MC's POV
Siphoning the hallow was probably the most satisfying thing I've ever done.
The thing is, my entire life, with the exception of moon and sun energies, all the types of magical energy I sucked were dark energies.
Dark energies are addictive, there is no doubt about it, but it's also a bit like smoking cigarette, you enjoy it, but it makes it hard for you to breath.
It was why the hallow's energy was so satisfying.
The energy was in the balance between dark and light, capable of creating curses like werewolves and suck energy out of living things, but also can make things grow and manipulate DNA.
It was the perfect thing for me.
It probably helped that I needed exactly it.
It was the perfect balance to Malivore in me.
It made me understand that before I was not the perfect siphoner as I thought myself to be, as this world has a rule of three.
Vampire, werewolf, witch- perfect tribrid.
Siphoner, Malivore, hallow- perfect siphoner.
Devouring the hallow bits by bits from the claw tattoo as well as using the ability I acquired from it to drink the life energy out of the energy of Malivore from the lake sea tattoo, it took two weeks till I finally gained the abilities I needed from each of them.
Hallow- changing DNA by will and swallowing energy from a distance instead of touching.
Malivore- devouring people and creatures and making them a part of my own.
Having that, I looked into each of my tattoos and the essence of the monsters in them and started studying them.
It will take a while, but I'm sure I can integrate them all into me without becoming a monster.
Hope's POV
The school started a month ago but I still couldn't get used to the changes.
Rick isn't the headmaster anymore, as he was kicked out.
I live at home with mom and dad.
Tony isn't here.
It was weird, how another teacher took over his battle magic class and teach it in a different way.
How alchemy class was only remembered by those who were in it as Tony forced us to do exercises without him, which I now know it was part of his plan to make sure his lessons stuck.
I had memories of him, so I wasn't confused, and those who got letters from him knew why they can't remember the class but remember what they learned in it, but whether it's Raphael, Wade or Alissa Chang, they were needed to be told about it.
Which I did, and they took it without problem, just like everyone else, not caring Tony is gone.
I couldn't do the same.
The hallways seem darker, the library emptier, the world less colorful.
And nobody seem to get it, not really.
It took two weeks of him being sweet like a children's medicine, staying close to me constantly, telling me he loves me and writing me songs before I told him I needed a break.
It was like everything he did was reminding me of Tony, his songs reminded me of Tony singing to the school 'My Grand Plan', him telling me he loved me reminded me of Tony saying that before jumping into Malivore, and him being constantly near me, always wanting my attention, reminded me of how I only gave Tony a bit and it was enough for him.
Of course, telling Landon I need a break only seem to motivate him to try harder, giving me flowers, begging for me to take him back, and storming off when it doesn't work only to return with another thing.
It was a week and a half into the school year when another monster appeared, though, before I could even do something, my family killed the Cyclops.
And today, with it being the annual football game, we once more excepted the entire mystic falls town for the game while I joined my family in a hunt for a Shunka Warakin.
With my parents in their wolf form, my uncle ready for an attack, and me ready to use magic to defend them and attack as well, non of us were expecting that just as we saw the shunka warakin appear, a wolf would appear from the side, jumping on him and, with a swift bite, rip his throat out before seemingly sucking him into a black goo that appeared out of nowhere, a black goo that looked like Malivore.
"It's Malivore!" I shouted, alerting my family, but before we could do anything, the black goo disappeared and the wolf transformed into a man.
His heir was black and his skin tan, his back had a tattoo of a wings on fire and a heart that seem to fade a bit above them, his right arm had a sleeve tattoo of some kind with a bull's head in the middle, his left arm had some musical notes that seem to fade a bit and on his neck there was a collar like tattoo on his neck that started to fade as well.
"Would the ladies mind turning around, I'm kinda naked." His voice seem to carry a magical power in it, as I almost didn't recognize it.
"Tony?!" I yelled, and before my parents could stop me I ran toward him, disregarding the fact that he's naked and me perceiving him as a threat before.
Before I could hug him I was stopped by a magical barrier, which, after a second, was disordered from the waist down, as to prevent sight, after which he turned around.
"What about me being naked don't you understand?" He said with mirth in his voice but I remembered my previous mistakes of listening to his voice and not his eyes.
Tony's eyes were the most expressive thing about him, and I knew I would be able to discern his emotions from them.
Looking at his eyes, for the first time in my life I couldn't see any emotion in them.
