"I don't work for Torchwood so you can't boss me about, plus it's not my fault, sometimes I had to stop people messing up history and others SATURN felt I should see certain places and she acts like my bloody mother at times do you want to argue with her, trust me she doesn't even let me do that if she wants something important enough" answered Harry really not happy having to explain this.
"He's right the ship is sentient it was picking through my mind the same time as Harry was, I can't always control my TARDIS if there is something she wants me to do I end up doing it no matter what." Explained the Doctor coming to Harry defence he had seen his travels and all the ones SATURN sent him on were important.
"Be grateful to her mine put me on the Titanic as she was sinking twice, I noticed the shifts in the timeline, but they always corrected themselves in nano-seconds, now it all makes sense. If it wasn't for the fact Harry is still considered a tot I would have thought it was my TARDIS helping but she would have brought me straight to Harry when he arrived here. We DO NOT let our tots out of our sight for their first hundred years. It's something that is just not done! Not even by a TARDIS, as for us well as I said its built into us that we care for our tots ALL OF OUR TOT's, they were that precious to us as we had to loom the children ourselves, both parents creating the tot together before they were given life. Each birth was a celebration, each entering adulthood were even more celebrated, it meant our house was expanding and hopefully would be looming more eventually." Stated the Doctor.
"The Master and I are from the same house or rather chapter I should say, just different parents, it's the house Harry would have been brought up in where he would return to every night after school once he was around four by now he would be well on his way to learning how to pilot a TARDIS and all other transportation devices even your vortex manipulator was discussed and explained to us all yet we never learnt of anything like SATURN. Not surprising really if she can universe hop. I noticed you've not visited other universes since arriving here please don't as you saw they create cracks in the universes leading to others around us and we just don't have the ability to close them other than the one in Cardiff but that is a time and space rift not a universal rift or a tear in time. Very good for recharging a TARDIS actually. Anyway, if Harry is to eventually learn to pilot a TARDIS and shift through time at will, he will need to learn all that was taught to the Master and me, luckily my TARDIS has all of that information onboard her and as Harry wants to grow up a bit and will need to stabilize himself, he has plenty of time to learn. he's actually a natural at traveling even compared to me, and my TARDIS is just as aware if not more so that her if for no other reason that mine has had hundreds of years to learn and shift through time herself. Whereas SATURN has not." Spoke the Doctor.
"You don't see the problem of him going off on his own without telling any of us? He is still a child you've admitted that yourselves!" asked Sirius in a louder than normal voice.
"Well to be honest I failed my TARDIS travel test I hit the right spot I was just sightly out of the time frame only by fifty years and they still failed me but look at me now I'm able to drive her perfectly!" The Master and Jack both snorted they both knew just how bad the Doctors driving was.
"Well at least if Harry learns properly you might get there on time in the future!" Muttered the Master.
"OYYYY!" Exclaimed the Doctor.
"Doctor you took a TARDIS to the end of the universe a LAW strictly forbidden by THEM!" The word them was spat out by the Master, with a clear mind for the first time since the age of eight he was really pissed off with the council and what they had done to him especially now that he could think straight and what he had done was sinking into a no longer insane mind.
"No, the TARDIS took me not the other way around and that was because Jack jumped on her as she was dematerialising, time does NOT like Jack!" Exclaimed the Doctor.
The Master and Harry looked over at Jack, Harry had seen him hundreds of times and yet other than his unkillable state felt nothing else wrong however when the Master looked at Jack his eyes widened before immediately turning to the Doctor.
"What did you do?" He asked shocked making Harry look between them realising they were seeing things he wasn't about Jack.
When the Doctor finished explaining and then telling them about losing Rose before meeting Martha. Both Harry and the Master were looking at the Doctor in shock.
"So that's how you know about other universes and the Torchwood problem form before I arrived and the solution you came up with? Why didn't you show me that?" Harry asked the last question, hurt about other things being kept from him
"Harry the daleks were all meant to have been trapped in time at the end of The Time War there shouldn't be any daleks left alive they were all supposed to be trapped with Gallifrey in the moment. They are the horrors that haunt the both of us and will do so to the end of our time, they are what started The Last Great Time War. I'm sorry but even though you feel an adult I know what putting that horror on a tot could do. So, I had all the times I have run into the daleks since the time war blocked its why I refused to show you the time war from my prospective I doubt you father let you see it from his. They allowed him to rage through the war without any help until he couldn't carry on any more and then hid himself at the end of the universe where no one would find him because he knew that we would loose and there was nothing more he could do, he had given his all for Gallifrey and still it wasn't enough, you've seen inside your father's mind you know just how brilliant he could be how ingenious he is, all of that he channelled into the war and yet he only levelled the playing field, he only won his own fights all the rest of us were losing and the galaxy blamed our planet for it, when help was offered they turned it down. What we were doing to the universe was seen as a horror by all others. only we knew what really was at stake and the council put an edict in place stating that we could not explain the truth to other civilisations, what would truly happen if we lost, they only saw the timeline destruction not all the war that raged through time itself. It left them all bitter to Timelords some species still are. As I said the daleks are still out there, so are some others as well. You will need to learn about them and how to defeat them if they decide to come after you for our perceived feelings of irrelevance to civilisations that were warrior born or raised others who aligned with the daleks all wanting to join the fight but not really knowing what was happening most of the time, the daleks defeated all that went after them even us, kill us quickly enough more than once or twice so we can't regenerate and that's it for us we are dead returned to the matrix to live in peace with our ancestors we are taught." Explained the Doctor gently to him
"But you've only ever faced the daleks from the war or have you faced others?" Asked Harry gently.
