Chapter 6 Discovery
One year later in a Field near the land of waves
"Wind style-Wind blade" a young boy with pure white hair yells, "Lightning style-lightning dragon jutsu" an older boy yells summoning a dragon of lightning heading right for the smaller boy turning up earth and destroying the ground as it goes.
The younger boy steps up to the dragon with not an ounce of fear, he sets his katana in a reverse drip wind flowing around the blade."Wind style-KAZE FLASH", the young boy takes off at incredible speed flashing the massive dragon in half.
"Congratulations Kimimaro, I think it's safe to say you've reached B class" I tell my friend with a smile. I take Kiba from his neck.
"I still didn't win Kenshin, how is this a victory?" he asked me.
"You're probably the only shinobi that complains about going from low C class to B in the matter of a year" I tell him with a laugh."You've made so many improvements since we left the village, I'm proud of you bro you did great" I tell him.
"I've been training everyday this past year to my Limit why can't I beat you" he says with anger in his eyes.
"Maybe if you can invent a flying jutsu purely of the wind element, maybe you'll be able to keep up with my speed" I tell him with a cocky smirk. I put my hand over his head and mess up his hair, "I know you can do it"
Ameyuri arrives in the clearing in a burst of speed, "Konoha shinobi spotted entering a wave" she tells me with anger in her eyes.
"I guess it was only a matter of time before our neighbors came calling," I say with a sigh."Numbers and description, please," I ask Ameyuri.
"A full squad, 3 chunin led by Asuma Sarutobi, were spotted crossing over our territory heading to the village," she informed me.
I fly through hand signs "summoning jutsu" I summon five of my wolves."Find the Konoha team and signal the pack" I tell my summons.
"Got it boss" the lead wolf named Cero says.
"Ameyuri with me, Kimimaro gather the pack and randevu with the dire wolves surrounding them, don't be seen" I get two nods before we take off back towards base.
A Lot has changed in a year, we have spent most of this time gathering our strength and expanding the pack. Going from a pack of 4 to 60 was the real hurdle, now made of mostly civilians who showed acceptable ability to use chakra. But with the four founding members running the squads they turn into a flawless team, no matter their low birth.
We finally arrived at our base, aptly named the Wolf's Den, at Kimimaro's insistence. A large complex was built over the waterfall where me and Ameyuri had our fateful battle. Fitted with training grounds, barracks, living quarters, meditation rooms, defenses built into the waterfall, let's just say Tazuna overdid himself. But I guess I did give the man over 100 million for the village to expand in the first weeks of our accession.
We suit up and head towards the sound of the first howl, we're jumping through the trees until we're joined by all our pack. We've been heading to the northeast border, and my only hope is that they're here for diplomatic reasons and not a spy team.
I arrived to the sounds of battle, twenty of my men have surrounded the Konoha ninja. Asuma was fighting ten in single combat while his team tried to handle the rest. I whistle once and they all disengage immediately.
"Welcome to republic of wave, as you can see, ninja from foreign lands are not aloud free reign to enter and leave as they please" I inform the ninja
"Ameyuri remove your sword from the chunins neck, he's about to piss himself" I tell my strongest warrior with a sigh. I see Asuma's eyes widen at the name drop rethinking his current chances I'd guess.
"Now that we aren't trying to kill each other at the moment, why are you here Asuma? '' I ask the burly man.
"Our mission is to investigate a rumor that the land of waves is expanding their lands and power. We are to report back the information to the Hokage himself to allow him to decide the next course of action" he tells me, obviously trying to resolve this matter diplomatically.
"Say I were to Inform you that the town of wave has decided to turn itself into a shipping city, a now premier spot for travel and trade on this side of the continent, and that we The Crescent Wolves are this country's guardians. What action do you believe Lord Hiruzen would take" I ask the Konoha Jonin.
"I believe that the Hokage would try to pursue an alliance with the country of wave" Asuma informs me.
"I will allow one team to be sent, and they will speak to the lead council. Any other teams or anbu will be killed on sight. Trust is earned and to be frank I don't trust any of you" I tell them with a smile
"Leave" I tell them and they scatter away. "Kimimaro, you and your team give chase make sure they leave the country" he leaves to give chase.
