Hiruzen was currently sitting down in a visitor's chair next to the bed of Naruto. They had brought him to the hospital, after they realized his condition. Hiruzen sighed as he saw the face of Naruto's which seemed to have almost look like the face of someone who was older. 'If only I had kept a better eye on him from the beginning.' Hiruzen thought. He then suddenly felt the change in the air, coming from the dark corner of the hospital room. "Report." Hiruzen said, making an ANBU with gravity defying gray hair reveal themselves from the shadows. "Hai, Hokage-sama." the male ANBU responded.
The ANBU kneeled down. "We have gotten the results after taking blood samples from the girl's corpse, and the blood traces from Naruto's hands." he said. Hiruzen nodded to the him, prompting him to continue. "It was revealed that, there was no blood contamination from the girl. Showing she was killed by a weapon. As for Naruto, we took samples of the blood on his hands, and they didn't match the girl's blood. We attempted to trace and search the archives for a person with the same blood, but there were no matches." the ANBU said, with his head bowed down.
Hiruzen hummed in contemplation. "I see. Well then, let me know when there is another report needed to be made." he said. The ANBU stood up and bowed, "Hai, Hokage-sama." he said, before he flickered away from the room. Hiruzen then turned back to Naruto with relief that Naruto wasn't the one who killed his friend. Though that didn't make this situation any better for the young Namikaze. Hiruzen then sighed, "Get better, Naruto." he said, before standing up and leaving the hospital room, to let him rest.
Naruto's eyes slowly open up, as he is then blinded from bright lights. The smell of a sterile environment, make him realize he was in the hospital. Naruto tried to move but groaned in pain. "Ah! You're awake, Naruto." A familiar voice called out from the side of his bed called out. He turned his head and saw Kagami, as well as his older brother Shisui. "K-Kagami..." he said weakly. "Are you okay?!" Kagami exclaimed loudly. Naruto tried to respond, before grunting in pain. "Ah! Should I call for a doctor!?" Kagami said loudly. Shisui sighed, "Calm down, Kagami. He's just in the middle of recovering, he's going to be in pain." Shisui said.
Naruto looked to the older brother of his friend gratefully. Shisui noticed this, and gave him a small grin, and a nod. Naruto then turned to Kagami, who he had noticed started to cry, surprising him. "I-I had heard...about what happened..." he then said, making Naruto's eyes widen. 'Does he know of the Kyubi?!' he thought in fear. "I heard that...you and Satsuki were attacked...after I had left you guys..." Kagami said. Naruto then calmed down, which Shisui had noticed, and guessed the reason for his sudden sign of relief, but didn't say anything.
Naruto then gained a sad look, as he then remembered that night's happenings. 'Satsuki...' Naruto thought. Naruto then looked depressed. Kagami saw this, and even though he felt the same, he had something bright inside of him all the time. "Hey! Don't be doing that!" Kagami exclaimed loudly at Naruto, surprising Naruto and Shisui. "You can't be looking depressed like that! What do you think Satsuki would think of you, if she saw you like this, huh?!" Kagami then said. Naruto's eyes widened as he then calmed down, and understood what his friend was saying. Shisui looked at his younger brother with a grin. "Alright, Naruto-kun. Me and Kagami should be leaving now. We both hope you the best recovery." Shisui told him. Kagami looked at his brother before nodding with a grin, "Yeah! Oh! And make sure, once you get out of the hospital, in a week or whatever, come over to my place!" Kagami said. Naruto looked at before giving a small smile, and nodding.
In the Hokage's office, Hiruzen was sitting quietly with his head in his hand, caressing his migraine. The only sound you would hear, if you entered the room, would be the ticking of the clock. Suddenly there was a click sound, notifying Hiruzen that someone was entering. He looked up and narrowed his eyes, as he looked at his long time teammate. Danzo. Danzo walked forward before stopping in front of the desk, looking down at Hiruzen.
