When the Doctor and Master arrived at Sirius' house Harry was surprised by the Doctor.
"Actually, I was going to ask you if you would stay here for an extra day well for tonight and tomorrow morning we should be back by then if not early afternoon I promise I will ensure the TARDIS knows we are coming back to pick you up she will make sure we arrive tomorrow for you."
"Where do you want to go Doctor?"
"I want to take the Master for a break and for the both of us to start talking it's hard to have a long conversation and I know you would give us time to talk things out but you shouldn't have to so I thought I would ask Sirius if you could stay here tonight and then to take you into work tomorrow and we will pick you up form there"
Harry looked first at the Master and Doctor then at Sirius who nodded his head with a smile on his face.
"Okay I will see you sometime tomorrow, and make sure the TARDIS knows you both need to come and pick me back up! How long are you planning on going for?"
"Probably for us a few months, your dad needs to talk about things, and I need to talk to him as well, you know I want us to be friends like we were and now the drums are silenced your dad is a different person I want to get to know that person properly, we are both raising you and until recently the Master had the drums ruling him. He also needs to know that even though you are a tot to us that you can look after yourself without him always in contact with you. Nothing will happen I've checked the timeline, and nothing should alter its pre-determined course before we return so we both know you will be safe and having Sirius watch over you helps calm us both"
Harry thought about it for a few seconds then nodded and got up to give both his dad and the Doctor a hug, they stayed like that or a minute then both kissed Harry's hair, gently untangling themselves the Master still holding and staring at Harry for a few more seconds still holding him. Harry just smiled at him gave him one final squeeze in his hug and let go taking a step back, so the Master had to release him.
"Go on I'll see you both tomorrow."
With that Harry watched as they walked to the TARDIS both turning around to look at him one more time then with the Doctor sending him a reassuring smile he escorted the Master into the TARDIS before he entered and shut the door behind him ten seconds later the TARDIS dematerialised with the breaks still on Harry just shook his head hoping this would move along his Dad's and the Doctors relationship.
Harry spent the night talking to Sirius about his dad and the Doctor, he had been asked if he was upset about never knowing until now who his real father was? How the two were getting on. How was the Doctor treating him? Harry spent his time thinking about each question before answering knowing these were serious questions and Sirius was just looking out for him, he knew Sirius still saw and treated him like the ten-year-old he looked. At times it annoyed Harry while at others it showed just how much Sirius cared about him and made him feel loved by the man. After their short relationship in his original universe, it was good to have spent the five years he had with Sirius. It was even better after the week they had just spent together.
Over the night and the next morning, he knew he would have to keep coming back to see him if for no other reason than Sirius would miss him terribly and he admitted to himself that he would also miss Sirius, had missed him while he was being changed and then looking over a few of the planets his dad had taken them to. They had now looked at six different planets that his father had helped over his lifespan.
The TARDIS actually turned up in the evening of the Monday, Harry had gotten slightly worried when they weren't back for lunch time but just put it down to the Doctor and his driving, he expected him to turn up a few days later than he had said anyway.
Instead of just his dad and the Doctor stepping out so too did a middle-aged woman and a boy looking slightly older than Harry.
"Hello"
All four looked to see Harry standing up from his sitting position.
"Harry, I would like you to meet an old friend of mine Sarah Jane Smith, who use to travel with me and her newly adopted son Luke Smith." The Doctor introduced the two while pointing them out to him before continuing.
"Luke is a genius beyond anything seen on earth before. He was grown with the knowledge of everyone who went through the Bane plant they had going on. I thought the two of you could get to know each other Luke is much older and intelligent like you even though they only grew him to this age, he will now grow as a human does."
"Hello, it's nice to meet you both." Replied Harry to the introduction.
Pleasantries were returned and then the adults seemed to congregate in one area and Harry and Luke ended up sat on the same sofa talking.
The Doctor was right Luke really was a genius he was as intelligent as him and he was a Timelord with five years' worth of intense teaching and training, which gave him the equivalent as degrees in multiple areas. They talked about Luke attending school and how Harry had played it off as being home schooled and got a full-time job distorting his voice and altering his appearance if he needed to.
This got both boys talking about psionics and linguistic science allowing for the energetic magical core to allow him to bend reality to his whim. Especially now as he was a Timelord as his psionic abilities seemed to come easier to him.
Finally, as it got later into the night the Doctor announced the reason for them being here as well as why he had brought along Sarah and Luke. It seemed there was something going on in Cardiff that was more unusual than normal, and Sarah had a lot of the information they needed to look into it.
