They arrived in Torchwood main hub in Cardiff surprising everyone there including Sirius.
"Hi guys this is Donna she is traveling with us at the moment and my dads have gone for some time on their own, if the timeline plays out they should be back at here in about an hour."
"Harry, how are you? You don't normally pop into here you normally come through the entrance." Spoke Jack with his award-winning smile.
"I didn't know who was monitoring it and didn't know if they would let Donna in, I thought you might let me show her the cells and explain what happens here. Who you have in and what species, the TARDIS translation matrix will allow Donna to understand what they are saying."
"You can but you know I don't like you down there on your own, take Sirius with you to keep an eye on you I might be unkillable but I don't want your dad shooting me because of something happening here." Spoke Jack as he did when he commanded his team.
"That's no problem, I'm not all knowing like the Master and Doctor so I might not recognise some of the species you have down there to explain to Donna if I can't Sirius should be able to explain it to us!" Spoke Harry he was excited they held a lot of different aliens down there and he had only seen the cells a few times before.
Soon they were off with Sirius in the lead answering all of Donna's questions that he could, some things were under the British Secrecy Act. However there seemed to be an awful lot of Weevils in the cells.
"What's going on with all the Weevils, I've never seen you have to house this many?"
"We don't know, they are coming up to the surface more and more at night-time in larger groups each time, until we can sort that out, they will have to stay secured in the cells"
"Have you got enough cells to put even more Weevils in?" Asked Harry looking through the cells at all the different Weevils in there.
"We still have the lower cells if we need it, but we are working on the problem at the moment and are bringing in any large groups we find during the night." Answered Sirius to both of them.
"Who's doing the nightly patrols the whole team is awake and working, if you are collecting these Weevils at night how long are you working for each day?" asked Harry back.
"We all are at the moment, we've been splitting it so we all get a decent sleep, only two nights a week are we out at night and we don't come in until lunch the day after, normally today is an ordinary working day for me I'm not going out tonight and I didn't last night both Tosh and I cover two of the night's., Jack and Ianto do another two nights and Owen and Gwen do the next two then we just rotate it, we have an in with the local main police now so they know to call us for anything weird. Jack has had me do a lot of memory charms, and obliviates, on the police force they are the ones bringing in the big groups, well spotting them and reporting to us. But Jack doesn't want them remembering what they have seen, it's getting worse though and we don't know why, it's what we've been working on for the last few weeks."
"Who else have you got down here?" Asked Donna she was studying the Weevils
"Quite a few actually, follow me."
They spent the rest of their time with Sirius, Harry and Donna seeing a wide variety of very different aliens to what they had seen so far. Sirus told them what they were and why they were there, some were just waiting to be sent home others were a danger to Earth and so stayed in a cell. A lot just wanted to get back to their own world. Sirius assured them Torchwood was doing all they could for the ones needing to go home. They had just made it back up to the main floor of Torchwood when they all herd the vomp, vomp, vomp, of the Tardis re-materialising with the brakes still on, at least he knew who was driving.
Soon out stepped the Master and then the Doctor, both looking around for him, when they spotted him, he was running towards them and grabbed them both in a hug around their middles.
"I know it's only been a morning, but I've missed you both, more than I realised." Spoke Harry gently into the two Timelords.
"Well come on then Donna lets be off now we have collected you both." Spoke the Doctor over Harry's head.
"Wait you've only came to pick these two up?" asked Sirius and Jack together.
"I could do with you two looking over some data for me the Weevils are really acting strange around Cardiff but only around here. They are now traveling in large groups, we have one full level of them with four to a cell already, they can't be realised until we know what's going on. I could use some help Doctor and Mater." Spoke Jack
"Okay, did you two sort things out?" asked Harry looking at his dad and Theta
"We did we have a lot to talk about with you but yes, we opened up to each other as you asked, its why we were later than we said we stayed in the vortex so we wouldn't be seen or heard and then we spent some time on the holiday planet the Master created, just to spend time together and talk."
"So does the TARDIS need charging? If so, I'll drop her off near the rift and then take Donna shopping, I'll need money though, Donna's mum wasn't happy with her. But I got that straighten out, Wilfred knew so after she had left, they talked about what she had done and seen. It was a nice visit with him, he really was delighted to hear Donna talk about her adventures. We gave him the dying star bracelet. It looks manly for him to wear or just keep as a reminder, he had asked Donna last time to carry on visiting the stars and to bring a bit of one home for him, he was shocked that is exactly what we did for him I think he will wear it, it allows him to always keep part of the stars with him. He's really into astronomy and spends nights at a time looking up at the stars through his telescope. He such a nice man."
