Ankita pulled the hoodie up to cover her long, dark brown hair. She had braided it as well to make sure it wouldn't get in the way. She hid behind a tree, her ice blue eyes watching the house through the darkness.
"You cheating bitch!" She growled.
Her boyfriend - soon to be ex - Dolph always liked to call himself a dirty dog. To Ankita he would never again be referred to as anything else but a bitch. She had known he had been cheating for a while with his coworker Dana but she never had any proof until now. His car was outside of Dana's house but he had claimed to be away for the weekend for a work conference.
She ran through the darkness and up to the window with the light on inside. The curtains were pulled shut but there was a crack in them that revealed just enough. She could see Dolph and Dana on the couch in a tight embrace, both naked, almost swallowing each other's faces.
When she first started suspecting this was going on, it had hurt. She had cried. She had suffered. She had gone through all the emotions she needed to go through. Now she was done. There was no more tears and no more suffering. Just a petty feeling of wanting to get revenge.
"Fucking bitch!" She whispered.
She turned around and walked back to his car. Raindrops started falling. She knew they would get heavy rain tonight but she thought she had time. She had to hurry before the drops turned into a rainstorm.
She pulled out the super glue from her pocket and ran it down the cracks by the doors, hoping it would be enough for the doors not to open. The rain got heavier while she waited for the glue to dry. A minute later it was pouring down. She turned to leave but slipped. She fell backwards into the car, and the car alarm went off.
"Fuck!" She said loudly.
Seconds later the front door got torn open, and Dolph was staring at her. The rain and the hoodie helped disguising her. All he could see was someone messing with his car.
"Who are you? What the fuck are you doing with my car?" He yelled.
She turned around and started running through the darkness. She heard him run after her while Dana was yelling out his name. She sprinted as fast as she could, knowing she had the advantage of wearing shoes while he was running through a cold, rainy night in nothing but his boxers.
She kept running until she was absolutely sure he had stopped and was nowhere near her anymore. She stopped to try and catch her breath. Her lungs felt like they were on fire. She was soaking wet from the rain but she was hot. She pulled the hoodie down, leaned her head backwards, and opened her mouth to catch some rain to try and cool down her sore throat. She heard a car pull up, and for a moment she was scared Dolph had taken Dana's car to catch her. The window rolled down and she heard her brother Randy's voice.
"Ankita? What the hell are you doing out in the pouring rain? Get inside before you catch a cold. There's a blanket in the trunk. Cover the seat with it so you don't get it too wet," he said.
She grabbed the blanket from the trunk and ran to the passenger seat. She quickly put the blanket over the seat and got it.
"You're gonna make my car smell like wet dog," he said.
"Dog. Funny you should use that word," she said.
"Dolph?" He asked.
"We broke up," she said.
"How did he take it?" He asked.
"I don't know. I'll tell him in the morning or whenever he feels the need to call me with some made up story about his car," she said.
"Okay, what did you do? I know you did something," he said.
She turned her head and looked at him. He was staring at her. A sideways smirk slowly crept up on her face.
"I'm not driving until you tell me what you did. Whatever it is, I'm sure he deserved it. I never liked that bastard," he said.
"Bitch," she said.
"Huh?" He asked.
"He's a bitch now," she said.
"Whatever you say," he chuckled. "So what did you do to the bitch?"
Her smirk turned into a grin.
"Ankita?" He asked in a playful tone. "What did you do?"
"His car is parked at his mistress' house," she said.
"And?" He asked.
"I super glued the doors shut," she said.
He broke out in a loud laughter. She started laughing too. For a while they both just sat there, laughing as loud as the heavy rain. Tears were running down both of their cheeks from laughing so hard. He dried his cheeks and patted her knee.
"That sounds like something I would have done," he said.
"I learned from the best," she said.
"I'm proud of you," he chuckled. "Okay, you spent the night with me. We watched the two first Terminator movies."
"Everything after the first two is shit," she said.
"Exactly," he said. "And you slept in my guest room. You were nowhere near Dolph's car, and you don't even know who his mistress is."
"Never met her," she grinned. "Thank you, Randy."
"What else is a big brother for if not to be your partner in crime and cover your ass?" He asked. "You better fucking call him tomorrow morning and break up with speakers on. I wanna hear that little bitch cry."