"Tony?" My voice shook and I took a step back. "What happened to you?" Remembering the black goo that appeared, I exclaimed. "You are Malivore! You possess Tony!" I accused.
"Hahahahaha." Laughter escaped Tony's month. "Both you and your father, the most scandalous accusations." He laughed a bit more as my family also came closer. "Malivore possessing me, that's a good one, almost as good as the original hybrid asking if I'm his grandson." He wiped his tears. "No, Malivore is not possessing me."
"Don't lie to me! We saw the goo!" I became pissed.
"Yeah, I know, gross right? Once I finish sucking the energy it will disappear."
"If you are Tony, what happened to you?" I needed answers, why is his eyes so cold and unfeeling? "Why are you so emotionless?"
His eyebrows rose, like it usually does when I impress him. "You noticed that? I guess my previous impression of you was wrong, hah? we were friends." It was like someone stroke me twice, once for saying he didn't thought of us as friends and the other for saying the word 'were'.
"What do you mean by were?" I asked, ignoring the first part because it was the same words that he said to me before jumping into Malivore.
"You have your family back and thus don't need me anymore, I fulfilled my promise, I let you go." He didn't looked pained saying all of that at all.
"But I do need you! I need my best friend! I-I..." I wanted to say that I love him, just to make him show any emotion, but I couldn't, I didn't know my feelings toward him right now, and saying those words like that would break the already cracked friendship of ours.
"I'm sorry." He said. "I'm not the same person I used to be." What happened to Tony in Malivore? "Don't worry though, I will stay around until I find Malivore's new pit again."
"And what then? Jump again?" I asked with venom. "I'm not giving up on you Tony!" I looked at him up and down, and noticed more tattoos on his body.
Faded sea on near his bellybutton, claws on his chest, a knight and a woman standing near a sword whose body is stuck in stone, and the sleeve on his hands seem to gain another head of a monster in it.
One that I recognized from just a few minutes ago.
shunka warakin.
"Tony! What are those tattoos?" My family seem to notice them as well suddenly, as they took a sharp breath.
"I should have known using my curse to hide them was useless against you," for a second His eyes were filled with affection before it disappeared again "but you could probably guess."
"Monsters you devoured like Malivore."
"Bingo! I found a loophole to the whole death thing even before I jumped into Malivore, though it only had 30% chance of working, so I haven't said anything. It worked, but not entirely, as Malivore is still alive, for now."
"And that's why you say you are different? Because you changed your species again?" I asked, as if I care what he is instead of who he is.
"No," he shook his head "but I won't tell you the reason why, you can think of it as a challenge from your ex-teacher, bring everyone's memories of me back, and MG and Caleb would be able to tell you about what a little witch no one should trust did to me."
I remembered the words from the letter.
"Lizzie? Lizzie Saltsman did it to you?" It started before Malivore?
"Well, maybe 90% of it." He smiled at that. "Till our next meeting." He said, bowing a bit and disappearing in a smoke.
"I need to call aunt Freya!" I told my family, who looked as disturbed as I felt.
MC's POV
Sucking a monster into me costs me magic.
Inside Malivore there was always more to suck so I never felt like it's much, but now that I did it outside, I could feel it costs me black magic.
The emotions that seem suppressed by the magic seem to resurface for a bit, making me more talkative with Hope than I wanted to be, but after a few minutes, as my power returned in the form of more black magic, I could feel them disappear again.
It bothered me that black magic has any effect on me, 'I'm free' is my motto, but I wasn't truly, was I? It was why, I decided that the moment I finish with Malivore I will begin a cleansing until I reach the same point of the hallow, the line between dark and light.
The teleportation made me reach to the cave where I hid the dragon corpse, where I once again used Malivore's devouring to make it be sucked into me as part of the maze tattoo and decided to rest for the night before doing the first hallowing change to my body.
It's time to transform the wolf.
getting the hallow, as I said before, opened my DNA modification ability to a whole new level.
It also made me understand why this world is about vampires, werewolves and witches.
Each of them capture the essence of a part of the world's magic.
Vampires capture the essence of physical enhancement - power, speed, senses, immortality, while also the essence of mental enhancement- compulsion and heightened emotions.
Witches capture the essence of physical manipulation- manipulating the elements and all in all the rules of nature, while also the essence of mental manipulation- dream walking, seeing the future, reading minds...
