With him being so uptight and strict and her the kind who listens to her heart above all, will they be able to see eye to eye or will he expel her from his squad too?

A lot changed in the battle against Yhawch, enough to send Ichigo back in time before the Soul King was even sealed. A slight change, a single moment too long, leads to "Old man Zangetsu" not being the primary spirit in charge of Ichigo's powers.
