Éowyn is an endlessly fascinating character to me. This is her story, to my mind. Chapter 1 how she became a shieldmaiden. This story will eventually merge with my story of Faramir, "Bound by Duty; Bound by Joy" where they meet. It is her story in that story arc.

Someone poisons King Ar-Pharazôn's wine, and Elrond is held responsible. It's up to the famous detective, Teti of Harad, to get to the bottom of it.

Legolas is on his way to a visit in Rivendell with his sister. The journey gets dangerous but at least he and their guards get his sister there safely. Or so he thought.

Aragorn finds himself unable to sleep, again, the pressures of being King and the anxiety of feeling like he doesn't have all the aswers that are expected of him. Feeling lost without his father there to guide him. Thankfully though, one of the only other Kings in Middle Earth just so happens to be visiting and offers a few stories for support.

This started as a 30-day challenge to post something 1000 words or less every day from a one-word prompt. I extended the challenge to 40 days, and now that I'm in school I find this too much fun to stop completely, and so I will be trying to update every weekend or every other weekend at the very least. Most of them are Legolas - Thranduil centered!

Haldir caught Gault's arm in an iron grip, "Go, bring a healer." Gault turned confused green eyes to his captain, "She is near death, sir." Haldir removed the chain from the girl's neck and held it out to his lieutenant, "This means she must survive the night."

There was a third hobbit on Mt. Doom that day. But no one likes to talk about that, now do they, precious? (AU. Gollum made a different choice at Cirith Ungol. And, awkwardly enough, he's not dead, somehow, so, uh, now what? Book canon. Not very compatible with the movies.)

An Elf with a thing for Orcs finds an Orc with a thing for Elves. Just enjoying their good luck would be too easy, so they begin a snail's pace trek across Middle-earth with a group of Orcs as strange as they are annoying.

Legolas Greenleaf tried not to dwell upon his mate, no matter how much he longed to seek her out. The last name of 'Fay' had been long forgotten. Only recalled within the old fables told of the olden days. Now it has resurfaced, etched upon his skin to lay claim as the name of his mate. He just didn't expect her natural form to be one that made Hobbits look like giants.