Werewolves capture the essence of physical transformation- becoming a wolf while also the essence of mental transformation- wolf instincts, pack bonds..."
The three of them were also entirely on their subject, as they don't have the combination of two of them like most supernatural beings- dragons can breath fire, fairies can grow wings...
It's why hybrids and tribrids are possible.
And me, as a tribrid who change his DNA, am going to take it to the top.
The werewolf curse, after destroying the Consciousness of the hollow and reading her memories, became easy to unravel, and what I'm about to do is take it to the next level.
By using the curse to set my human form as my base, the shunka warakin, which was created to destroy werewolves, as a guide to the exact stand of DNA that decide my transformation as a wolf, and dragon's transformation ability as the stand in its place, it only took me 20% of Malivore's essence that was left in me to become something new.
I'm still a tribrid, just not a werewolf one.
I'm a Vampire/witch/shapeshifter tribrid.
The other two sides of me are harder to change, not to mention costs more, as the rest of the Malivore essence went to change the other two.
My vampiric side got the knight and minotaur's strength, immortality of the Phoenix, the sprite voice and charm and lust god's eyes of orgasmic bliss while my magic received the water manipulation of the lady of the lake, earth manipulation and eyes of the future from the sphinx, fire of the Phoenix, the space of the Maze and core of the hallow.
My tattoos faded away as my body's base form transformed into a form of that could make my sides reach balance.
My eyes had three abilities now, with future seeing and seeing erotic zones in lovers adding to the spirit eyes I had from before, making a balance, and changing their color from brown into sparkling silver.
My core, became home to the hallow as the it grew, taking the sun power i was constantly sucking and the siphoner powers i had from my birth, Malivore and itself while using the Maze as the base to everything, and transform with my original core into a new universe, making me now a god in my own body.
And I finally knew my path.
The path of three.
Every part of my body has to contain three abilities for me to reach the end point of evolution.
I couldn't wait to see what I would be.
Hope's POV
It took for the next monster to arrive for me to see Tony again, though He once more looked different.
His tattoos disappeared and his eyes changed color to silver, yet the most different part about him was his body.
Tony was always handsome, but now it was like he was sculptured from stone, yet gave away an aura of sex on legs.
I barely even managed to call for him as he looked at Raphael, who was possessed by a Japanese demon, eyes glowing, and in one swoop grabbed his forehead and ripped the spirit out of Ralph, before it disappeared, this time without a black goo, but a demon like face appeared as a tattoo a seconds later in his arm.
He looked a bit tired, but I barely managed to call out to him before he ran in full Vampire speed away.
It was that night that I learned from Lizzie that Josie accidentally siphoned the cursed sword and Lizzie's memories of Tony returned from it, though she still has no idea what she has done.
Tony's POV
It swallowing the demon without having Malivore's energy is tiring, but I haven't found the portal yet, so I can't drain it.
With the demon belonging to the type of mind manipulation, and me not having another two, all I could do is wait for two more creatures with similar abilities while I started studying the magic I got from creatures.
The thing is, until now, I always considered magic as a science, every action has consequence, every rule is one of nature, everything requires energy, and it still is, but, having gained the abilities of mythological creatures, I found that magic is also an art.
It's like music, what I learned until Now is the equations that explain why a certain note creates a specific sound.
It's efficient, and by knowing it I can create a guitar of my own.
But while sounds may come out of it, to create a truly great piece, I need to feel the music.
Of course, most magic users only learn it as an art, thus making knowledge to be lost as once the instrument is destroy they can't create a new one.
While I started learning magic as art, once I created alchemy I abandoned this way.
But now I understand again.
Fire isn't just a combination of energies, it is also a concept, of both destruction and creation.
Water isn't just molecules, it is also the carrier of life, and the bringer of death.
Every magical prospect has a scientific and artistic side, and to truly be able to control it, I need to know both of them.
Most witches would spend their entire life only learning spells, going through a short-cut in their understanding of magic and will at most repeat deeds that have been done before.
Some understood the artistic side and accomplished great things like the hallow that created the werewolves or true immortal.
A small few will look at the scientists side and create ways to bring the dead back to life like the Necromancer or create alchemy like me, but I, with the help of the hallow's knowledge that I took by force, have now the last step towards the next stage, combine the two sides, and with the knowledge I gain from the creatures everything I devour them, I gain the artistic value of their concepts.