"Everyone go back to your posts" I tell the wolves as I head back to base
WOLFS DEN
I arrived back at the base to a rather odd sight, twenty teenagers and a group of adults gathered in front of our base surrounded by Jisen's squad.
"Jisen why are these people at our doorstep to our 'secret base'?" I ask. I look over and notice they are all similar, they all have black hair and look very feminine. Sleek builds no muscle showing, but you can tell from their postures and miniscule movements that they're trained shinobi.
"They were picked off arriving in a ship from the land of Water, a sentry posted caught sight of them and reported it immediately, however I believe they are a ninja clan from the Kiri. The leader is the tall man in the center" Jisen informs me.
I walk over to the people, "welcome to the 'Republic of The Waves', my name is Kenshin Kaguya, may I speak with the leader of your people" I tell them, removing my mask in a show of good faith.
"So the Kaguya clan does indeed live, I'm glad you were able to escape the mad kage as well. You can call me Zoran Yuki, I'm the clan leader of our people" he tells me with a smile.
"Unfortunately there are only two Kaguya left, me and my brother we escaped well over a year ago. Is this all that remains of your people" I ask, looking at the group of forty clansmen.
"Yes that is indeed true, we were once one of the most revered and feared clans. However three hundred of our warriors stayed behind to allow us to escape" Zoran tells me with a deep frown.
"I understand, I have a offer that might be to your liking"
"What would that be, a half baked charge to take over Kiri" he asks me with a skeptical look.
"Zoran, please do not disrespect my intelligence based on my former clan. My offer is this, your clan will be given land and housing completely on my dime, I expect your people to be loyal to the republic and protect it. Additionally your clan will be the first loyal clan to wave, your leaders will be given a position in the council as well as a say in what happens and how it happens. Also no child under the age of 14 will be allowed to enter our ninja force, currently we are sixty strong and more in the process of training. It is our ultimate goal to ally with one of the great five to ensure our safety while we build the republic. Kiri excluded for obvious reasons" I tell them with a brief chuckle.
"Will you accept my proposal?" I asked.
"Are you the ruler, do we answer to you" one of the children blurted out.
"For now, the Crescent Wolves are under my command, I hold no power over civilians. The council holds a vote over all decisions made involving the republic. I have a major say, but it is in no way a dictatorship. The only time I will have absolute authority will be during war time" I tell the child who looks confused with my explanation.
"We accept, we will join the protectors of the Republic" Zoran says as he kneels, the rest follow suit soon after.
"Jisen take them to Tazuna, inform him that sector 4-D now belongs to the Yuki clan, tell the wolves to cater to their needs. Those of you who wish to join the Wolves will be screened by Ameyuri Ringo. She will decide who of you are to join our pack" I tell them eyes going wide by the name.
"The thunder goddess is here" I hear a bunch of the adults ask.
"Yes, she is my third in command. She leads the thunder wolf squadron. Zoran I expect you to meet me back here by tonight to discuss a plan and your role in them"
He nods and they leave with Jisen leading them away

I've grown immensely in this last year, I'm sure I'm on the cusp of S class. Training with Ameyuri and Kimimaro has pushed me farther than anything until now. Sadly I've made no progress on the lightning armor. At most I've been able to coat my arm fully. However I have discovered something almost as cool. I fly threw hand signs at a ridiculous speed
"Raikiri!" I yell and my arm lights with pure white lightning, I take off at an insane speed. The weakness of the Raikiri was you needed a Sharingan or your opponent could easily counter, but with bullet time slowing down my perception of time I'm completely able to counter. I arrive near the tree on the other side of the clearing in under a second. I go straight through 5 trees before my momentum stops. 'Never not completely awesome' I intone, smiling at my progress.
-3 DAYS LATER HOKAGE TOWER-
A withered old man sits behind a desk, years of struggle show on his face. But this man exudes power, even in his weakened state there aren't many who'd dare challenge him.
"So you're telling me in one year the village of wave has grown 10 times its previous size, created a new government,established trade roots and clients, and its own military force all without anyone finding out? '' The withered Hokage asks the Sarutobi squad.
