"This is SATURN Small, accessible Timeship, unbreakable and relatively natural, condense that down and you get S.A.T.U.R.N," He said showing them the popup screen as well as the holographic display both the Master and the Doctor were shocked that they couldn't read it, that should have been impossible.
"Where did you get this?" Asked the Master tapping Harrys arm.
"From home, I was the only one who she reached out to, the language is a derivative of our original home, the language was made so that no one other than those that were with me from my universe could read them or write in them, it was done at first, in case the others followed but as that became less of a problem inbreeding had taken its toll. There were only a few dozen or so of us left when or universe was sealed shut…shut for good, for the wellbeing of every other universe around ours, I was too late…again!" Harry looked away from them all he felt like a failure especially on its fifth anniversary.
"Pup, that wasn't your fault, they should have given you more time, one hour and you would have rescued them all, its them that gave up on you they knew you would need time but weren't prepared to give it to you. You can't blame yourself for their lack of faith, one hour more and they would be safe and able to close the breaches once they were here, they knew what your traveling was doing and yet let you knowing the risk they were taking with the barriers, at one point it seems as though they lost part their history or they would have known how to do it and what they needed to repair them with you going to other universes, and yet they didn't until it was too late for them." Sirius supplied gently knowing how much that had hurt his pup.
"I could be the last Unspeakable from earth left alive in that universe, they promised to only close the breach if nuclear war broke out, yet it hadn't happened up to me leaving. I knew I would be leaving but I thought I would have time to bring the others with me." Harry said very quietly. The Doctor was still reading his screwdriver with interest but was also listening to everyone.
"It want your fault it was no bodies fault no one not even SATURN picked up on it….." The Doctor spoke looking sadly at Harry
"Your universe was shorter than ours, time is more stretched here I suppose you could say. What would have been a day to you could be a month or a second to them, the technology is outstanding but was built to take you back to the time you were from it never took that you could be gone days or minutes it would have made no sense to them. You would still live out a day yet they may live out a second or a year waiting for you to get back, but you were returned to your own timeline normally only one day away from you. SATURN won't allow me into her programming to see just how old you actually are, if traveling through time and dimensions you would have aged there as you do here, You had lost your history and no longer able to look at time you wouldn't have known what was happening, once you can read Time like a Timelord you would have noticed, it's that little human DNA from somewhere that is stopping your full potential to become what we once were but Harry even we can't hop universes your ancestors closed them all off to us as well as themselves with what they did. I've only visited one other in my long life and that was an accident and only the universe butting up to ours, but I know what damage it can do to those universes around us. If they hadn't closed the universe off then all others around you would have suffered for it, I know it sounds harsh, but your people chose to save the last of their dying race, the most purest of them all a child not fully of their universe but one who would try to save them all even if he was only a child himself…. From what I can get from SATURN it was less than a week they gave you that they closed the portals. It really wasn't your fault I don't think they intended on following you or the earths nuclear arsenal was set off before they could predict it like a Timelord would have." The Doctor told him gently.
"Even if you had been able to read time you may have wanted to get out of that universe quickly, when I got to an alternate universe my head wanted to crack open at the wrongness of it all and as half your DNA came from this universe, I would say you may have been miserable in most other universes. Maybe not you though, as your people could universe hop at one point and not make them ill, but not us not any longer and a full half is the Master's while the other is 90% original Timelord DNA it's not exactly like ours its slightly different more advanced in a way that I have never seen before but as I said it is the human DNA that is holding back you true potential." Again, he explained this gently towards Harry who despite everything was still sat in the Master's lap while the Master just hugged him never wanting to let him go.
"You also agree i should get rid of the rest? Become a full Timelord?" Harry asked quietly suddenly feeling the arms around him constrict more, as though he was scared Harry was going to run.
"Please?" It was said so quietly yet everyone heard the pleading in the one word and it was from the Master who again tightened his hold on Harry.
