Chapter 4 The way of the sea
I dream for the first time in this life, I'm surrounded by a sea of bodies and blood, a scene from hell itself.
look over the multitude of corpse most of them from the Kaguya clan, a boy, no a ghoulish monster rises, "why didn't you save us, we were your family" the monster asks
I stand there stunned "I couldn't I wasn't strong enough to fight", the monster laughs, "but you could have warned us, tried to make the elders see reason, but you didn't you ran like a scared little boy abandoning us all"
As soon as those words left its mouth it launched at me and bit into my flesh, tearing me apart peace by peace.
I woke up in a cold sweat, breaths coming out in buried succession, 'it was just a dream there was nothing i could have done to save them, they aren't even my people I barely know ten of there names, so why do these thoughts plague me' I ask myself
The day has just started as the sun rises into the sky, I walk out onto the deck to view the sunrise. "This world may be morally fucked but its still beautiful, wouldn't you agree" I see Hiro exiting his cabin
"Yes I agree completely" I tell him, "I've been meaning to ask you kid, why are you and your brother leaving the land of water, I don't know much, but I know a member of the Kaguya clan when i see one"
"The clan is going to fall, if not already then within the week. The elders and most of the clan believe they can take on Kiri, I'm not so foolish. I took my brother with me and ran hoping to set up roots in wave, maybe make a name for myself as I go" I answer the captain
He sits there pondering something for a moment before he offers me some advice,"I wouldn't put all my cards on wave ,there is rumors of a tyrant that has taken control of the country, apparently he hired a few missing ninja and mercenaries to keep his control over the land"
I smile. It's nice when somebody tries to look out for,"I'm well aware, I Intend to overthrow his rein, kill him and everyone associated with him and his ilk, deliver their heads, to the leader of the people and offer them my services as their protector. At Least that's part of it" I tell Hiro without a shred of worry or doubt
He looks over at me surprise clear on his face" well you dont look like I can talk you out of it, you have 3 weeks until we reach wave country, you may use the brig to train and hone your skills little wolf" he says with a smile
"Thank you captain I greatly appreciate it" I tell him as I head towards the brig
With these three weeks I'm hoping to gain an understanding into my bloodline, I know at the highest levels of mastery shown the users are able to create a casing of armor under his skin and literally remove their spine to use for a weapon.
I meditate on what I know, I push my chakra into my fingers trying to send a projectile of bone from the tips of my fingers. It's the most excruciating feeling I've ever felt, having your own bones forced to grow and push through your skin is not a pleasant feeling.
My efforts produced minimal results, out of the twenty times I've attempted to shoot a bone bullet out of my hand. Each and every time the pellet just falls from my fingers and clatters uselessly to the ground
It wasn't until 2 weeks later that I realized exactly what I was doing wrong, my bloodline didn't use the bones in my body, It created new ones. With this realization I visualized a gauntlet made of bone over my hand. I felt a pull on my chakra and submitted myself to the feeling. I opened my eyes to see that my arm has transformed
JUTSU CREATED SHIKOTSU STYLE- ARMOR CASING- users of this unique jutsu will find that a part of their body wil be encased in a highly chakra conductive bone armor
Immediately I tried to push the casing further up my body, I made It up to my shoulder until I fell to my knees. Anywhere past my shoulder causes the chakra cost to become insane.
This is my current limit. I can't go farther without severe training and focus. I draw Mangata and run lighting down my shoulder into the blade, the armor casing gains a dark blue hue and the sword in my hand explodes with fury
My senses become sharper, and I can feel that my speed and power have doubled. I move in a flash and cut the wooden dummy in pieces with quick precise swings. There is a major drawback to this technique however, almost a quarter of my chakra is gone in just a minute of using this power. If I can sustain this power I'll finally hit jonin class, albeit low jonin but nonetheless this is desperately needed if we are to complete our task.
There's only one way I can boost my chakra levels fast enough for it to make a difference in the battle ahead. I have saved up many points throughout the journey. I have 200 points, I add 110 to Energy, boost the rest to 100 and put the remainder into Agility
PERK GAINED FOR REACHING 200 IN ENERGY- ESSENCE OF THE GREAT TREE-The holder of this perk have there chakra energy multiplier doubled
I feel it almost immediately a complete rush of power, I activate bone encase. I draw Mangata "Lightning Style-Thunderblade " and the brig explodes with power.
I move swiftly taking out 6 dummies in my first charge, I jump into the air into a spin while placing Mangata in its sheath. I grab my wrist and point my finger out like a gun.
"Shikotsu Style- Thundershot '' I yell as three more dummies have smoking holes through the skull.
I land on the ground and the world catches up, every training dummy in the room drops to the ground in scattered disarray. I smiled. I've finally reached my goal.

"PREPARE THE CANNONS, DON'T LET THOSE BASTARDS COME NEAR OUR SHIP" "YES CAPTAIN" I hear the ship chorus. I look out into the sea. A monstrous ship, with two blades crossed over a black pattern on the sails.
"What's the situation" I ask the captain, "the twin sword pirates, merciless men they leave all ships sunk and hang all prisoners, the water Diamiyo has a agreement with several groups who pay a large sum annually to remain untouched"
"Can you and your men handles these pirates" I asked," are you offering your assistance, these men are strong they've never lost a naval battle", "I don't really have a choice now do I, you guys are my ride" I say with a cocky smirk