Now I just need to slowly integrate the both ways to create a new, unexplored path of magic, one that science and art have equal parts in
Hope's POV
It was the day of the dance 80s dance when aunty Freya finally found the right translation for the spell Josie accidentally casted on Lizzie and returned Lizzie's memories with.
The only problem? It was black magic and my family wasn't willing to teach it to me.
"So how am I supposed to make everyone's memories of Tony return?!" I asked desperately
"We will find a way, but we aren't risking your sanity Princess." My father told me
"Yes, we aren't risking your sanity Princess." A voice appeared from behind, making me jump.
"Tony! What are you doing here?" I asked my best friend who was smirking, even as my family were standing in a fighting pose.
"Oh, calm down, if I wanted to fight I would never do the whole monologue, I would have put you to sleep from afar, or, you know, stole your bracelets and drained you of magic." He waved them off. "I mean, I created their defenses, I know how to deactivate them." The not so hidden threat seem to make them even more nervous. "Anyway, I came for our deal. Give me the spell." He said "And I will make sure everyone remembers it, than, you can get your answers from MG and Caleb."
"And what do you gain from this?" Dad asked, eyes getting narrow.
"Well, for one, your family will remember me and you would stop treating me like an enemy." He rolled his eyes. "And for another, I'm kinda bored, I just finished creating something I need volunteers to experiment on, and having willing ones is so much easier than holding in captive unwilling ones."
"What sort of experiment?" Elijah asked.
"Removing a curse from a person." Tony said with excitement in his eyes that looked like his past self.
"Really?" I asked, trying to draw that personality out. "What sort of curse?"
"Oh, well it's a DNA based curse, I started trying to create it after gaining the idea from the dragon, but hit a wall before jumping into Malivore, only managing to finish it now thanks to knowledge I've come to possess," he seem to rumble as his eyes lightened up. "Of course, my beginner's ability in seeing the future served as the work instead of having to find a lab and sneak into it every time I wanted to try it, but I reached a point in which I need to experiment the results, but being able to give an option other than death to werewolf criminals, and those who want normal life, I will be remembered forever!"
Our jaws fell. "You created a werewolf cure?" Mom asked
"Sure, you can call it like that." He rolled his eyes, and I could see his eyes starting to lose the emotion in them. "Either way, I need the spell."
My father took his phone and called Freya, only to give it to him.
My aunt told him the spell and he closed the phone.
"Well, that is an interesting spell. The way it interact with Malivore's enchantment of memories, if I can..." he started to mutter to himself.
"Well, I'll be going." He finally said.
"What?" I said "why don't do the spell here?"
"Don't worry, I have someone in mind to cast the spell." He than teleported out of the house.
Tony, what's your end game?
Josie's POV
Having someone appear out of no where in your room is scary, but when he is so good looking... well, you can't really complain.
"Who are you?" I asked, biting my lip uncontrollably.
"Oh, stop looking at me like that." He said with a smirk. "It will be the greatest night of your life, but you will regret it."
His voice sent shivers in me uncontrollable.
"Oh, believe me, I won't regret a thing." I stepped closer to the man, a bit surprised at my straight forwardness, but dismissing it.
"Well, if you really mean it, would you mind cast this spell? If after casting it you still want to, I will not resist."
Hearing him talk about a spell snapped me out of the lustful situation I was in.
"Who are you? What did you do to me?" I asked, understanding my emotions are being manipulated by something.
"So I was right." He smiled. "You use the sand-clock to fend off the darkness of the black magic, didn't you listen to the lessons?" He shook his head. "I mean, I had years of training in the arts but I'm still drowning in it right now, you, who will go from 0 to 100? Well, you are on a time limit."
"What the hell do you mean by that? No, you still didn't answer my previous questions." I said, starting to siphon energy from the floor as I got ready to cast a spell.
"Oh, I'm your cousin." He said, making me halt the siphoning.
"You are Tony? The one that sent me that letter? The one who jumped into Malivore?" My stomach started hurting as I thought about how just a few moments ago I wanted to sleep with him.
"I said you will regret it... though we don't really have much blood between us, with me being from the side family and you the main one, nor is there any chance for us to have babies... so I guess less disgusting than I thought." He thought out loud.
"Why..." it took me a second to organize my words. "Why did you make me attracted to you?"
"Me?" He laughed. "No, while my abilities may have directed the reaction to a... stronger result for the moment, it's your magic, or more correctly your black magic, that did all of that."