"No only them but others are out there as I said not all were caught in the moment only the majority, the moment was meant to stop them all but the daleks had contingency plans of their own in case they lost, something that I didn't know about." Answered the Doctor.
"What is the moment?" Asked Jack as always fascinated with the Doctor. The Doctor remained quiet for a few minutes obviously debating whether to answer.
"Unfortunately, just what it says, a sentient device that traps everything in a single moment in time. No one able to go forward or back just stuck like that forever the space as empty as the stars that use to shine around it, it dragged the whole war into that moment and locked it there for all of eternity even at the end of the universe they will still remain trapped and will do so until this universe is taken by time and death itself." He answered eventually in a very quiet and subdued voice. Harry seeing this decided that enough had happened for today he wanted to get to talk to the Doctor and his father.
"I think that's enough for tonight, there are thing I want to talk about in private with my father and the Doctor and the Doctor keeps asking me to tone down my telepathy because it sounds like shouting. I'll still be here in the morning even if the Doctor and my father aren't, I'll be here for at least a month and within that time I'll come and see you at work and have SATURN sort out all the details of my travels so you can just read about them but I'm using your printers because there's a lot. Plus, I must give notice with work! Sirius show Martha to the spare room please, she can get some sleep in there. Also don't try putting a listening spell on my room or I will crack the spell on you!" Spoke Harry looking at Jack Martha and Sirius.
Nobody said anything to this Martha had already seen witchcraft and heard about the wizarding world Harry came from, so magic wasn't new to her just a bit scary. With that Harry nodded at the Doctor then pointed with his head towards the door. Getting off his father's lap was hard, but he held onto his hand all the way to his bedroom pulling out his wand he quickly erected a silencing spell around the room before Sirius could actually do what he thought he was going to try and do anyway.
They spent the rest of the night just talking. Harry explained his plan that his father would go with the Doctor and find a tear in time they would just find it and come straight back for him so he could get the needed DNA out of it then once that had settled he would go and look into a schism allowing him to become a full timelord they talked about his magic and what he knew from his work with the Unspeakables some of it he couldn't mention because of oaths or show until he had bound them both to the same restrictions he was.
Once that was done, they spent some time inside his head helping him with his telepathy which helped him enormously, they were shocked that they could now see just how large of core he had, he could cast constantly for days at a time with his power and once he was a Timelord and needing a lot less sleep [even though he needed a lot less sleep compared to others because of his DNA makeup, which is why he went of adventures with SATURN] he would be able to do so if needed. They also talked about Sirius and the fact that until he passed they would have to come and see him regularly and on Harry's timeline so that he didn't just alter to quickly although he agreed if his body shrank that they would spend their time away from Earth until Harry looked this age or slightly older he wasn't coming back looking even younger than he did, if it wasn't for Sirius he would have stayed away from earth until he was an adult and didn't need charms to hide his appearance. It was a good job he sounded older when he wanted too as well. Although his natural voice still needed to break which he wasn't happy about.
Both his father and the Doctor convinced him to sleep promising they would be there in the morning, he wanted to meet the Doctors TARDIS properly not when she had been cannibalised. Something that made the Doctor realise it would take a few days to get it sorted out, even with two sane timelords now able to work on her, to which he shot the Master a glare the Master just cringed and put it down to the bloody drums as he explained he also promised to properly apologise to her while they were working on her hopefully helping restore her and the fact the paradox hadn't opened would allow her to forgive him.
The next morning found everybody up and sat around the kitchen table again the situation was explained to the others the Doctor told Martha it wasn't all they would be doing if she still wanted to travel but they had to sort this out fast he even explained to the others so they would understand that it was now a matter of time the quicker they could get Harry to a tare in time and get him to a schism the better both he and the Master would feel, they were worried about Harrys age.