"Kimimaro", he arrives beside me in an instant "No survivors, as soon as we can board raise hell, I'm going after the captain and anyone who gets in my way" I tell my friend "understood" with that settled we wait.
The ship has finally arrived in range, "FIRE" orders Hiro, with that I spring into action "SHIKOTSU STYLE- ARMOR CASING" I body flicker onto the ship
"SHINOBI ATTACK ON DECK" one pirate yells, "Shikotsu style- thundershot", three drop dead with holes in there skull
Looking over the ship I see Kimimaro doing one of his dances into a crowd, blood and guts flying around him. Truly a gruesome and beautiful sight, I focus and activate observe looking for the strongest one here LVL 53 CAPTAIN JISEN HOZUKI-ROUGE KIRI NIN.
'Fuck' I have no choice all out from the start, 'Lightning style-Thunderblade' I body flicker right next to him and slash, he draws quickly and counters
We're locked in a struggle of wills for minutes, slash after slash, counter after counter, will against will.
"Kaguya huh, and you have the famed bloodline and good grasp of lightning style, very dangerous indeed" The man says "Tell me boy what's your name"
"Kenshin Kaguya" I answer sword glistening with power," why'd you leave the village" I asked the man "Yagura is a bloodthirsty fool isn't that why your not following him kid" Jisen asks
"Pretty much there's no sense to follow a man who orders the slaughter of women and children, is there any chance you let these guys go there kinda my ride" I ask with a smirk
"Can't kid, we've got a reputation to uphold", "but almost all your men are dead captain" I point over to Kimimaro who's almost done with the task I set him out on, "FUCK, I"M GOING TO KILL YOU BOY" he jumps out onto the water with me right on his tail
"WATER STYLE-WATER DRAGON JUTSU" Jisen yells full of rage summoning a great dragon with piercing yellow eyes, its heading straight at me as I increase the intensity of the current running through my blade.
I stand my ground as the dragon charges "Lightning Style-Crescent Slash '' I swing my blade summoning an aura of lightning slicing the dragon in half.
He flickers next to me slashing on my unprotected side, I barely get my blade down in time to counter, we separate immediately. I don't make it off unscathed, there's a large gash on my side.
"You see boy I admit your strong and fast but there's one crucial thing you lack, experience" Jisen tells me but there's no mirth in his voice, "I know, I've only been training for 2 months old man" I say with a confident smirk. The man's eyes widen for a moment before he goes back on the attack
"Water style-water shockwave" he summons a wave headed right at me, I don't have any moves that'll stop the waves, I have to dodge. I flicker along the side until I burst through the wave katana ready to take off Jisens head, he dodges to the left but he's not ready for my next move.
'Shikotsu style-thundershot' I intone firing off two bone bullets in rapid succession piercing both my opponents thighs, he falls to a new completely taking back by the speed of the attack. Five clones arise out of the water blades at his neck in seconds
"Damn kid those are some skills, I let my guard down only for seconds and you took the advantage flawlessly, now get it over with boy claim your victory" JIsen says accepting his fate "You were a brave warrior my friend, but it's not the time to give up yet, join me Jisen Hozuki, follow me and I guarantee we can find our place in this world through any means necessary"
I hold out my hand hoping he will take it, for just a moment he hesitates before gasping my hand, "what's the plan kid", he asks me with a smile, I look over at the results of the battle, the twin swords ship is sinking and everyone besides Jisen is dead. "We'll offer prayers to the fallen and send them off, your men were warriors and deserve a warrior's end. Then we're going to war with the Gato corporation securing wave as our base of operations"
His eyes widen in understanding "Gato huh, he's a very new player on the scene it will be hard to take his hold on wave, are you ready for the consequences kid" I smile at him understanding his wariness, " Yes Jisen there's only one way, total annihilation" conviction ever present in my eyes. "Come, we must explain the situation to captain Hiro"

We arrive back on the ship to the crew cheering for absolute victory, Kimimaro's being thrown up and down with a smile on his face. I smile as well. He really was the deciding factor of the battle, the men spot me and stop cheering immediately, they draw their weapons and head towards us. "Not another step boys, he's with me" I say, drawing my sword.
"Everyone stand down, why are you men about to attack the real hero of the battle" Hiro appears, he looks towards me, "why is this bastard bleeding on my ship Kenshin" Hiro asks "We've come to an agreement, he's one of my men now. I personally vouch for him, I'm going to need men like this for wave" I tell him
"That will be fine Kenshin, I owe you for protecting my ship and men afterall" he tells me with smile
I look over to Jisen and Kimimaro "meet me in the brig, we have plans to make"
One day before we arrive at wave
"Ok guys listen we'll go over the plan one more time, Jisen your in charge of sabotage and infiltration, I want you to either join their ranks or sneak in undetected and get all information we'll need for the siege, your priority will be finding the bases and rigging them to blow"
"Kimimaro, your job will be marking all the thugs and enforcers in the village as targets, and protecting the citizens as you go, once I give the go ahead your job will be quick and quite, kill them all"
"While you guys are doing your missions I'll be conversing with the village leaders coming to deal, securing our place in this nation. If there are any rogue ninja under gatos hire we'll take them out together, under no circumstance should we take on any ninja jonin rank alone. Hopefully it won't come to that but you never know what tricks and ploys men like Gato are capable of" the inform my companions
"Understood" they both chorus, "when we go ahead with the operations I want you both to wear these" I hand them both a wolf anbu mask "to get what we'll need in this world, we'll need to be feared, and to be feared we need a name and many exploits, this is just the start"
"From this day forth we'll be known as The Crescent Wolves of Wave, we're a pack a family, we always need to have each others backs" I tell them with a smile "do you both accept my proposal" I say cutting my hand and holding it out.
They both nod and return the gesture, I smile "then from this day forth I create the Crescent Wolves"