"Your right yes, the TARDIS does need to recharge. Okay Harry this is the plan, you take the TARDIS to recharge her and take Donna she can help with the other thing we need to do while here. We will stay here until you come back. Check the TARDIS is full when you finish, bring her back here, if she isn't, come back here using SATURN and we will all go to the TARDIS together." Spoke the Doctor while giving Harry another squeeze in the hug to show he trusted him and loved him, it was also probably because they checked the timeline for him and them, they were letting him take the TARDIS on her own. The Doctor truly did trust him, the Master just ruffled is hair with one hand while keeping the other one around Harry.
"Show me how to pull money out of a cash machine with my probe then please I had to leave the rest for Donnas mum…..Which reminds me…Sirius thank-you for sorting Donnas mum out but you could have checked the car for petrol she was not happy to get here and find the car empty of fuel! We left the money for that, plus the two months' rent Donna has missed. We told her that Donna was being paid to travel the world with us I had to run through an alternate timeline it was actually of me and dad traveling all over the world together using my telepathy on Donna with her permission I give her descriptions of places on earth and their history that I had seen in the timeline."
"That's sounds like you handed it well, Wilfred would have seen Donna from the TARDIS but probably knew what her mother can be like and didn't say anything, I mean if he hadn't seen her in the sky standing and waving from the TARDIS' doors then he wouldn't have known. Also let me show you what to do to pull cash out of a machine" Spoke the Master.
Ten minutes of an explanation and another hug to his dad's and Sirius, Harry and Donna were in the TARDIS and she just faded out of sight.
"How come it made no noise it always does when arriving and leaving." Asked a perplexed Jack seeing how he knew what she sounded like arriving and departing, the landings were the worst they always fell, nearly everyone had to hang on to something.
"Because I taught Harry how to use her, now he's taking his engineering course and learning all about the intricate details of growing a Tardis and how to repair one as well as navigate with it. Plus, HE remembers to take the bloody breaks off when traveling that is how a TARDIS should look and sound like when arriving or departing, not the way the Doctor does it." Spoke the Master with some humour.
"ANYWAY…. What did you want our help with exactly?" spoke the Doctor trying to stop everyone looking at him in amusement. He got where he needed to go, and the TARDIS worked like that. Plus he had been told that noise brings both hope and adventure. He wasn't changing that.
Donna and Harry had rematerialized where he was told to and waited for a few minutes to make sure the energy was filling the TARDIS once he was sure he took Donna's arm pulled them both out of the TARDIS, holding her arm he apparated them from the TARDIS to a side ally near one of the big food stores. Donna was not impressed and told him so, she also told him to make sure to ask next time and explained it felt like a budgie being sucked up a hoover nozzle.
"Sorry you're right I should have warned you but believe it or not it's easier to do it that way than to use SATURN and is less obvious. Anyway, we are just around the corner of the store lets walk to it and grab two trollies each we will need them at least one needs to be filled with milk, the rest is tins and stables plus other items that are no longer available in time. So we have to grab them now, while we can."
It took them three hours to do the shopping luckily Harry could shrink everything down and put it in one of his bigger on the inside pockets of his trousers and coat. Before they went for another round of shopping. The store had cash machines outside and so with Donna covering what he did while having a go at him for technically just stealing money.
"I pulled it from the Doctors Unit account, that was what took so long, it's easy to pull just money out of a cash machine but to pull it from another account was harder and that is what they explained for me to do." The Doctor had worked for some sort of UNIT off and on since its conception, the money had built up over time with interest a few shares that the Doctor knew would be a good investment also added interest to the account.
"Come on let's start shopping the most important is the milk, "
They ended up filling one and a half trollies with just milk cartons all of them different types, so they had a variety of range, the only thing he didn't get was full whole milk, none of the Timelords seemed to like that particular milk. Harry knew he certainly didn't.
Once they had gone through all the store and paid nearly a thousand pounds for food they were finally finished, Harry had gone mad on the sweets section as well though filling a trolly from just that isle, he grabbed chocolate, Haribo's. and other such sweets.
Tea and coffee were brought in bulk along with everything needed to make hot chocolate and pancakes two of their favourite things.
They ended up using ten trollies and doing three trips in all, then they were back around the corner, Harry had already checked for surveillance the first time now he looked to make sure they were alone. A few buttons pressed on SATURN and they rematerialized in the control room of the TARDIS.
