The Master threw the Doctor a look of loathing before following him in. they walked into the kitchen to see Sirius brewing up. They sat at the table listening to Sirius and Jack argue over the boy who had just left. Eventually even Sirius conceded that he couldn't really ground Harry anyway.
"What?" the Doctor asked shocked looking at the two of them strangely.
"What do you mean he can travel through time, space and dimensions at will?" Asked the Doctor still not all there it couldn't be it wasn't possible even though the others believed it, he believed Harry was a tot but already traveling, that he didn't expect.
Sirius looked at the Doctor still not happy with him but eventually told the Doctor everything from him coming through the vail leaving out that he had come because others needed refuge as it had really hurt Harry and it still was, he went on to explain how Harry did look much younger than he remembered him being and how just as he was finishing up why he needed refuge and getting the agreements sorted out, the universe he came from was cut off, completely closed to prevent dimensional incursions. He then went on to explain what had been happening since Harry arrived including him traveling through time and space explaining about the bracer on his arm allowing him to basically do what he wanted.
The Doctor and the Master took it all in looking more and more shocked by the minute.
"So, he really is twenty-seven yet looks only just old enough to be ten if that?" The Doctor finally asked at the end of the tale.
"Yes, hence why he won't let me ground him, at least he will be back later in the day he always is when I'm home even annoyed at me!"
"Do you have his toothbrush or hair brush I could look at please?" the Doctor asked, and it was only the Master that heard the hope in his voice.
Sirius just looked at him strangely for a few seconds then nodded and went and got both placing them on the table in front of the Doctor. He took out his trusty screwdriver and waved it over both while it emitted a soft buzzing sound. He then turned it sideways and flicked it only for his eyes to widen in absolute shock.
"What did Harry's mother look like?" The Doctor demanded of Sirius with such intensity that he had no choice but to answer he started to describe her only for the Master to go paler and paler especially as halfway through the Doctor turned his extensive eyes on him in sheer happiness and understanding. By the time Sirius was finished the Doctor's eyes held nothing but happiness and peace. The Master looked terrified for the first time since any of them had met him.
"What's going on? What has gotten into you two?" Sirius suddenly demanded of the pair. The Doctor turned from looking at the Master and turned to Sirius. In a soft gentle voice he spoke.
"Just under four decades ago in earths timeline both of us were on earth, we felt the universal breach in Cardiff and went to investigate, Lilly and another lady called Sarah were both there looking around using tools to diagnose the rift we had detected, they were actually better at it than we were. We spent a week with them both and the Master got to know Lilly, she could keep up with him and found some of his more humorous trouble funny!" He said the last bit looking at the Master with a twinkle in his eye. The Master turned to look at the table and not at the Doctor.
"We spent the week together getting to know little bits and pieces about each other, on her final night here in this universe from what you've said we spent together on our own, but nothing should have come of It our race has to loom tots to reproduce from the parents DNA. It was a curse laid on us long after we had Mastered time, some were born with both regeneration energy as well as psionic energy. They could bend reality to their whim it's how timelords came up with dimensional engineering we knew it could be done so a technological equivalent was possible! But Lilly never showed any psionic abilities in front of me and as stated that was forty years ago in this earth's timeline.
