With Hope as a new friend my scandal started changing.
I kept running and tai chi for the morning, and during class hours I kept to the library, making it all fit inside my Grimory which was enchanted to have infinity pages, organized it self by subject, and open in the right page on demand.
I also created a dark version to a spell that most witches use that enhance your mind, eyes and hands speed whose regular version didn't work on me because of my werewolf abilities, making me fast enough to be able to finish the entire library in two years.
The real change was after class, with Hope joining my table in the library where I helped her with homework and after which she took me outside to teach me how to fight, something that I did while suppressing my werewolf abilities and had my ass kicked multiple times.
As time passed we got closer, with her telling me about her family and the reason they had to keep distance, and me telling her about being a siphoner while still having a 'magic core' of my own.
I didn't tell her anything about my ritual to suck dark magic nor about how I'm also a werewolf as while trusting her, I didn't trust her family, which she did.
As for me being from another dimension? It's a secret I'm talking to the grave (which hopefully would never come.)
It took 8 years, but I'm finally done.
My Grimory possess all the knowledge from the books of the entire school, both from the public library and the teachers privet libraries.
I became a master in dark magic, and a beginner in necromancy, which seems like the school only gave the basics in, so I can't learn more.
Right now the school doesn't have any more to teach me, and I only have two reasons to stay.
Hope and Malivor.
My best friend and the threat and opportunity that will come in a few years.
With 4 years until Malivor start sending monsters, I had enough time to learn something that will help me in the future.
With my status as a siphoner spirit and ancestral magic was out of question as spirits saw me as abomination.
I had no desire to kill a dozen witches, werewolves, and vampires each to learn the most unreliable Dark magic called expression.
And most of the other studies could be replicated by my own studies into dark magic.
Which was why I decided to start learning a mostly forgotten subject, one that the school only had the basics to in books because only the basics were really explored, one that combine witchcraft and science.
Alchemy.
Alchemy is the ability to change an object from one form to another permanently, yet it's also about knowing an object from inside out.
If we are talking about a persons body, then to be able to change it I would need both knowledge about organs, cells, and DNA, and also about the atoms that built them all.
It was the most knowledge based magical study, and one I had to reach the top in to perfect my body.
My routine changed once more.
I started by using 1 year of intense studying with the mental enhancement on, learning every day all day except my two hours of running and tai chi, an hour of helping Hope with homework and an hour of martial arts and 6 hours of sleep, making it 14 hours of constant studying university level biology, physics and chemistry books.
I explained to Hope how I am in the middle of learning something important, which is why we didn't spend as much time together, and why when she never came asking for help when the disaster struck.
Her father, mother and uncle died, something I knew would happen but hoped my friendship with her would prevent.
Her crying on my shoulder while telling me she's the reason they are dead broke my heart, which is when I also knew another thing- I love her! Not as a friend, but as a man loves a woman.
Yet as she told me about Roman, her first kiss and his betrayal, about Landon and her crush at the normal boy who would never be normal, I recognized one truth.
She will never love me like that.
I was never in the race, I'm her friend, her best friend, but never more.
So I smiled my first fake smile in this world, one that I never felt the need to have before as the only one to notice me never made me feel like I need to and hugged her while listening to her crying as she continued telling her story.
When she finished I could only say
"I would be here for you till you don't need me anymore."
"What if I will always need you?" She asked as she lay her head on me
"Then you will give me some of your blood and turn me into a vampire." I said, kissing her head "I will help your family keep their promise to you of always and forever."
The next two years were spent developing specific spells that did a magical scan on anything they were pointed to and have them write in his Grimory the origin of the thing, the magic it was built upon and its scientific build up based on the knowledge the Grimory had in already, which was expanded by a visit with Hope to her aunts in New Orleans.
The thing alchemy explained best is that everything was built in foundations.
Whether it's atoms or magical energy, every single thing has its basics in which they are built upon, and instead of trying to understand high level specific subjects, if I master the basics to the highest level I can deduce the higher subjects on my own.
After learning that and creating the spell, I scanned Hope, a vampire, werewolf and a witch to see if I can study them.