It was decided to spend the night on the TARDIS as Sirius and Luke were the only one's never to have stayed on her, they were rearing to go, Harry told Luke he could share his room if he wanted, as a new room would be completely plain and set up for a timelord, and even if Luke was a genius, it would still take a few hours to explain it all to him. Sarah still had he old room on the TARDIS which surprised her a bit.
Sirius was given another companion's room who had unfortunately passed now but it was still set up for a human, other rooms in the TARDIS were set up for adult human companions other than Rose's old room that had been locked by the TARDIS, the rest were plain basic Timelord bedrooms.
The next morning came quickly enough, sat around the kitchen table they were all informed what was going on. It seemed people were now spearheading a new drug on trial in Cardiff for weight loss. The Adipose Industries were making a lot of money and people were losing weight by the buckets full.
The Doctor and the Master went in search of the company headquarters, Sarah and Sirius went around the locals who were taking the drug while leaving Harry with Luke stationed inside the TARDIS running scans on everything they needed Harry to do, it was actually a good job his dad and the TARDIS had taught him how to use her even if he was still learning how to pilot it from the actual teachers not two terrible driving Timelords.
Time seemed to progress slowly for Harry and Luke who spent most of their time with Harry instructing hm to press certain buttons or leavers for the scans and data they needed, while explaining what he was doing and why.
Harry had moved them closer to the Adipose Industries main complex as his dad, the Doctor and another woman, who seemed familiar to him for some reason, were looking through the complex. The sight outside of the TARDIS suddenly looked a lot more interesting when fat started to rise into the air towards a mothership, the two timelords and three humans had managed to stop the death, [of everyone in England and Wales] the Adipose royal family and Miss Foster would have caused, but it didn't stop thousands of newly spawned Adipose risings into the air where a royal ship had appeared to collect all that they could before anyone could stop them.
As soon as Harry saw this he warmed up the engines on the TARDIS while doing something he had never done before keeping the brake actually locked as the TARDIS ramped up in power that wasn't going anywhere because of the breaks.
Harry knew how the shields worked on a TARDIS, he knew they were the strongest in the galaxy for any time period. Harry was quickly typing away on a suddenly unseen console on the main control station and another screen shot open showing what he wanted to know and with that he released the break and the TARDIS shot off going straight up into the sky like a rocket.
Harry hit the side of the royal ships shields with the TARDIS puncing through them causing them to crash across the bigger ship, the TARDIS still fully functional came to a stop just to the side of the other ship but to its right spinning above it with its usual spin but steady and slowly.
Harry waited, he knew it wouldn't work twice but it didn't need to, they now knew just what power the TARDIS held, not that they knew what it was just that it was small and punched straight through their shields like butter, they weren't staying around to find out what else it could do and so the ship grabbed every baby fat left on earth in seconds and fled the solar system.
Harry followed them into space and watched as they moved to hyper speed and vanished then he piloted the TARDIS to slowly re-land where it had been parked previously by him next to the headquarters.
That was fun, he wondered what the Adipose would be thinking after he had ripped their shields apart with the TARDIS'. He would have loved to see their faces when they saw him shoot up from the side of them. They also knew he had followed them into space to make sure they left he knew their scanner would be able to pick the TARDIS but not get much from her other than massive power readings.
He was shocked to see his dad and the Doctor storming into the TARDIS, the Master looked like the drums were back and the Doctor the oncoming storm glairing right at Harry.
"You are The Son, you are a tot on top of that and we are your fathers until you are an adult yourself, do you understand?"
"I did not teach you to pilot this ship, for you to see if you could crash it without us here to stop you. If you had hit that ship head on, we would be burring you even you wouldn't survive the destruction of a TARDIS, not even this world would. What were you thinking?"
"That the space ship didn't come close to our power on the TARDIS and while we didn't have weapons we do have shields, the best in the known galaxies form any time period that is why I only hit their shields, I knew ours would rip them apart and could withstand anything against us , I gave them a safe way off the planet I didn't stand in their way and only followed them to make sure they left, It seem's I have to remind both of you Doctor and Master that I am also a Timelord and maybe only a tot to you two but my plan worked as I saw in the timeline and double checked with the TARDIS MAIN FRAME. Something you would both know if you weren't looking at other things at the time. And something you BOTH would have done if you could, well The Master, you Doctor would have made them just leave. Either way you look at it, the timeline played out as it should have. Furthermore, the other time this TARDIS got hit was because you left the shields down. And now I know where I know the other lady from."
Harry turned from the two Timelords who weren't looking so murderous any longer to the lady that was still stood in the door with her mouth open looking between the three, Luke was stood off to the side trying to stay out of this.
