JRR Tolkien undertakes a very interesting task. (Written for the 2013 Great Tales Fic Exchange, for goldvermilion87.) A fixed-length-ficlet of 250 words, an AU set in the middle of the 2oth century.

This little character study of Legolas was inspired by Fiondil's story "Christmas at Edhellond: Elf Academy" by Fiondil. Fiondil's story is a Modern-day Elves AU, so this one is as well. I highly recommend his "Elf Academy" series for a fun read. One-shot.
