The Leaf village had rebuilt itself after the attack from the Kyubi no kitsune, of course there were countless casualties. Of course, due to the Kyubi upping and disappearing the people's hatred had to focus on something or someone that would be the next best thing. The Kyubi's Jinchuriki, Namikaze Naruto.
Hiruzen looked out over the village from his office window, before he turned to his special chakra orb which gives him the ability to observe anyone. Currently Hiruzen was looking into the orb looking at the Kyubi Jinchuriki, the child that he had forsaken, and broke his promise to Kushina.
Hiruzen hadn't had given the time that he promised to Kushina that he was supposed to give Naruto. Naruto had ended up living in the orphanage until he was around 5 to 6 years old. Living in the orphanage for Naruto was horrible as the caretakers treated him awfully, they barely fed him and never let him out of his room. Eventually they decided to kick him out, and in result Hiruzen had found him and had to give him an apartment.
The other elders told him to give Naruto an apartment in the red light district, to not show any favorites. He ignored them as Naruto was still an important piece of Konoha. He had given Naruto an high end apartment. Though after truly meeting Naruto for the first time, he had realized that he was nothing what he expected him to be. He assumed from the similar appearance to his mother, that he end up like her as well. But it was the opposite. Naruto was a truly quiet and kind child, he never spoke up and only talked when he felt he thought it was appropriate or needed. Due to his upbringing, Naruto seems to understand things that other kids his age wouldn't be able to.
Hiruzen had wished that he had gotten into Naruto's life earlier, to be able to become a close person to Naruto. Though it seemed he was too late, as all Naruto did was thank him for the apartment, and whenever Hiruzen did have to time to possibly try and deepen Naruto's connection to the leaf, by going to get food, he would refuse. He refused saying that they would poison him, so he learned to make food himself.
Hiruzen had thought of a plan when he first thought of the son of Kushina and Minato being the Jinchuriki of the Kyubi. He thought it would have been a good idea to get him strongly associated with the will of fire, and attempt to give him the goal and dream to become Hokage. Though it seems that Naruto had no interest in such things, he only wished to become a strong shinobi to help survive and help others who might have need saving like himself.
Hiruzen took in the appearance of Naruto. Naruto was the normal height of someone his age. He had fair skin complexion, as well as spiky dark red hair which framed his angular face. He had sharp piercing eyes which were purple, like his mother's. He was wearing black and grey t-shirt. He was wearing dark brown pants which ended at his shins and had his ankles and shins taped with white tape, he was wearing blue sandals.
Hiruzen realized that Naruto had his mother's color when it came to skin, hair, and eyes. But his facial features and personality were almost an identical copy of Minato's.
It was cold morning, as the weather was during the fall. The fall, meaning the middle of the academy year of shinobi want to be. Naruto was currently walking to the academy with his hands in his pockets. Naruto entered the academy and reached the door and opened it up. Naruto had instantly recieved the stares that he was used to by all of the students. The parents of the students had told their children that Naruto was a bad person and that they should stay away from him and ignore him. Naruto was in the top 5 in scores in his class, with Uchiha Sasuke at the top.
At this point, with how long it has happened, Naruto was used to it. Naruto doesn't really care either, at this point there is nothing he could do to change their minds about it. Naruto then ignored the stares and went up to the back left bench of the classroom which was right next to the window. Naruto sat down and enjoyed his view from the window and cut off everything else from his hearing, and ignored the loud noises from the classroom.
Naruto didn't care what they had to say. "Hey! Naruto!" the voice of a boy, caught Naruto's attention. Naruto turned and observed the boy. The boy had short dark black hair which was curly/spiky. The boy's skin complexion was somewhat tan, and he had wide eyes which were coal colored. The biggest part of his get up was the high collared shirt, with the Uchiha Clan Crest on the back of it. It was surprising that someone this outgoing was an Uchiha, on top of the fact that he was somewhat on the lower end of the class when it came to scores. This is one of Naruto's two friends.
The Uchiha boy grinned down at the Namikaze boy who simply stared back. "Ugh, you don't have to be so loud, Kagami." The voice of a girl said to the side and bonked Kagami on the head. Naruto then turned and looked to the side of Kagami and observed the girl. The girl was of fair skin complexion, and had long dark brown hair, and blue eyes. This girl was already friends with Kagami before Kagami had befriended Naruto. So after Naruto and Kagami became friends, Kagami had introduced them to each other, and got them acquainted and became friends.