For the next week everyone went back to their jobs, Martha deciding to finish her medical degree not that it really shocked the Doctor or the Master they could see time and therefore knew what was coming, they both knew they would see her again even if they didn't know exactly what caused it, they could look at time yes and watch it but the further from their own timeline the harder it became to fully understand, they could look into eternity see just how long that was in linier time but it didn't mean they could understand it otherwise the Doctor would have known who professor YANA was even at the end of time and the universe.
The month passed quickly with Sirius in an even more sour mood when he got home if Harry had been in to deliver more reports, he really wasn't kidding the reports had built up in five years.
Eventually after four weeks and three days, the TARDIS re-materialised in Harry and Sirius' living room and out stepped the two Timelords with a smile on their face's they turned to see Harry lounging on the sofa.
"You need to tell Sirius we are ready. We've found a crack already and checked on the schism we want you to look in to, the sooner we do this the happier I will be please" Spoke the Master gently after opening his arms to Harry who jumped into them out of instinct.
"Can you give me half an hour to an hour? I'll call Sirius and get him to come home" Spoke Harry looking at the two of them even though he was being hugged by the Master.
"Yes, you can take the rest of the day, we need to stock up on a lot of food ready for when you start seeing time as it will take a while to get through that but I want us there by tonight please. We can bring you back as early as tomorrow for them but as you know it won't be for us, if you need to age the Doctor suggested I show you both some of the places I went when the drums were quitter?" the Master asked Harry a look of hope in his eyes he wanted to show he wasn't always bad both to Harry and the Doctor.
"That would be great, and it will show the Doctor about how the people on those planets treat you compared to others!" Exclaimed Harry looking back over to the Doctor smiling at him.
"So I'll phone Sirius and get him to come home we'll all spend the day together then I'll come with you…actually we could go and see them spend some time with them all, you never know maybe there are things you can help out with. We'll have to charm fathers face though, it's still too recent to most people, and we really don't want them asking questions or deciding to try and capture him. Even if UNIT now know about him, luckily Jack lied through his teeth and got father out of everything blaming the Toclafane for screwing with his head and over taking his thoughts they think until he was stopped that the Toclafane had been around for a while and really messed with his head from the Time War and that they were one of your enemies that had a backup plan and used him so that they could rule and propagate war. He released all the information as though it was the Toclafane's including what the people of earth would be subjected to if that machine had opened, again blaming it all on them. But the British are not happy that a Timelord something Torchwood was set up to stop nearly crushed the earth. Only Jack will not go after the two of you now….Well actually probably not, the other hubs know not to try it you just escape or make them look like fools and walk straight out of where they had you after cleaning up a mess they made and then get back into your TARDIS and go. Plus they know both Jack and I can travel through time and space and there not bothered about that. It's more the Doctor they don't like, seems you pissed off queen Victoria on your travels!" Harry had a smirk on his face as he looked at the Doctor at the end. He had seen it of course but to find out that was where Torchwood came from just made him want to laugh. The Master turned to the Doctor cocking an eyebrow.
"What did you do to piss off a queen? He asked
"Erm….." The Doctor couldn't answer, and Harry smirk was growing into a full-on grin.
"He introduced her to a werewolf up close and personal then tried to get a rise out of her!" here his grin got even bigger. He looked at his father
"She WAS NOT AMUSED" Announced Harry. The Master snorted only the Doctor would try to get her to say that and not think of the consequences.
"Come on then let's go and see the others." Spoke the Doctor trying to get out of the current conversation he took Harrys right hand while the Master took his left and they walked him out of the house.
Harry didn't seem bothered by this it was actually what he wanted his father and the Doctor with him in the middle, a true family, Sirius tried he really had but when Harry was a child he was on the run and when they met again he was an adult in mind if not in body but compared to his father and the Doctor he knew he was just a tot as they called them but unlike with Sirius it wasn't strange it just seemed right to him. to be albe to go from his real age t otactiing the age he looked, it was a coping mechanism for tot's they needed to be able ot act like a child at times at others they acted the mentla age they were.
They spent the day at the hub Jack talking to the Doctor and the Master and Harry with Sirius he knew that when they saw each other again he would be completely different to how he was now, so he spent it with him while getting SATURN to print out more mission files for the others to read.
Everyone accompanied them back to Sirius' and Harry's house to the TARDIS. Harry had a rucksack over his shoulder, but he had left quite a few things in his room, he knew he could be away for a while but would be back tomorrow Sirius' time and so didn't take everything with him just the thing he couldn't do without as well as, as many clothes as he could pack.
Those gathered watched from both inside the TARDIS and out of it as it dematerialised and entered the time vortex next stop the tear in time.
They were in the vortex for about thirty seconds and then the TARDIS came into being in space the door was already facing the crack.