He went quiet here looking at the Doctor for once looking at him seriously asking if he should go on. the Doctor was slightly shocked to see the Master wanting his advice but nodded just once. He was even quieter and subdued as he continued
"A civil war brewed between the two different factions of our people, even though we could match energy for energy people still resented those with better abilities and all of reality in their palm of their hand, it was felt enough that we could manipulate time but reality as well, it was too much for some people and so war broke out. They decided that they needed to leave but we could go through time and space and so they did something that stopped the war in one go. All bar one psionic loaded up onto a single brand new secretly grown TARDIS more intuitive and powerful that the ones built by our people of the time, the one psionic remaining stayed on Gallefray. The others went back to the very, very beginning. Something that no timelord should ever do so you don't cause a paradox and you don't cross your own timeline, once they had left they erased universal travel from our collective memories as well as all their own, only the TARDIS they were on now knew how to go to different universes. As I said there was one psionic left on Gallifrey however she held all the collective knowledge of the psionics inside of her mind, as soon as the TARDIS disappeared, and she lost the information she confronted the rest of Gallifrey telling them exactly what had gone on and what had been done because of it then she laid a curse on us. We would no longer naturally conceive without the help of a psionic of which she was the last. Every TARDIS was sent through time and space to try to find them while everyone else worked on finding a cure to the problem of sterility. Luckily we had the time needed to work on the problem but in the end searching for the others bore no fruit and so everything was turned to bearing children and eventually the loom came into effect….If Lilly was part time lady and part human with psionic abilities…..Then a child could have occurred from that night…..but they left….we never saw them again after that last night and it was forty years ago!" He eventually finished. Everyone sat around for about five minutes trying to process what they had just heard until suddenly Sirius' chair crashed to the floor.
"WAIT A MINUTE! Are you trying to tell me the psyco in the room is my pups biological father? Harry is the most caring kid I know! He wouldn't try taking over the world like him, plus he's not forty he's twenty seven!" he started talking loudly only to continue his voice going high and loud at the end, all the while pointing at The Master.
"Re….Re-peat th….that Sirius!' exclaimed a voice and everyone whipped their head to the kitchen door where Harry stood looking gobsmacked.
The Master looked over to Harry and stood, he was about to go to him when he remembered the dam bracelet tying him to the Doctor, instead he softly began to croon gently. Harrys eyes snapped from Sirius to the Master, it was all instinctual as a ToT his farther would make him feel loved, cared for and cherished. The Master lifted both his arms up and Harry walked right into him. Sirius tried to pull him away, but they were both hugging the other in a tight embrace.
Before Harry could get hurt the Doctor stopped Sirius and led him back to his seat knowing it wouldn't drag the Master away and sat Sirius down. Taking the seat next to him this time.
"He can't and won't hurt Harry he's just become the most loved and cherished thing now to the Master if as you say and from what we've seen him do, then the Master will behave only so he doesn't upset Harry it will be bad enough the guilt he will have to overcome for trying to kill him in his bid for world domination and even worse because it was his own son that stopped him."
"I still don't like it!" stated Sirius but he could see the Master now petting and touching Harrys face as if it was the most beautiful thing in the world. And Harry just snuggled there feeling comfort and true humanish parental love for the first time he could remember, but neither were quiet in their minds they were talking to each other, sharing their memories and emotions, the Master suddenly realised.
They were talking and looking at memories in his head and he could think clearly, there was only Harrys voice and his own thoughts for the first time since he looked in to the untampered schism when he was eight. He fell down into his chair pulling Harry onto his lap.
"They're Gone" he whispered out in shock so suddenly that nearly everyone jumped.
"What?" the Doctor asked
"The drums talking to Harry there gone I can think for myself….for the first time" he looked at both Harry and the Doctor and both saw the tears dripping down from his eyes Harry just hugged him harder and the Doctor looked deeply into his eyes before he realised that the Master had allowed him to enter the front of his mind for the first time since they were tot's themselves and he was right he could feel Harry there but he could also feel the silence and the clarity of the Masters thoughts.
"How?" the Doctor asked quietly.
"They were external to his mind so I just placed a barrier around them they were hurting everyone and making you all sad so I made it better!" shrugged Harry still hugging his….Father?
"So you are where the rest of my DNA comes from?...No one ever knew or at least told me, mum never told anyone even the others like me well no one was like me I suppose, I only have a tiny bit of human DNA, the others had only at most half nowhere near able to compare to me….What happened I was coming here looking for our home planet we needed to re-locate and quickly but I ran out of time the agreement had been made just and they closed and locked their own universe away!"