Naruto sighed, as Kagami grit his teeth and rubbed the bump on his head, which he received from the girl. "Ow! You didn't have to him me, Satsuki!" Kagami yelled at the girl, Satsuki. "Quiet!" the loud voice of a man came from the front of the classroom. Naruto looked and saw their sensei, Umino Iruka. Everyone became silent in fear of their sensei, and sat down. Iruka looked at them before smiling, "Actually, there is no need to sit down." he said.
The students all looked at him in confusion. "After all, today's lesson and exercise will be taking place in the meditation training room." Iruka said. All of the students looked at him in confusion, "Yes. Today we are going to be meditating and learning how to unlock your chakra!" Iruka exclaimed. The entire classroom erupted loudly in excitement. "Quiet down! Now, follow me." Iruka told them all, by the door.
Everyone in the classroom then followed their sensei Iruka throughout the hallways of the academy and entered into a wing of the building they had never been to before. Iruka then reached the door to the meditation room and opened it up and entered, prompting everyone to follow in. Naruto looked around and observed the room which was basically an empty room with tatami mats to sit on. Iruka then turned to all of them at the front of the room. "Today, we are going to be attempting to help you unlock your chakra." Iruka told them.
The class was getting giddy, and was bouncing up and down. "Now, in order to unlock your chakra, you must sit down and meditate and find inner peace and calm. Afterwards you must look inside of yourself and search and feel for the deep warm sensation in your navel area. Once you find it, you grab ahold of it, and pull. Afterwards, if successful, you will have unlocked your chakra. Now, begin!" Iruka ordered them all.
The classroom then became quiet as everyone spread out from each other, to give themselves enough personal space to focus on their chakra. Naruto had sat down and was searching for his chakra, like everyone else. Suddenly he had gained a weird sensation feeling. It felt like a spike of chakra was happening around him, and then he understood. He was able to feel everyone else's chakra somehow, not that he understood it. Naruto then ignored that feeling, and began to focus on himself, rather than the others.
Naruto then searched deep down within himself. He then saw what looked to be a massive ocean of blue energy in front of him, all of it was being held back by what looked like an invisible barrier. Naruto walked forward and reached his hand into the energy and saw the chakra merging with his hand. Naruto then placed both hands on the wall of chakra and began to pull hard. Eventually the invisible barrier started to stretch and eventually broke and released the massive amounts of chakra which made Naruto feel warm.
Iruka suddenly felt a big spike in chakra from Naruto. He then realized that Naruto's chakra while currently wasn't that much bigger than the other students, was much more dense of chakra. 'It must be a side effect from containing the Kyubi within himself.' Iruka assumed. Suddenly Iruka felt it then. It was a small sliver of killing intent, coming from Naruto. Iruka's eyes widened, 'Don't tell me! Is he unconsciously channeling the Kyubi's chakra!?' Iruka thought in shock. Iruka then moved swiftly, without letting the other students who were focusing on their chakra know.
Iruka walked over to Naruto and placed his hand on his shoulder. Naruto's face was contorting slight pain and discomfort. Iruka then channeled his own chakra into Naruto, similar to how one would do to release a genjutsu. Naruto then opened his eyes and looked around and thought someone had touched him, but he looked around and saw the other students in meditation and Iruka was still at the front of class. Naruto decided to pay it no mind.
Outside of the classroom, through the window outside in a tree as an ANBU with a blank mask. Suddenly the ANBU twitched, 'This is...I can feel the Kyubi Jinchuriki using his chakra to sense the others and read their chakra?! Don't tell me...It seems that he is a sensory type.' the ANBU thought before suddenly he felt the tiny piece of dark chakra coming from Naruto. 'What?! Kyubi's chakra?!' he thought before the chakra went away, from Iruka aiding him. The ANBU looked at Naruto with a close eye before standing up, 'I must report this to Danzo-sama.' the ANBU thought and flickered away.
Deep underground the Hidden Leaf Village was a highly secret facility. Deep underground in this facility is the headquarters for the secret unit of ANBU, known as the Foundation, or also known as ROOT. The Foundation is a secret piece of the Leaf's military strength. The Foundation takes children with high shinobi potential at a young age, to train them. They teach to become emotionless, and that the only thing that mattered was the mission. The Foundation was in charge of taking the missions that are dirty, and wrong in every way. Their leader is, Shimura Danzo.
