Set during The Kindness of Strangers. Merlin does things differently, starting with deciding to face Morgana and becoming more involved with helping the people like him. He knows he has to find a solution, but choosing one side, he might endanger this other.

Set after Season 4, but before Season 5. This is my take on a way Arthur could have come to accept magic. Arthur and his Knights are out hunting, when they come face to face with the legendary Queen Mab, but things are not as they appear. Despite Arthurs' mistrust, this Queen and her King may have more in common with him and Gwen then he would like to admit.

"Oh, you see, after so many years of dinner with Gaius you sort of start to think a lot about soup." Arthur struggles with the responsibilities of being King and Merlin is there to give him a piece of his mind. Now a two-shot because Merlin deserves some comfort too.

Working in a chain cafe is no way to spend eternity, but Merlin's too tired to even think about trying for something better. Striking up a conversation with the frantic student who's been camping in the corner for most of the day is just one more way of killing time. He wasn't expecting a crash course in medieval lit. Merlin, as the Dolma becomes Arthur's advisor on all things magical. Also, I wish they added the Dolma and Dragoon the Great to the character list. Oh, Dragoon also might make another appearance. Lancelot and Elyan are alive.