Harry didn't check to see her fuel levels he just carried on straight through into the living areas of the TARDIS to the main kitchen, it took them an hour from staring to pull the bags out of his pockets, to him and Donna putting it all away. He put the used carrier bags into the re-cycler, Donna made two cups of coffee while he put the most uncommon food stuff aways where it went.
They walked through to the control room and saw that the TARDIS was fully recharged, so handing his mug off to Donna he set the navigator for ten seconds later to arrive at the Torchwood hub in Cardiff. As like before they phased out of one place and into the other.
Taking his coffee off Donna they both made their way out of her.
"Hi everyone."
"Ah Harry Good you're back, I need the TARDIS to run some calculations for Jack" And that said the Doctor was squeezing his shoulder while trying to pass him.
"Did you find something then?" asked Harry
"Erm….Yes….We have a flasher Weevil on our hands!" Spoke the Doctor with amusement in his voice. Harry looked over to the Master who just nodded, you could see the laughter he was holding in, through his eyes.
"Yes. He's serious, we have a trench coat wearing flashing Weevil, what's funnier is it killed jack last week and stole his coat, that's what Torchwood and the Doctor are doing, looking for a Weevil in just Jacks coat, he's not wearing anything else!" answered the Master with a smirk on his face.
"Why didn't you tell me earlier I could have used SATURN to help you?"
"Because it's embarrassing enough, there is a Weevil out there wearing MY coat flashing people! I only told the Doctor and the Master because I need their help we've been at this a month now he started off using a black trench coat now he's using my coat, what's next, are the Weevils evolving from what we all thought they were? If so, why go to flashing people and scaring them? They normally just try to kill if they come above ground but as you've seen we have those groups contained and they are all in their boiler suits bar this one."
"Okay see what the Doctor can find out, he should be able to back track him and find out where it is he is living if nothing else, then we just have to trap him there so he can't escape, tranquilise him, bring him back here to one of the cells and put him back in a boiler suit. That way Jack gets his coat back…. Well once it's been deep cleaned!" Harry added humorously at the end of the outline of his plan for them.
"And I've got where its living, which I think will confirm its not evolution thankfully, however it is learnt behaviour." Spoke the Doctor from within the TARDIS door frame with a smile on his lips and a twinkle in his eyes.
"Where?" they all asked even Donna and Jack's team
"A porn shop from where you tried to catch it the other night but it was leaving the building you reported In the file. It wasn't leaving it was returning to its home" Snorted the Doctor.
"So…..You're saying Jack lost his coat because there must be posters or something in the shop showing a flasher movie for sale, is his flasher even real or is it prosthetic?" Asked Harry with a shit eating grin on his face looking back between the Doctor and Jack. As he thought would happen everyone except Jack burst out laughing even the Master gave a chuckle and it was genuine.
"Please can we just get my coat back!" Begged Jack, he missed his coat, and a replica wouldn't do.
"Fine come on you five let's go and grab us a Weevil." Spoke the Doctor while pointing to Harry the Master, Jack and Donna.
An hour later, saw the TARIS re-materialising where it had before. Jack came out first with a boiler dressed Weevil who was unconscious over his shoulder held in place with his arm, and his filthy coat in his other hand, handing the coat off to Ianto he walked down to the cells, the three Timelord and Donna followed him out.
"We take it everything went alright?" Asked Ianto for the group that had stayed behind.
"I wouldn't know according to my dad's I'm too young to look at porn so had to stay in the TARDIS with Donna so I couldn't follow them with the TARDIS computers!" Spoke Harry throwing his hands in the air.
"I agree with them you are too young you might as well wait until your body hits thirteen to fourteen." Spoke Sirius while looking at Harry.
"Sirius I'm nearly forty, at least, I think I am. I can look at porn in fact when I was thirteen and fourteen everyone in our dorm, apart from me, had porn. But as my body hadn't matured there really wasn't much choice. But it's not as though I haven't seen porn before. How many times do I have to tell you it looked like I grew until I was seventeen and then disappeared into our own section of the ministry? Everyone thought I was the age I actually was not how I looked, we knew that as Unspeakables we would live a lot longer, even only the halves of Times children would usually live a much longer life, seven hundred I think is the oldest one I met and was still working only looking in his mid-sixties early seventies and lively for that age of a human."
"You're still a child to those that matter." Spoke Sirius with conviction.
"FINE, anyway we are only waiting for Jack to return and then were off!" Spoke Harry as he walked over to Sirius and pulled him into a hug which was reciprocated with enthusiasm. Jack turned up five minutes later and after another round of goodbye's they were off into the time vortex.