It was obvious he knew I used black magic and didn't care for it, which was why I had no need to try and deny it.
"What do you mean by that?" I asked.
"Sorry, out of teacher duty." He said with a smile that didn't reach his eyes. "For now, I need someone to release Malivore's influence on everyone's memory about me, and I can't be the one that cast it... so, how about a deal? You cast the charm and I will give you answers to three questions, no matter what they are." His handsome face came an inch from my face and I had to smother the instinct to kiss him.
"Fine." I said. "But I want my information first."
"No can do," he shook his head. "You forget I know you, and more importantly, I know how your family has the tendency to back up from deals, one question before the ritual."
"Two." I shot back.
"One and a half, and the half will be about the way to stop the merge."
"Deal." I immediately said, unable to stop myself. "What happened to me?"
"Black magic addiction, while most of the black magic in your body has been locked by the clock, the little bit that's left in You is the essence, and it makes your body want more black magic, which I'm full of, making your body desire me." His smile grew into one that made me take a step forward with need for a second as I fought my instincts once more.
"How do I stop it?" I asked but he shooked his head.
"That will be your second question, are you sure you want this one?"
I pushed for a second before nodding, I will use the third question for the merge.
"Well, with your use of the sand clock in the way, I would say you destroyed the easy way of cleansing yourself, but instead you can embrace the darkness, understand it's part of you and also an addiction. Or..." he smile changed into a predatorily one. "It's your part's turn."
I could feel the black magic in me lose control for a second in rage about the way he stopped mid sentence, but it once more changed my emotions into lust as I jumped and kissed him, a gesture which he returned for a second in the same wild manner only to push me away
"We can't do that, I won't let the black magic control my actions!" He glared as I made him lose control, and as mine started to return to me, my face turned red.
"Give me the spell." I said, which he did.
Looking at the spell, I could tell it is black magic.
Reading the words as I visualize the effects, it was like a dam breaking in my mind as I remembered everything about Tony.
As a teacher, as a cousin, and most importantly, I remembered the entire life of ignoring him while he was under the effects of his curse, in the library, kitchen and hallways.
I also remembered that even though he can be considered a cousin, my great grandmother, and his grandfather were a third-step cousins, making us 6-7 step cousins, and not really family, which was kind of important as I just kissed him and my mind, which after the current casting was even deeper into black magic and already starts to lust after the man in front of her more than I previously did.
"Did it work?" He asked, breaking the kiss.
"Oh teach, if it didn't, do you think you can give me some extracurricular lessons?" I said suggestively before, once again, kissing him, this time with much more passion than before, and starting to rip his shirt off.
"Stop!" He said with a growl. "You are letting the dark magic control your emotions again."
"Why do you care?" I asked with a growl of my own. "I can do whatever I want!" I was starting to get angry. "Is it hope?" I asked mockingly. "Are you still in love with her?"
He sneered. "Bitch please, I care because it's your first time, and you don't want to do it affected by black magic, it will ruin the experience, especially with my improvements." His eyes flashed a bit
His words sobered me up. "Shit, you are right." And suddenly, with my mind cleared, I could see something in Tony's eyes wasn't right, while they seem full of desire, they also seem empty of emotions. "Are you alright?" I asked. "What happened to you in Malivore?"
"Is that your third question?" He asked, using magic to fix his shirt. "Because I didn't answer to your second yet."
"Does everything have to be part of the deal?" I frowned. "We are friends, doesn't it count for something?"
"Are we?" He asked. "I am pretty sure my friends were MG, Caleb and Hope, you? A cousin who I taught magic, sure, someone I used to care about, maybe, but friends? Have you ever approached me for any reason other than ask for favors?"
I lowered my head in shame. "No..."
"Exactly. Now, the other way for you to be free of dark magic is by me siphoning it entirely, but I wouldn't recommend it, because with the amount of dark magic you have stored it can lead to unexpected consequences."
"What kind?" I asked
"If I knew it wouldn't be unexpected, would it?"
"Fair enough." I said, deciding to think later about what choice do I want to make, though I was leaning toward the third aas at least it would have me get rid of the black magic entirely. "What about the merge? How do I stop it?"
He smirked. "You turn into a vampire, obviously."
It was like someone slapped me, of course changing into a vampire is the answer, I would still be able to cast magic, but as I would be dead the merge wouldn't happen. "Wait!" I said, thinking about something. "Why do I have to turn into a vampire? Lizzie could as well."