The witch was almost a complete dud.
As no one could explain why certain bloodlines have magic in them, my spell had nothing to study from except the magical core.
With knowledge of how to make talismans in the book and the magical core's shape and special radiation now recorded into the book, a combination of both of them was created by combining the shape with the best methods in creating talismans, making a creating of self filling talisman somewhat closer to reality.
The werewolf on the other hand was much more interesting.
The werewolf gene seemed to be noticed by the spell, and my Grimory seemed to connect it to full moon and shapeshifting curses, creating a semi-combination on its own of a ritual that will make a werewolf become a wolf for the entire month with the exception of the full moon, something he learned before from Hope that happened to the pack of her mother.
It also created an enchantment based on the sun ring a moon ring that lets a werewolf change during the day, another thing he knew possible yet he has no knowledge of how.
The vampire scan was the best.
The body seem to live on sun energy, which is the most common yet hardest energy to harness, while the conscience seem to live of the energy in their own blood, which makes it necessary for them to take blood from others as it drains their own.
The reason the sun can kill them is that they are filled with its energy to the pick since the moment of their turning, and by touching the sun energy they can't handle it.
He wasn't able to recreate the vampire ritual because of one main reason- he didn't have the immortality ritual that was based on that.
He did, however, manage to find out from Hope's scan that he could use her blood as a catalyst instead of the a doppelgänger's blood for the vampire ritual as she is a born one instead of created.
After reaching that point, he decided to leave alchemy for now to focus on the last thing he needed to learn before the monsters start pouring in- prison world creation
Creating prison worlds should be perhaps the most difficult thing to do, especially if you are not a Bennet.
The reason for that is simple.
The way bloodlines of witches become more powerful is by imprinting their magical success onto their DNA.
It means, that witches who mastered elemental magic would make it so their children has natural talent to them.
It was why the Mikaelson family was so good at dark magic.
Why pyromancer witches whose ancestors only used fire magic for generations find it harder to use anything else but fire
Why the bennet witches are talented in so many things
Qetsiyah or Tessa, was the most successful witch in history.
Not only did she created the true immortality potion, but she was the first to create a magical dimension on purpose.
Sure, there were/are other magical dimensions that were made before she was born, but all of those were created out of pure emotion, Tessa was the first that created it on purpose.
Those two things, and all the other things she mastered, created a legacy for her descendants to work upon, which is why Bennetts has the only natural disposition.
All the other dimensional creations were made by cheating and using the blood of a Bennett to ease the process.
But I don't want that.
I don't want to learn how to create a dimension the easy way.
I want to learn how to make a prison world- a world identical to our own except the way it is stuck on the same day, without using Bennet's blood.
So once more, I returned to the basics.
I already had the spell that created prison world in my Grimory, so I started dismantling it.
Now, dismantling spells isn't really hard, all you need to do is research every component of the spell until you have the basic elements that created it.
No, dismantling spells isn't hard, but it's incredibly time consuming, which is why witches usually don't do that.
After all, if a spell works why dismantle it? Why not learn it and then move to the next spell? Especially as they have other things to do.
But more importantly, most witches learn specific spells only in time of need, making the ones that actually create new ones in low numbers.
It took me 11 months of only studying it (not including my time with Hope) to dismantle the prison world spell.
It is probably the most unique spell created, making use of the Bennett blood and an Ascendant to stabilize the dimension and anchoring it to the real world while using the celestial event to supply the needed energy and to make sure it is strong enough to be unbreakable.
The fact that it repeats the same day is actually a side affect of using the celestial event as the world needs to be supplied daily from the event.
After dismantling the spell I understood I have no way to create the prison world at the moment, as I couldn't find any replacements to the Bennet blood for now, so I sadly shoved the subject to the back of my head for now.
The day finally came.
For the last few months Hope started joining Alaric in his journeys bringing supernatural children to the school, and today they brought one werewolf and one 'human' back- Raphael and Landon Kirby.
Which also meant that from now on, monsters, myths and gods are about to rejoin the supernatural community.
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck
