In the next week there was a much needed break from monsters attacks, something everyone was grateful for.
Hope spentthat time with her family, Rick with Jo, and if I'm not mistaken, then Damian with Emma.
Me? I spent the time organizing my mind while working on better using my new body.
Usually, vampires work on their strength, emotions and bloodlust.
Working to make sure they have enough control over their strength to not break staff accidentally, on their emotions as they are enhanced by a lot, and their bloodlust, as its hard to not want to feel the euphoria that blood gives when drank.
Once they have enough control over it, they start to push for their extreme- how strong are they? How fast? Compulsion, dream visiting...
By the time they find those limits they think they mastered everything, but they didn't.
Their control over their power, speed and compulsion rests on switching from 0 to 100.
I wanted to see if I can reach for higher control.
I started from the most familiar one from my werewolf gene- strength.
Becoming a tribrid made my strange reach a new high, but for years I used my exercise time to work on controlling the strength.
In werewolf abilities it was only possible through my control over my energy, as when enough energy was pushed to the genes it triggered the transformation, and what I needed is to push just enough to strengthen me without showing anything.
Which was why when testing my vampiric abilities I made sure to feel for the sun energy behavior, it was also used to strengthen me, only it worked by strengthening my blood which became its own energy source and was proceeded on to the entire organs instead of the cells like a werewolf.
Those two ways of strengthening were so different yet didn't clash at all which was why it made sense they managed to create a combination of both in hybrids.
After figuring it out, I was about to start working on my speed, which used the same concept only needed a much finer control, but the next monster arrived.
"I understand you need some alone time with Jo and that it's the middle of the night, but couldn't you wear some pants?" I asked jokingly as Rick who was wearing a robe, Hope who came back to school last night on her mother's insistence, Damian, who looked determined to finish the monster quickly and me went to where the barrier spell was last night.
"I'm sorry not all of us have superpowers..." he said back with a smile. Since Jo came back to life Rick started to look much happier.
"What do you think this time's monster will be?" Hope asked.
"I'm hoping Cthulhu." Damian said jokingly before saying "false alarm guys, it's just a horse."
"It must have escaped the stables and wondered across the barrier spell." Rick said
"Except me don't have a white horse." Hope said and just at that moment the horse turned his head enough to show us its horn, making both Rick and Damian raise their weapons.
"Wait!" Hope said, jumping in front of them. "You are not seriously saying we will kill a unicorn?"
"Hope, it's a monster! It wants the urn!" Rick said said
"You're suggesting we give it a pass because it's cute?" Damian asked.
"Can't we just leave it alone? It's in the barrier spell, it's not going anywhere." She said
"I would have to run some tests on it." I said helplessly, unable to really say no to her in most unimportant things.
"Well, as long as we keep it alive other creatures won't be coming for the urn. So we let Tony test the unicorn and as long as it's harmless we let it be." Rick said.
"If that so I will be alert back in bed." Damian said. Making the three of them leave the stables for now.
'So is the unicorn evil?' I thought as I looked at it before taking my Grimory out and casted the scanning spell only to be shocked noticing its a regular horse with the exception of its horn that seem to be alive.
'What on earth is this thing?" I thought
It took half a day for Damian to join me again next to the unicorn, in which I only managed to uncover a little.
"Have you found anything?" He asked
"Very little, I found the The horse is a regular one with no magic powers, the horn, on the other hand, seen to be a Parasite of a kind."
"A parasite?"
"It seemed to be embodied into his front brain, where all the inhibitions are and make its danger sensing abilities poor, which makes us feel like it's very pure."
"Yes, that's cool and all, but is it a danger to us?" He asked.
"Not unless it can move out of the barrier or if the parasite can multiply."
Suddenly, at the corner of my eyes I could see a worm of sorts trailing over Damian's pants.
With super speed I catch it quickly and put it inside a glass cup.
"Is that?!"
"You think it's the only one?" I asked, making my voice hopeful.
"Tony, mr Williams, we need your help!" Hope said as she ran toward us with Landon after her. "Dr Saltsman is MIA and a weird
"So how do we find all the students who had been infected and disinfect them?" Damian asked
"We can wait till the horn start to grow." Landon said jokingly.
"Or, we can just zap the entire student body." I said.
"The entire student body?!" Damian said "we can't do that!"
"What other choice do we have?" I asked
Damian sighed "We need to ask Rick."
"A locator spell should do the trick." I said "London, Hope, you should make sure all students who are infected stay at the talent show while me and Damian find Rick." I said and with a nod both of the students left.
"Okay Damian, I will use my vampiric speed to do the spell extremely quickly and find Rick, try in the meanwhile to find your girlfriend."
"You know?!" He asked surprised
"You went on one of your secret dates near where I train in secret."
"You know, sometimes it's not fair how overpowered you are." He told me
"Yet the one who will end up in eternal darkness and forgotten won't be you." I said grimly
"We will find another way." Damian said
"Between all the monsters attacks?" I said sighing "I doubt it." I speed casted, finding the approximated location and ran toward it.
"Rick! Jo!" I yelled outside the cabin, knocking on the door.
"It's better be important Tony!" Rick opened the door in a robe "We are in the middle of something!"
I then quickly explained everything I could about the parasites.
"Yes, that's important." He said "Give us 5 minutes to get dressed."
"Sure."
Everything went according to plan.
The entire student body was at the talent show, a quick spell was done, and the bugs were smashed by the awakened students.
Hope had to go after Josie and Penelope as they already went after the urn, but no one managed to get it.
In the end a new talent show happened, and I decided to sing.

Most of the audience seemed to not get it as more then just a love song, but I could see Rick, Jo, Damian, Emma, Hayley and Elijah looking a little red eyed.

The song was energetic enough for the audience to enjoy it even with the constant reminding of danger from monsters.
Getting down from the stage, I see Hope next to me.
"I didn't know you were so good." She said smiling
"Nah, I used a spell to make sure my voice was pleasant and I'm not out of tune." I said smiling
"Only you can make spells only for enjoyment." She said laughing "So, who is She?" She asked, talking about the first song.
"Not telling." I said "figure it on your own."
"Come on!"
"No." I said smiling, it's been a while since it was just the two of us.
"Well, that was fun but I'm gonna see Landon." She said and my smile dropped.
"Oh, well tell Landon I need to see him soon, I want to run tests to figure out what he is."