His face turned into one of disgust. "Sure She can, but I would kill her immediately, I can barely control my murderous intentions toward her right now, with the knowledge that one day she would be dead." He spat.
I couldn't help but take a step back at his hatred toward my sister, something he noticed, as he said "Anyways, good luck with everything, I have some friends to reconnect with."
And with that, he was gone.
I couldn't help but bit my lip, that man, for all his crazy like qualities, was hot.
Harley's POV
I was waiting downstairs with Klaus and Elijah when the world changed.
It felt like a wave hitting mebefore memories I didn't know I was missing returned.
Memories of a man I've seen less than an hour ago, memories of a boy doing everything he can to save my daughter, memories of Tony bringing us back to life for the sole reason of being there for Hope when he isn't there.
Elijah apparently got his memories too, because he whispered "Tony"
"You called?" We both jumped as Tony appeared behind us.
Seeing him the way he was now, and actually being able to remember how he looked likebefore, I could for the first time actually tell he has changed.
"Hey Tony..." I said gently as if talking to a dangerous animal, and considering he is atribrid that was consumed by black magic, I think of him as such. "We got our memories back, the spell worked."
"Great." He smiled in a way that reminded me of Klaus when he had an evil plan. "Now, where is Hope?"
Klaus immediately ran at him and held Tony by the throat. "I don't care what are your plans, but keep my daughter out of them!"
Tony didn't even seemed bothered, putting his left hand up, he easily pealed Klaus's hand off his neck.
"I have no plan for Hope, quite the opposite, in fact, I want you four to leave town before things get ugly, maybe return to New Orleans? Or maybe travel the world?"
"Are you threatening us?" Elijah asked.
"Oh, gods no!" Tony shook his head. "I just don't want Hope to be here while Malivore tries to kill her, nor do I want her to sacrifice herself in misguided attempt to take down something that can only be destroyed by either me and her."
It was the same thing as last time, he was once again saying he would kill Malivore instead of Hope, but this time I couldn't feel the love he had towards Hope.
"Why would you sacrifice yourself for Hope?" I asked. "I can tell you don't love her anymore."
"Sacrifice?" He asked, before bursting in laughter. "Last time I sacrificed enough of myself, I don't need to die to defeat Malivore anymore."
"Than why do you care to stop Malivore? Why ask to send Hope away?" Nick asked, though the glint in his eyes told me he had an idea.
"Because his defeat would be gruesome, and it will involve a different sacrifice, one that Hope would try to prevent, and if she gets in my way you all get in my way, and then I'm fighting the original family on top of Malivore and I don't want that."
"What sacrifice?" Nick demanded to know.
Tony sighed and rubbed his forehead "Hope's boyfriend, Landon."
Hope's POV
Hearing Tony telling everyone in my family that the sacrifice is Landon almost made me move out of my hiding spot.
Tony was going to sacrifice Landon? I have to warn him!
But what if that's the only way to defeat Malivore for real, what would happen if Tony doesn't use Landon as a sacrifice?
Even half an hour of sitting in my spot thinking about what to do, even after Tony left, I couldn't come up with an answer except for one.
Before doing anything else I'm going to make sure Tony is cleansed of black magic, so at least he would have a clear mind when he decides to kill someone.
Yes, Tony is about to get cleansed.
MG's POV
I felt something got me when suddenly all my memories returned.
Tony!
Looking at Caleb, I could see his memories returned as well, and with a nod to each other we both went to find the rest of the super squad.
It took 10 minutes for all of us to gather with the exception of Hope.
It was Lizzie, me, Caleb, Raphael, Landon, Josie and Nia.
After which Josie told us about Tony coming to her room and had her cast the spell to return everyone's memories of him, telling us he gave her in return a solution for their merging problem and how he was pumped with black magic.
"So we all have our memories of Tony back and he is evil now." Lizzie said rolling her eyes "was that truly important enough to take me away from the preparations to the 80s party?"
Since I started dating Nia I could finally start seeing Lizzie for who she really is, a selfish person, but still, that was a bitchy thing to say.
"You don't have to be here, you know?" I said with a bit more bite than I intended to, Tony's tale of how her wishes tore apart his psychic returning to my memories seem to fuel my anger.
"Of course I have to." She rolled her eyes at me. "Not only am I a part of the super squad, but apparently he wants to kiil me."