Deep down in the facility was quiet, not a sound. Then there was a sound of wind, as their was a figure that flickered through the facility. They continued to flicker about until they reached in front of a door, and kneeled down outside of the door with no noise. "Come in." came the voice from inside. The ANBU then entered into the room and kneeled down once again, before looking up, face to face with Shimura Danzo. "What is it?" Danzo asked.
The ANBU then stood up, "I have something urgent to report on the Namikaze Kyubi child." the ANBU said. Danzo's eyes then lit up in recognition as he realized that this is the ANBU that he had assigned to watch and observe over Naruto at all times to make sure nothing happened to the jinchuriki. "What has happened?" Danzo asks.
The ANBU nodded, "Currently Namikaze's academy class is taking the lesson and exercise of meditating to unlock their chakra. Today, I had watched Namikaze unlock his chakra, which had been significantly higher amount of chakra and a lot more dense than the others." the ANBU said. Danzo stared at the ANBU with a stoic facade before his single eye conveyed irritation. "Is that all?! That's all?! You came to report in to me about something that is already well known in jinchuriki!" Danzo then exclaimed.
The ANBU didn't even flinch, "Of course not, Danzo-sama." he replied. Danzo then looked at him before nodding, prompting him to continue. "I was watching the entire thing with my chakra and sensing everything. After Namikaze had unlocked his chakra, he had then began to show signs, and began sensing the others chakra, with his own." the ANBU said. Danzo's eye widened slightly, 'Chakra sensing? It seems that he is a sensory type, just like Minato. Though that's to be expected as they are father and son. Just like how Minato showed similar abilities to his grandfather, Tobirama-Sensei.' Danzo thought to himself.
Danzo then looked back at the ANBU and realized he wasn't finished. "Continue." he said. The ANBU nodded, "Yes. Afterwards, Namikaze began to attempt to mold his chakra, to attempt to control it somewhat. But then in the process, he had then summoned a sliver of the Kyubi's chakra, at this young of an age." the ANBU said. Danzo's eye widened and he stood up swiftly, somewhat surprising the ANBU. 'WHAT?! He is already starting to be able to draw on even a tiny sliver of the Kyubi's chakra, right after he unlocked his own?!' Danzo thought in shock.
Danzo stood there in silence. Suddenly his face had gained a dark evil smirk, 'Hmph...I win, Hiruzen. With this, I am now able to plan out how to make you give Naruto to me, in the foundation.' Danzo thought eagerly. Danzo then turned back to the ANBU, "I need to know the closest relationships that Naruto has in the Academy. The people that he tends to spend time around, his friends." Danzo said. "I need you to kill one of his close relations, make sure that you do it with Naruto in the presence. Make sure to be transformed into a Kumo or Iwa shinobi, to make him develop a hatred for our enemies.
The ANBU nodded, "Yes, Danzo-sama. As I have been watching Namikaze for a long period of time, I know all of his relations. Though they are limited...Namikaze only has two close relationships between two friends. One of them is the younger brother of Uchiha Shisui, his name is Uchiha Kagami. And, the other friend of his is a simple civilian girl." the ANBU informed him. Danzo narrowed his eye at the information. 'I need to play this smart...I cannot kill the Uchiha kid...that would make Shisui unpredictable...It wouldn't matter eventually anyway, after all, the Uchiha are going to massacred soon.' Danzo thought.
Danzo looked down at the ANBU, "I order you to kill the civilian girl. We can't quite get rid of the Uchiha just yet..." Danzo ordered him. The ANBU nodded, before pausing and looking back up at his leader. "Danzo-sama. If I may ask a question regarding the mission?" he asked. "What is it?" Danzo questioned. "Is there any particular reason to kill the civilian girl in front of Namikaze?" the ANBU asked. Danzo smirked, "You're out of line...but...It's fine. The reason is because if Naruto sees someone he is close to him killed, he will awaken the Kyubi's chakra more. This will then give me an more appropriate reason to approach Hiruzen, regarding to let Naruto under my care into the foundation under the guise that I would help him control the Kyubi's chakra." Danzo said. The ANBU nodded and flickered away to complete his mission.
