AN: Sorry for the long wait… half way through the move I got a new job that is 11 hours a day 5 days a week… I wrote this and it's *barely* edited but I had the inspiration in the form of pondering my own life decisions and existence… anyways updates will be alot slower from now on, ill try once a week on either sunday or sat.. but it might be every 2 weeks on the weekend, I'll do my best!
Also I started adding 'Nii' like 'nii-san' or brother and near the end I tell why...but there might be more to why he is a brother than death...:3
Also sorry to say fugaku is not the father.. although i agree with andr3wwsw4g in the reveiws, it would be funny if he sublty wanted to -ahem-the fourths wife.
I say ahem cuz im not sure how strict the pg policys are on , but they cant be too harsh considering some of the things iv read on here ;3

Halfway through the forest I start hopping along the taller rocks like a poor man's version of hopscotch. Shisui eyes me and stays near like he is ready to watch me if I fall.
In any other circumstance I wouldn't childishly risk an injury but I doubt Shi will let me get hurt.
I saved him so he must save me, to give unto give and receive~ or something along those lines.
We have been walking for two weeks now, between the sunny rains making us camp out in Earth-style constructed tents and Shisui randomly picking me up and sprinting in a different direction. The only idea of how close we are is based on Shisui's knowledge.
Reaching along a flat surface on the top of the outcrop i pick up a people and throw it into the shadow of a crevance between the two rocks cracked sectors, the crack is overgrown, if I didn't know better I'd say the vines made the crack and didn't just form there after it was made.
But on second thought this is the Harashiama Forests surrounding the Naka River.
Many battles were fought on this land, a fair amount of them forming the forests we walk in.
Wood release is such an overdone power. Very versatile, so useful. It's a shame one of the only users in history had to go down spending most of his time on paperwork.
Judging the distance between the two sides of the crevice I prepare to jump, just as I am about to jump, rolling the weight under my heel as the rock under me slips.
I let out a shriek as I fell into the crevice , the fall was surprisingly long, I hit a root halfway through then I rolled for a while more.
My back is sore by the time I reach the bottom, Bruises forming on my arms and knees from attempting to brute the fall.
How did I even survive that? Chakra is one hell of a drug.
Looking up I see I am in a huge cave, the sunlight filtering through the greenery in the crevice high above. The cavern filled the tunnels, like the inside of an anthill… if ants were 3 feet tall and as big as a motorcycle… I shiver at the idea, with toads as big as mountains who knows if there are ants the same size scaling. Once again… Chakra is one hell of a drug… turning animals huge to bringing people back from the dead.
Speaking of Chakra, I feel my own flooding the sites of injury received on the way down.
I lay flat while I wait for the pain to fade and prepare to get back up.
Shisui likely can't fit through that hole. He will have to go through a different route.
I stand up judging the various tunnel holes , seeing what ones have the most likely chance of leading to the exit.
Judging by feeling for airflow, whether it is uphill or downhill, even how moist the dirt at the entrance is.
I finally figured out a good tunnel that will likely lead to the top. I can still feel Shisui's chakra above, about half a mile above. This cavern really is deep.
He won't leave me here right? Shinobi are supposed to be cold blooded but according to the timeline I know it is in his best interest to let the world think he is staying dead. He has no other commitments right?
I feel Shisui's chakra do little circles around the top of the rock, likely searching for an entrance. I feel his chakra flare in earth nature, likely making an entrance for himself.
I follow the tunnel that I found, leading upwards as most as I can. I'm walking for what feels like hours and Shisui's chakra gets more exhausted as he digs deeper and deeper, the earth getting harder to move the more compact it is.
After a few more minutes of walking I sit down and give up in irritation, he will find me eventually. I am probably moving further away than the direction he needs.
I plop onto my back and take a deep breath, the air is musty with only the faint breeze to circulate it, there is no lack of oxygen, the moss covering the ground and vines holding up the tunnels make sure of that.
I put my hand on the moss and gently brush it in boredom, feeling the speks of chakra within it, like little bioluminescent sparks.
They don't actually light up, although it would be cool if it did. Chakra is within everything here, seeping into everything, being emitted by everything.
Every inhale I take: I breathe in a bit of chakra. A tiny amount really.
I feel Shisui's Chakra getting closer, strained and tired. I probably shouldn't be resting lazily when he is trying so hard to find me.
I flare my chakra gently, enough for him to feel but not anyone further to notice and track us down.
I hear the loud earth moving and I roll forward. Backing away from the tunnel wall that is beginning to collapse to let shisui in.
"Kid! Found you!" I hear him yell over the crumbling earth.
"SHI! The cave is freakin HUGE!" I Yell as if that is an explanation and an excuse as to why I jumped and fell in.
Shisui huffs for a few moments then sits down next to me.
Then plops down into the moss I was resting in while he catches his breath.
He rolls forward and points at me.
"You! You are too much work! Kami-damned toddler getting lost in tunnels."
I have the humility to keep my mouth shut.
He picks me up and hoists me onto his back.
He starts running along the tunnel walls, at some points using chakra to stick to the surfaces to bypass the vertical strain.
Once we reach the surface, the dirt around the entrance of his man-made tunnel is wet and muddy.
He plops me down into the dirt, my but hitting the mud a tad bit harshly.
Looking up Shi down a few hand seals and bites his thumb.
In his hand appears a crow, holding a scroll.
" This" He says, grabbing the scroll with his free hand. " Is the Crow summoning scroll."
What? Why is he showing this to me? Isn't Itachi supposed to be the next summoner after his death?
"You are going to sign it and learn the summoning seals so next time we get separated, you summon one and you SIT and you WAIT for me to come get you, got that?"
I cringe at his tone of voice, like a man who just had to babysit a misbehaving toddler for the first time.
"Yes-sir, Shi-nii" I say with a gulp.
"Do you know how to write your name down?"
" Yep! They taught me how to write when I worked for the teashop!"
Shisui unfurls the scroll and places it on a clean section of the rock, unsealing an inkstone from a compartment of who-knows-where.
I read the names on the scroll, I feel my heart drop what could be described as two octaves but i try not to show it.
' Shisui Uchiha'
' Itachi Uchiha'
Are the last two names on the list, all of them above are few in number and striked out with an angry red line.
Shisui looks at the scroll and the lines marked out with a frown.
His frown disappears as fast as it appeared.
"Alright kiddo! Just sign here then put some blood on the square next to it. Then I'll teach you the signs, you got a ton of chakra so you should have no problem getting some to leak into your hands to execute the jutsu, your horrible chakra control aside."
I sign my name and look down at my thumb, considering the force needed to make it bleed.
Shisui seems to understand and he pulls out a kunai and pricks my thumb for blood, however it heals faster than we can squeeze blood out.
He huffs and grabs my hand, bringing the kunai down horizontally, slicing my palm and letting it drip onto the square before my chakra seals the cut again with eaze, the wound sizzling closed in just ten seconds.
After that he lets the blood dry and furls the scroll closed and hands it to the waiting corvid that soon puffs out of existence.
He sits me down and shows me eight signs and pushes my hands into the correct shapes when I get them wrong, making sure to memorise this for future use.
After two hours or so of repeating the signs in a clumsy sped up maner and pushing chakra into them I manage to summon a crow. A Huge puff of smoke and a tiny black crow puffs out, its feathers tinted red, perhaps summons take after it's summoner?
I'd likely never need to know.
The bird looks up at me before pecking at my hand, I wince as it draws a bit of blood, seeming to taste it. The little bird seems to nod before puffing out of existence.
Shisui pats his thighs and gets up from the crouched position he was in to look down at me.
" Well that about does it, they like you alot I'd say. Usually they make you take a test or ask for a tribute or something… on second thought that wouldn't be too good for you to disappear after the day we have had…"
" Eeeh? A test? Disappear? Shi-nii why didn't you warn me?"
"It's not that big of a deal kid, just shut up okay?"
"Fine! But next time warn me!"
Shisui looks up and rubs his temples.
" We got a three day walk till the next village, I hope you are saving some of that attitude for the walk there."
Wait he isn't gonna carry me for three days? That's just not fair- Okay maybe it is.. He DID just give me a summoning contract…
I shut my mouth as to show I am in agreement to not sas.
'Shi-nii'
I started calling him nii ironically, after all we are siblings of death.
He is supposed to be dead and I already died.
I wonder what that makes Hidan, maybe a weird uncle that your relatives don't like inviting to parties?
Either way, overthinking it isn't going to help, I had an entire year of infancy while laying in a cradle to do that.