"Well, maybe you deserve it!" Caleb seemed to be angry as well. "After all, everything that happened to Tony is both yours and Hope's fault!"
"Guys, calm down." Raphael said.
"Yes, it's nobody's fault Tony is in this situation, not Lizzie, and certainly not Hope's." Landon said, defending his ex-girlfriend.
"Oh, please." Caleb rolled his eyes. "Everyone knew he was in love with her, he practically sang it to the whole school! She made him promise that he would always help her and see what he did! Resurrected her parants and uncle, changed into a tribrid, even jumped into Malivore! If she would have just left him alone, he wouldn't have jumped!"
"Yes, that's Hope's fault!" Lizzie said "It has nothing to do with me!"
"Oh no, it has everything to do with you!" I screamed, pointing a finger at her. "You might have forgotten, but a few months ago, one of the monsters was a wish granting Djine, and with each of the wishes you asked for, you gave Tony a new personality, all of which stayed in his psych after the monster was defeated. If Tony went evil, it is because those personalities took over!"
"What the hell MG? You are not seriously blaming me for something I don't remember, right? Because that would be totally nuts!"
"Even if you don't remember doesn't mean you didn't do it!" Caleb yelled and was about to continue when clapping was heard from the side.
It was Tony.
"Well, I would be damned, never thought I would see the day when MG screams at Lizzie fucking Saltsman, I guess you listened to my letter."
His face was smiling but his eyes, which were staring at Lizzie were cold.
"Hey Tony, how are you man?" I asked with worry slipping to my voice.
"Can't complain really." He said, his eyes worming up a bit as he turned to look at me. "I mean, I didn't manage to kill Malivore entirely, but that's something that will soon be dealt with, and other than that not much happened, oh, with the exception of me getting over my emotions to Hope."
"That's great brother." Caleb said, going towards Tony and hugging him. "Does that mean you are coming back to school? I miss our 'Don't be a Nazi' classes, and MG could use a bit more 'How to not be a stupid vampire for the rest of your immortal life 101'" Tony's smile became a bit more real and his eyes a bit more worm before blackness seemed to fill them and his smile returned to the cold one from before.
"Not at the moment." He said. "I actually came here for Raphael."
"Me?" Raphael asked in surprise.
"Yes you." He rolled his eyes. "I want to give you an offer, would you like to not be a werewolf anymore?"
"What?!" We were all shocked, though Caleb and I for a different reason. "You did it?!" I asked "what am I asking, of course you did, you brilliant genius!"
"Did what?" Josie asked.
"I created a cure to the werewolf curse." Tony said in a bored tone. "That was the reason I started alchemy since the beginning."
"What's the catch?" Raphael asked.
"What do you mean?" I asked him
"Nothing is ever free for no reason, there is always a catch." Landon was the one that actually answered me.
"Oh, how true." Tony said, chuckling. "Anything in life has a price, especially with magic, and the cure is no different." I couldn't help but be unnerved with Tony, he seemed to have lost it and I couldn't help but remember his request to kill him if he ever submit to his dark side "It will cost you your magical heritage."
"What does it mean exactly?" Josie asked.
"Everyone in this world has some sort of magical heritage, whether they are descendants of magical creatures or witches, there are moon in the entire world without it, him losing his magical heritage will make him the first full human in the world, he would never be able to become a vampire, be resurrected or anything like that, nor would his death could be used in a ritual or his life saved by healing spells as those use the inner magic of a person."
"That's it?" Raphael asked. "Giving up magic entirely to become entirely human?"
"What do you mean that's it?" Landon asked. "You would lose all the wonders of the world we both belong in! Where we are special!"
"I never wanted any of that!" Raphael roared "You were the one that always wanted to be special, not me! And being a werewolf? It sucks! You got immortality and fire powers, I get to have my bones break twice a month." He than looked at Tony. "What will happen with me afterwards? I mean, I wouldn't be able to stay in this school as human, would I?"
"Not as a human, I don't think so, but I'm sure Alaric would be willing to give you a spot in Mystic Falls high, and I guess I am willing to give you one grand a month till you finish high school in addition for a living space."
This conversation gave me hope, it seemed like Tony was fighting the black magic as he kept changing his tone from cold and detached to caring.
"I agree." Raph said.
"Great! I'll see you in five days than." Tony said before vanishing, leaving us in an awkward silence, before Landon ran away in anger, Raphael running after him.