They continued to stare down each other for a long while, before Hiruzen eventually broke his gaze away, making Danzo smirk. Hiruzen then looked back up into the single eye of Danzo, "What is it? I know that you wouldn't come into here without any further motive, than having an eye staring contest." he said. Danzo scoffed, "I'm not in the mood for childish games, Hiruzen." he said, coldly. Hiruzen stared at him in anticipation. "Yes. You are right. I want to talk about Naruto, and about what happened the other night...Regarding the Kyubi..." Danzo said, making Hiruzen narrow his eyes.
Hiruzen then sighed, he realized he was doing that a lot lately. "What about it." he questioned. Danzo straightened his posture, "I wish to have the boy brought into the foundation, under my care, and training." he quickly said. Hiruzen instantly narrowed his eyes, dangerously at Danzo. "No. I absolutely decline." he replied. Danzo gritted his teeth, "Stop being naive, Hiruzen!" Danzo suddenly exclaimed loudly. "Don't you understand?! The boy has just awakened the Kyubi, only a couple hours after he had unlocked his chakra! He needs to be put in check, and learn how to control it! He already killed a civilian girl!" Danzo yelled at him.
Hiruzen swiftly stood up, and got into Danzo's face. "No! I still refuse! Besides, we aren't even sure that Naruto was the one to kill the young girl. There is still a chance that there had been an attacker, like we had said in our cover story that we had given to the public." Hiruzen said. Danzo glared at him, "Still! Don't you see! The boy is still losing control of the Kyubi's chakra, already!" Danzo said, knowing full well that what he just said was a lie. Hiruzen glared back, "If my hunch about there being an attacker that night is true. Then the attacker killing the girl in front of Naruto, had stirred his negative emotions, resulting in him channeling the chakra of the Kyubi!" Hiruzen said quickly shutting him down. Danzo continued to glared into Hiruzen's eye. Danzo then turned and started to leave before opening the door and pausing, "This isn't over, Hiruzen." Danzo said ominously, closing the door behind him after leaving.
The underground facility of the Foundation and ROOT was silent. Before suddenly and loud crash and bang. Danzo opened his office door and slammed it shut in rage. Danzo then plummeted into his chair and slammed his fist onto his desk with frustration. Danzo grit his teeth, while glaring at nothing whatsoever. 'Tch! That damn Hiruzen!' Danzo thought with rage.
Danzo then slowed down his breathing to compose himself, and calm down. 'This isn't good, I thought I would have the advantage, using this situation which I created to force Hiruzen to give up Naruto to me. But it was me who was being naive...' Danzo thought with irritation. 'I guess I have no choice but to use my final alternative...I'll have to bring Naruto's mental state even deeper than what it is now. Though in order to do that, I must not only fix the relationship that he has with the Uchiha child. But I must also create another scenario which makes him question his entire being...I'll have to create a scenario which involves his mother's reference, that would put him over the edge.' Danzo thought to himself.
Danzo then sighed, 'I must enact the first stage, right now.' he thought. Danzo then twitched his chakra, which summoned an ROOT ANBU in front of him. "Have Uchiha Itachi report to me." Danzo ordered. The ROOT ANBU nodded and flickered away. 'I know that Hiruzen is planning with Shisui, to use his special dojutsu, to manipulate Fugaku. I cannot allow that, so I must stop Shisui first.' Danzo thought. Suddenly a flicker appeared in front of him, revealing Uchiha Itachi. "I've gotten reports that the Uchiha Police Force is strengthening their armaments. What do you make of this?' Danzo asks. Itachi looks up, "Dissatisfaction towards the Hidden Leaf is running high among the Uchiha." Itachi tells him. Danzo looked down at him, "We can't ignore it anymore, it seems." Danzo says. "Yes..." Itachi agrees.
- ( 1 WEEK LATER ) -
Naruto sighed, as he put his feet under him, getting off of the hospital bed that he has been in for the past week. Naruto turned and looked outside the window and saw that is was already turning night time. 'I wonder if Kagami and his family would mind if I accepted their offer and came over, at this time of the day?' Naruto thought to himself. Naruto then ignored those thoughts and got dressed in black pants and a white shirt, and then left his room.