"You said I would need to look into a schism, an open undefended schism?" Harry asked looking at the Doctor then his voice rose he might look like a child, but his anger was not.
"That was where the COUNCIL of Timelords did something unimaginable to who is supposed to be my father! and you want me to look so they have the chance to get their hands on my mind as well? If they tried to mess with my mind, I would end up blowing up the planet they are on they have no idea what they would be messing with!" Harry started off angry and then determination entered his voice, there is no way he would allow the timelord to mess with his head. he had seen his father's whole life including the council interference when he went to view the schism himself, what they had done was unimaginable.
"WHAT?" demanded both timelords one looking murderous the other shocked beyond belief.
"Your precious council of Timelords caused the drums in his head due to the fact they knew he would survive the time war when they were losing the most, at the very end they were more interested in their own survival than what they were doing to this universe at least my people cared for the rest of their own universe as well as the others around them!" Harry's voice was scatting and his look one of fury when he looked at the Doctor.
'But that would mean they have been there since he was eight?" Whispered the Doctor in utter shock and disbelief.
"They have! He could hold them off for a time before they became too much and the drums took over then occasionally they would quieten and he would be rational, if you went out there and he showed you what he has done when he had his own mind you would be shocked at his generosity and love, he never wanted to dominate, he never wanted to lose his mind to the drums, he wanted to be left to his experiments and to visit the worlds you both promised each other you would!" explained Harry defending the man in his arms he had seen all of his life he knew him better now that he had touched his mind than anyone one else in the room.
"But the council took that away from him…..I will not look into the schism unless I get the full story and know they can't touch my mind through one!" exclaimed Harry at the end.
"How? No one looked at the end of the war, no one could, it was too jumbled around, everyone had to stop looking because it was too overwhelming." Asked the Doctor
"The council have what we would call seers, not prophets like we know of Sirius, but true seers that could not only look through time but also easily understand what they were seeing. What they saw always came to pass." Harry said while turning to look at him, then back to the Doctor.
"As true seers they couldn't look into the direct future because of this war but could look beyond and informed the council of this fact on the very last day of the war knowing exactly what you had taken and knowing you as they did, they knew you would use it. The head of the council took the eight point whitestar diamond from his staff of office and threw it into the schism along with a simple yet strong message not caring they were condemning a boy of eight, to them he was an easy sacrifice, in this case the need of the many." Continued Harry never moving his eyes boring into the Doctor, he may be over a thousand years old but Harry had unnerved him and also shocked him to his very core, everything he thought he knew, looking back into those emerald eyes he knew Harry spoke the truth not defending him totally but explaining just what had happened to the Master and even though it was his father his eyes showed just what he thought of what had been done to seriously wrong someone and then it hit him it was because he was a child at the time.
"What happened to you growing up Harry let us understand and on my TARDIS I swear I will help both of you with whatever you want to do!" He needed to know, the Master did as well he couldn't see Harrys eyes, but they were tortured as well as angry, angry at something being done to another child his own father no less.
Harry turned and looked down staring at SATURN as though he was mentally communicating with her, he was, and she was pushing him to talk to tell the truth so that everyone would understand and help. Harry looked up at Sirius almost begging him to talk. And so eventually Sirius did he talked for nearly two hours of what Harry had gone through until he himself had come through the vail. Both the Doctor and the Master were furious for this to happen to a tot it could do so much damage it could scar him for eternity what was done to him, no wonder he would protect people and love unconditionally no one had ever protected him, and no one had ever cared enough for him, he had to cope on his own and now those precious to him would be protected with his all.
"Eventually the war heated up and I took care of the problems it was causing by defeating him once and for all,i finished my magical education and from there, I disappeared into the ministry deep into the Unspeakables true place where we could get other normal witches and wizards to do what we wanted of them. We had lost the knowledge of how to make true sentient space and time ships and were trying to get it back but even in my time it was nowhere near only SATURN remained of our true might and she can only take me wherever I want to go not out into space itself. I can visit other civilisations SATURN has them all programmed into her, her sentience is enough for her to know where she is going, so I always materialise in a safe environment." Explained Harry
"Yes well sorry but now I have your frequency the TARDIS will always be able to find you if you need help, you will find a new section it allows for you to send everything to me and for me to arrive to help you…..If you don't want to come with us" the Doctor explained going very quiet near the end everyone could see the two Timelords wanted him to go with them..