The Master and the Doctor looked at each other, it was too new for the Master and so the Doctor nodded and began to speak explaining about The Last Great Time War and what he had, had to do to stop it, thinking he was the last one only to find the Master and now Harry, he explained what had gone on before the Master had gone to the end of the universe opened his watch and as he knew the rest stopped there. He then went on to explain that as Harry was the Masters son he was also a Timelord and they just had to burn out the rest of his small percentage of human DNA and take him to see one of the few schism's available that wasn't the one on Gallifrey however it would be a very unique experience because the one the Timelords used at least, was somewhat contained this one would not be.
"Hold on, why would Harry want to do that?" demanded Sirius again.
"He is a Timelord he has a right to his true legacy also even if we don't activate his full abilities, he obviously inherited the lifespan of a regeneration which means he's still going to be stuck like this for around another seventy years at least before he grows up and as a Timelord he not only could possible live a very long life but would be ensured his safety by being able to regenerate." The Doctor explained patiently. Sirius went to say something else but was stopped by the Doctor looking straight at Harry.
"Either way it is not our decision, it's Harrys, as to whether he reaches the full potential of his DNA or stays as he is now!"
"The human DNA is to be burnt out I know that, but IF I do come with you permanently will you allow all of us to live on your time machine and allow Father his full freedom while he's onboard I know I'm new to you and you only see a child but I'm an adult up here and I promise the drums have stopped I'm sure Father will let you check for yourself?" Harry asked quietly to the Doctor his young face not showing the wisdom his eyes did.
"Harry I promise you if the drums are really gone and your father has changed then in a few months I will let you take over his tether for the time being, so you two can explore to your hearts content without always having me watching over your shoulder, I just can't allow him to keep trying to take over different worlds!' the Doctor spoke with conviction. A twinkle entered Harrys eyes.
"So you're okay with me doing it then?" Harry asked with a smirk on his face. The Doctor just laughed.
"I might not have known you long but those that do, know just who you are and that is someone who will help no matter what and you love with all your heart you don't have a mean bone in your body Harry that is obvious, you do need lessons on using your Timelord abilities though, I could hear you shouting out at the Master so I heard the entire conversation!" he added the last with a wink. Typically, Harry went pink he still couldn't pass mental conversations without coming across as loud.
"So you will do it, become a full Timelord?" the Master asked quietly afraid his….Son…. would say no.
"Yes but if I'm to travel with you, you must promise not to treat me like a child, I'm not one I just look it, otherwise I will return to earth and live out my life here!" Spoke Harry while crossing his arms.
"You are my tot I will treat you like a child until I die it's what all parents do, no matter the age but it's built into our biology to take extra care of our children. If you do prefer, we can stay on earth I'll provide for both of us and teach you all you need to know, but if you want to become a full Timelord we need to burn out that human DNA then you need look into the schism soon after, its already pushing it as you should have done this at a much younger age than you are." Explained the Master while looking into Harrys eyes.
"You won't become overbearing you let me do things if I want to, you'll just come along to help me or the other way around if you're teaching me things? Plus I can and will be coming back to see everyone on earth whenever I want!" Harry spoke with conviction in his voice.
The Master looked at the Doctor he was tied to him after all, they would need the TARDIS to do what they needed to. The Doctor looked at him with a small smile and nodded that he would agree to that.
"I'll still be overprotective but as long as I can see you and keep in mental contact, I'll know you're fine so agreed but if I say we have to do something you do it straight away then demand an explanation when I tell you it's safe!" spoke the Master the most aware and sane they had seen him since they visited the end of the universe.
Harry looked around at everyone, but it was the Doctor that caught his attention again and with a single nod from him his decision was made.
"We'll have to make sure SATURN doesn't mind me traveling without her piloting the course!" spoke Harry nodding to his father and the Doctor.
"SATURN?" spoke two voices at once the Doctor and the Master.
"Yes, she also thinks I'm a child and need constant looking after… I am around twenty-seven not three!" exclaimed Harry looking down at his arm as he brought it up showing the metal bracer they had seen before. The Master and the Doctor looked at each other.
"What is that?" asked the Master while the Doctor had his screwdriver out scanning it or at least trying to only for it not to work very well.