Naruto walked through the hallways of the hospital and downstairs to the lobby, all the while getting a multitude of glared from everyone that he passed by. Naruto lowered his head, especially after the Iwa Jonin revealed to him the truth. Naruto felt almost guilty when he saw the villagers glare at him in hatred, now knowing the reason why. Naruto entered the lobby and ignored everyone and exited through the front door.
Naruto then continued to trudge on towards the Uchiha Clan's district. Naruto while walking then thought of the Uchiha clan. 'Uchiha...clan...Was there ever an Uzumaki clan? Or a Namikaze?' Naruto questioned to himself, before thinking back to the words the Iwa Jonin had said. 'There was an Uzumaki red haired woman...who was potentially my mother and was the previous holder of the Kyubi before me...' Naruto began to think of the woman he had heard about.
Naruto narrowed his eyes, 'Is the woman that that man mentioned...truly my mother?' Naruto thought to himself. As Naruto was lost in his thoughts he didn't even notice the fact that he had already arrived to the Uchiha district. Naruto looked around as he walked into the district before he suddenly experienced a deep sense of dread. Naruto then felt with his chakra a bunch of other chakra signatures were disappearing. Naruto quickly ran towards Kagami's house and passed by many dead bodies along the way.
Naruto kept running before he flinched and grit his teeth in pain, 'Damn! I still haven't fully healed apparently...' Naruto thought. Suddenly he felt a powerful chakra appear at Kagami's house before he then felt Kagami's and his parents chakra fade away, making his eyes widen. Naruto then reached their house and slammed the door open, he then saw the interior of the house was wrecked, and their was blood everywhere. Naruto saw Kagami's parents dead on the ground before he saw Kagami on the ground as well, "Kagami!" He yelled out in worry. Naruto kneeled down and checked for a pulse and felt only cold skin.
Naruto stared down at Kagami's lifeless body with wide eyes which were starting to brim with tears. 'Another one...Why did it have to be both of them...?' Naruto thought in sadness over the loss of Kagami and Satsuki. The sound of a foot step reached Naruto's ears, making him spin around, and the sight before froze him in shock. Uchiha Itachi, standing with his bloodied sword and bloodied ANBU attire looked at him before he simply left, leaving sounds of killings in his wake. Naruto stated wide eyed as the Uchiha genius left, and continued on his massacre.
Naruto started the tear up once more, and held onto Kagami's body. "Hey...I see that you're here..." A cruel voice made its way to Naruto's ears, making him spin around. Naruto looked at the massive man, who was about 6'5 in height, had wild Orange hair and had a bloodthirsty grin on his face. "...he was right, you did end up coming here...Namikaze Naruto..." the man said. Naruto froze in fear before suddenly the man backhanded his head, knocking him out.
Hiruzen the veteran shinobi. The man so called the Professor. The Sandaime Hokage. For all that he was worth, and his achievements, Hiruzen was freaking out and pacing around his room. 'Where is Naruto...I found out too late that Naruto had went to the young Uchiha Kagami's house the night that Itachi cleared out his clan.' Hiruzen thought in worry. Suddenly the door opens and revealed Danzo, instantly Hiruzen was in front of him. "Danzo, did your ROOT ANBU find any traces of Naruto?" Hiruzen asked urgently.
Danzo enjoyed the uneasy look on Hiruzen's face, but didn't allow it to show in his face. "My foundation and ROOT have found no traces of the Kyubi Jinchuriki." Danzo lied while shaking his head. Hiruzen grit his teeth and held his head in irritation. "Damn it! This is bad! If someone like Iwa or Kumo gets their hands on Naruto, we would be in major trouble." Hiruzen told Danzo who nodded in agreement. "I will continue to have my ROOT sweeping the inside of the village, as well as outside of the village." Danzo said, before he walked away out of the office of Hiruzen.
