Chapter 2: Dinner.

A very loud alarm clock starts ringing around the room of the twins, making a now very annoyed 7 year old blonde girl wake up and remove her sleep mask, she begrudgingly raises her hand to turn off the dreaded torture device, and rolls her eyes to see the clock marking the hour that she set the alarm at.

- 6:30 PM huh? But I still feel like sleeping till tomorrow… - the princess then turns around to her twin sister's bed to see if she was home yet, only to find the same smelly, empty bed that she saw before taking her nap.

– And she still isn't home yet… - Lola sighs in disappointment, her one hope of maybe finding something entertaining to do that day immediately banished, it isn't very common for Lana to be late at home, for she is always looking forward to spending some time with Charles before their dad serves dinner, so when it does happen that she's late, Lola just assumes that her sister is staying at whatever house… or swamp… that she happens to become attached to for the night.

What she can hear though, are the annoying loud footsteps of Lynn Jr. coming upstairs, probably after pushing her teams to their limits, followed by the loud strings and laugh tracks from Luna and Luan's Room and a random explosion shaking the ground which she assumes with near certainty to belong to another one of Lisa's failed experiments.

- Well it seems everyone else is already here, so that's something… - Lola says to herself with unhealthy doses of sarcasm as she prepares to leave the room and go downstairs to at least catch the re-run of last week's miss Michigan pageant, but of course, little is her surprise as she finds out that a certain goth sister is already hijacking the TV with her boring vampire show.

Lola knows better than to create conflict between the loud siblings for the remote, so she just assumes that she asked for the TV in advance and the rest decided to grant her the space, which would make any discussion about it a waste of her precious time, so instead, she decides to just walk to the kitchen for a glass of milk in full silence.

There she finds her dad, with massive headphones on, oblivious to the entire world surrounding him while dumping some dubious looking ingredients into a big bowl filled with boiling water, normally, Mr. Lynn Loud's cooking is regarded as one of the best in all of Royal Woods, but when he's at home, he seldom cooks the exquisite dishes that are displayed at the restaurant's menu and instead, prefers to take an "experimental" approach, to the dismay of the Loud siblings, Lola, being her educated self, never rejects her dad's cooking, but because of his particular hit-or-miss ratio at home, she's never excited at the prospect of eating at home, oftenly using the dining table more as an excuse to brag about her achievements to the rest of her family, but also to… sit besides Lincoln

- Lincoln… - Lola whispers to herself as the memories of the incident earlier flood her mind with almost the same intensity as how they were before she took the nap, making her stand absentmindedly at the fridge while holding the half-empty glass in her trembling hands, an unexpected rush of sadness and… guilt? crawling on her young heart.

- how's it going sis!? – Lynn Jr. appears out of nowhere with her obnoxious, energetic voice, startling the young blonde and snapping her out of her thoughts, as she reaches for a bottle of energizing drink from the fridge while rubbing her sweaty armpits on top of Lola's head, immediately putting the small girl in rage mode.

- LYNN! DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH ME WITH YOUR STINKY ARMPITS! – Lola screams with enough force to make even Lynn Loud Sr. turn around and notice the two girls in the kitchen.

- Ok chill Lola, I was just going for my drink, not my fault your big head was in the way… - Lynn replies with sheer sarcasm in her voice, clearly unafraid of starting an argument with the bratty princess right there and then.

- WHAT DID YOU SA- Lola was about to reply with ferocity to Lynn's backhanded insult while raising her fist in clear sign of confrontation, but being aware of the situation, Mr. Lynn interrupted the exchange.

- THAT'S ENOUGH YOU TWO! - Lynn Sr. yells loudly enough for the two of them to turn around – What is going on here? – he asks in a more composed manner.

- Dad, Lynn was rubbing me off with her stench and I was just here preparing a glass of milk! – Lola said in an accusative tone while glaring at her sister.

- B-but dad, Lola just started screaming at me for no reason! – Lynn said in a desperate attempt at hiding her original mischief for triggering Lola.

- Look, I don't care who started this problem, but I won't be allowing two of my daughters to be displaying such violence and disrespect for each other in this house! – stated Lynn Sr. with authority over his daughters, who looked at each other in shame and then down to the floor in defeat.

- I'm sorry dad! – the two of them replied at the same time, while still looking at each other with clear resentment.

- Good, now that that's settled, dinner is almost ready! So L.J. do me a favor and call Lucy and your mother, Lola sweetie please go upstair and call the rest for me ok? – Mr. Lynn says, with a much more calmed and sweet tone, befitting his soft heart.

- Yes dad! – both girls reply with a happy face, relieved of being able to leave this awkward scenario behind.

But before they leave the kitchen to their respective duties, Lynn Jr. stops at the door step to looks one last time at Lola, with the intent of speaking to her.

- By the way Lola, Lana asked me to tell you that she's staying at Liam's just in case you were looking for her… and that she wants you to feed her pets. - Lynn briefly says with a cold stare, before turning around to run to their parent's room.

- Great, thanks Lana… - Lola says to herself while rolling her eyes at the obvious implications of Lana not being home, before she also leaves the kitchen to go upstairs, where she proceeds to knock every door to inform the rest of her sisters for dinner, except for one…

Lincoln's room.