"You must be the wonderful Donna Noble, it a pleasure to meet you actually, as my dad and the Doctor said I'm the Son also Harry which is easier and funny, once these two have calmed down and are satisfied I'm safe and unhurt and then when they notice Luke and make sure he's okay" That was when the other two Timelords did look over to Luke only just noticing him
"You are welcome to come in and we'll collect your bag on the way back to my godfather's home, he can also post your car keys to your mother and get her a ticket up here from London so she won't be to annoyed with you."
"Unlike us who are with you Son, you could have KILLED yourself" Stared the Master. Harry took a deep breath.
"Actually I could have gone straight through that middle of that ship if I wanted to, I increased the shields on the TARDIS then ran the calculations while warming up the engine to stall for time. I didn't do that though because I thought one of you would be upset if I had and the other, I wanted to be proud of me because I had shown our strength yet not done any damage to anything other than their ego." He started off nonchalantly to the two, but the end was a near whisper while looking at each individually.
"That is no guarantee, the camillion circuit is not working which means this ship is never at full power!"
"for…look back through the timeline Father and check for yourself, this is a sentient ship she would not allow damage to her unless she knew she could be repaired, never mind willing blowing herself up. The shield tore through all of theirs and I just glanced their shields. Less than a second and their shields fell to ours!" Harry was talking through clenched teeth. There was a deep breath from across the room.
"He's right and the TARDIS is for some reason backing him up in what he did." Spoke the Doctor quietly to all of them.
"So you're okay with what he did with the TARDIS? Now he's inviting COMPANIONS to join us as well, we were going for peace and quiet for a few years. Not near-death experiences outside the doors every time we open them!" Spoke the Master in a very annoyed voice.
"Well, it's not all death and destruction just some running sometimes and maybe one or two bad eggs out there!"
"You might as well come in they are starting to act like an old married couple, which makes one my dad the other on his way to being my step dad, hence you can guess where part of the reason my name is what it is , anyway come in well get you set up in a room for the night, you'll have to have everything explained to you the rooms are set to timelord comfort you just need to personalise it and work out the bathroom really but it takes hours to get the gist of it and where everything is on board her. We'll drop Luke off at Sirius' and while waiting for them to get home we can sort you a room out."
"OYYY! We're still talking about fighting with my TARDIS!"
"It's all of ours now, the only one left in existence just like SATURN, we share, anyway I'm better at driving I release the break before trying to move."
"It's still fighting, you know I don't like that"
"It was a scare tactic and it worked they will never come back to earth again."
"Still I'm taking you driving privileges for a month, and while I can get a signal from SATURN you can't get a signal from the TARDIS to tell you where we are. Plus, SATURN is blocked from inside the TARDIS, you're stuck either with just Disney world for a month or you learn to properly care for a TARDIS. You can start your lessons back up on that now!"
"You're trying to ground me!"
"No I'm trying to teach you that even if the TARDIS is fond of you, you can't pull stunts like that, not yet anyway, yes you can pilot a TARDIS, you can use the computers to assist you but you do not know all of the nuances of a TARDIS main console, you won't get to anything more than your dad, you are still a tot to us, we could see the TARDIS would be fine on the outside we didn't know what the inside looked like, you know yourself you cannot see inside a TARDIS there is too much time vortex within her to be constricted like that. We may be able to see thousands of outcomes it doesn't tell us which one though or how she will look like after ramming another ship." The Doctor spoke quietly but you could see in his eyes if Harry didn't agree he would meet the oncoming storm and have to hide from, as he'd just said his future stepdad for a very long time.
"I'm sorry….. I'll relinquish SATURN to you to keep for the month and I'll take the restrictions as well as the lessons I need to, then to prove I'm sorry, I'll help put her back together properly or as properly as we could without Gallefray…..I didn't mean to worry you both so much…I thought you both kept a psychic lock on me at all times the connection is there, you could have looked through my mind to see what I was up to I trust you both with that and I know my mind is open to you both until I'm an adult and can block it and I accept that it was one thing father asked of me to be aways able to keep a psychic link open to him until I'm no longer a tot in your eyes, even you Doctor turned your link into a permanent one as well….You both have unfettered access to my mind anytime you wish to look into it I've never worried about that but when you worried for me why didn't you just check the bond to find out what I was doing and stop me if you were still concerned?"
"Your right, but we were also in a serious situation with the head of The Adipose industries who had been sent to find a new breeding ground for The Adipose royal family. We couldn't take the lack of concentration of checking in on you and to be honest I forgot the link….But you're still grounded for two weeks hand over SATURN and I'll get us to Donna's car then back to Sirius'. You can start your lessons tomorrow and you will go through the full engineering course properly until you can help the both of us work on her if we need you to. Fair?" Spoke the Doctor gently this time though.
