"Are you sure this is the only boat we have?" Lucy asked as they were about to set sail on the smallest boat ever. "Yup! Don't worry, we can find a new boat soon." Luffy said. Soon later they encounter a sea beast.

"Wind magic: Arrow pistol!" Luffy said as he created an arrow of wind that shot out to completely kill the sea beast. "Great, now we have blood all over the boat… you could have done that a different way." Lucy said as she sweatdropped.

Luffy just laughed as they continued their journey.

Luffy and Lucy had found some kind of pirate ship. "I'm so hungry!!" Luffy yelled as his stomach started growling. "There's a pirate ship up ahead, they probably have food, wanna go check?" Lucy asked.

"Really?? YEAH!" Luffy yelled as he saw the pirate ship, it had hearts all over it and a flag that had a skull and a heart.

"Hang on Lucy!" Luffy said as he took Lucy and carried her as he said "Wind magic: fly!" Luffy said as he flew towards the pirate ship carrying Lucy. "Woah Luffy warn me before you do this!" Lucy said.

"Who are you two?" A pirate from the pirate ship asked as they landed.

"I'm Luffy, the next king of the pirates and this is Lucy, my first crew mate. You got any food, I'm hungry."

"Oh food… Yeah, yeah we definitely got food to come with me" The pirate said as he rubbed his hands together schemingly. "Great come on Lucy let's go and eat some food!"

The pirate took Luffy and Lucy down to a basement that had a bunch of food.

'I'm going to knock him out now and then knock the girl and bring them to Alvida. She'll surely praise me for this.' The pirate thought as he was about to hit Luffy's head but was hit instead and flung to one of the barrels.

Lucy just fired a blast of energy using her nen to knock the pirate out as Luffy didn't pay attention and just continued eating. "Yum, yum THIS IS SO GOOD!" Luffy said as he continued eating as Lucy joined in.

Soon they heard footsteps, "Who are you guys?" A boy stuttered. "Huh? Oh I'm Luffy, the next king of the pirates!" Luffy said. "And I'm Lucy, his first crew member." Lucy added.

"WHAT?! King of the pirates isn't that just a myth!? And how do you expect to do it with only 2 of you?" The boy yelled

"Whatever , do you guys have any ships we can borrow? Ours is kinda small." Lucy asked "I think there are a few boats…" The kid began thinking.

"Hey what's your name?" Lucy asked again "I'm Coby I'm basically a hostage of these pirates…"

"I wish I could be like you guys, I have my own dream. To become a marine one day, and If I want to do that I can't stay with these pirates."

"Ah I see, why don't we help you out! We will destroy those pirates and you can help us find a good boat." Lucy said.

"No no no! You can't do that because they're too strong!" Coby said worriedly but suddenly Luffy got up and said, "I'm gonna go knock some sense into that Alvida person" Luffy walked outside of the basement and met Alvida.

"OK kid while Luffy's busy with her will go and find a ship."Lucy said as the boy just nodded, still worried for the straw hat boy.

"So your Alvida?" Luffy said as the person in question turned around to face Luffy. "So what If I am? Wait, don't tell me.. ARE YOU PIRATE HUNTER ZORO?!" The woman asked in shock.

"Huh? No. I'm Monkey D. Luffy the next king of the pirates!" Luffy said as he infused nen into his fist and ran to Alvida at pretty fast speeds punching her in the gut causing her to be sent flying.

"Damn it you little.." Alvida began standing up.

"HEY Luffy! We got a ship, let's leave!" Lucy said as Luffy ran and jumped onto the ship that they took.

"So, do you know anything about this pirate hunter Zoro guy?" Luffy asked Coby as they began sailing off somewhere else. "Why would you want to know about him? He's an infamous pirate hunter." Coby said as Lucy was surprised.

"Lucy, why don't you say and have this guy be our next member?" Luffy asked grinning. "Sure, why not." Lucy said, smiling back at him.

Soon later Coby showed them where pirate hunter Zoro was so he could try and become a marine there.

Luffy, Lucy, and Coby walked through the marine base trying to find where Zoro was.

"There he is! It's Zoro!" Luffy yelled as they walked closer to him. "Hm, maybe I should set him free?" Luffy asked.

"Don't do it yet, let's just wait and watch." Lucy said. Soon later a little girl tried giving Zoro her food only for Zoro to not accept it. Then a marine came and kicked the girl out.

"I'm gonna go talk to him." Luffy said as Lucy nodded.

Luffy walked up to Zoro as the marines left and he said, "If I were you I would starve to death."

"Can you pick that up for me?" Zoro asked as he pointed at the crushed rice ball that the girl tried to give him. "Uh ok." Luffy said as he picked up the broken rice ball feeding Zoro it.

After Zoro ate the broken rice ball Luffy went back and spoke with the little girl. The girl explained that Zoro isn't really a bad guy and he was just protecting them.

Luffy and the other entered a bar and saw the marine guy from earlier with the weird chin "Man I'm so bored! Maybe I should just go and execute Zoro now" The marine said as he laughed.

Luffy had gotten mad and ran up to the man and used a nen infused punch sending the man flying.

"You actually just hit me! You'll pay, you do know I'm Captain Morgan's son right!?" The marine said as he began bleeding from the punch.

"I don't care!" Luffy said as Lucy held Luffy to try and stop him from punching him more.

"I made up my mind, today… Zoro joins my crew!" Luffy declared as they ran out the building.

With Zoro and Luffy

"I'll untie you only if you join my crew." Luffy told Zoro. "Join your crew? Like hell." Zoro replied smiling.

"You're a swordsman right? If I take your swords back from that Morgan guy you have to join my crew!" Luffy yelled as Zoro was shocked and Luffy ran to get Zoro's swords.

Coby managed to untie Zoro and Luffy got Zoro's swords.

"I sentence both of you to die!" Captain morgan said witnessing Coby untieing Zoro. But everyone was shocked when they heard something in the distance "WIND MAGIC: FLY" Luffy yelled as he flew into one of the marines.

"MEN SHOOT AT HIM NOW!" Captain Morgan yelled as all the marines began shooting. "Wind magic: Repel!" Luffy said as all the bullets repelled away from him.

"WHAT HOW DID HE DO THAT??!" Everyone except for Lucy yelled.

"Who are you..?" Zoro asked in shock. "I'm Monkey D. Luffy the next king of the pirates! Here's your sword." Luffy said as he gave Zoro his swords.

"Wood magic!" Lucy said as a bunch of wood came out of the ground knocking out many Marines as Luffy and Zoro took out the rest of them.

"I get it! so you two ate a devil fruit!" Captain Morgan said. "Ha you're partially correct, my devil fruit isn't wind magic though and Lucy doesn't have a devil fruit!" Luffy declared as everyone was shocked.

Soon after they managed to defeat Morgan and the marines and Zoro agreed to join the crew.