Danzo was walking away with an evil smirk on his face. 'Perfect, this is all going according to my plan. As long as the men that I had contacted Orochimaru to send me, complete their jobs, then this will all work out perfectly' Danzo thought, while leaving the Hokage tower, and back to his Foundation facility, thinking of what had happened a couple of hours ago.
- ( FLASHBACK ) -
Deep underground the Hidden Leaf Village was a highly secret facility. Deep underground in this facility is the headquarters for the secret unit of ANBU, known as the Foundation, or also known as ROOT. The underground facility of the Foundation and ROOT was silent. Danzo narrowed his eyes as multiple people then entered his office and stood proudly, making Danzo look at them with disgust. "So...What was the purpose of Orochimaru-sama sending us to assist you for, Danzo?" the man, which seemed to be leading the group.
Danzo narrowed his eyes in anger at the man's disrespect. He observed the man, and looked at the massive figure of 6'5 and had wild orange hair. "Are you sure we can trust this guy, Rigo?" one of the other Oto members of the orange haired man's group. The man now named Rigo turned to his teammate. "Silence...Besides, if Orochimaru-sama sent us here, then we should follow his orders." Rigo said. Danzo saw the group then turn to him in anticipation. Danzo then closed his eyes and sighed, before looking back up with a dark cold and sinister smirk.
The others slightly flinched from the gaze that Danzo gave them. "From here on out, you will obey my orders that I give and assign to you, with respect." Danzo said. The group looked at him with irritation. "Huh?! Why would we follow the orders of anyone other than Orochimaru-sama?!" One of them said. Suddenly Danzo appeared behind the man who talked, and he had a tanto next to his throat, shocking the others. "If you want to return...to this Orochimaru of yours, then it would be in your best interests to comply...unless you wish to die that is..." Danzo said, making them all freeze, except for Rigo who was grinning.
Danzo flickered away and appeared back in front of them. "Alright then...it seems that no one wants to die..." he said, making them flinch. "I will now reveal your orders." he said, making them nod. "Your orders are to find Namikaze Naruto after the Uchiha massacre and kidnap him." Danzo said. One of them raised their hand, Danzo nodded. "Where would we find the jinchuriki." they said. Danzo then realized that these men were allied alongside Orochimaru, who most likely already knew of Danzo's plan, and seemed to inform his men everything known about Naruto beforehand. "I'm sure that you are all aware, of what he is. As well as his heritage." They all nodded in response. Danzo nodded as well, "Good, because after you have capture Naruto, I wish for you to torture him. This process will be over the course of a week. I don't care how you do it, physical, mental, whatever it takes to put him over the edge." Danzo said.
Danzo then realized all of the members were looking over at their leader, prompting him to look as well. The orange haired man had a crazed look, which looked like he was excited for the torture. "After you break him multiple times during this period, you must reveal the truth of his mother. You will tell him that she had sacrificed herself for him, just so that he could suffer." Danzo ordered them. "This will take over the course over a week, eventually my ROOT ANBU will come and "save" him, gaining his trust. Though you must make absolute sure and certainty that nothing happens before we arrive." Danzo ordered them. They looked to him and nodded. "Good. The massacre will occur in a couple of hours, get ready." Danzo told them, prompting them to file out of the room.

Danzo continued his way to his foundation headquarters facility, and quickly entered his office and sat down. 'Currently Naruto is in the hands of Orochimaru's men. Once he is eventually broken enough, I can "save" him and gain his trust which would solidify his loyalty to me, and ultimately, Konoha.' Danzo thought. The office room of his was then silent, all except for the ticking clock. Suddenly there was a flicker and a ROOT ANBU appeared in front of Danzo, kneeled down. "Danzo-sama." he said. "What is it?" Danzo questioned. "The jinchuriki boy is within the custody of Orochimaru's men." the ANBU said before flickering away. Danzo smirked, 'All is going as planned.' he thought.