Harry didn't answer he just ran to him and gave him a big hug which the Doctor slowly returned. Placing a kiss on Harry head the Doctor stepped back holding his hand out. Harry just nodded and for the first time since he had bonded with her, he released SATURN from his arm and handed it over to the Doctor with care.
Infront of him he went to the main control centre and entered something in it. then a panel opened to show a type of safe or something, you wouldn't know it was there if not for it being open now. The Doctor placed SATURN inside and closed the door, it relocked automatically.
"Two weeks and you can have her back, no one will be able to get to her where she is and the TARDIS will protect her for you. You'll have her back in two weeks and if you need to talk to someone like you do SATURN then as you pointed out both your dad and I are here for you okay?"
Harry just nodded and giving both men another hug, he went to his room without looking back he didnt want them to see him utterly devastated. He threw up numerous wards to prevent anyone getting in then he sat on the floor against one of his bedroom walls and the first tears fell. He felt wretched. After about half an hour and feeling the TARDIS move, he placed his hand on the wall and asked the TARDIS to inform the Doctor that Luke would take his room at Sirius' and that a room would be set aside for him next time he came, Harry could see in time, Luke and him becoming good friends and would occasionally travel with them in the future.
He stayed in his room still devastated with tears leaking from his eye's even after they had arrived at Sirius'. However about two hours later he felt his wards crumbling from something interfering with them then suddenly his door was opened, the Doctor came in pocketing his screwdriver which Harry still wasn't happy about not getting his own, he had to build his first one, and that hadn't been covered yet in his lessons,
He tried to scowl at the Doctor for pulling his wards down and then just coming in but before he could get a word out the Doctor was sat next to him pulling him onto his lap and hugging him.
Shhh….It's going to be alright you've already been forgiven and as you can guess your dad and I have been keeping the link open, I gave you time to calm down and I know you feel devastated but that is how both your dad and I felt, in a sense you are both our son, we are both bringing you up and I know at times you feel like an adult but as we've explained, you just aren't, you are still a tot to us and to see one we thought could be dead, devastated the both of us its why we were so upset, you know our biology makes us care a great deal for you, but I care for you like that and more it's as if you are part my son at times, at others I see your dad in you but I also know you are your own person, but Null you gave us both a massive scare, its only when you went into space we knew you must have been alright. Up until then….We both feared you would go through your first regeneration if you had not had the console explode on you. How would we explain that to Sirius, at best you would lose a life, and change into someone new.
We had stopped their main plan to harvest this world for their babies but we both knew if we took care of Miss Foster then the Adipose would leave after rescuing all the young they could get at. Why didn't you follow the timeline as we were doing?"
"I thought this was a better outcome they now know the earth is protected they won't come back now ever you know yourself if you looked at all the timelines that it was a possibility, I didn't want to take that gamble if they did it again and we hadn't been here when it happened then it could have colossal effects on the human population. It could have killed them all off and we would have to cross our own timeline to put it right it could have immense effects on history."
"You know we both deeply love you right? Your dad isn't in here with me because he's upset at himself for upsetting you, I think he's doing the same in his own room as you were doing in here. But you know we are both here for you for anything don't you?"
Harry just nodded and snuggled closer into the Doctor and feeling his body being squeezed a bit more he believed the Doctor when he said that he was forgiven.
"You know I love you both equally, with dad it was instant the connection was just there in an instant, with you it took longer but I do love you both the same." Spoke Harry in a soft voice you could hear in his voice that he had been crying.
He fell asleep like that, so the Doctor gently lifted him and placed him in his bed, then removed his shoes, socks and top. Leaving him only in his jeans to sleep in. He watched over him for over an hour before going in search of the Master to help him sort himself out as well. Really, they both needed to talk it had been both devastating and terrifying watching as they thought Null might have to re-generate through the stunt, he had just pulled on them.
They actually stayed at Sirius' for the full week without leaving the house, well Harry and his dad did the Doctor had taken Sarah and Luke home, which only took the Doctor a couple of hours. Harry kept his word and started back in on his lessons taking the engineering course as well as carrying on with his regular studies.
The week passed as though in slow motion, the only exciting thing that happened were them showing Donna how to set her room up and use the bathroom as well as taking her on a tour of the TARDIS and where the important rooms were. Finally, after the week which Harry knew was being done as part of his punishment, if he had SATURN could have taken him and Luke to Disney world or even just some time on earth, but without it he knew he needed to get out of the house and off earth. He felt trapped there and really didn't like it. What was worse he could see his dad getting enjoyment out of the punishment the Doctor had laid down he felt like Harry was now the one on a tether not him. Luckily Sirius hadn't been told and he had worn shirts to hide the fact SATURN was missing.