"Yes, but I believe the most dangerous discovery is the wolves, they surrounded my squad within five minutes of crossing the border. The thunder goddess Ameyuri Ringo is one of them, I didn't get much of a reed on the leader but he seemed to have complete loyalty from every member, almost cult-like. If a ninja like Ringo is under him he may be Kage level, but this is nothing but speculation Lord Hokage`` Asuma informed his father.
"They are nothing but a backwater village with a good strategic position. I vote we simply take it over and kill their meager fighting force in one fail swoop. They disrespect the Leafs might threatening us like they have" an equally old bandaged man said.
"Lord Danzo, they didn't have to allow us to leave. We were surrounded by 40 ninja, they could have easily killed us and framed somebody else. They choose a peaceful confrontation with a warning, I personally believe that is honorable '' Asuma tells the war hawk.
"I agree with Asuma, I think it's time for this old man to finally get a little field exercise. The world is changing as we know it, maybe a show of good faith is exactly what this world needs" Hiruzen says with a brief chuckle.
"Hiruzen you can't be serious, As Hokage you should not go personally to any negotiation with a minor village. It makes us look weak to the others" Danzo states with a firm scowl.
"I just have a good feeling, why not go out and stretch my legs. What's the point of being a Kage if I don't see to matters personally sometimes" Hiruzen says with a smile.
-THAT NIGHT, WOLFS DEN KENSHIN'S OFFICE-
If there was one thing horrible about this new life, I'd have to say its fucking paper work. I'm the leader of a group of ninjas. What is the logical reason that I need to sign weapon orders, facility orders, food orders, and finances? I understand the need for me to see to that personally, but the rest is just frivolous bullshit.
As I'm monologuing to myself over my most hated part of the day, I don't notice someone coming in placing more papers.
"Jisen if you bring anymore of this shit to me that any of the squad leaders could do just as effectively, I will put you on training the new recruits even the civilians' ' I tell him with a sneer.
"Got it boss we'd just need you to sign over which tasks will be dedicated to whom" He tells me with a snarky look.
I'm about to honestly burst with rage before I hear a brief chuckle at the door to see Zoran arriving.
"I'm here for our scheduled meeting Kenshin, but if you're too busy with your inner demons I can come back at a better time" Zoran says still laughing.
I blush slightly at my unprofessionalism before I reply, "No Zoran this a very crucial meeting, Jisen take half these files and be sure to give them to Kimimaro. He needs to get up to speed on how to lead and what might be required of him" I get a brief nod before he departs.
"Zoran, honestly do you have allies in Kiri. Clans or people that might want out, frankly our forces are too small at the moment. We need a clan foundation to boost the republics prestige and power" I tell him all playfulness gone from my person
"The Hozuki clan have always been our most reliable allies, it may be possible to get them to join. I have heard rumors of the weapon master clan of Fuma in exile in the land of grass. But even if it was possible to recruit both our army still wouldn't be over a thousand"
"I'm aware, in the near future we are going to be offering any and all refuges to enter our lands with full citizenship. There will be an extensive screening process on all who enter, I'm going to put Ameyuri and her squad under complete control of the operations. But within the next 5-10 years if all goes as planned I believe we will be able to rival any of the great five" I tell Zoran
"But the truth remains that no matter the village clans do matter, I personally believe their ninja set the bar for all clanless to strive to surpass. Friendly competition for the betterment of us all, The Hidden Leaf is proof that this theory of mine holds truth" Zoran looks a little skeptical.
"I believe you're putting too much faith in this theory of yours, yes maybe it has merit but 2 of the great five barely have any clans and they're still in power" Zorans says.
"Oh I completely agree, but they're not the strongest. Jiraiya, Orochimaru, Might Guy, Kakashi, but the most impressive of all The Yellow Flash. An orphan boy that rose through the ranks becoming the fastest shinobi, the greatest sealing master, and in my opinion one of the most powerful ninja to date." I tell him with a smile.
"That many clanless S rank shinobi does prove a valid point I will admit" Zoran says.
"That's at least how I see it, why build the republic if there isn't going to be anyone strong enough to protect when we're gone" I tell him with a smile
"Thank you for listening to my decision, you are in charge of the Kiri recruitment. I expect favorable results. Also I would like your strongest clansmen to meet me in the training arena tomorrow night. He or she will become the newest squad leader, I hope you choose well" I tell the Yuki leader before he goes off to complete the tasks I gave him.
