged. And this almost broke him.

"I, Megatron, promise to keep you safe from now on."

"What's all this commotion here?!" boomed a deep voice which belonged to Ambrose. So, in a fraction of a moment Megatron turned towards the source of the voice lunging the knife at him. But Ambrose just grabbed his wrist while laughing in amusement. "It's good to see you too, brother!"

Ambrose had the same dirty blond hair and brown eyes like his brother although he was bulkier, stronger and taller. His fashion choice was a way more elegant style.

"You must be Ambrose" he said, letting go of the knife.

"As entertaining you can be brother as annoying you are. Tell me why you are here after I told you not to ever come here?"

"I can explain!" stepped in Elisabeth before any more death could happen.

"Glad to see you too, my dear" he smiled, letting go of Megatron's wrist and stepping over the body he was before Elisabeth.

"I would say likewise, but that would be a lie. But we have to talk, it's serious."

"As sassy as ever!" he laughed, as he suddenly tucked Elisabeth's loose lock behind her ear, earning a low growl from the man next to him. "Don't be jealous brother, it's not like you have a chance."

"It's not like you have any…" she said while shooing his hand away. "But can we please speak somewhere calmer?"

"We can. Boys, clean up the mess" he said to his men as he turned around and signalled to both of them to come with him. Once inside Ambrose lit a cigarette and started to smoke, while more of his men greeted him. "So? What's the deal with all of this?" he asked as they arrived into his office.

"The thing is… this is not Merlin" Elisabeth started as she pointed at Megatron next to her with her arms.

"This is what I have already figured out myself. My brother can't even do a hook well, so don't talk about kicking my men's ass. But he looks like my brother, so this begs the question."

"He is not Merlin, but… this is Merlin's body. So, let me introduce you to Megatron, an alien from another planet."

"And you want me to believe this?" asked Ambrose back in disbelief.

"This or that Merlin learnt to fight like a pro since you last saw him."

"Well… Megatron, tell me… how did you get in possession of my dearest brother's body?" he asked as he sat down on the edge of his desk while breathing out the smoke.

"Do you think I would be here if I knew?" he said in a mocking tone. "I am only here, because of Elisabeth and only her."

"Then why are you here, Beth?"

"I need a program to hack into the government. The general plan is that my friend will hack into it, we get the info and take him back to where he belongs" Elisabeth presented the plan.

"And you come up with that plan all on your own?"

"I am no damsel in distress, I can manage to plan something like this, thank you."

"Then I'll give my answer. I provide you with anything you need, but in return I want something too."

"What do you need?"

"Since Merlin is not available, this body belongs to me and the Fistburn family. I will take part in your 'E.T. calling home' plan, because I need my brother's body back in one piece. To bury him, if nothing more."

Two hours later Elisabeth was sitting in the bathtub, thanking God that she survived her meeting with the mob. It wasn't like she wasn't there a couple of times. But going without sticking to Ambrose's side was a whole riskier that she ever imagined. She let out a deep breath as she let herself sink in the tub. And while the warm, bubbly water was calm, she felt so disturbed. She looked up at the ceiling thinking about that moment. Thinking about him.

It was obvious that she was in grave danger at that moment, but was it necessary to kill him? And kill him in one of the most gruesome ways… She should have run, run far away from him. But instead, she tried to stop him by telling him he is a good person.

"This is life, Elisabeth. We born, we live and we die" she whispered to herself. "I saw men die before, so what's now?" Of course, she saw men die. She remembered really clearly what it was like being Ambrose's girlfriend.

So, what was it? Was she… disappointed in him? Maybe. Maybe very much. Because she believed he was a good person, despite him telling the opposite. But was he a better person or was she blinded by her interest in him? "Anyway, what needs to be done this week? I have to go to practice, then I have to call Mel with the news and on Saturday we have the family dinner" she murmured, collecting her thoughts.