"Hold on so you can ground him now if he misbehaves?" Sirius asked the Doctor. Thinking this was great.
Harry head re-shot up at that and stared at the Doctor not at all happy if the answer was yes, he was going to blow up.
"No its nothing like I have ever seen to be honest he could dematerialise inside of my TARDIS and go where or whenever he wanted and she would just let him, he has the ability to travel in time, space and universes, the TARDIS would connect with SATURN and allow him to continue if he's not done anything like the Master tried to do here which I don't believe he has so all it will do is allow for him to get help if he needed it or for SATURN to get help if he was refusing or in serious trouble as long as it's in this universe, but to be honest with her he could just leave." Finished the Doctor and everyone could see he was at war with himself he was honest though, he wanted Harry to trust him, and he seemed to completely calm the Master down.
"As for looking into a schism the time war is now locked even if it was on their last day, they know nothing about you where you come from or anything, you have to understand Harry The Last Great Time War which is what it was called, wasn't fought only on this plane both sides wared in time itself it was encompassing the universe, if it hadn't been stopped nothing would be left of this universe it was spiralling out of control and dragging innocent planets into its confrontations. Looking into the schism now would not affect you the seer might have been able to see past the Time War's end, but they picked the Master not me or his son which means they only had knowledge of him definitely being alive at the end. A schism must be looked into, but they would never look into this one they had no need, nor can they reach it now, they couldn't do anything other than to those that looked into the schism on Gallifrey. You would be perfectly safe looking into it. However, we will need to find a crack in time to burn out your human DNA all you would do is look at it while the Master and I monitored you then we would stay in the time vortex until you got use to the viewing of time, it could reduce you to look younger than you are now. BUT we can travel around visiting places you find interesting until you feel like your old self and then come back here to see everyone you will miss. But Harry, looking and understanding time is a big responsibility one you will carry throughout your long life and you will receive your thirteen lives. It's a kind of timelord trick of cheating death we are granted with twelve regenerations thirteen lives to live, we can live for thousands of years because of it. Only Jack may outlive us all for a linier timespan." Explained the Doctor to Harry.
"And you promise not to treat me like a child if I do stay with you both?" asked Harry but it was the Master who answered
"We will treat you as a tot, child, because to us that is what you are, and you deserve the rest of your childhood to be one of fun and happiness, but we will not treat you as a baby. Once you become a full true Timelord you will slightly regress as the Doctor explained but you will still be yourself it's just as a tot, time will seem endless for you, until you mature into your abilities which could take up a lot of your linier time, also as im sure you have noticed you need to be able to act the age you actually look at times as well as being able to act you mental age but once you are an adult you will always regenerate into an adult. If you change when at this age before you reach maturity, then you will be placed in a similar body just a different face you don't lose yourself but every regeneration is different. You will understand completely when looking at Time and after looking into the Schism."
"How much of a regression?" Asked Harry quietly, looking at the Master.
"Nothing to drastic you may end up looking like a seven or eight-year-old instead of ten'ish or you could actually end up looking older, the way you were brought up…" the Master stopped for a second and just held Harry to him.
"You would have been malnourished and small for your size so it might age you or decide to drop you slightly to correct all the damage done to you by those monsters. We just don't know until it happens but we will both be there with you, you won't be alone never again, you are my son and I already care so much for you…..please do it." The last was a near whisper into Harry ear but the Doctor picked it up as did Sirius through his heightened hearing due to padfoot and both of them heard the begging, something which the Doctor thought he would never see the Master doing and it be genuine.
"Okay, we'll spend the rest of the night here, you two can share my room the others can take the spare room and the living room. Tomorrow I would like to see inside your TARDIS and see what you would offer father if I went with you. if that can be agreed I will look into time and the schism and travel with you if you will allow it, BUT if I do shrink, we stay in space until I looker older again. No danger, no trouble, just space and maybe Disney world I like it there!" answered Harry quietly while looking at the Doctor he knew it was him he had to convince not his….Father…he could feel how much he wanted him to stay with him.
The Doctor smiled a true smile in what felt like ages nodding his head in total agreement
"Then I have only one MAYBE two conditions to doing it, I would like for you to look through my head and let me do the same to you once that is done, I'll set my second condition." Harry spoke deadly seriously even turning in the Masters lap so he was full on looking at the Doctor. The Doctor looked into Harrys eyes again and could see he would have to do it, but he had a few conditions of his own.
"I will allow it but I will section off certain memories only the time war or things related to it, no one should see that horror especially not someone as young as you it could do irreparable damage to your psyche and I must warn you I have seen some horrors in my time just as bad as some of the ones in the time war and you will notice a change after the gap of the war….I thought I was all that was left I had saved the universe but I lost everything important to me including my home, a bit like you but where you moved on to help people I…..I was bitter and angry Harry so angry and it took time, a lot of time to move on. Plus, you will learn things about me no other has, things that you must promise never to speak of!" Explained the Doctor while holding his hand up to stop Harry for interfering in his explanation.
At Harry nod he initiated a psychic bond with him not just letting him into his mind he knew what Harry would find he saw all his life from his young age how he loved Koschei as he was known when he was a tot how much he still loved him and just wanted to save him from himself because of that love and the disappointment he felt as the Master did it over and over again. Then he entered Harry's mind and shared his life including his thoughts and feeling just as Harry had felt with the Doctor, Sirius had underestimated what Harry had been put through until he was sevnteeen, his homelife was absolutly awful. As they carried on swapping memories and thoughts he knew what Harry was going to ask as his second condition and agreed to it immediately shocked that the Master had never hated him he had loved him but the drums had stopped that love and now the Master was worried he would never get the Doctors trust back never mind his love all he now had left was Harry and he was scared of losing him. He had only known him for a short time but he was the first to help him to save him and he couldn't lose that.
Once all this was shared the Doctor turned the connection into a permanent one just like the Master had done with Harry, now they both knew the truth.
"We will mend our bridges I promise you Harry give it some time, but I promise we will get there we will become what you want if both of us want to go there okay."
Harry still connected to him felt the truth in his words and just nodded.
"So, you're going to go? Asked a suddenly subdued Sirius.
"Yes and no, were going to go and I'm going to become my full potential I know I can travel in time easily enough or to other planets but to actually see time like my ancestors did it's an opportunity I have to take Sirius, also you're my godfather no matter what age I am so I will be returning here a lot with both my father and the Doctor but they will also leave me here sometimes, so I can carry on with my work and you can get in touch with me through SATURN you already have the infinity on your phones to sync up with me wherever and whenever I am, I'll still live here I'll just be traveling more noticeably now." Then Harry cringed he hadn't meant that to slip.
"What do you mean more noticeable now? Today is the first day you travelled during your time with me other than on assignments!" Sirius exclaimed only to get a snort from both the Doctor and the Master, one because of his ability to attract trouble when he travels and the other one because his son broke the rules Sirius had laid down, all the time.
"I…..Erm….I might….might have been going to other places other than Disney world while you were in the hub, or asleep in bed and I wasn't tired so….. I sort of….Just travelled around a bit….I always came home before you would find out, I didn't want you worrying your job is stressful enough." Harry tried to explain and get the look off Sirius' face he did not seem happy.
"I've already told you I'm not a bloody kid just because I look like one!" He snapped when the look didn't shift.
"We are going to make you do a full de-brief on just where and when you have been and don't even think of telling me you can't remember you have eidetic memory Harry!" Stated Sirius in a no-nonsense tone
